Very cute and cozy place to be, very COVID safe and family friendly. Went with my sisters to grab a quick bite around 6:45PM with no wait and was done in a half hour. Would highly recommend the Black, the roasted garlic pieces were a good addition! My sisters has the cha shu and love the tenderness and noodles! 🍜 We also ordered the salmon sockeye Oshi which was AMAZING! would go to this place again especially on rainy nights
Being a vegetarian, I always tend to shy away from Ramen places, given they they have a lot of meat content and have a broth that is not exclusively vegetarian. But this place proved me wrong. The food was extremely good and the Vegetarian Ramen options were spicy and very delicious. If I weren't living in the Seattle area, I would be going here more often.
For the price, what you get and taste - it's absolutely fantastic. I got the Black ramen with Karaage and it was amazing: the Karaage is crispy and flavorful; noodles are just the right consistency and soup is very flavorful and have even crispy garlic included; chasu is extremely soft and melts in your mouth. My friend got the Kara miso and he said it was amazing as well. You definitely have to try this place out! Update: Came here and tried the Red ramen and it's the best spicy ramen I've ever had in Vancouver!
Got spicy classic with karaage, and it became my favorite ramen in Vancouver. The ramen soup is very thick, and they put the bottom of karaage into the soup. I never tried this because I thought dipping karaage into soup was strange, but they showed a perfect combination. Small and hidden store, but worth going.
We have seen this place many times but didnt go in until today. We had the chasu wrap, chasu ramen and chicken karaage ramen with corn added. The noodles were the perfect consistency, nice chewy yet soft noodles in a delicious tonkatsu broth. The chicken stayed crispy even soaked in the soup. The egg yolk was soft and jamm-y. The chasu wrap was shredded warm grilled chasu with a slightly spicy creamy sauce, topped with deep fried garlic, onions and fresh spring onions with some tobiko on top. All of this layered on a crispy piece of seaweed. A must have from now on! Definitely will be back. And local too!
Ramen and Karrage are both awesome. I love their thick pork broth and chewy noodles, very flavorful. The karrage are very juicy, I believe they are chicken thighs. Last thing to mention, their karrage sauce taste like Mayo mix something else which is a bit unique. As for CoVID measure, ID was checked. Food option is not very flexible, no single order tonkatsu available nor meal set after certain hour. Staff are friendly; however mostly in kitchen so I won’t say very attentive. Nonetheless, they are still very responsive if they see a customer looking at their way and provide services.
A very hidden gem. It's on the first floor of parking within t and t parking lot. Most of shops and restaurants are on the second floor so this shop is easily missed if you are not from this area. Lunch time wasn't busy at all. Soup base is pork bone based and I ordered black garlic. Soup is 5/5. Lots flavor without garlic oil. Once it's mixed, it's even tastier. You can tell it is well prepared just because the meat was done two different ways. It added more scores since all ramen shops can only do one type of Chau Siu in a bowl. Highly recommended and it rivals ramen stores in downtown area. I forgot it's credit card friendly or not since it's been a while. But I will definitely go back for sure. A solid 5 out of 5.
I visit many reman restaurants in Vancouver and I would say it’s the best ramen! I came to this place many time for T&T and drop by this restaurant, so I have tried almost ramen menus. I can’t believe that any ramen here are so good. But my most favorite dishes are classic ramen and spicy soft tofu and chicken Kareke. Price is so affordable. Classic is $11.50 Server is so friendly and welcome. It’s available on DoorDash and skip too.
Not the easiest place to find but definitely worth paying a visit. This restaurant is a hidden gem located underneath Korean bbq restaurant - Kook The restaurant isn’t particularly fancy but the chalk board menu and drawing are amazing touches We ordered black (garlic) ramen, karamiso (spicy miso) and salmon oshi sushi Both ramen are packed with flavors. Loved the broth and the texture of the noodles. Would love to go back
I ordered the Tofu Don dish, and it was great! It cost me about $15. The base of the dish was white rice, covered with fried tofu pieces and a generous amount of fried vegetables. There was a sauce all over, which was nice. [Update July 8, 2024] I wanted to try something new, so I ordered the Cha-Shu Don. It's a rice bowl with Chashu pork, Chashu sauce, and mayonnaise. For me, it was a whole new experience, especially the combination of rice and mayo. The price was reasonable, and the portion was good enough. There was also half of a boiled egg as a side dish, which was a nice addition— a bit salty and delicious.
Great experience. We had the Black Ramen, Chicken Karage, Oyako Don and the Gyoza. Black Ramen: Broth is very flavourful. Full of umami. Noodles are great. Crispy garlic added a unique flavour Chicken Karage was decent. Not bad but not something we would recommend to actively come here for. Oyako Don: The sauce had plenty of flavour, definitely on the sweeter side of things. Would recommend, if you’re not having the ramen Gyoza: Loved this! Really underrated. It was…SO soft with a pack of flavour. It was just a bit crispy, so if you’re not a fan of that then maybe skip this
The katsu don was delicious. Beneath the katsu are thin slices of onion sautéed in a sweet sauce. It hits the spot. I wouldn’t say the ramen is a 10/10 or the sushi is a 10/10, but the dishes are all quite good considering they serve all those at one restaurant. I take my family here because the variety of dishes and the quality means my kids and us adults get what we want.
Tried the Tonkatsu and Spicy Classic Ramen. Both were really good! The broth had great flavor and the portions were just right. Service was smooth and friendly. Would totally come back!
Negi-Goma chashu Ramen Broth - 7/10 Noodles 10/10 Egg - 8/10 Chashu - 9/10 Black ramen broth was 8/10 Rainbow roll was okay, crispy California was excellent. Service was very friendly and attentive.
I’ve walked past this place plenty of times, located near T&T at the 1st and Renfrew complex, and I’m so glad I decided to finally try it. We ordered the Black Ramen with spice and it was freaking amazing. Rivals that of the ramen downtown! I’m genuinely so impressed. The broth is so rich with flavour and I’m a huge fan of the crispy garlic pieces on top! The Hamani Roll was also fantastic. It seemed a tad pricy at first but when it came, it was smothered with scallops and totally worth it. Would definitely order both again.
Tried the Kara miso ramen (spicy) with karagge, black miso with Cha Sui, and takoyaki. All were delicious! Both broths were rich and flavourful. The noodles were perfect. The staff were warm and friendly. Restaurant is clean. Will definitely be back!
Really good! We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi rolls, the negi ramen and my favorite was the tonkatsu. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.
Pretty good! Loveeed their black ramen! I felt like the flavours were balance perfectly. The oshi and takoyaki was standard, I probably would pass on that next time. Their lunch combos look worth it (which I’m coming back for next time). Cute little space, not too many seating, but definitely spaced out to accommodate for current social distance requirements. Definitely a must try!

I ordered a classic ramen by skip the dishes but they forgot to pack the broth. I called the restaurant and they were so nice. They brought the broth to my home and give me for free a delicious yogurt drink and an order of pork gyoza. The best part is that everything was delicious and the portions just perfect. Thank you Fuku Ramen & Udon!
Came in on Thursday evening when the place was pretty busy, and our server was handling everything on her own. Even though she was super busy, she took great care of us and explained everything clearly. The ramen was delicious and the portions were solid. I’ll definitely be coming back!
We were served very nicely and respectfully. To be honest most restaurant normally get irritated if we mention allergy and asked which food they prefer or suggest to us but in this restaurant theyre very helpful. Also we thought fish meat cake or something doesnt have egg but the server rushed to us and told us it might have egg on it so we really do appreciate and thankful to their concern to us. Food is good, I ordered the deep fried porkie on rice teriyaki and I like it.

This is an unassuming hole in the wall place right by the covered carpark of T&T. I've been here twice. The first with a group of four. There are two tables for larger groups which can seat four comfortably. The menu has a few spicy broth options for the spice lovers. I opted for the non-spicy vegetarian option the first time and the non-spicy Miso the second. I liked that the springy noodles and the broth. There aren't a lot of ingredients in the basic option unless you include additional toppings/sides.
The restaurant is small about 6 table. The price for the food is great, the soup base is richer than the one in metrotown. An egg come with the noodle is perfect. The noodle is the same as every restaurant have you notice? Except some in downtown area. The staff is friendly. Only complaint is the cooking smell.
Tastes like a healthier option compared to other ramen joints out there. Soup is quite light but still has nice broth-y flavour to it, although the meat are sliced paper thin. Delicious and hearty on its own way; but if you’re looking for a thicker, saltier, and fattier bowl of ramen (like I was), these might not satisfy your cravings. Price is relatively cheap, 2 dishes costed us less than $30.
A good place to go for just the taste of ramen without spending too much. Their basic ramen starts a little over $10. We got a miso ramen and added an extra ajitama egg. The egg (2 halves for $2) was a good soft boil, but lacked the seasoning. The broth tastes as expected, and the noodles were thin and on the denser side. 2 very thin sliced chashu. I probably wouldn't order the chashu bowl again because I don't think the plain flavors are worth the price. It's not like those higher end ramen where you'll get to pay for the experience of the full flavor profile and heavier portions. Overall, It's a good quick bite to satisfy the craving of the taste of it.
I've been to many ramen places all over the lower mainland and Japan. On a boring Saturday I tried to take a leap of faith from my usual fare and try out this place. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen combo with the Chasu rice set. Total price before tip was $14.65. Being a big ramen buff, I was skeptical at first but was pleasantly surprised by the ramen. The broth was rich and fatty, noodles were good and springy and Chasu was fat and tender. Pretty good and not bad at all. If you're expecting the same quality as some of the DT ramens then you will have to look elsewhere. But to satisfy a quick craving for a decent price and a more than decent portion then look no further. Skip the Chasu rice though, there are better.
Been here a couple times with friends and it’s always a good time. I’ve tried the spicy tonkatsu and the kimchi ramen so far and both have been delicious and very flavourful. I have noticed a slight decrease in portion size & amount of broth, but the prices (around $15 base price ramen) remained the same for the most part. Very casual vibe and relatively small seating area but they allow you to take your time and chat with your party if they’re not busy. Around 5 vegetarian/vegan options available for those with dietary restrictions. Friends got the vegan ramen and noted it was a little overly peppery in taste, but the broth is still creamy. Tofu Don was a bit on the smaller side and didn’t come with vegetables. Overall only thing I wish for is larger portions but regardless it’s one of the only ramen places in this area and a genuinely tasty spot too.
I came here as I was in the area working and read good things about the ramen. The decor is pleasant and there are several tables inside. I ordered the black tonkatsu ramen with chashu, egg and seaweed. It tasted quite good, I would say it's on par in terms of taste with other great ramen places in the Vancouver area. What I was a bit disappointed with was I felt it was a small portion. It came up to only half the depth of the bowl. I also got added bean sprouts so for $16 I felt I didn't get really good value. The washroom was decent and clean. The server came by a couple of times to see if I needed anything. If the portion were bigger I would have given it 5 stars.
We stopped here for dinner as it was closeby. The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired. I think it would have helped to have some music in the background. When we entered, the tables were not cleaned and we had to stand awkwardly for the server to clean a table for us. Unfortunately, they forgot to fill our waters until we were served our meals. As for food, this place offers both korean and japanese fare. Almost too many options! The staff here spoke korean so I’m assuming it is a Korean-own Japanese Restaurant serving Ramen, Sushi & various korean dishes. I ordered the Black Ramen with a side of Chicken Karage. I was impressed by the portion size of the chicken! However mayo is extra charge. The ramen was good. I liked that it came with half a tamago without extra charge. The bowls made the portion look small. I’m still debating whether or not the ramen has an average portion or smaller. Not bad but definitely nothing special here. A decent stop for a casual dinner.
The ebi tempura curry udon was delicious. The curry tasted homemade and the ebi tempura was crispy. The udon could be more al dente though as it was very soft but it was still very tasty. They sell a large variety of inari pockets as well. We tried the avocado salmon and the Ikura salmon flavours and both were solid. The sashimi and sushi rolls were standard average. The menu is pretty diverse for Japanese food.
Good flavours in the Ramen. I ordered the spicy miso ramen and it was super tasty. The bean curd egg and salmon were good but heavy with the rice. The sushi pieces were average but nothing to write home about. Because it’s next to our favourite dim sum place, I might’ve overlooked it if not for some well timed Instagram food blogger posts. Definitely a repeat. I’ll be back to try out more.
It's a small mom pop eatery so nothing fancy but we found the server very attentive. The Good: service. Server brought out chop sticks, soup spoons, and napkins right away. Place is too small to have those placed on table so they have to bring it out. Big jug of water provided early on so no parched throats while waiting. Really liked my pork curry w rice dish. The meh: prices are on high side for what you get. See pic. 4x tuna and 4x wild salmon = $27. Overall, my two items and a can of pop = $45 plus tip. So I wouldn't necessarily go again as I think there are cheaper and just as tasty options nearby.
Four star because my Black Ramen didn't have much garlic flavour. The place is clean, friendly service, and food serves quickly. Fuku isn't quite the place if you are looking for signature Ramen like the downtown ones. However, if you want a comfortable place for quick nice meal that isn't over price. Fuku is a good alternative.
This place is a little tricky to find. The restaurant is on the lower level of the complex. If you miss your first turn on 1st Ave and go in on the 2nd entrance it takes you to the upper parkade so you have to get out again and take the entrance to the lower level. The ramen bowls are only $15. I find most places now charge $17 - $21. So definitely good value for a bowl of ramen. I tried the Black ramen, the broth was tasty and the deep fried garlic chips and sauce was good. I would come here again and try their other ramen bowls.
Dec/2023: Loved the katsu don. The fried pork cutlet was amazing, with a deep, satisfying crunch that held firm under the egg yet remained juicy in texture, and a perfectly balanced sauce. 9.5/10. Jan/2024: Katsu don different. Less breading, oily (pan fried?), saturated in sauce making it soggy and cloying. 7/10. Red Ramen has nice flavour. 8.5/10. Chicken karaage fried to perfection with a crunchy breading that is non-oily. 10/10.

Ordered Black ramen which has garlic flavor and kara miso ramen which is spicy miso. You have the option to choose 2 chasu pork or 2 chicken karage. Noodles are chewy, and broth is flavorful. They have small servings compared to other ramen restaurants. Small place and they follow the covid Protocols
As a ramen lover, this ramen shop cannot meet my standard. The ramen is not good, it just like the noodles that we can buy in supermarket, and quantity is not enough for Asian small size woman. The pork is so thin, and not good. The only thing i like is egg. I ate a lot of Ramen in different countries, this is one of the worst Ramen shops I have ever been to.
I really wanted to like this place 😕 BUT... let's start with the Pros 1) chicken and pork fry texture spot on 2) Ramen noodle cook and texture is al dente as I liked 3) Broth is rich and has decent flavours (depending on the ramen) That's about it for pros Cons 1) Korean style soft tofu was not anywhere close to what I'd expect of a sundubu Ramen- minimal gochujang flavors, no egg, and distinct lack of onions. Instead, I got a broth that is overpowered by chili sauce (Lao gan ma) which is disappointing given restaurant staff spoke Korean 2) Portion size for the toppings is nonexistent (see picture for the karaage and fried pork), it did not justify the price of $18.50 and $16 before taxes for the 2 items. I had 7 Naruto fish cakes (very small) in my Ramen as well. It just felt like the toppings were more of an afterthought. Overall, if you work in the area, it may be a good place to pop by once in a while - but definitely not best value for price. There are so many other Ramen shops that provide much more value and authentic flavors.
I ordered some ramen and sushi. The flavour of the soup, the noodles and all the added toppings were delicious. Although I did find that my pork tasted old and was discoloured like old frozen meat. I don’t know if this is a consistent thing because my partners did not taste like mine, it may not be a consistent thing but I did not touch my pork. Also, I think that the water should be served with ice; drinking warm water with soup is not my preference. The waiter was very nice and attentive, even when it got busy. No complaints there. Lastly, maybe some fruit fly traps would be helpful because we had some fruit flies flying over our soups and one ended up landing in it and my partners couldn’t finish their broth. I had no problems with their sushi! In summary; they lost one star for the pork served and another for the water/fly problem.
Pricy for the portions you get. Tastes ok. The tuna tataki roll was not worth it. Literally one slice of tuna tataki cut into 4 small strips and rolled 😭

Ordered from Skip The Dishes: Items Ordered: Tonkotsu Ramen $9.95 Cha-Shu Ramen $11.95 Food Quality: - The Cha Shu was dry and very plain, the egg was overcooked. - It said there were vegetables included in this dish but it was only seaweed and 1-3 bamboo shoots (only one for one of the bowls) - Broth is rich and flavourful for those who likes it salty - Noodles tastes like any ramen places Food Portion: - It is small for the price, wished they added more vegetables or at least some garnishes Food Appearance: - When I first saw it, it did not look appetizing, the appearance looks dull and boring as well plain. The egg was my first impression as it was overcooked and dry (Want that yolk look! and soft look) that made the dish look very unappetizing. Additional comments: In skip the dishes they don't have an option to add corn, not sure if this place adds corn or not, but I usually get it for my ramen for extra texture and flavour. Overall: I wouldn't come back, unless they change the quality of the eggs, pork is tender and at least some colour and garnishes to make the ramen look alive. For the price, you can get better ramen somewhere with the same price
I would give 3 stars or higher for the interior, variety of the menu, and the services. It was a cozy place, but the quality of ramen and the inconvenience, my experience was 2 out of 5 stars. Portion of the noodles were normal, they did their ajitama(egg) very well. However, broth and toppings were kept very minimal unless you order extra toppings (which increases to price range to $20-30 per person). Broth weren’t even filled to the half of the bowl, it’s one of a method to keep the toppings above surface but causes less portion. There was this one tiny steamed broccoli with sliced baby carrots in a ramen? both overly boiled and felt like they added to make up for lack of toppings that they add in the ramen. Unless you have a small appetite, you won’t get full from their basic order, you would have to order extra toppings, but at that point, might as well go to a different place for cheaper and better ramen that makes you full. *Beware of extra topping like black fungus or bamboo shoot because they do not squeeze out the liquid that came with the bag from factory, so entire ramen would smell funky. Charging same price as other ramen restaurants, the quality is very low. Maybe the don dish would be better than ramen even though ramen is in the name of the place. **If you experience issue with your transaction, check your bank account after because there’s a chance that they charged you twice and you would have to come back to the store to get refunded. This one was just unlucky/coincidence.
The worse ramen place I've been to thus far. The first time here left much to be desired so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and decided to drop by again to see if that first mediocre experience was a one off. Big mistake. The second time around, the "Garlic" ramen broth tasted watered down and the portion of bamboo shoots was laughable. It was more of a garnish than an add-on. And the hamachi oshi was a joke. I've never had oshi sushi drowned in a SALTY thick gravy-like consistency brown sauce before. There was so much sauce, you could barely taste the hamachi which made me wonder what the chef was trying to hide 🤔 I informed our server who never apologized nor offered to make us another dish without the hideous sauce on it. Guaranteed I won't be returning that's for sure. I'll stick with my trusty delicious go-to's: Kokoro, Horin, and Danbo.
