Visiting from Southern California, the atmosphere was not only very inviting, but esthetically pleasing in this quaint charming town of Winters, CA. After a flight of mostly reds, we walked away with a bottle of the Malbec, Temporillo, Syrah andbmy favorite estate wine, the Druit Syrah which I had later that night with venison. The Druit was something special. Get it while limited supplies last! Solace Ranch & Vineyard

Stopped by just to check it out. Met Quintin and was immediately at ease with him. Did a tasting and bought 3 bottles of red. By the time I got out to my car I told my wife we should join, so we put the wine away and went straight back in and signed up. This is the first winery I joined and I'm happy I did. Every one we have brought here has left with 2 to 6 bottles per visit. I was also very sad to find out that Quinton was leaving and is now gone. ****FOR THE RECORD**** I'm not a wine fanatic but really do enjoy EVERYTHING I have tried at Berryessa Gap. Thank you, Steve C.

Berryessa Gap is amazing. I first found them through a Groupon for a tour and tasting. During the tour I met Quentin, the tasting room manager. He gave a great tour and really made a connection and got us excited about their wine. I loved every variety I have tried, none of them were less than good. Many were awesome. I joined their wine club and have been very happy about that decision. Also, my mom came to visit and Quentin made the visit very special for her, and she ended up buying a half case for later without planning to do so. Someone give Quentin a raise because he's seriously doing wonders for customer relations and giving a great image for the brand. :)

Can't do much about the cold weather, but the wine tasting and distribution of my wine club member bottles was efficient. The heaters on the patio were lit, and look good, but they didn't provide as much heat as hoped.

Decent wine. Good service/conversation Med. to high price . Whites are on sweet side, but good. Reds are were tanic forward but also really good.

Attention was excellent. Place is neat and well presented - great selection of reds and sparkling wines. Cons - no food or snack servings and it closes way too early, even during weekends.

On our way back from Napa we realized there was one more winery we could visit as it closed at 6. We arrived at 5:40 and after realizing we were in the bar section we made our way to the winery area after asking for a wine tasting we were told we could not do a tasting as it was “ too late” even though it was before 6, I felt it was a bit rude considering we were there before the 6 o clock closing time and we had bought about 2-3 bottles at all the previous vineyards we had visited, I guess they don’t care about serving people past 5:30
