on June 15, 2024, we had Rosa's cater the food for my dad's 90th birthday party. We had beef & chicken fajitas with all the fixings, rice and beans. The staff delivered and set everything up. They provided plates and utensils and napkins. The food was hot and yummy! We ordered for a conservative amount of people, and we didn't run out of food. That was the first time I'd had beef fajitas from Rosa's, and I loved them!! Thank you Rosa's for helping in the success of my daddy's 90th birthday! I recommend Rosa's for any catering event, the price we paid was very reasonable.
Great place to eat. Fast service from front door to exit. Very organized, quick, and the food is delicious. They have a fresh self-serve bar with pico, hot sauce and such and always stocked. Always a delight to eat at this location.
Love this place! When I'm lazy and don't feel like making tortillas, ordering by the dozen makes my dinner so much easier. Food tastes good and I really enjoy the chili verde (if not sold out for the day). Great environment to sit down and eat.
Roses has good food, atmosphere is fairly noisy but not horrible.
It's always good food whenever I go, this time I took my family and had a great experience
Rosa Cafe gives plenty of food for every dish. There are a variety of both dishes and drinks, and the decorations are amazing. Rosa Cafe, most importantly to me, closes late compared to any other restaurant, and I can always count on Rosa’s Cafe to provide an excellent meal after a faraway trip.
Very nice and clean restaurant. Staff was great.
Not going to lie once I walked in and seen how you order I was turned off and doubting my choice in spending my whole daily per diem but once I got my food I was amazed. Waddled back to the hotel and had to lay down! Food was amazing beware the tomatillo salsa has some kick once you stop eating it. I will definitely be going back next trip to Abilene!
More of a fast food type place but I enjoyed my tamales
Great customer service! Great food & value! Love coming here!
This place is amazing. The drive thru is unbelievably fast! I never had to wait !
Stopped to grab a quick lunch. It has a drive-thru but I did go inside. It seems like it is fast food but they also have a dining area. Nice decor. Food was delicious. My only complaint is that I thought my mail came with shredded lettuce and tomato and it did not have it. Will return!
Wonderful food atmosphere very very nice. We would go back there again! My husband had the pork tamales with chili on top with nice size side of rice and beans, and I had the chicken enchiladas with a sour cream sauce with side of rice and beans, and four tortillas. The tortillas are enough to go back for, they were that good. I highly recommend this place. good food, good price, and good atmosphere, the three things that you need to have an excellent eatery.
Loved everything bout it service with a smile especially Mandy Rodriguez she was at her best thank y’all for great food today😄😊😊
Breakfast tacos are wonderful. Went through drive thru and girl taking order struggled with getting 5 tacos, 1 milk, 1 coffee, and 1 tea correct. I made sure I included a request for salsa. Before pulling away from windows, we checked and no salsa. She then informed me she did. Showed her the bag and she just shrugged and handed me the salsa. Got to train these young kids on customer service!
Love this location. Always great food and staff is very friendly. A very special shout out to Roianna Carrion. She is the best. She greets me personally each time I go thru the drive thru. I’ve been going there for years. Sweet tea always to start my day. She always has a smile on her face and makes my day. Please look for her in the morning when you drive thru for your breakfast or just your drink. Love this girl!!
It's the place. This place will not disappoint. I've been eating here for 15+ years and it has never disappointed me. I dont like how they raised the prices, but I do understand why they did. I really hope to see the prices level out in the near future so my family and I can eat there more often.
Everyone is so nice n friendly, except the lady that cleans tables, expression on her face look like she got mad because granddaughter had spill her drink on table and floor,we did apologize tho
Had the steak fajitas and the meat was really tender and well-seasoned. The beans were lovely. The tortillas were amazing! I would purchase the tortillas here next time. You can see them being hard-pressed in the kitchen. There was a good selection of salsa too. Interior is super colourful and beautiful.
I ordered some meals to go and they were done very quick and accurate. Delicioso!
I know it's take out but, it's the best taco you're going to get in Abilene through a drive through window!!....
We enjoyed the tamales for the first time this week and they are good. Not perfect like grandmas, but we will be buying more that's for sure. The staff are kind and helpful. I will say the booth I was in was moved because of the people in the next booth needed more room and simply took ours. That was no fault of the restaurants. The seats where comfy and cushioned at the booths unlike some other places. The overall experience was great for a quick and satisfying meal with family.
Great tortillas for under 8 dollars. 24 I believe. The have a great salsa and fixins bar. Fresh cilantro, lemons, limes, all sorts of salsas and whole fresh jalapeños you can get at no additional charge.
I visited this location for a late lunch today. All employees were exceptionally nice. From the front counter cashier, to the ladies putting your food plates together, to the bus lady & the managers! I have to say.....Someone is making changes here & it shows!!!
The food, the service, the attention to detail, was on point. It was our first time there and everyone and everything was beyond expectations. Even if you’re just driving through Abilene, it’s the perfect place to stop and have a bite. Will definitely come back. You should not leave without trying their desserts (especially sopapilla).
It's quick easy and good. They used to be better however it's still good and quick for those nights you need a quick dinner but want a nice meal. It can be pricey however I share the fajitas with my husband. But thats one place and it's 20$ however I understand it's fajitas.
This location is always busy. However, they are very quick. The drive thru moves faster than you think. I actually when here on Taco Tuesday (oops) and saw a monstrous line. So, I went inside to place a to go order. I say from arriving in the parking lot and leaving was max 10 minutes. They were super quick and the order was correct. The staff was super friendly. On their busiest evening, they still did awesome. I definitely recommend.
Normally we're very satisfied with Rosa's, food quality and service is very good. Today was an off day, out of certain items, lots of empty, dirty tables... just not the norm for this chain. We've had 99 great meals, so one off isn't terrible - hopefully just a one off.
We've come here a few times over the years during the holidays to get food for family events. Their fajitas and tacos are pretty good. This year, they were short-handed and weren't taking phone orders, so we had to come in and place the order. It took a long time to get our food. There were at least a few people floating around and not doing much, and only one girl actually filling the orders. I can't complain about the girl filling orders, she was like a machine running up and down the food station filling containers. They need to give this young lady a raise! When we finally got the food, everything was good.
Everything was great but workers we interacted with seemed really put out. Grace is given because I know it's work and you're maybe not having your best day, so hopefully this was a one off.
We were staying overnight in Abilene on our way to Tucson. Rosa's was very close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Ir was strange at first - it looks like a table service restaurant but you order at a counter like a fast food place. And ... they serve Margaritas. My son found some good vegetarian options and I had a fajita salad. The food was really good! The beef was tender and flavorful. The guacamole was bland but other than that everything was surprisingly good. I wish we had a Rosa's in Birmingham.
My take out order wasn't correct. Inside was great. No one would listen to me about take out order.
It’s decent for food but beware if you go alone and have to use the restroom. They’re really quick about clearing tables (which isn’t a bad thing) but eating alone and going to use the restrooms and not leaving a personal item (and being alone of course you probably don’t want to leave anything in case of thieves) at the table they’ll clear it. I’m just very grateful they gave me a replacement chocolate cake for the one they cleared away as I hadn’t even opened it.
Great place, had fun with company management. Enjoyed it. Food was 50/50. Portions were good but flavor was dub par. We just used items at the table
Always a hit for me and my family! Don't even say Rosa in my 🏠 unless the plan is to go eat at Rosa's. The food is good. Consistent. Fast. And much better than any of the alternatives. Not my choice for authentic but definitely for FAST
The drive thru service lacks a little to be desired. They forgot to add my daughter’s queso. So we had to make a return trip after we got home. Once that was resolved, the food was good, as it always seems to be. We love the tortillas. Excellent place to eat and by far the best fast Mexican/Tex-Mex place to eat fast!
Went for breakfast and for the first time I ordered the bacon and egg breakfast plate. You can add cheese to this plate I did not. Everything tasted great but the potatoes could be seasoned better and add salt. The only thing I wish I could have ordered with this plate would be rice. I even asked to substitute the potatoes for rice but the employee said they don't do rice for breakfast so I'm guessing that wouldn't be an option to put inside a taco either. This plate would be ten times better if rice was an option instead of potatoes that aren't seasoned.
Cute little restaurant, loved the decor and the food was reasonably priced. Rosa's is a fast food restaurant ordering style mixed with a sit down dining venue and they easily accommodated our party of 12. Would have been 5 stars but the food was a little meh.. to be fair though we live in Southern AZ and have access to authentic Mexican food so maybe it's not a fair comparison. Cheese enchiladas were pretty good and so were the beef fajitas!
I wasn’t given what I ordered and because it was rang up wrong on my receipt, they wouldn’t swap it. I had to pay for more food in order to get what we wanted. Then I was given attitude by the people prepping the food.
First time at the restaurant. It is very much a fast food Mexican restaurant. The homemade tortillas and salsa were amazing. As for the fajitas, they were ok. Not the best and I didn't expect the best. But the beans were unfortunately canned. The service was quick and helped explain things on the minute. The atmosphere was excellent. It felt like a nice sit down restaurant, very authentic feel of a place similar to San Antonio and old Mexico.
My 2 chicken burritos plate (pictured on the tv screen menu) were just pulled? unseasoned chicken, kinda pinkish still, bland, no cheese, no Bueno.
They were consistent and good on my 5-star review from 2+ years ago. Over time the service and quality has declined at this location. I ordered kid's nachos a few days ago and the attached photo is as they were delivered. I believe there were 6 chips total. To add insult to this, I'd actually asked for no beans and extra chips. This has become normal for this location. I'd suggest the north side location if you're going to Rosa's.
Staff wasn't very friendly. We felt rushed to order. We can see the manager with his angry face behind his cashier when we were trying to ask questions about certain items on the menu. They forgot to make our sopapillas. There was no apologies or any attempt to make it right. We were just told to wait till they make the other order.
Arrived at 6:58pm and was told they were sold out of fajitas, would be 30 min wait. No personal service at all. You order at a counter and then go get your food when your number is called. Ordered cheese enchiladas and they were cold (cheese inside was not melted at all and barely any there) The tortillas were hot, fresh and good but not enough to save the meal. Never been to Abilene before but won’t be back here. 🙁
Every time I order a burrito from this location half of the burrito filling is outside of the tortilla and on the outside of the foil so when I open it, it goes everywhere. Other than that the food is always great!
Food is always delicious. Person taking my order (Lucy) was rude when I told her I wanted "Combo nachos" as menu stated, and when I saw it come up as "fajita nachos" she told me I ordered wrong! Wouldn't let me talk and got her manager who was just as rude. I will visit other location from here on out.
This felt like a Taco Bell and I’m not to fond of Taco Bell it’s a no for me service was great restaurant dinning vibe was ok I did love there jalapeño
Food is always on point except for whenever you get a fajita plate and it give you enough guacamole for half a tortilla they got to do better than that because their prices is too hot for fajitas to not be able to have enough guacamole to go over all three of my tortillas
Definitely fast food, not a restaurant. The margaritas are non-alcoholic ice slush. The burritos have sickly ground beef. The beans and rice are good. I went to the restroom. When I returned to the table, my table was cleared, so I didn't eat or drink much.
You would think since the Chorizo is so popular they would make more but half the time I go for breakfast they’re out long before breakfast is over. Pulled up at 10 and they didn’t have ANY breakfast that contained chorizo because breakfast was almost over in 30 minutes.. 30 minutes is a long time to turn customers away because you don’t want to make more chorizo. Also they always got an attitude about telling you too. Sorry I pulled up to get breakfast that’s my bad
The drive thru employees tonight left much to be desired. We pulled away and realized we were missing a meal. We also asked for cilantro and green salsa. We got neither. They also told us it was a 40 min wait for an extra dozen tortillas. We went in to get the missing meal and ordered a dozen tortillas. There was no wait. Manager was rude. Drive thru employee was rude. We got home and found our order was wrong. We ordered 2 taco meals each with 1 crispy beef and 2 soft chicken tacos. What we got were 2 meals each with 1 crispy beef and 2 soft beef tacos. I wish I could say this is uncommon, but at a minimum the drive thru employees at this location leave a lot to be desired. They are always at a minimum, unpleasant.
This place has been going downhill for the last few months. The food this time was not good. The rice had a rancid flavor like it had been sitting someplace for years past its expiration date. The beans were not much better. The iced tea tasted like it had ether been sitting since yesterday, or they are not cleaning out the tea cans. I really can't believe this their tea used to be some of the best in town. This, on top of the rudeness of the staff, we will not be back to this location.
Drive thru individual had zero customer service skills.
How do you sell breakfast with zero BACON EVER and I keep going back thinking maybe today they will have it. I ordered spicy potato with bacon. Got home and no bacon that I paid for AGAIN!!!!!!! Whyyyyyy do I waist my money over and over trying to give them another chance… Rosas on Catclaw needs HELP
Good food. But Nats flying around every booth great service overall just the Nats.
So... I get it, you pretty quick for the lunch hour... BUT sometimes. You don't have to be... I get to window , was charged someone else's food. Order was wrong. Super nice lady refunded charged me correctly. People in back yelling at her. Then, throw my food at her. Yes they threw it. See photo for what I kept to open. Not good business. Please keep it together if your going to be "fast".
I have given this establishment 3 different times to change my mind. The quality of food you get for the price sucks. I always feel rushed when me and my family go there. Some of the staff just look miserable to be there and are rude. I paid over 18 dollars for fajitas and it literally looked like a kids meal. My family and I will not be back and I will not recommend to anyone.
This place was TERRIBLE!!! Me and my family will NOT be returning! They messed up 2 of 3 orders, didn't give us enough straws and utensils, and the lady we interacted with was incredibly rude and pushy. The food was not near good enough for us to get past these flaws. Our first trip here will be our last!
Terrible experience. Attitude works and bad service. They open at 6:30am - I arrive at 7:00. Attempt to order 3 bacon/egg tacos. I am met with “we don’t have that much bacon” and I’m like ok, what time do you think you’ll have bacon? And the rudest attitude ever “I don’t know”. I’m sorry but this restaurant serves breakfast and if you are that confused on how long it tacos to make 3 slices of bacon you should find a new place to work. Really bad service.
There is a manager that works morning shift. Who makes the process of getting Breakfast burritos unbearable. Most people in the United States ask about Military Discounts when they get to the window. That is where you settle the money. I don’t know what kind of broke down system they have at Rosa Cafe but she wants you to announce at the speaker. If you don’t do it this way, she gives the veteran ( this nations true national treasure) the level 100 attitude. With loads of hmmmphing like she got asthma (sighing in disgust) and demands next time you say it at the speaker. Most people are just trying your restaurant for the first time, no need to verbally reprimand people. We are just trying to enjoy your overpriced taco without the side of attitude. Maybe instead of all that energy with a negative attitude use that energy on getting your restaurant above 77 health rating. Fix your attitude immediately and support the troops the same way we are supporting your restaurant and your pay check.
The food was okay, but almost every table had old food on it. People had to walk the restaurant a few times just to sit down. The tables that were “clean” weren’t actually clean. They had food residue on them. The high chairs were also very dirty. We will choose a different location next time. Just felt gross in there.
I got online and gave my "feedback", although this wasn't a good experience, their District Manager reached out to me via phone call. He apologized for the bad experience, assured me that they are going to coach the employees in question on how to correct their actions, and is mailing me a gift card for a future visit. So even though the initial experience wasn't the best, I tip my hat 🤠 to the District Manager for his quick response and willingness to address the issues. He said that he reviewed the cameras, described what I was wearing during the visit to assure her was looking at the correct footage, and based on what he saw he was able to determine which employees were in question in my feedback. It took him less than 12 hours to respond to said feedback, so thanks to him I will be giving them a second chance. Updates to follow.
Let me preface this by saying my husband and I would frequent this Rosa’s location, Abilene, Texas on Catclaw, 3-4 times a month for breakfast, sometimes more. Today, 12/28/2024, after we ate our meal I went to the ladies restroom. After I used the facility, I flushed the toilet. Toilet water and the “things” I flushed sprayed all over my back, hair, arms, and face. I told a female employee(possibly a shift manager) what had happened. She then informed me that it happens all the time to them. My husband asked to speak to the person in charge or head manager. Mr. R. Garcia then informed my husband “that is out of my control”. How can you be the person in charge of the building and not be in control of your toilets spraying DISGUSTING & CONTAMINATED water all over the guests?? We DID NOT receive an apology, just an attempt to pass the blame on someone else. This location has lost our business!!
Gave me a messed up enchilada kn my deluxe dinner order, looks half eaten
Sunday I purchase two plates which contained guacamole, of course it was again left off the plate. I was in Rosas today and requested the item to be added to the two plate purchase of today. I try not to write any complaints online but since Richard and Rogers basiscally accused of being a lair; I will gladly write a review. In Oct, we visited Rosas 14 times, In Novemeber 16, So far December 2 times. We spend a lot of money dining and mostly its Rosas. Multiple and Multiple times there is something missing.... i know it does happen. But today these two Geniuses Who are both in management pushed me to post on line... Poor customer service skills...... i know Rosas will not retrain these two. For a simple gesture, which should have been done since it was their fault… not serving all food i did pay for..... they lost revenue apx 300.00 to 400.00 dollas a month.... 12-3-2024
Food was okay. But when I finished eating I noticed a fly flying around my food. After looking around I found about 6 flying around my food. I look at other people eating in the restaurant, and saw they also had Flys around their food. Pretty sad. After noticing, I didn't even want to finish my margarita.
Everything sucks here. When it first opened it was pretty good. I will never ever eat here again.
Along with the down turn in customer service, the once best tortillas in Texas have become undercooked and no longer fluffy perfection they once were. It’s really sad. Just doughy batter to thick. Just don’t seem cooked very long.
A place that calls themselves a "tortilla factory" told us they were out when we tried to order at the drive through. We waited in line just to be told they were out, then got stuck in the drive through that was moving at a snails pace.
I recently moved to Abilene 3 1/2 weeks ago. I have eaten here 3x due to a referral to come here. The first time service and food was amazing, chefs kiss. Second time, they forgot my Queso ( no biggie).. I called and explained this to the manager (Richard) and was told to mention his name upon my return in order to receive the item. Came the third time and my order was JACKED UP! I got the queso I was missing from my second order after having to ask for it 3x, but now I’m missing the tamale (1 so that I could try it for the first time) I ordered and half my condiments for my family meal (which I always order for my family of 5). If my family meal says it comes with guac, sour cream, pico, salsa AND Queso per the website that’s what I’m expecting every single time! Im just so fed up and over it! They’ve gotten more money out of me than I have gotten food that I paid for! I’m taking it as an L at this point and will not be returning… I don’t have the energy to keep running back for missing items or dealing with staff members rolling eyes and twisting their necks for being called out on their mistakes. Do better…….
