The people, food, view. Best chorizo breakfast since Jill's? Cafe in the bay area during Big Boat Series sailboat racing. I just became a regular. 😋 yum
Excellent home cooking and very friendly staff
The pastrami special was delicious, servers were very nice as well. I like the atmosphere right on the water where you can see the boats.
My daughter found it online and it was wondering, waitresses beautiful, polite and kind. My family really enjoyed it thank you ladies! And the food was delicious!
This is an AMAZING hidden gem! The staff treats Us like family & every dish is made fresh!!! We LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
Nice and friendly staff,Great food & good prices. You have the try the " Hot mess" for breakfast, you won't be disappointed. 🙂
Great view, great food, great prices, decent service. We loved eating here!
Very clean excellent food great prices plenty of parking what more could you ask for be sure and try the hamburger with 100% Angus beef it'll melt in your mouth really good service nice people great experience
I love the food here and the company I meet at the marina it's so quaint, most definitely would recommend, and the owner is a good friend of mine
Popular place ,open from 8am-2 pm in the week and 8am-3pm on the weekends. It is clean and service is good. Nice view of the marina with all the boats and sometimes they have a Sunday brunch pre-covid with live music. Plenty of parking as well. Food is good as well for a cafe place and they have several kind of beers and mimosa. You can sit outside or inside as well. The owner take good care of the place and it has a A rating from LA County health department. I like their burger with fries on Mondays and of course their special for Tuesdays are tacos. They have a nice affordable turkey dinner with everything on thanks giving, they are closed between Christmas and the New Year.
What an absolutely lovely hidden gem! You would never know it was there but worth the adventure to get there. It is run by a lovely lady named Sherri (sp?) and she has surrounded the establishment with staff that care about their customers and think about food outside the box in a delicious and unexpected way. Ask about the soup specials on the weekends, get it no matter what and you will understand why. We have always enjoyed their food - chicken green pozole, chicken fried steak, the hot mess (this good - trust me - get anything with gravy - even the Southerners rave about the gravy), huevos rancheros, menudo, belgian waffle, etc. We make it a point to have breakfast there at least every fortnight. We enjoy the food, the staff and being right next to a marina!
You will not regret the experience!
Great hidden gem along the water making for a perfect brunch spot especially cause the food and service is also really good
Gal was new i believe. Has to ask 3 times for lemon for my ice water. Never got it. Mixed up orders. Guess ya gotta start somewhere.
Hidden gem restaurant at the marina. When in town I visit several times a week. Staff is welcoming and always remembers you. The view is fantastic and the value for your money is on point. Try their specials!!
A classic waterfront joint without the traditional greasy spoon aspect. Dinghy friendly and you may be able to finagle a small slip for a couple of hours by calling the marina office. Great food, beer and wine and the perfect spot for champagne brunch. The perfect venue to waste a summer afternoon.
This place was fabulous! The food was delicious, our server was incredibly sweet and the prices were incredibly affordable. The menudo was delicious. Lovely brunch on a Saturday!
Pleasantly surprised! I had the basic breakfast and everything was cooked perfectly. The bacon wasn't fatty and greasy, good sourdough and nice, fluffy pancakes! I will be back.
Beautiful place for breakfast. The atmosphere is very tranquil right next to a Marina. The service was great and the food is absolutely magnificent.
Super friendly staff, great service, good prices and Stella on tap. All this in a nice, quiet setting with boats in the background. I'll be back to check out their Friday night entertainment.
Hidden gem. Cozy and feels like you're having breakfast at a friends place. Not a typical greasy spoon at all. Fresh, simple and fun menu. Daily specials are a must try.
Ladies and gentlemen this is hands down the best cafe that you could get to within an hour of where I live in Wilmington the food is excellent the people are Very professional and the food is the best try it you'll like it tell Sherry shes the owner Captain Morgan sent you There real Professionals. There were so many people there Friday night july 30 it was crazy with people but we're glad to have got fed the food is always perfect and we'll worth the small wait
Hidden gem, simple comfort food and eclectic crowd make this a go to place for brunch, and it's on the water! The staff are amazing, friendly and the kitchen is very efficient!
Great food. Good view. This is a hidden gem that's a must visit. Prices are reasonable and everything was delicious.
Love this place had the best time with my wife enjoyed my chicken and waffles and she had a mess and it was delicious I give this place 5-star Ira makeup I recommend that you check it out it will not be a waste of your time the waitresses are friendly atmosphere is awesome and you get to look at boats and the bridge just all time good time and their food is delicious love this place
Incredibly special place! Lovely people, delicious food. Beautiful marina view
We enjoyed our meal here. Our server was very kind and the food was good and reasonably priced. We enjoyed sitting out by the water. It is a little odd pulling up because it's in an industrial area but once you get to the restaurant you don't have that feeling anymore.
We had a group of about 30 to the Cafe today. It was a great time with delicious food. The owner was very engaged and she along with her staff made our time a fun experience that it is worth to recognize and encourage others to visit Marina Cafe. Thank you. Jackie Loper, Cruise Chair, CBYC
Shari and staff are wonderful, feels like everyone knows everyone and always an upbeat place, food is very fresh, served hot and very good food. Consistency in food, portions are great. Friday evenings they host movie night and great bands and tasty beers. Worth your visit 👍👍👍👍👍 Oscar Cruz
Was awesome! Due to covid...lots of places have dining outside...but limit groups at 4 or 6. Between my husband and i we have 5 kids...so 7 of us. This place took a breakfast reservation. We got there and ate in the marina...water views and the food was delicious. Beautiful cafe! Wonderful wait staff!
My extended family!! Think my order has my name on it (Dom). Sherri is a Jewel with a heart of pure Joy and Hospitality. Once I’m seated, I imagine myself dining in Italy, France, Grecian Isles, or the Islands. A taste of vacation, smack dab in the Wilmington Shores. Im I’m Love ❤️
I love coming here for any time meals and drinks very comfortable setting. Ther service are very attentive and caring about your comfort. My server and cook cared about the food that come out of the kitchen. My watress Sheri was a wonderful server and was happy to se Use Thank you sheri i will always stop by and have breakfast lunch and Cold drinks with you. Your customers from port Canaveral florida
Best fish and chips I've had. Thin crispy breading, fish cooked perfectly. They also make their own amazing tartar sauce! Fun, friendly atmosphere. The front shop ladies make everyone feel like family. On weekends you may even catch some live music by local teens who like to play there. Decent beer selection, great prices. This place is a gem.
Super casual dining restaurant blessed with great food and service as well as its own free parking lot. My bacon and eggs over easy with buttered sourdough toast & can pineapple juice was just right. And my dining companion's savory sausage burrito & hot coffee hit the spot for him. We opted to sit outdoors to enjoy the lovely weather & views which go on forever from this well placed hole-in-the-wall location. Our waitresses were super nice and very efficient. As a whole, this eatery is a great place to decompress and enjoy a snack, meal or refreshments to let the day fall away from you.
Jessica, Rose, and the entire crew are a delight and provide incredible service.
What a gem! The restaurant faces the ocean and is nestled amongst the yachts! The ambience is perfect! It was Taco Tuesday and the fried hard shell beef tacos were just like mother’s beef tacos, including the tooth pick marks on the finished fried shells. I love and miss my mom so much and these tacos brought back so many great memories! They were fantastic!!! Everything looked great on the menu! Will definitely come back!!
Hidden Gem. Old school cafe. Always seats. A special space in the port. Perfect on a nice weather day. Quality service, decent food and value!
First time here for me. The food and coffee were great. Service was slow, I'm going to say because when we got there, it was only one server, we order our food and came pretty quick. Than another server showed up. Over all, I will go back. Thank you
My son and his beautiful wife brought me there for Mother's Day today.. We had a reservation. While we waited we enjoyed the live band that was there. The music was good. The lady, I think the owner or at least who seemed in charge was very kind to seat us inside when I asked, because she was going to seat us outside. The people that work there go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. To take good care of you. My son and i had a meal what they called a hot mess. it was good.
Food was amazing and for a very reasonable price. The atmosphere was so welcoming and calming being right next to the water and the owner is literally the nicest person ever. 10/10 would definitely recommend and will be coming back whenever I can.
Service needs to just make sure they reach out to Customers and see if they are in need of anything else, I waited 15 min to get a box and no refill on the drinks but everything else was good food was delicious.
Oh boy. We found this cute adorable hidden spot called Marina Cafe today. Food was delicious and everyone there was nice, friendly. Owner Sheri is a delight down to earth person. We are definitely going back. Thank you all
Service was great 👍👍 Food tasted excellent 👌 👍 👌 👍 👌 👍 👌 Definitely a favorite place to eat Come early they close at 2pm
Amazing Food amazing service. Wilmington Shores is a diamond in the rough. All the girls are amazing. The cooks are amazing and the only thing we’d like to see. Is it open a little bit later love the restaurant love the owner and they’re seating for all.
A cutie little coffee shop in the middle of a quiet marina. Look out at the boats, look around at the interesting decor, and enjoy the great coffee and friendly wait staff.
I personally love this restaurant. They have the best of everything. The fish and chips are the bomb. And the biscuits and gravy, well that's a secret spice you may never figure out. But the best ever. I was there yesterday for my fish and chips. And come to find out, it was Sharon's Birthday.6/26. So happy belated Birthday 🎈🎂🎈🎂🎈🎂🎈🎂
Wow, I can’t stop talking about their chicken salad! It was absolutely loaded with tender chicken, so much that it almost felt like a full meal on top of crisp lettuce. The mix of avocado, tomatoes, and veggies added the perfect balance of flavor and freshness. Every bite tasted incredible and left me wanting more. Easily a five-star favorite!
Always a fun experience when I come via car or my boat. I love the owner Sheri... she's a personal friend now. We've also hosted an adoption event for dog rescue there. Great hidden gem on the water. And they're DOG FRIENDLY🫶🏽💙💩
I have to say I work in this area and in 4 years I’ve never been here. Decided to come in today to treat myself to a nice breakfast and well I’m blowing outta the water here! So delicious!! So I ordered TheHotMess( presentation was one of a kind for sure) but so damn good. And I got my coffee black how I always do and I brew is solid, also got a bottle of champagne with the peach nectar and again ice bucket, clean glass, delicious drink… over all this place is truly a Diamond in the rough. I’ll be back and I will be telling many about this place so keep up the awesome work and satisfying experience.
If you're in the mood for incredible food, a beautiful view, and the perfect relaxed harbor vibe, Marina Cafe is the place to be. Hands down, they serve the best chowder I've ever had—rich, flavorful, and so indulgent I could’ve sworn there was a hint of vanilla bean. It was like a bowl of pure gourmet heaven! The owners are more than just cafe operators—they're true chefs. I had the turkey sandwich with pesto on Panini bread, and it tasted like Thanksgiving dinner in every bite. So satisfying! As I sat out on the patio, the scenery was stunning—yachts everywhere, and even three ladies in captain's hats prepping for a sailing party. (Side note: three captains on a ship is definitely two too many!) The whole place gives off that upscale yet laid-back vibe, and it's pet-friendly to boot. I spotted three beautiful dogs at different tables, which made the atmosphere even more charming. The service was spot on. Our waitress was super attentive, making sure my raspberry and unsweetened tea mix was perfectly balanced, and she brought me a refill before I even finished my first drink. Talk about service! The locals at the next table made some great menu recommendations for future visits, and everyone was so neighborly—it made me feel right at home. And a little jealous that they eat here daily. Now, let me rave about the chicken salad. Oh. My. God. It had so much chicken I thought I was eating chicken strips on a bed of lettuce, LOL! But seriously, the veggies, avocado, and tomatoes all perfectly complemented the heap of chicken. Every bite was amazing. This cafe is five star dining with a casual yacht-life vibe, amazing food, and top-notch service. Honestly, after this visit, I almost wanted to buy a yacht just so I could eat here every day. Highly recommend!
What a gem! Great vibes, good food, awesome value. So glad I took the trip out to find this place!
Always come here for a quick bite. But because it's Good Friday I had a bowl of clam chowder and one of the best fish tacos I've had in a very long time.
Cafe in Wilmington ❤️ relax and get away for a moment to have some good food.
Keep coming back for more! I enjoy all the food options as I like getting new things every time I go. I have yet to dislike something from their menu. The owner is so sweet and attentive to your needs and so are MOST waiters with the exception of “Erika”she did not want to sit me one day when I went with a party of 5. She didn’t take the time to look for a table and denied us. The owner on the other hand took me in after she denied us. Ever since idk If she remembers us but she gives me the stinky eye. Whatever I’m not there for her, I’m there for the food. 😎
Friendly crew and great food and view. Always a pleasure to stop in for breakfast.
Super charming spot with delicious food and ambiance. It’s our new favorite breakfast place! Our toddler son loves looking at the boats and birds. Service is very friendly and welcoming. Food is perfectly portioned and tasty - we all finished our plates including our picky toddler! Will be back:)
I was visiting Long Beach while my partner was working and I decided to come here before my drive back home. I always like to go to places with my name and the reviews had me convinced. I ordered the fish and chips and they did not disappoint!!! It was so freaking good. I think the only thing that was a bother for me was the drive into the location is pretty industrial and heavy with oil drilling. I'm not a big fan of that as an environmentalist but that's not the restaurants fault of course. Just an observation I had. Regardless, if you're in the area you need to eat at this place!!!
I love it here, wonderful food, pet friendly, safe environment pretty sick view of the boats and the food here is great. My favorite: chicken and waffles. They have breakfast lunch and dinner. Worth the wait and pretty affordable.
Nice and friendly place. Mexican food vibe and classic pacific taste. View on marina and boats. Beer comes along. Good place for many occasions: just breakfast, beer with friends or sports watching (they have tv mounted on the wall. Service with a smile.
Great food! Great scenery! Great atmosphere! And very reasonable. Sherry is very sweet and very personable! She takes pride in her cafe and it shows! Was in the area and found it on accident! Highly recommend it! It will be a memorable experience! Promise!
Great food, great service, and great atmosphere!❤️❤️❤️ Fish tacos were yummy, and bloody mary was super delicious with bacon, celery, olives, and celery!!
Finally got a chance to visit this hidden gem in the middle of the Wilmington marina. I'd been having a craving for authentic menudo & recalled a friend had recommended this place a while back. It's a lil twisty & turny to get there, but once I did it was a lovely experience. Our hostess Jennifer was really sweet & pleasant & the actual menudo was really good & came with all the fixings. I plan to go back & try their famous, in-house clam chowder! This cafe was a nice, cozy lil place that is obviously loved by the locals & the dockworkers.
Great spot to enjoy the best burger in town, dockside, with friends and a beer and to the sounds of Carla D and the B-Side May 14th!!! The smell of the ocean water makes me want to have raw oysters and a martini, but beer and wine only here.
Indeed this place is a surprising hole in the wall you wouldnt expect to find in the area . Neither is the very quaint marina community I've recently discovered . From the parking lot you cannot see the restaurant but tucked away there is very relaxed outdoor seating with beautiful views . You get this very good downhome feeling there as if your a part of a beachy seen in a movie . The staff was so nice and down to earth . I had the hot mess which if you are what you eat is a perfect fit . it was 11 dollars which is maybe a little bit more than I would expect to pay but your paying for the location too . life is all about the experience right ? Give it a try . Its a great place to take pictures for your Instagram .

If you ever wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy restaurant and get to meet the most wonderful and friendliest waitresses and owner up close and personal this is your place! Kudos to the chef, food is amazing and the view and waterfront scenery makes you forget that you’re in a city! Thank you gals for receiving my entire family and everyone enjoyed it
Wonderful service, great view, excellent food. A hidden gem!

Enjoyable place for lunch
The food is excellent but the waitresses are a bit slow. Awesome view and atmosphere.
On the boundary of land and sea, the Marina Cafe is easily reached by car or boat. The view is stunning, of the boats and ships of Los Angeles harbor. Food was great, and well served. Far more modern than the alternative eateries accessible by boat nearby. Bright and polish. Has indoor seating for maybe thirty, with booths and a counter. Outdoor seating for a few tables more.
New owner has brought new life to what was a boring place. Had a tasty breakfast country steak at a reasonable price. 4 stars because of the plain muddy flavor coffee shops have that you have to improve it with flavor cream.
Food was good but some was parts cool. Service was ok little slow. When I go to breakfast I want my coffee fast. Like now. We had to wait. All in all love the local.I maybe back. $$
First time there, sort of off the beaten path if you didn't know someone who lived in the Marina. Came for the 2nd Sunday brunch & live music on the patio. For a small cafe they had a lot of food out for the brunch buffet, Prime rib, mac&cheese, salsa sll 2 thumbs up and the enchiladas/rice/beans was great too. Beer was nice and cold too.
Lovely place. Jessica was amazing and very informative
small hidden gem, consistent & quality food, patio seating overlooking a marina, awesome atmosphere, and friendly staff. I almost want to give them a one star review so this place won't get popular and crowded but how selfish would that be. they have a monthly all you can eat brunch that's really good and worth it even if it does get crowded. they have options for most anyone and serve alcohol. best place ever, except sometimes the waitresses are just horrible, and don't know how to remember things or manage their time.
Great view. Great service and any item on the menu is delicious. Foods fresh and service is friendly. They make good body marys here. Try it out. It's in a hidden corner and it's a prime area. Not crowded. Great for a Sunday morning visit to chill and grub.
Decent Cafe by the marina. Food is decent. Service is decent. Prices are decent. Views are decent. Nothing to write home about, but it is one of the few restaurants in the area open and serving to the table.
Staff is great, food is good, but most times I've eaten there I've left hungry! So portion control needs to be addressed!
If you have your boat in a slip here at the marina then the cafe is very convenient. As for the staff and customers, couldn't be more of a friendlier bunch. The food is okay if you had a few drinks and it's the only option for you. The prices are fair for the amount of food you get. I would eat there again.
The food is good. Service is slow, which often does not allow me to visit during lunch. The owner is mostly nice, but does occasionally act a bit rude. Not sure if she realizes it. And it has happened several times.
I felt sorry for the waitress. They need more help. I had to ask 3 person for coffee and the biscuits and gravy were cold. Maybe Next Time I Hope.
Food is good but service is slooooow. The same person serving as hostess is also waiting on some tables and serving coffee. I asked for more orange juice 3 times and never got it. Never got the toast with my breakfast. Definitely need to improve on service.
Food is not bad at all but if you order an $8.00 breakfast burrito and ask to substitute the bacon with turkey patty, you will be charged $14 for that burrito without advance notice. Our waitress was nice but didn't tell us that substituting bacon with Turkey is going to increase the price from 8 to 14! In addition, our waitress also brought chillie verde souce on the side eventhough we didn't asked for it and we were charged additional $3 for a souce we never asked and didn't even eat. I feel like I'm fooled and tricked.
Both me and the wife found multiple nasty bits of bone or who knows what in our burger patties. My goodness whats happened to quality food here in the US. . Enough to make me go veg. Fries were delicious and everything else was great. Stick with chicken if u have to eat there unless they can address the issue..
Not exactly sure why but we were shunned like we had leprosy 25 minutes sitting directly in front of the host lady Eye contact was avoided and no greeting at all Not one word After 25 minutes we left and will never return
