This place is so good. We went for dinner and the burgers onion rings and pastrami guacamole burger is so good!!! We even went back at 2 am and got a steak sandwich and taco and the chilling cheese dogs and I'm telling you the crew that has been there holding it down I tell you keep it up because we came to cali for my wife and aunts birthday and we will definitely tell people about you!!!

The tuna sandwich was delicious. The chicken sandwich was juicy. It was our first time there. We will definitely be back. I am so glad they have a parking lot because if they didn't, we would not have gone and would have missed out on some great food. Looking forward to trying the fries, onion rings, burgers, patty melt, and quesadilla. We had the zucchini this time. It was very good. Wish the sticks were a little thicker to have a better balance between the batter and the zucchini. The food is so much better than similar items at any other similar type diner. The employees were so nice.

Just moved to west hollywood 6 weeks ago. Wife and I dont eat out much. But we love brick and mortar places. We ordered 2 double cheeseburgers. 2 large fries amd 2 large drinks. Huge burgers. Made perfectly. Tons of flavor. Fries were huge portions. Beautifully cooked and salted. Tea was great. We were stuffed. Took none of the fries home and shared food with a homeless cat in the hood. So this morning. We thought we would instacart some astro burger. Double cheeseburger. Large fry and a taco. Apparently you have a location on Melrose. That's where order came from. Not sure why. As your spot is closer. Taco was really good. Burger was bland. No flavor at all. One small tomato, little lettuce amd no pickle. Large fry was very small. And bag not even full. Zero salt on fries. No ketchup. No napkins. No amything. So disappointed. Probably going to be a while before we go back to astro. You guys ate great. Someome needs to let Melrose know how bad they are. And getting half portions size amd no flavor because we ordered delivery. Astro was the first amd for now the last place we will eat out at.

I tried several different dishes over a few trips. Had a chance at the fried chicken, bacon cheeseburger, and a pastrami sandwich. All good, well cooked, and made to order. It's a classy little old-school diner styled establishment with a bright unmissable sign. My crits are minor. One of the mini jukebox systems was bugged, playing the wrong song every time. The pastrami sandwich is a meat monster, almost overkill, the flavour of the toppings can't get through the sheer girth of this thing. Some extra points for the staff quickly catching that I forgot something. They immediately grabbed it off the table and kept it safe for me to retrieve when I came back. Just thinking about Astro burger makes me hungry. Their fries are the best in Los Angeles, the perfect size and texture. This place is an institution, especially after a late night clubbing.

We’ve come here many times over the years that’s we’ve visited LA. This place is a charming, no frills joint in the heart of West Hollywood that serves delicious burgers, fries and much more. We both ordered the Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger on a lettuce wrap and it was so delicious!

Tasty burgers. Kind staff. Good prices. Although the grill is open to the counter and seating area, there is good exhaust and you don't leave smelling food. Cash only. Excellent location.

Burgers were really great, bacon was crispy, fries were hot and fresh. First time there and I was lucky to get a parking spot on site. Like everywhere in Hollywood, parking is hard to come by. It's open to eat inside, masks required. Not sure if it was because it's not quite summer, but they did not seem to have the AC running and it was hot inside. They handled an aggressive homeless man very well, despite the terrifying look in that man's eyes, a look I've not seen in another human being. Very fun experience overall, will go back if I ever find myself in hollywood again.

Everything is excellent! Very expensive for fast food but worth every penny! Chicken Salad fire! Salmon Burgers fire! Chili Cheese fries bomb! Chocolate Shake heaven. Old school nostalgic little jukebox at every table don’t forget the zucchini fries and fried chicken OMG.

ASTRO Burgers is hot 🔥, great variety of burgers (even veggie options), hot dogs, Mexican food and breakfast (served till 11, I think). My favorites are the pastrami burger and turkey melt which comes with fries. The price is slightly more than a typical fast food chain but well worth it. For over 18 years this has been my breakfast burrito go to. Breakfast Burritos here are HUGE. They come with eggs, potatoes, cheese and your choice of meats. The meats include bacon, sausage, ham or even steak for a bit more. They offer salsa on the side but I’ve never used it. I ask for hot peppers on the side which add kick to each bite. They only have 3 per container so I get 2. The way I order is “breakfast burrito, easy potatoes (because as I said earlier it’s huge with regular potatoes) well done (I like crisp to the potato bite. Not burnt but more than soft) jack cheese and cut in half”. It takes more than a couple minutes as it’s made pretty fresh to order and they have tons of orders in the morning. Give it about 10 minutes, order ahead if you don’t want to wait. It’s a lil expensive in my book to do sausage and bacon and you can NOT do half and half but if you decide to add bacon ask for “bacon strips” to ensure a bacon bite in every bite! Either way Astros, in my opinion, is the Best Breakfast Burrito I’ve found in 18 years. Enjoy!

I love some good charbroiled burger!! This Astro Burger’s offerings are nice, especially their classic cheeseburger. It has your classic American burger taste that is very well-seasoned and grilled. The fries are also great, but in my opinion, these food is a bit more expensive than it should be. But overall, this Astro Burger has some great burgers and everyone should give them a try!

I love a good charbroiled burger. I've been eating Asto burgers since 1976. Starting at the Melrose location. And the La Brea spot as well. First time visiting the West LA location, I was not disappointed. In today's economy, I don't mind paying a premium for quality food that's enjoyable, but $12 for a double cheeseburger is expensive.

Not to be confused with Astro Burgers, Astro Burger is a true LA staple that has been around for decades and has served countless patrons at their three locations; this one in West Hollywood, another in Hollywood directly above Larchmont near the Paramount Studios, and another location over in Montebello. It’s a traditional to go burger spot that also has an extensive Mexican menu as well. I know they serve breakfast, but they are most popular for lunch or dinner. This location does not have a drive-through, however, the one on Melrose does. They have a large parking lot attached so parking is extremely convenient and plentiful. It was quite crowded when we placed our Sunday dinner to go order but all the items arrived really quickly and they did not make a single mistake with our order. I ordered the Avocado Burger, which I thought was really great. I especially appreciated how they gave me a whole half of an avocado, and did not skimp on that at all. I think they added too much lettuce, but that’s more of my personal opinion. We also ordered a BLTA because it’s one of our favorite sandwich orders and it did not disappoint. It comes with a lot of bacon, which was crispy and delicious. We also ordered the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich and it was really good, although I would take off the barbecue sauce. The fries are also really great so I would highly recommend getting them, they are a good mix of crispy and soggy, just needed some extra salt to make them perfect. Overall a really great burger spot that also has countless other options. It’s cheap, quick, and good so I would recommend it to anyone.

We had the quick dinner in the very late night. I’m so glad they open so late and still very busy. Good business. We had the avocado burger and chicken burger. Served very fast. They still have the outdoor seating area. Since they had the full house so we chose to sit outside. Both of the burgers were very good. Juicy and good size. It’s very reasonable!

I've been eating here since 1979. I think their burgers are about $6-$7, a couple more dollars than Mickey D's but the quality of their beef and all their food is really good.. Everything I've had, their breakfast, lunch and dinner are all good. This is the best burger/sandwich/breakfast/salad type fast food joint, with the extra bonus of very reasonable prices and very good quality food. The employees have always been really nice to me also.

I didn't get to try the burgers, but should have..they looked so good on everyone else's plate. I came for breakfast...which was good too. I love the sausage..the kind like in the southern states. I had cheese eggs and hash brown. Totally filling for a tourist day in LA. If I come again to LA, definitely will be one of my stops to eat.

Went here while on holidays. Great burgers from brekkie burgers, beef, chicken and veggie burgers. Old style fit out and a well known Hollywood history after an actress visited Astro after winning the oscars. Great value and laid back atmosphere!

The people that work there are not specifically great. They have a slight attitude. The hamburgers can be paper thin. The simplicity of the food can be better than good ,but not great. It’s above adequate. Fat burger is across the street. That can be better. I feel a lot more healthy eating at Astro. I suppose your supposed to eat more vegetables then beef. Their hamburgers remind me of a salad. I always feel like I’m charged a little too much. The value doesn’t hold up to the cost.

I wanted to sit outside, but the TV in the patio area was on CNN and the audio was on, covering a story about Sean "Diddy" Comb's trial. Get rid of the TV, please, it's an old school diner and it doesn't fit the atmosphere. Do we really need to be bombarded with this crap when we're eating? CNN makes me want to vomit, not ingest more food. I ended up sitting inside for my meal.

I love this particular Astro Burger, and I think it won’t be around much longer. I say this because about 6 months ago I went in and a woman who has worked there for many years told me they were having troubles keeping the doors open. And now I can no longer eat there to support the business; it has become too expensive. I added bacon to my burger yesterday. I thought there was a problem when she game me my total. Adding bacon cost me $4.56. That’s when I realized that was probably the last time I’ll ever eat there. Thanks for all the delicious food and memories!

This is always a great spot with fresh cooked diner food. Fast service with indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable. The breakfast burrito here is enough for 2 meals unless you are very hungry. No fancy ingredients but tastes great. Only thing is this place does not have any salsa it makes, it's Tapatio or Tabasco only.

What can you really say? This place has been around for ages. Great burger, simple, cooked just right, never frozen. Fries and onion rings very good. Pastrami melt to die for. Must try fried zucchini. Pretty good amount of parking but people seems to struggle with driving in and around the restaurant, be careful. Highly recommended.

Ordered to-go, place can get busy for lunch. Had a steak sandwich, fish and chips and a pastrami. The steak sandwich was good but the meat was tough, it was a solid cut of meat which I did like. The bread was perfectly toasted too. The fish and chips were OK, they give you more fries than you'd know what to do with (maybe just my case!). The food was OK but for the price I'd consider looking elsewhere. They have parking on the side and around back, and patio seating. Cool vibes if your looking to stop by maybe get a milkshake.

The burgers are good but overpriced for what the quality of the meat. Good alternative to McDonald's or Fat Burger. They used to only take cash but I think that's changed.

Place has so much unused potential. The pics online make it look much nicer than it is. It could be a very cute 50s style diner but it's just a cheap menu full of frozen fried food. Place was not very clean or kept up. Wish people would take pride in their companies, makes it hard to shop small business when they don't seem to care. Wish them luck and if they ever remodel I might come back.

I had the Pastrami Burger at Astro Burger, but didn’t realize it still comes with a regular burger patty underneath, which made for a weird and heavy combo. The pastrami and burger meat were both super dry, which made the whole thing tough to enjoy. It took a while for the burger to come out even though the kitchen wasn’t busy, and oddly, they gave me my soda right when I ordered, so it was half gone by the time my food arrived. Not the worst place, but definitely not as great as I hoped. Three stars for the friendly staff and decent variety, but overall underwhelming.

Overrated honestly and too pricey. Got a double cheese with bacon and avocado with small Fry's that came out to nearly $30. I couldn't taste the Patty's. It was lacking flavor. If it was good or tasty I wouldn't mind the price. Thousand Island didn't taste like anything. Fast service though.

Don't waste your time nothing to write home to Mom about the eggs were runny and they gave me one pancake I'm glad because it was about 3 in thick soaked up the one and only little pancake syrup they gave me. I think I should have ordered it for dine-in not take out. Plus it was $15 for a breakfast that was not really that good.

I loved going to this place growing yo but the attitude of the cashier needs to be checked. This man tried to Give me the wrong order multiple times and tried to tell me what I ordered without any receipt or without any proof. When I told him to give me my correct shake that I ordered he told me that he would have to charge me to give me the proper item that I ordered. What kind of backwards practice is this where I need to pay for my proper item because the cashier doesn't have the confidence to properly listen to the order? I'm not spending another seven dollars on a milkshake because people can't listen.

Rude and the orders for chilli fries are small for the price they charge! $13 for half of a plate.

The turkey club sandwich is not quite a club but more like a BLT with Turkey. It had very little bacon and almost no turkey. It consisted of mostly lettuce. For $13.29 we expected better. We come here for burgers and love them. The staff are also great. Updated April 2022: The fries have changed. They are now thinner with less flavor. Veggie burger was half the thickness than previously.

They have not followed instructions on making a burrito they put egg on the burrito and it's not the first time. I know there may be a language barrier but the lack of accountability from this specific location is crazy some woman answers and argues with me about my allergy and if I said no egg or not instead of rectifying the issue. Wooow not all but some of the staff here is soo rude and disrespectful. They’re definitely not meant for customer service. I get you want a paycheck but if you don’t like customer service DONT WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. I wouldn’t waste one cent here. Go to the many other amazing restaurants nearby. This one went WAY DOWNHILL! 👎👎

Too expensive for what it was..$26 for a combo is crazy. Fries, Burger & soda. Just go to in n out bro spend 15 bucks or less for a combo. Food is good but not worth the price.

Incompetent rude people. Never do they get the order correct or missing something. Check your to go orders. Niotthe first time but last time returning.

That is the worst place ever! I have never tried such disgusting food🤢 The smell was awful and all the ingredients were unfresh ones! Customer service is the same : we ordered two hamburgers but at the end they gave us three of them with the other price than we ordered! Do not recommend that place at all! Still have the feeling of that disgusting smell 🤮

Food quality is really bad now. This used to be my favorite place. People are nice and the service is good. Stop being cheap owners. You lost my business and a group of my friends business too.

Unsanitary, not clean and extremely rude staff. Came in for a turkey burger. Was overcharged. I watched workers (not pictured) with NO gloves and no hair nets talk on phone, ring up customers at cash register then take his disgusting hand and stick it in a cup full of soda to remove ice so he could ice cream for a root beer float. I will not be back and I'm calling the health department and reporting to the BBB.

Astro Burger used to hit the spot—great food, fair prices. Not anymore. Their breakfast burrito once came loaded with hearty chunks of sausage, potatoes, eggs, and cheese. Today’s order? Sloppily wrapped, barely any sausage, and just sad all around. Truly disappointing.
