FERNANDO WAS AMAZING!!! He was the perfect waiter. Made excellent recommendations for my girlfriend and I, was humorous, and continued to rapidly serve our table. We are very glad to have had him!
The restaurant is part of the Secrets Akumal Resort. They serve incredibly delicious Japanese food. A real highlight is the teppanyaki grill – a fantastic show! However, you need to reserve a table for it.
Wonderfully lovely restaurant at a fantastic resort
Special thanks to Leonel, what a great show, service, and quality. The rib eye was juicy, the chicken was perfect, and the shrimp were the most delicious we've ever had. Highly recommended, a place that thrilled us and we want to return!
We were blown away. All of the restaurants on resort have been great, but this one is the time in experience to a totally different level. Our server Alfanso was a delight, very attentive and detail oriented. When we told him we were vegan, she brought chef David over to the table to talk to us about our options. Chef David created the most delicious and beautiful meal we’ve had in a very long time. He checked in numerous time and both he and Alfaso were just a true pleasure. The best culinary experience, hats off to the chef!
Fantastic food, great experience to have a chef cooking In front of you
We used Himitsu twice during our stay at the Secrets resort. The Tepenyaki was our favourite visit, with the chef cooking in front of a group of you, with all the Fire and food tricks thrown in. The food cooked was fresh and tasty (vegetarian options are good) with good good portions! Staff are great and the setting is very nice. We went back for the sit down service , which we enjoyed but found not quite as good as the Tepenyaki option. Tip: book the Tepenyaki as soon as you arrive with your concierge. The walk in service doesn't need advance booking.
Inside the secrets resort Was one of our favorites
Make a reservation in advance for the hibachi table otherwise you can enjoy a fun ambience at a regular table. This restaurant is delicious with Asian Fusion. While most dishes are elevated, there is something for everyone. We had the shrimp Goyza, chicken satay, sushi rolls, short ribs and tempenyaki. We finished off with a delicious fried ice cream.
Good show and good food. The desert was fantastic.
The sushi is excellent, as are the teppanyaki, miso soup, and sake. Some dishes are a bit sweet, so don't order too much of that 😉
Great variety of Asian dishes excellent service. I think it's better the regular service than the teriyaki show

Restaurant reserved for hotel guests! We drove around the road 4 times for nothing... Too bad it looked good
If ot really true that the restaurant is only for hotel guests, you need to let the public know. This is ridiculous service!!!
