The food is always so good and fresh. Made to order, low price dining, great seating space, food brought to your table, they make good drinks alcohol and non alcohol, great service. Slices of orange and fortune cookies after every meal on the house is great. Great space for kids too, they have highchairs. Spanish menu items as well as typical to non typical Asian cuisine can be experienced here.

Drove back to Yonkers from a night out at the opera in NYC. It was around 1130PM, and I ordered some spicy dishes of chicken and shrimp. I picked up the order right before closing, and brought it home. Delicious! Crispy and tasty!

I moved to Yonkers a year ago and have tried every Chinese food place around here and they all suck. When I want rice I want it made the right way with the vegetables in it the onions the eggs all the works and this place has it thank God. Took me a year to find it. Every other place around here has five stars and they suck I swear people do not know what is good food in this town. You're seriously so used to eating crap.

Update! I recently received rice that was not to my expectations I thought a new cook was making food. For two weeks it was not good. Today I decided to try again and I was very surprised it was what it's been for years. I actually loved it. What ever was the reason, I'm happy it's good again. So I'll continue to be a customer. Never had any issues over the years, except for those two weeks. I actually threw the last order in garbage. I was so disappointed I'll give credit when credit is due. I was very content this time.i hope it continues this way.

Great spot to pick up food. Different cooks depending on the day of the week so the food varies but they actually put veggies in their rice unlike the square. Wish they would make their general tso chicken spicy, they just chuckle when I say I want it spicy. 2023/04/24 They stopped putting veggies in the rice, unless you ask. Food is still good, but long wait times. All the apps are overloading their kitchen. They can't keep up with normal in store customers, delivery orders, and all the apps. They need to remove themselves from the apps.

This restaurant has been here a long time. The food is fantastic, but sometimes the meat can be dry. I've ordered here on sometimes when I can afford it and they have failed to follow instruction several times. Other than that the food is still good. Dont order crispy food for delivery. This place is very busy and your crispy chicken will be soggy by the time it gets to your door.

This is establishment has been open for the last 20+ years that I can remember . The food was excellent and great especially the steak with Onions with special fried rice . Now the management has change the old owner must've sold the business maybe about a year and a half to two years ago and the food is good and ok but not flawless and excellent like before I can definitely tell that they have a new cook in the back ..

I have been looking for a good Chinese food spot for a while now and haven't found one yet. The rice was mushy but ok the meat wasn't pork but fat. The chicken wings wasn't good the only thing was good was the spare rib tips. I guess I won't be eating Chinese food any time soon.

The food here used to be great but recently, around 4months ago their quality went down drastically. I don’t know what’s going on with this restaurant but their quality has gone down, and they’re not cheap. I will no longer buy from them. I ordered a broccoli with chicken and the broccoli tasted like it was rotten or way past it’s prime. Awful.

Stopped here for a snack, and was very disappointed. I love fried wontons, and their rendition of it wasnt up to standards. They werent puffy like other chinese resteraunts, small in size, and were way too greasy and not tasty enough. Dont expect to go there again.

Terrible rice ... I've been a customer for 5 yrs. chose this location over the competition one block over. But last two months or so. especially the rice has been horrible, mushy over cooked nasty rice. I called to ask why ? is there a new cook?.I was leaving as a customer. They had no apology, no answers at all. Just thank me for calling and that's it. I was shocked. They were recently shut down for being unsanitary. And reopened with new paint job. But must have replaced the cook.. Beware!

2 stars bc food was fresh and lo mein was tasty. Disclosure , I ordered via uber eats, therefore the report was filed via the app! I did not need to call the restaurant as Uber refunded my funds. However I want to confirm the reviews below of receiving incorrect items. I ordered curry beef and onion and I received curry chicken and onion. I don’t eat chicken so I had to throw the entire food away and only eat the beef lo mein I ordered. A bit disappointed as the food smelled good and seamed fresh. Not sure how clearly selected items ordered from your menu are missed. Also my instructions were followed so it gave I cooked this wrong meat and I don’t care I’m giving it to the customer anyways !

Not only was the delivery an hour late, the order was soaked in oil, the rice was hard and the tea was overly sweet. NEVER AGAIN!

4/18/22 —If I could give zero stars I would. I placed my order at 6:27pm to arrive at 7:15pm as my children are in bed by 8pm. I called the restaurant at 7:20pm when my food did not arrive as stated, the rude Asian or Chinese woman told me it would be there in 10 minutes and hung up on me. At 7:40pm I called the restaurant AGAIN and the same lady answered. I advised her it has now been 20 minutes since I spoke with her and over 1 hour since the order was placed and my children’s food have still not arrived. She stated she would call the driver and hung up on me again. At 7:52pm the driver called me stating he was outside. As I knew it would be, their food was cold and fries were soggy- I ended up throwing everything back in the air fryer to reheat. NEVER EVER AGAIN! The most annoying part about all of this was the fact that I only lived down the street on South Broadway.

Will never order from this restaurant again until the owner fires the old rude woman answering the phones — and the drivers come to my door. I’m done. The old lady didn’t include my large wonton soup, then hassled me to pay for it again, then cursed me out on the phone. When she said “f**k you,” I hung up in her face. Took 40+ minutes for that to arrive. I have a broken leg and can’t deal with the stress. Update: December 25, 2021 I figured let me give this restaurant one more chance. This is frankly the best Chinese food in the area, even though a little overpriced for small things, though I understand — it’s business. Spoke with one of the owners today on Christmas. After chatting with Yumi and explaining my concerns, issues and factors in leaving my review: we had a productive conversation. Notes like: Drivers better assessing which building they walk food up to; the primary woman running the restaurant could work on her manners; and that if an Uber order or not — that the restaurant still represent their business to the customer the same. It shouldn’t always be about the money. Can’t give 5 stars just yet as I can tell there are some strong beliefs in how they feel that business should be conducted. Some beliefs I don’t agree with, and likely most of the grievances I have won’t change — but her giving me 40 minutes of her time was very nice nonetheless. I hope drivers start delivering-to-door for homes that aren’t high risk for violence or anything like that. If Uber drivers can do it — they can do it. I also hope they remind the customer of free items over a dollar value promoted on the menu. Many times I lost that extra because I didn’t know. Update: November 30, 2021 The woman working is VERY rude, still. She gave my Uber eats order to a driver that then left the restaurant with my food, and cancelled the order. He essentially stole the food. I have been waiting over an hour and upon asking her to honor the price I paid with Uber after HER poor management of the delivery — she tried to charge me $6 more than Uber (almost $30). I’m never going to order from here again because frankly, they are unprofessional and rude, and lack customer care. Update: July 2, 2020. Now waiting an hour and a half for delivery when the restaurant is one mile away. This was 5 stars. I downgraded it to a 2 stars because the lady on the phone is rude and the place is too expensive. They don’t have all items on the menu. The woman taking orders charges for every little thing and their delivery guy doesn’t want to come up to our door. I have poor reception where I live, they don’t ring the door bell, and use COVID as an excuse not to come up. Then talk over me on the phone when expressing the issue. New York opened a week ago. They should deliver to door LIKE ALL other restaurants. Uber Eats does it and you wear a mask. They cook their food consistently every time, extremely nice phone etiquette and delivery is usually always under 30 minutes (I’m about 1.5 miles away). Flavor and seasoning is always consistent, never got sick. I’ve lived all over NYC and the NYC suburbs. A lot of Chinese restaurants (American Style) have changed their cooking methodology due to various health complaints which are systemically known in New York. Thus, many of these mom and pop restaurants generally overcook to avoid bacterial contamination. This place seems to have figured out that balancing effect of cooking to texture/flavor and cleanliness. They’re five stars for phone etiquette, flavor and delivery speed. I would say their prices are essentially consistent with other versions of this same style restaurant, but about 10% higher or more AND as of recent (06/28/20) they are not walking up to the apartment — which sort of defeats the purpose of delivery — but understood, nonetheless as COVID is rampant and business’ owner’s drivers are overwhelmed by orders. I’m satisfied. A lot of really bad restaurants that server American style Chinese and they don’t compare to New World.

Absolutely do NOT recommend. *Especially do not order online* I usually order from Family Kitchen(the best ⭐️) but they are closed on Tuesday so I decided to give this place a shot. I ordered sesame shrimp with fried rice (I’m a pescatarian) for myself, my friend ordered orange chicken with fried rice and we ordered cream cheese wontons to share. We received sesame chicken with fried rice, orange chicken with white rice, and wontons with meat. When I called to let them know the order was incorrect they were only concerned with the apparent mistake I had made in which wontons I ordered … ? I eventually called back and stated I would like a refund, because I could not eat any of it, and my friend let me know that the orange chicken was not good at all nor were the meat wontons, so we ended up throwing it all out. I was informed that because I ordered online, they were unable to refund because the credit card company they use said no. I am going to call my card company and see what I can do. I will say they did try to give me a store credit of $20 (my order was $35 after tip) and I declined because I do not intend on ordering from here again.

This is really sad every time I order something there is a problem I ordered boneless spare ribs with French fries. I asked if I could get the fries really crispy. When I got the food the fries weren’t even cooked all the way and when I called they said it’s because theY had a lot of delivery’s and the food took long witch is a complete lie because I order the food at 310 and the food arrived at 324. So the order was rushed. This is not the first time.

Ordered for 1 person, I'm 5 minutes down the road, waited 1 hour, called them and they said he's around the corner, waited 15 minutes more and canceled the order, as i had to drive and lose my parking spot at night, to another place to order and wait, I finally get a call from delivery guy but told him I canceled it....1 hour and 30 minutes to get steam chicken, plain rice and steamed dumplings

Rude and poor customer service. Order at your own risk! I'll explain why. I used to order here all of the time, spending anywhere from 40.00 to 70.00 an order for my family of 5. And I never had an issue except that they never bring my food up to my door even though I tipped Everytime and the food was mediocre. However, about 4 weeks ago I made a small order of chicken wings with french fries and 3 vegetable egg rolls. They took over an hour to deliver, I had to call 2x. The order was missing a vegetable roll. So I called in, and was transfered to a manager, (which I didn't know they had) and I was ASKED if I would like a refund or for it to be delivered, before making a decision, I ASKED, were there more deliveries in my area, the manager politely said yes, so I said ok it can be delivered. I said thank and ended the call. The lady who answers the phones and takes the orders calls me 3 mins later, and TOLD me to check the bag because the driver said there were 3 rolls. I did check. The order wasn't big. I could tell there was one missing. So she said she will deliver it next order. My sister then took the phone and explained the situation again, and basically the lady called us a liar. The order was about 10 to 13 dollars, what are we lying about. So after an argument was had, the call ended, and the egg roll was delivered, which I wasn't expecting because the lady was refusing to refund or have it delivered. So today I called to get a delivery, and she told me no delivery only pickup. I asked what time will delivery resume, she said to me delivery isn't for me because I'm a liar. To gain clarification, I asked her again, are you telling me you're not going to deliver to me because you think I lied about an egg roll? She said yes. And I then hung up on her. This lady is making the restaurant look bad because of poor customer service. If I spoke to the manager and the manager offered me a refund or a delivery, why would this worker challenge that and then hold a grudge over their mistake? Further more how would the delivery driver know what was in my bag? Was his dirty hands handling my food? Never again would I order from them! And I'm telling everyone watching, to not order from them because you as the customer would be wrong on your disputes and then they'll try to "punish you" by not delivering. When in reality, the punishment is on them because they lost a customer who was spending a lot of money in there restaurant.

Last night I ordered $50 worth of food from New World Chinese in Yonkers, NY, and they took about 1 hour and 45 minutes to deliver. I took the order at my door, gave him a $5 tip and went inside. I opened the food and everything was barely warm. I realized they forgot my 3 egg rolls, and I called, and took 3 calls to the Manager to finally answer my concern. She did not even show remorse for them forgetting but lied and said I had 3 sodas brought instead of the egg rolls. Vi paid for 3 egg rolls, cand they did Not rectify it. This place has bad ethics and Customer Service. I'm not going Back. Sincerely Michael G.

I have never tasted Chinese food as nasty as this in my 66 years of life. I can't believe that this place still has customers. Their steamed chicken dumpling were like plastic, even when I tried to soften them up by boiling them, they never got soft.The dipping sauce that came with them was disgusting, it tasted like all vinegar, I truly hate this nasty place. The chicken fried rice had no flavor, the chicken wings were dry, and tasteless. The wonton soup had no flavor. I don't know how this place stays in business, there is no reason for it, I have NEVER tasted Chinese food this bad before. The woman sounded weird on he phone, just as weird as their nasty food. If I had had this food the first time I tried Chinese food I would have NEVER eaten it again after trying this nasty place. They need to be put out of business. Second time buying food in this store. The focus of my review is the lady who received the orders. How disrespectful and lack of empathy with customers she has. She is the kind of people that consider that customer are not important if someone don’t buy her someone else will do it. So, that give confidence to treat customer disrespectful. That is the reason I won’t choose the store. This Chinese restaurant MUST understand that a lady on the front is the face of the RESTAURANT and how she treats us as customers represent if will be back or not. Unfortunately, even when the food taste good and the restaurant looks clean, because HOW BAD SHE TREATED I won’t be able to go back.
