Avis sur Left Field Dogs Alameda
Great new place to get some really good hot dogs. Love that serve their tater tots nice and crispy. Definitely worth the try and happy that they’re in Alameda.
Hands down the best hot dog I’ve ever had. I got the Jimmy Rollins (with a veggie dog) and it was packed with flavor. The sauce was perfect with the toppings. You would never have known it was a veggie dog! Hot dog and crispy tater tots on a chilly day, what more could you ask for? Highly recommend.
Great new addition to the West Side. Imaginative dogs and excellent fries, with local beer. What's not to like? Had the Tijuana dog (had a different name) but anything wrapped in bacon, grilled, and served with peppers and onions on a delicious roll has to entice. The chili fries are excellent - nice vinegary chili is a secret superpower.
Just finished eating the "Derek Jeter" house special at Left Field Dogs, a delicious all beef dog smothered in sauerkraut and onions, topped with really tasty mustard in a freshly baked bun. Omg, it was good. Run, don't walk to this place for lunch. The food is just off the charts. You can smell the food calling to you from kitchen as you walk up the street. The staff are super nice. The prices are shockingly low for the quality of ingredients. Service is super fast. What a welcome addition to our neighborhood!
The green and gold storefront caught my eye across the street from the gas station. Love the names for each dog. They were getting ready to close so I took it to go and was pleased that it held up after my drive home! Can’t wait to go back and try the other ones!
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon to grab a quick bite and not only was my hot dog on point, but I also happened to sit down next to the The D-Train himself, Dontrelle Willis! I'll definitely be making this one of my regular spots! Thanks for the amazing experience, y'all!
Everything tastes good, looks good, fast service, and chill spot.
BEST hot dogs and loaded fries! Very flavorful and hit the spot! I highly recommend this place.

Left Field Dogs is absolutely fantastic! Every item on the menu is delicious. The tater tots may be the best I've ever had! Definitely recommend checking this place out!
It looks great and everyone seems to enjoy it. Reviewing positively to offset the dude that rated one star because he could see the sign they sold out on their opening day and closed early. Like dude come on. Don’t kick the new business that just launched with an early nasty review.
Haven’t had the pleasure of trying them out but posting 5/5 stars because in sure it’ll be delicious and I want to off set that ridiculous 1 star review. Will be having my husband also post a 5 star review to help as well!
Just had the Derek Jeter and an order of fries. Not your ordinary hotdog! Crispy fries. They ran out of beef dogs, so I got bratwurst.

Went in, end of the week of their first week open. With all of the fixin's added, consider these dogs a complete meal. The diner is in a semi-soft opening mode and still coming up to speed. But even with that what was pitched over the plate was delicious and service was friendly and attentive. As the crowd thinned the person working the grill (owner?, manager?) even took the time to come out and engage, explaining how they where working out the opening day kinks. Hence the fifth star. The menu's items are all named after ballplayers with local connections. (I had previously known of the legendary Toni Stone, what I did not know, until I got home, was that after her playing days, she lived her final years here in Oakland and Alameda). As one reviewer mentioned, they are not taking cash as payment, but I was told that they soon will be Overall, I'll be back.

A fantastic hot dog. I got the Jimmy rollings. 13 bucks. And a great beer on tap. What's missing? Pictures. Also the pickles. A tease. I'm not willing to spend 12 bucks to see if they are worth 12 bucks. Hook a brother up and give me a wedge with each order. Also, need some lighting in front to let others know you're open Will I return again? Absolutely. Thanks for the meal and super nice staff. 5:45 pm
High quality, tasty food, but price/portion size needs to improve. I've been excited for this place to open for a while. I got the Ricky Henderson, the truffle fries and a beer. The imaginative style of the specials are wonderful, it's cool to see a hot dog inspired by a Bahn Mi or a cheese steak. Wherever they source their bread from is exquisite, the bacon on the chorizo sausage was nice and crispy, the toppings gave it a little bit of a kick and made every bite wonderful. Their fries are nice and crispy, the flavor of their truffle fries is on point and their staff is incredibly friendly and the guys working in the kitchen seemed engaged. In terms of areas of improvement: finer grating on their parmesan cheese for their truffle fries, the size that it was compared to the fries caused it to just slide off most of the time, if it was closer to parmesan powder it would likely work much better. I think the prices might need to come down for some of the Specialty dogs, the portions for their fries need to go up or there needs to be some sort of combo option, it was a little disappointing that I was still hungry after spending $20 on dinner. The food came out a little slow, and the process to assemble/cook the dogs seemed a bit involved. I hope those are just caused by kinks that'll be worked out during their soft opening. I do hope that they will eventually be able to make a lot of different dogs quickly as I can easily see this place being a perfect late night quick grub spot on Webster. Overall, would recommend trying and I hope to be able to update my review to a 5 next time I try it, because it has some great potential.

The beef frank that Left Field Dog uses is just fabulous. An appropriate size with good color and charred. The French roll is better than the potato bun. Can't wait to try one of the newer options that's "coming soon". I've eaten there twice so far and will be back. Also their French fries were pretty good too.
Pretty good food, and nice ingredients (fresh local roll etc), about as good as a dog can be. Price is a bit on the steep side for what it is. I paid $15 for a dog, with some awesome toppings, but no sides/drink. Maybe that's just the cost of doing business now, but for a greasy spoon, takeout-hot dog I feel like the price point should be lower? Awesome new spot nonetheless.
Made my own from available options. Kobalski with bacon and cheese on a French roll. These are much larger than I expected so that's a plus. Fries were crispy

The house specials are excellent. I ordered the Jimmy Rollins and it was delicious. However, their create your own is NOT worth it. I’ve attached a picture of a plain hot dog with a pickle (which is exactly what my child ordered) and that cost $12. The bacon wrapped dog with cheese sauce sauce $15+. For four hot dogs and two plain tater tots, it cost my family $75. I really want to support this business but it’s just too pricey for us to return.

My hot dog was almost $15 and it took 25 minutes for them to make. The taste was ok but honestly the 7 eleven around the corner will give it a run for there money at $1.50

Went to Left Field Dogs I got the Sammy Sosa dog the food is terrible. Hot dogs should be boiled and the buns should be steamed. Overpriced who would wants to pay $14 for a hot dog that's crazy. There are alternative options like the Pampered Pup and Casper's.
