Great variety. Love their produce deals. Been getting 2lbs of oranges for $1. Also all the ingredients to make your own sushi or kbbq meals and more. Lots of variety, good prices
This is the best grocery store. Absolutely packed with incredible produce, great meat and seafood selection, great food court, every sauce you can think of (maybe). Lots of samples too which can spoil your lunch. Best of all they have a fabulous taco stand in the parking lot.
I mainly come here to grab lunch at one of the food stands located inside the market. I highly recommend the miso ramen from Sakura Noodle (name of the food stand). It's very very good. This place has a lot of other types of dishes and soups/ramen. The only two dishes I personally have gotten there are the miso soup and the teriyaki chicken bowl which is good as well (large portion). From what I've seen of the actual market is limited. They seem to have a nice bakery area (near the food stand which is why I've seen it) and looks very clean in general in there. My coworker love shopping there.
A good mix of Korean and Japanese grocery. The hot foods are great! I never had to wait in line at checkout, there are always several cashiers.
This place is amazing. They serve free food from time to time. I had a pork dumpling 🥟 few weeks ago, hope they’ve some other options next time I visit 😋😃
Best Asian market in the Arts District. All us locals shop there for everything. The produce is amazing. And the little old ladies making kimchi in the back is not to be missed.
I'm impressed !! they are open on New Year till 8pm The never disappointed ! If you are looking for holidays last minute groceries , this market never let you down ! I come here at least once a week for usual my groceries. I buy meets & egg, korean kimchi, oganic produces and all kinda sauces. A lot of snacks!! Ramen is cheap here ;)) I love they have good produces (vegies & fruits)and decent amount organic ones as well(little options for organic fruits tho) They have garage parking and outside parking. Outside is 90mins free with just showing receipt and garage parking needs validation from the market !
Amazing and fairly complete array of Japanese and Korean foods and more! Shops and restaurants inside! Parking in the adjacent structure is validated. This market is pretty big. It has a big cosmetics stand where I found some makeup qtips and even a stand that sells glasses inside. They have a great deal of groceries to offer. They have pretty much all the Asian groceries you could want. There are security guards all over this place. You can park in the structure next to it and most of its first level is parking for this supermarket. There are also meters on the street.
This Japanese market is a hidden goldmine if you’re into snacks, sushi, sweets, or just vibey Asian food finds without spending a bag. The place is massive — rows on rows of goodies you didn’t even know existed. Definitely the go-to spot when you want something fun, fast, and fire without sitting down at a full-blown restaurant. Came here to grab a poke bowl and some sweets — left with way more than I planned, and still spent way less than expected. Great bang for your buck if you’re ballin’ on a budget but still want quality. There’s also a big parking garage (free with validation), and it’s connected to a whole mall full of cool shops, restaurants, and dessert spots. Kinda perfect if you wanna make a little day out of it. Whether you’re hunting for rare snacks, drinks, or a quick sushi fix — this spot’s a sleeper hit. Highly recommend pulling up.
One of the grocery stores have always wanted to stop at, but yet on the top of the roof. There's a great power restaurant that I ended up going to by accident. The lots of other great restaurants and shops throughout the building. It's a must try and have fun. There are Korean corn dogs. That's my next try spot but there are lots of shops. The market has great fruits, vegetables and stuff that you would have never thought about trying. So it's a must stop in but don't forget to go to the top of the roof
This Korean run grocery store is pretty good with a large selection with seafood, sushi, and a bakery inside. The seafood section is okay. The mixed sashimi selection was bad. Don't get it. However, the Mexican uni they had was delicious. It's got a Daiso, Korean Market, and some cute art stores on the second floor. This is not as cute as the other Japanese Plaza but it's a workable mini mall. There's a bathroom on the second floor that's pretty private and quiet.
Very cool store and prices are reasonable, there is also a restaurant. If in the area I would come, otherwise there isn't a particular reason to come here over other Japanese markets in the area, but it does feel closer to being a market in Japan than Japanese Market in America. Place is clean, organized, staff is friendly. There is paid garage parking.
Ok just know I will be going back, we went on a Saturday and it was crowded limes doe the door and down the way for restaurants so we did some shopping, we will have to go back to sit and eat on a week day when everyone is busy but all in all I liked it, the atmosphere the people the live bands and the food looked so good, love the two grocery stores with all the great deli food as well as goodies and snacks. I will post again when we hit the restaurants but as for now I’ll show you what we saw.
Used to have strong japanese influence / presence in 90s ..now it is half korean. Market items are reasonably priced and clean. Parking is free in the structure if you buy something. I remember the days of Japanese bookstore and Japanese Arcade upstairs. Still pretty safe and clean.
Purchased a few groceries here. There is validated parking for 90 minutes free if you purchase at least $5 in merchandise. There is a lot of produce, the typical array of seafood and meat products as well as snacks, noodles and more. Make no mistake, this is a Korean supermarket despite the name and some Japanese translations. This store is Korean with most packaged products from Korean brands and the seafood and meat departments catering to dominant Korean consumer tastes. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly.
Ample parking, the store is well organized and clean. I was excited about the variety of groceries to choose from. When i was done shopping i noticed that there were 3 register open. I went in like to the other register but the woman told me that the line is at the center on aisle 6 so i went to aisle 6. There were about 3 people in line in front of me. And saw the woman just took a man in same nationally and didn't ask him to go in line. Don't really know what to say afterwards. The people in line just shook their heads cause were waiting.
The little market is awesome. But im not sure what is the deal with one of the security guards. I get there are homeless people around but please dont take it out on the people who are just browsing. Definitely didnt make me feel welcome
The market and shops here are great, but the property owner kills the business by making the parking look like a trap. There is a ton of parking here, and long ago, before the new ownership, the lot was busy and the shops in the mall were doing good business. But now, all the parking spots have some kind of specific restriction for time or for the business that you can patronize. We used to have dinner here and then go to the market, maybe pick up some things at Utsuwa-no-Yakata... But now we avoid the whole galleria for fear of getting the car towed or being harassed by the parking attendant. More than half the storefronts in the galleria are empty. SAD, Sad, sad.
