Beautiful atmosphere, it’s cozy. I got the breakfast burger and it was delicious, melted in my mouth (ask for medium! They cook it to perfection). A tad pricey I paid $21 total for just a burger that comes with potatoes. no drinks. Parking in the back for all stores in the area.
Very very good brunch that you might consider! Easy to park area with very freshly made oatmeals, authentic French toast, and the house brand brunch platter, the price is also very competitive to downtown Boston area, can't recommend more!!!! P.S. the coffee is really fresh and good-taste as well!
First time eating at Scobie’s and we had a lovely time. There was a private party that had just ended and the atmosphere was lively. Our server was very nice and recommended some menu items since it was our first time. Looking forward to trying their brunch in the future. The food was good! I enjoyed the salmon and mashed potatoes.
Wow, I could’ve made this at home. I was very pleased to have a American breakfast made for me. The potatoes were the best part season to perfection. Bacon was really crispy and thick just like I like it. The place is cute. We went for brunch on a Saturday it wasn’t too packed. Seems to be a cool addition to the neighborhood.
Great place for warm Irish comfort food. Love the croquettes and garlic butter steak bites! Cozy interior, fun live music. Upbeat but chill atmosphere.
I came to this restaurant looking for French toast. It did not disappoint me. The French toast was cooked to perfection. The coffee is OK too.

Had a phenomenal experience here, the bartender was amazing, she handled another table that was treating her terribly with grace and professionalism. I would hire a staff member like that in a heartbeat. I wish that I had 10 people like her working the bar and the floor.
We recently hosted a small baptism celebration at Scobies. From initial inquiry to the day of the event, the entire planning process was seamless and communication was excellent. Marlena helped me plan a menu, a fun signature drink for the event, and made sure we had everything we needed. The day of the event Marlena and Sean took great care of us! Our guests were wowed by the food, fabulous service, and wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend contacting Scobie’s for your event!
I had a fantastic experience at Scobies! From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff made me feel right at home. Danielle was so nice and friendly. She gave great recommendations and was very helpful! What really stood out was the service—friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right, but this café really does. Again, Danielle was so so so kind! Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. I'll definitely be coming back
Best beers on tap around. Food is excellent. Live music makes for great ambiance. Love when they have the windows open. Wish they had bar hours during the week!
This place is the best, hands down! Service was top notch and the food was delicious. If you’re looking for a great meal in a cozy atmosphere, this is the spot (bonus points for the live Irish music if you time it right). My girlfriend and I moved to the neighborhood recently and Scobies has become a weekly staple for us to grab a bite and a drink at.
Great soups, unbelievable curry and overall great experience. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We sat in back because the front was too loud with a younger group. Definitely coming back for the Sunday roast.

I only checked out the café area of Scoobies, so I didn’t get the full experience of the entire restaurant. The place has two separate entrances, one for the restaurant and one for the café at the back, though they’re all connected inside. The café itself is really cute, with a nice variety of menu options, including food made in Scoobies’ kitchen, pastries, and great drinks. We decided to try the seasonal strawberry shortcake flavor, and the iced coffee was delicious! I’d definitely stop by for another coffee if I’m in the area. We also tried the Oreo donut, but unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy it. It didn’t seem freshly made—it felt more like a store-bought donut, which wasn’t worth the price. The place was pretty busy, and I’m guessing it’s the same on weekends, so service was a bit slow. But the staff was doing their best, juggling multiple to-go orders and walk-ins. I’m definitely eager to return and try the full menu at the restaurant!

Scobies is a great vibe. The ambiance is nice and the food great. I love the BLT on sour dough with and egg over med and chz for breakfast/brunch. The shepherds pie is alwasy great and roasted chicken very good too. Fav bartender/server is Mark, always professional and aims to connect with guests. Located in Ads village, we have always found a spot to park tho, we do go out early. Final thought the Irish brown bread is perfectly baked.

I have been in this area for over 26 years so glad to see so many new great restaurants to choose from ! Scobies is a cool, cute, airy and vibrant place. Very modern.. friendly staff. A large bar. At the bar, you will wait a little for a drink not because it’s busy because it’s a pretty young staff and they don’t know how to approach immediately to offer drinks .Perfect time of year to go St. Patrick’s Day My husband felt as though the portions could be larger, but the food was good.
Place has a beautiful atmosphere! Having said that, food came out cold, and the rashers were over done. The bar was way too busy to have one bartender. The food runners often appeared confused on where food needed to go. Hopefully they get it together in the coming weeks. I'm rooting for this place!
Scobies was billed as an authentic Irish Pub in the middle of Adams Corner and our group was excited to visit. We go there midweek and just after lunch. We sat ourselves with the blessing of the bartender. Then, we had to wait for a waiter. Because it took so long, the conscientious bartender came over and took our drink order. The Guinness was unbelievably good and creamy! We didn't quite get the Irish pub feel at all. More of the group arrived and the waiter finally came over and took more drink orders. We waited almost 10 minutes for the additional drinks. The lunch order was put in and came in a timely fashion. The groups overall feeling on the food was the price didn't match the quality. The waiter could have been more attentive as we had to waive him down every time we needed something (it was not crowded at all). We were underwhelmed, but will give Scobies another shot.

Incredible space, friendly service, decent food, and INSANE prices. We’ve done a dinner, a lunch, and just got breakfast to go. Food is always satisfactory, but dinner for two was $130 (not terrible for Boston), lunch was $50 (sandwiches and coffees), and now to go order of a breakfast sandwich, two coffees and an $8 yogurt parfait for $34 might be the end of my patronage here. EDIT- on top of the disappointing parfait, they forgot my bacon on a bacon egg and cheese. ✌️ 2nd edit - you can be one of 4 people at the bar and their bartenders will still not pay attention. Disappointing level of service after 1 year of them barely surviving in AV

Scobies Café and Bar has always been one of my go-to spots in dot — the food is still brilliant, no complaints there. But ever since Shaun from Ireland left, the place just hasn’t been the same. The warm, friendly Irish atmosphere that made Scobies special seems to have disappeared right along with him. The service has really dropped off lately, which is disappointing for a place that used to feel like home. The one bright spot is Mark, who still keeps things going strong behind the bar — if you’re sitting there, make sure to try his espresso martini, it’s honestly the best around. Really hope Scobies can bring back that great energy it had when Shaun was around — the food deserves it !

We were over for a family christening in Boston last week , Food was ok , pricey for the pints 42 dollars for 4 was steep , luckily the Eire pub was across the road and nearly half the price , like an aul country pub from home too
I walked into Scoobies Café & Bar and immediately regretted it. I waited 11 minutes just to be acknowledged, all while nearly the entire staff scrambled around trying to figure out how to seat a party of ten—as if they’d never seen a group that size before. Eventually, I gave up and just walked to the bar myself because I was hungry and short on time (I had a funeral to attend). My spouse then waited over 10 minutes just to get a simple coffee. Meanwhile, I watched multiple tables leave because they were being ignored while all attention was given to the bridal party. If this place can’t handle a group of ten, then they shouldn’t accept them at all—or they should temporarily close while catering to them. The service was flat-out poor: no smiles, no sense of urgency, and no professionalism. Even the manager looked like a “hippy kindergarten teacher” with no sense of business presentation. Honestly, I would never recommend Scoobies to anyone—not in a million years. I hope one day they’re replaced by a restaurant that actually knows how to run a business and treat customers with respect.
