Japan Inn never disappoints. One of my wife's favorites and insists on eating here for her birthday every year. The food is good, the cooks are entertaining and the staff is very friendly. Tonight especially we had the good fortune to have a young lady as our server by the name of Cara. She was amazing and a very sweet person.

We’ve never been there for lunch, but went to Japan Inn as a family to celebrate my birthday. They were unexpectedly busy and the service staff was working very hard. Our server was noticeably frustrated and subtly short with us at the beginning, but it seemed he recognized his demeanor and was working to remedy it for us throughout the meal. The hibachi chef, SAHA, was an absolute joy! His charisma, positivity, and cooking skills were unparalleled, and my whole family was blown away by this wonderful man. We’ve been to a lot of restaurants like this, and never have had such a rockstar chef before! Thank you Saha for being so great to us and making our experience a special one. Can’t wait to do it again!

Great hibachi entertainment & food for the price. They can accommodate up to 20 people on a hibachi table. Great for families they do have kids menu. Make reservations if not you might need to wait.

Wow! This place was amazing. The food was awesome. The ambiance was spectacular. Our cook Tang in the hibachi grill was awesome. If you want a nice sit down place where they cook dinner right in front of you this is the place.

Bring the entire family for a celebration. Get ready not only to enjoy a great meal but an amazing display of Hibachi Cooking. The portions are large and no sharing applies but there is always enough for the next day. Yum Yum sauce goes with everything. If you’re lucky to have a great chef make sure you tip him for the show too... you’ll have to set aside a couple of hours for the experience but it will be a great time for everyone.

Came here for a birthday and it was a great time. It can take a while to get a table due to the limitations on number of chefs but the food was delicious. I recommended making reservations if possible.

Staying at the Mizner Place in Weston and right across from it is the resort sits the Japan Inn. You can either chose Hibachi or sit at table. When you chose a table tue food comes way faster but if you have the time the Hibachi experience is awesome. The food is fresh. I chose to sit at a table because I did want to wait too long and I will say my food came quickly. Now where I was seated Though I still got a great hibachi show. I had a great time at my girlfriend’s son’s birthday dinner party! Gigi went above and beyond to make sure everyone’s requests and needs were taken care of. Yesterday I was celebrating my birthday with some friends and received incredible service. They took care of me as if they had known me for a long time. I went on the recommendation of local residents, and I have no regrets. The music, the atmosphere, the food, and the service—from the front desk, the servers, the chef, to the management—were always attentive to every request. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots for lunch. The lunch special is $13.99, and I usually get a combo with a Coke. After tax and tip, I spend around $26, which honestly feels like a steal these days. When you think about it, I spend almost $20 at McDonald's for a meal that doesn’t even come close in quality, freshness, or portion size, so this place is a no brainer. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the portion sizes are more than generous. I never leave hungry, in fact sometimes I even take leftovers home. Whether it’s the chicken, steak, or shrimp, everything is cooked just right and full of flavor. The combo options give you a good variety, and it feels like you’re getting a full experience, even during a quick lunch break. The staff is always friendly and efficient, which I really appreciate during lunchtime. I’m usually in and out at a good pace, even when it’s busy. It’s a solid value, great food, and way more satisfying than grabbing fast food. Highly recommend giving this place a try, it’s worth it!

I'm allergic to seafood and I let them know beforehand. They have a kids menu as well. I will be back. I enjoyed it.

Really good place to eat. We are regulars here. The wait time to sit is usually short, unless you are going between 2pm and 4pm (price is higher after 3:00pm so if you don’t want to wait too much, go before 2:00pm or after 4:00pm. The seasoning they use is really tasty and light. From vegetables, through seafood and meats, you will enjoy a meal that most likely will make you take home some leftovers, as it is a lot. They offer soup or salad to begin (included) and we always order spring rolls before the meal. This is definitely a nice place to eat and we will keep coming back

First time Hibachi experience for our family and it was fantastic here. Located in an amazing area with a lot of shops & restaurants. Ample parking 🅿️ available. Friendly and helpful staff. Cocktails were great. The soup and salad 🥗 were delicious in the hibachi menu. Hibachi dinner with Vegetables, Chicken and Shrimp 🍤 was perfect. The chef was amazing and kept us all engaged while watching him cook. Kids too loved the fire 🔥 and small pranks made by him. Definitely recommended.

Great food, great 👍 cook, great atmosphere. We had an issue with our 8:00pm reservation. We arrived with our entire party of 7 on time, but they could not seat us right away. We waited at least 30 minutes to be seated. We were not disappointed though with the show, the food, or anything else. It was awesome!! Patience is a virtue.

We came in on the 5th of July to celebrate my husband birthday. It was our first time trying Japan Inn, so I was a little nervous when our daughter picked this place. With all of my health problems, it’s a lot that I can’t eat, and cross contamination plays a big part . I’m allergic to chicken, so making sure it’s not touching the grill with what I had to eat is a must. The Chef was very understanding to my needs. From the moment we arrived, the staff was upfront, polite, and communicative about seating time, which we genuinely didn’t mind at all. They were professional and respectful the entire time. We had a fantastic and refreshing hibachi experience from start to finish. On Saturday, we were at the Weston Town Center and craving sushi, so we decided to stop at Japan Inn. We were seated immediately, and the server promptly came to our table. I ordered the Tokio Roll, which was the roll that the server recommended, and it was delicious. It was a fried roll with toppings, and while both the roll and the toppings were great on their own, together they were amazing. Surprisingly, it was also quite filling. The server was attentive throughout our meal. During our time there, we saw the staff celebrating birthdays at two tables, and the way they did it was unique. They put on a fun spectacle while singing and playing the drums, but it wasn’t annoying. I would definitely return.

Went here for lunch with the guys, and the food was good. We didn't get the show, though, for some reason. We also had sushi rolls, which were excellent. It was affordable and clean and the staff was very friendly. I will try them for dinner sometime.

Japan Inn offers variety in japanese style food and an family's atmosphere. Hibachi/Teppanyaki style food is great and the show offered by the chefs are excelents. Client service must improve because once they take your order they almost completely forget about the customers.

Good tepanyaki restaurant in Weston. Kids enjoy a lot the food and the cooking. Very good quality of ingredients (one of the best tuna I have ever tried) Very good value for money. You can also eat on a standard table with menu that at course includes sushi.

Filet and scallops were amazing. Sushi tasted like you would get from a supermarket so I was not a fan (management took it off the bill for us since i could not finish it). Edamame was delicious. The crab angels had too much stuffing and the sauce was not a sweet and sour like I usually get with them. Service was good and management was exceptional.

It was great visit at Japan Inn, the food is always great and the theatrics were fun as usual. Our server Jessica was friendly and funny and provided great service, and our chef Whisker was really cool and did a great job with the food. Great visit, will come again!

On April 10, 2025, I shared a negative experience about Japan Inn in Weston. I’m updating my review because the general manager later apologized and issued a full refund for that night. I hope Japan Inn can improve its customer service and cleanliness. If the floor manager that day was aware of the issue but couldn’t handle it properly, then retraining or replacement might be necessary. It shouldn’t have taken this much effort to resolve the situation.

We had reservations , they seated us promptly, before we finished soup sales was in front of us and they started cooking. Please let’s enjoy dinner don’t rush us! Change up the cooking routine, it’s always the heart with the rice , volcano onion, choo choo train let’s be original. We always looked forward to a fun evening there , now it’s boring, prices went up for less of an experience.

Lack luster location. The hibachi chef was entertaining, especially for the kids. The food was heavily salted. The soup was very bland. The portions for protein were very small compared to other locations. Bar staff was attentive and so was our waiter.

The people here are excellent and friendly, very attentive, and entertaining. However, the quality of the food was just ok. The veggies seemed to have been sitting; the carrots had turned somewhat brown, and the rice was a bit hard. The chicken was slightly overcooked. The yum yum sauce was too sweet for me. The food tasted good. Overall, I won't be returning. But it was a good time with friends. Others seem to really enjoy the food, so try it for yourself.

Where to begin. My family and I have frequented this restaurant for years. Its normally packed and the wait is usually 30-45min+ on weekends. We visited the place on a weekday and the wait time was about 15min. We were then taken to a Hibatchi table. The server was nice, took our order and started us on appetizers. We waited almost an hour for a cook to start on our table. This hasn't happened before even on weekend visits. There were available cooks since we noticed other tables clearing out. This was unacceptable. While waiting we spoke to the Manager and she handled the situation by providing dessert free of charge. We appreciated that but they could've done more. The cooking demonstration was lackluster. The onion volcano smoke presentation was the worst we've ever seen. The cook practically set the whole onion on fire. He was probably practicing and had not perfected this. The overall presentation was not entertaining for the kids. He seemed to be in a rush to cook, clean, and leave. I understand that everyone starts somewhere but this was not worth the price. After all, the cooking presentation is a large part of the dining experience. The food was delicious and the portions were more than enough. Unfortunately, we will be taking this restaurant off the list. Consistency and time management would make this place better.

Great place for large groups to gather. The service is good and the staff is friendly and engaging. My girlfriend didn't feel well after eating the food and spent part of the night in the bathroom. It may have been have been the fact that we are not in the habit of eating lots of butter and oils. We don't drink alcohol so that wasn't a factor.

- The manager provides a 5 stars service - The food is good 5 stars - The price is expensive so 3 stars - The lady who greets you is 2 star - The hibachi tables stink like propane, therefore they sat me in another table 2 stars - The people sho go there uppity and not kind. A not so nice looking lady sat with us and made up an onions allergy to sit by herself. Later I saw from another table onions they were cooking the volcano of onions. I won't go there again, nor I recommend it. Service 2 stars.

Just take a look at the photo and tell me that’s supposed to be an appropriate portion for an adult man? my family and I walked into this place for Father’s Day, which we thought it was going to be a good idea, but as soon as we sat down, for some reason, the server was constantly forgetting our orders for some reason? We specifically asked for no ice waters and etc. Next we have to wait until a solid 50 to 55 minutes before our actual hibachi started mind you the guy who arrived looks super tired and depressed, and he was just boring overall… When I come to eat a hibachi it’s because I like to see a chef that enjoys the cooking experience and serving the people that wants to eat his food, but this dude was super depressed… once his boring performance was over and everyone got their equal share of proportions for some reason he underserved me? personally, I got the steak and scallops and in terms of protein like I understand is that’s what he wants to give me small portions of, but it was pretty obvious that he also barely gave me any veggies as well? I sat there confused, wondering what in the world happened where he thought it was appropriate enough to underserve me, protein, and veggies? ALSO that actually reminds me that he went overkill with the salt even when he told him not to… gigi tried to play it off but it’s awkward enough when I finished my entire plate 10 minutes before everyone else did… The chef said his name was sheem? Sounds fake but oh well. At least she tried giving us free shots… Bad service by gigi. 100% do not recommend

My filet steak was over cooked in the hibachi order that I requested medium rare. There was no red or pink in the meat. The female person that took our order lied to my wife about her order. My wife wanted to share her meal with her friend that was with us at dinner. My wife was advised that there would be a $10 dollar up charge for sharing by the woman that took our order. Instead of the up charge, the woman suggested that she would SAVE us money by splitting the order into two plates for my wife and friend. My wife was charged for two full plates, much more than the $10 up charge.

I gave this restaurant one last try, but to my disappointment, my take out order was once again not only late, but incorrect. I ordered 5 rolls and the most expensive one wasn’t in my order. I ended up with a different roll. They also didn’t put ANY wasabi, eel sauce, or spicy mayo. It’s frustrating and I’m officially done giving this restaurant a try.

Went last night and the waiter was awful and gave me the wrong meal and it took several attempts of my complaint for him to try to fix it. The manager came over because someone else from our table also had complaints about him. They put on the bill that they gave me a $12 discount. However, I’m looking at my credit card statement and I see that I was overcharged anyway. My total was $50 with the discount and my credit card was charged $64. No wonder they didn’t give me a receipt.

Disappointing Experience Compared to Miami Location I visited the Japan Inn in Weston with high expectations, hoping for the same quality and experience as the Miami location near Dolphin Mall. Unfortunately, it fell short—especially when it came to the food. I ordered the ramen, but what I received was far from authentic. It tasted more like chicken chow mein than ramen. There were no essential ingredients like eggs or pork belly, and instead, it was overloaded with vegetables—including zucchini, which has no place in a proper ramen dish. To be honest, I’ve had better ramen from a Publix deli. To make matters worse, one person in our group had to wait over 30 minutes after everyone else was served before their food arrived. Overall, we were very disappointed. Japan Inn in Weston doesn’t live up to the standard set by its Miami counterpart.

We went to dinner here for a friend's birthday. It took 1.5 hours for us to get our food. When it came out one of the sushi rolls had large chunks of plastic pieces in the rolls the waitress took it back to the chef and they claimed they were just "xl sesame seeds". And then the hibachi made both of myself and my husband terribly sick. DO NOT GO HERE spend your money somewhere that has actual quality and wont make you sick.

Este fin de semana, fuimos por dos cumpleaños de la familia, cabe anotar dos acontecimientos MUY desagradables, la primera me han traído la bebida en un vaso lleno de grasa lo cual creo que lo lavaron en grasa y así lo sirvieron, eso me generó bastante asco y muy POCA HIGIENE del establecimiento, adicional la atención de la persona que estaba encargada de la mesa fue completamente, arrogante y grosera. Hablé con el manager pero tengan cuidado con el tema de la higiene, es completamente grotesco y una falta de respeto ya que los precios no son gratis anexo foto de la bebida tan asquerosa que me ofrecieron. Si observan bien, da muchísimo que pensar. Es un tema de higiene y salud.
