The food and service here are fantastic. They’re so friendly, give recs, and the food is rich. Prices are reasonable and I also really liked the gold silverware LOL. Cauliflower 65 and chicken tikka masala was bomb. Def coming here again!
The Lunch specials caught my attention when I was walking by. Fairly cheap by San Francisco standards, and you get sample plates of a few different items instead of just eating one thing. I loved it!.. each item was so different from the other. I ordered some things that I actually can't remember their names, one was chickpeas the other one a mix of different things but each were so unique. Even the little cabbage salad and cracker bread were great. I recommend going with someone else, as you can share the lunch special and maybe get one more smaller item.
Best Indian food I ever ate in entire SFO! Tandoori Chicken was heaven and delicious. The biryanis they served are not of authentic taste but tasted nice like typical North Indian flavored rice. They have both vegetarian and non vegetarian options. I’d recommend this restaurant for all Indian Food Lovers. However, this place was very small and compact, can be easily recognizable from the road. Parking is a hassle here.
I've ordered from this place from Cavier before and it's consistently been delicious. This time, I tried it in person and took my friend with me who's never had Indian food. Amazing!! Service is great and friendly! Space is humbling. Food is absolutely fantastic!! The best Indian restaurant in SF hands down!
Great place to eat! Super friendly staff. Great variety of Indian cuisine and the staff is always great at giving us recommendations based on our preferences. The wait for the food does vary but everything is always fresh, haven’t come across a time where we’ve thought things were reheated. One thing I would advise is eat slow, enjoy the food, and watch out for bones of different sizes since they do break apart when they are making and preparing the food.
Great local spot with uniquely fresh, delicious food—especially the palak chaat! The owner is also so friendly.
We went here on strong recommendations from friends and were not disappointed at all. The food was delicious, so was the evening company, but it's something about feeling at home that really made Keeva special. And of course, the host who was gracious and fabulous in every possible way. Definitely get the palak chat and amritsari fish 😊
The food was great. I loved the malai kofta, especially the intense flavor of safron. This was quite unique for malai kofta. The egg curry was home style, suitable with both breads and rice. Mutton rogan josh was good too, the meat was soft, well cooked and flavorful. One more important thing, the parking was convenient :).
This is is on the small side. So you will sometimes find people waiting outside to get in. Do yourself a favor and join them. The food is well worth the wait. We stopped in for lunch. They do a really reasonable lunch box menu. They will also tailor the species to your tase. That is if you do not like hot or you want the heat they bring you what you crave. The Garlic Naan came hot with just a little bit of burned around the edges. It was absolutely delish.
It is truly impossible to describe this place. For starters, the food was incredible. We had dishes ranging from vegetarian to lamb, and the flavor profile was consistently wonderful. We had both spicy and mild dishes and they did NOT disappoint, which makes this a perfect place for a picky eater, or someone starting to experience Indian cuisine. Besides that; the colorful decor, the high quality glass and metalware, and the level of genuine service is like nothing I have ever received. I highly encourage you to try this place and be amazed by it. Ask for Rita and give her a hug, she will love you for that!
A true gem in Richmond! The food is amazing. The service is also fabulous. Definitely come here if you want authentic Indian food
Hidden gem alert! Not only amazing food but great hospitality. Rita and her team go above and beyond to make sure you and your tummy leave happy. A lot of dietary preferences at our table but everyone left more than satisfied. Exceeded our expectations especially since good service and food are hard to come by nowadays. Please support this family run business.
not only does this lovely restaurant have incredibly delicious Indian food it is beautifully served and the prices are very reasonable. Keeva is my favorite Indian restaurant I've been to in the bay area 10/10 would recommend. medium spice did indeed make me sweat a little and I enjoyed it.
Keeva is an incredible restaurant. From the moment you enter, the team at Keeva is so incredibly warm and friendly. Every single thing we had was delicious, and everything arrived at our table very quickly. The mango lassi was so very refreshing, the entrees and naan were delicious, and the medium spice level was a great extra zing to our palates! There were so many things we would like to try in subsequent visits.
We’ve been coming here every few months for over five years now. You simply cannot find a better Indian restaurant in the city. I would encourage everyone to try the Palak Chaat. The most tasty and unique dish you’ll find anywhere. We brought our extended family and each was treated like family. They loved it. I’ve never met a manager/owner who is warmer and more caring than at Keeva. You can’t help but hug her at the end.
Consistently excellent food. I'm going to try to have something different each time I visit. There are plenty of leftovers for another delicious meal! The service is excellent and the owner is very attentive to all the guests. I'm going to try the Tandoori wings next time! Great neighborhood, established location and looking forward to going again.
The most delicious Indian food I’ve ever had. The palak chaat rocked my world. I can’t stop thinking about it.
An amazing Indian restaurant. Since step into the restaurant The owner so energetic and funny She was so nice and lot of sense of humor My husband and I get a lot of food We order Samosa to start And our Entree is LAMB SAAG BUTTER CHICKEN (the signature dish on the menu). for myself I don’t like yogurt that much but this dish is a perfect curry you must try! PRAWN BIRYANI It’s like Basmati fried rice Indian style thats full of flavour and has lots of herb. It had lots fried garlic on top which made the dish so special Special dish of the night is PALAK CHAAT Chickpea batter fried with baby spinach with mint sauce. My husband loved this dish and so did I! CHILLI CHEESE NAAN Unbelievable!!!! Great service Quick food
This was my first time trying Indian food and I absolutely loved it. Everything was amazing — the food, the energy, and the warm reception from the staff. The flavors were rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. You can really feel the care and passion behind every dish. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, and the service made the experience even better. 10/10 — I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended.
We stumbled upon Keeva while walking along Clement today. We loved every single thing we tried and the owner was so welcoming. Thank you!!! I’m so glad to finally have a favorite Indian restaurant in SF 😭😭😭
Amazing hidden gem in the Richmond! The food here is absolutely outstanding — every dish was fresh, vibrant, and perfectly spiced. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care put into each plate. The flavors were rich but balanced, and nothing felt heavy or overly oily like at some other places. Every bite was satisfying and left us wanting to try even more. We came to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and she brought her toddler along. The owners were incredibly warm and accommodating, even bringing out a book to help keep the little one entertained. The service had a wonderful, family-friendly vibe that made the whole experience even more special. A cozy spot with amazing food — we’ll definitely be back!
Really good Indian food; my go-to. Tastes high-quality. The owner, Rita, is a warm and inviting presence.
Keeva Indian Kitchen in San Francisco truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The menu offered a diverse range of options, and I decided to try a variety. The lamb Vindaloo was a standout, perfectly spiced and tender. The classic goat curry had an authentic depth of flavor that I appreciated. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, while the prawn curry offered a delightful seafood twist. The chicken wings were a pleasant surprise with their unique Indian-inspired seasoning. To complement the main dishes, I indulged in the garlic naans, which were the ideal balance of fluffy and flavorful. The attention to detail in each dish showcased the chef's commitment to quality. The overall dining experience at Keeva Indian Kitchen was memorable, and I left thoroughly satisfied. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Indian cuisine or a newcomer, this restaurant is a must-visit. I highly recommend Keeva for its exceptional food, warm atmosphere, and attentive service.
Best Indian in SF 🙌 Lively atmosphere run by a friendly couple who know what they’re doing. Made from scratch, high quality Indian food with fresh spices. They can also bring the heat (if that’s your vibe) 🌶️
Wonderful food! Best curry I’ve had in a looooooong time. Love the coconut fish curry! And I love the people and atmosphere here, feels like home. They are very welcoming! I would come back again!
Five out of five! Best place for Indian food, i can’t say this is their best dish, all of yheir dishes are excellent! The secret ingredient: Love! & the owner, its like you’ve known her all your life, when she greets you she immediately starts a conversation with you, about anything! Thats what makes you want to come back again! She makes you feel at home & part of her family! By the way it’s family own, her husband cooks all the food in the kitchen & i think her cousins are the waiters, she treats her employees just like she treats her customers with lots of love. I can go & on about this place, but why don’t you just stop by one day if you’re craving really good Indian food & give a try, you won’t be disappointed trust me! I’m glad there’s a really good Indian restaurant that you can depend in the Richmond District & don’t have to go all the way downtown in the Tenderloin District where its all dirty & have to deal with drug addicts & homeless to eat good Indian food. Oh & the prices here are super affordable! Plus they give plenty of food! You’ll be full & satisfied at the end!
Great food, good portions, reasonable prices My partner and I shared the butter chicken, dal makhani, basmati rice, garlic naan, and mango lassi. Everything was excellent, and we had enough leftovers for one more full meal (for one of us) The staff was super nice, and the food came really quickly. Highly recommend!
So good and reach Indian food in really pretty place with authentic touch in the interior and serving! You get all that by very reasonable prices which makes you thinking about becoming a common here(: Adore their nice tableware, pleasant smell all over the restaurant and always smiling and attentive servers. Food is predictable tasty and goes in a big portions. My fav is definitely lamb curry, and it’s hard to try anything else when you know how good it is(:

Love the food. The owners are welcoming and shared the best dishes they had to offer. My fav was the chicken tandoori, palak chaat, Biryani. The Rasmalai was fabulous too

Keeva offers some of the best Indian cuisine I've ever tasted. The spice flavors are bright and complex. I always feel happily full, but never heavy, after savoring their amazing dishes. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere has an informal, friendly vibe and a whimsical, warm decor. Anytime someone asks for a great place to eat in SF, I recommend Keeva!
Great neighborhood Indian restaurant! Each curry had diff flavors and spices. Loved curry goat, butter chicken, dal, and palaak chat (wow!) we tried 3 diff breads- stuffed naan with potato was my fav - though all were good. Parking on clement can be tricky but you can find with walking a few blocks.
Absolutely LOVE keeva! We travel to SF once a year just to eat there! Company is amazing, the owner is fun and makes amazing recommendations! Food and quality exceeds expectations, the dessert that tastes like tres leches cake was TOP. Thanks a lot for an amazing time, we will see you again this year!!
This is such a gem of a restaurant that we are so lucky to have in the neighborhood. Super friendly staff, very kid and family friendly, and food is - importantly - absolutely delicious. We come here so often that everyone knows exactly our order. It's the BEST!
Delicious food! Represents multiple different regions of India. The owner is very friendly and happy to share information about the food and why she chose it. A definite place to put on repeat.
This is the BEST Indian food in SF. Everything came out fresh and hot and super flavorful. We ordered the butter chicken, lamb korma, palak paneer, egg curry, and tandoori chicken wings - all amazing. The garlic naan is also to die for. The owner is super friendly and we felt very welcomed. What a gem of a restaurant, will be coming back soon!
I 💙🩵 Keeva!! The food is great the owner is a doll and makes sure she greets each patron personally. Although it may look small on the inside I have used the restaurant for hosting a family gathering of 10 on various occasions (call ahead to reserve for large gatherings). I have also used them for work catering functions too!! Tis the uncoming season for office, parties, out of town visitors, or those days ya just don't want to cook....EAT UP! #tellherLau-Réné sent you😉
I don’t even really like Indian food generally. This is place is amazing, innovative, affordable, and fresh. The menu is creative and the plating and quality of food is beyond great. A neighborhood must try!

This was in the Eaters list of good indian restaurants in San Francisco city so we wanted to try it. It had plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. We ordered the Aloo Matar. The spice level was good and overall it was good. We’ve tried other Indian restaurants in the city so this is better than perhaps most indian restaurants there.
I have only tried this restaurant via food delivery. The food was carefully packaged. The naan was excellent, something I could see myself eating every day. The entrees, on the other hand, were really mediocre. For example, the Butter Chicken tasted sour--the ingredients tasted fresh, but maybe there were too much tomatoes in there, or sour tomatoes were used. Interestingly, there was spice in every bite, in an unpleasant way. I felt like I was munching on spice the whole meal instead of eating the main ingredients. This was something I have never experienced from other Indian restaurants' food. All in all, this restaurant's food tasted like mediocre home cooking to me. Just once was enough for me.

I ordered delivery through Uber today. Feel like craving some Indian Food! When the food came, I found out that the portion wise is super small with the price of $17.50. Just the size of the cup shown in the photo. I ordered 1 plain nan and 2 garlic nan. They are okay in terms of taste. But really! The portion of the curry is way too overpriced! :( It was my first trying this place and probably not going to order again :(
Update 05/24/2025 I used to eat here all the time and I guess it has changed. I ordered via DoorDash the GOAT biryani, and anyone who has had biryani knows the meat is tender and the rice ain’t dry. Mine was quite the disappointment as the meat was tough and what I did have needed quite the surgery trying to get it off the bone and the load of fat that it came with (see picture of post meal) The rice was colorful but dry and the saving grace was the raitha that came with it. Really disappointed cause I loved this place when I lived in the Richmond ———————————————————————— I have been here multiple times and I have never been disappointed. I love goat and their curry is to die for. The garlic naan is a must for anyone who comes here. You will not be disappointed. They are a small shop so be patient. The food will not disappoint you.
