Food and service was great
Best pizza in the area
We loved Derby City Pizza in our home town of New Albany. Great little sports bar. Food was excellant. Megs was the bomb!! Will be back very soon!!
Great pizza! Prices on the high side however. Very fast service.
If you love pizza this is the place to go great food good beer fantastic service with a smile don't let the price of the food discourage you from eating here I promise you you're missing out if you do for two people a beer each and small pizza each about 40$ definitely quality ingredients you get a decent amount of toppings for the price the sauce is amazing just the right amount of sauce not too much and not too little we left happy and full we will be back
I only ordered pizza, but it was the best that I have had in a long time. Very good, worth the price.
Second time here, this time we did take out, took 20 minutes and food was great. love the thin crust.
Got the large thick crust and well done. It was perfect! We ate it so fast I didn’t take picture. 😂
A fun sports bar with a variety of great food! Knowledgeable servers and an upbeat atmosphere!
Great food and excellent service

Had another great meal. Service and food were awesome!!!
Lunch menu is phenomenal! Great price, great quantity, serious quality!
I was skeptical due to the reviews, but this pizza is seriously good! Definitely recommend!
Service was on point! Very clean establishment and the food was awesome!
Great pizza place, super friendly people and awesome pizza!
It was packed! We were seated right away, but informed the wait would be an hour an a half. We got our drinks right away and appetizers soon after. The service was fantastic! The food was fantastic and the pizza was absolutely worth the wait time! Great experience!! Cheyenne, our server, was awesome and we were also checked on repeatedly by 2 separate members of management and another server. Great service! Great pizza!
I’ve eaten here 3 times since they opened. They are always busy and the food is phenomenal! I found my new favorite is the thick crust with bacon, onions, and green pepper. I ended up eating the whole thing. It has been awesome to see how the staff has acclimated to how busy they have been. So happy to have this location in Indiana. Welcome Derby City Pizza!
My wife and I stopped in here last Saturday. Absolutely fantastic food. The young lady who waited on us was great, won't find better. I'm more of a sports bar atmosphere person so that's not.to say I wouldn't go back I'd just prefer a little more lively place. I will be back, hard to turn away from pizza and beer 🍺
me and my client went for lunch. the food was so good, and they had amazing priced lunches. i got half of a sub, chips, pickles, and a salad only for $8! it was so hot, and the salad was refreshing. our waitress was so sweet to us. we were even greeted before we walked through the door. amazing place! give it a try!
Pizza was excellent. I had sausage with extra cheese. (I didn't get the Italian sausage) It was a nice day and we could sit outside. The only complaint is that it's way too expensive IMO. I'll only be going here every once in awhile.
The young lady that took my order was very nice and helpful. Pizza was delicious.
Perfect, thin crust pizza was great
We went to Derby City Pizza in New Albany on a Saturday night that had several local college games being broadcast. It was a busy night. We were met with courtesy and warmth. We sat down and ordered drinks and an appetizer: pretzel bites with jalapeno dipping sauce. The waitress acknowledged our son and was very kind and attentive. He has special needs and also has some peculiar dietary issues. The staff at Derby City Pizza more than cooperated with this. I mentioned he is rocking the tism and she was taken aback. It is what it is and we embrace him and how he is. We went to order pizza (the thing we came there for) and let me tell you: they allow you to split specialty pizzas. Like you can get half meats and half veggie or half cheese and half veggie. At no extra charge. This is novel and appreciated. The pizza came out in a reasonable time period and it was delicious. The waitress did not hover and was very knowledgeable about their products. Overall, I would highly recommend anyone who loves pizza to here and give them a try. A+
A Solid Go-To Spot. Derby City Pizza is one of those places where you know exactly what you’re going to get—and that’s a good thing. No frills, no gimmicks—just solid, classic pizza and pizza-style sides served in a clean and relaxed setting. If you look at my photos, the pizza looks exactly like it tastes: satisfying, cheesy, and cooked just right. The half-and-half pizza we had was generously topped—one side loaded with meats and veggies, and the other a perfectly golden pepperoni. The cheese bread was equally impressive, served hot, bubbly, and full of flavor. The inside of this particular location is clean and welcoming, with plenty of seating and several TVs mounted around for a casual dining experience. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for a laid-back night out, family dinners, or grabbing a bite with friends to catch a game. Price-wise, Derby City hits that sweet spot. It’s affordable without skimping on portion size or taste. While it might not be the most gourmet pizza in town, it’s consistent and reliable—good enough to make it a regular stop when you’re craving pizza that hits the spot. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which adds to the overall experience. Whether it’s your first visit or your fifteenth, you’ll feel welcomed and taken care of. All in all, Derby City Pizza is a dependable, tasty option when you just want some good pizza with no fuss.
It was nice and clean. The food was great. Just enough for lunch spaghetti dinner. The cheesy bread was great and what was her name was Megan L.. was fantastic.... thank you, Kendall
I’m going to be honest; this place is great for the money. I read through a bunch of the comments and was waiting for this place to have its issues but I didn’t see any problems at all. I think part of the problem is it seems everyone is expecting a 3 star Michelin restaurant or something. This is a local chain that had good food at a good price. It tastes like what you’d friends mom would make. Not the best food ever, but it’s cheesy and meaty and good. We got cheesy breadsticks, a small chicken bacon ranch pizza, their lasagna, 2 beers, and a slice of derby pie (the real kind from Kerns Kitchen!). It was $50. was it the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life? No. Was the lasagna made with the most expensive imported ingredients from Italy? No. Was it good food for the price? Oh yeah 100%. I saw someone’s review saying the lasagna wasn’t good because it had “too much meat”. Personally, I love a good meaty cheesy lasagna. Maybe it wasn’t authentic, but it tasted great. Overall, 5/5 stars. Don’t go hear if you’re expecting the worlds best Italian food. Do go here if you want tasty Italian food for a good price. Oh, and one last thing, for what it’s worth, the owner seems to really actually like the Louisville area. Like this place had a bunch of New Albany focused stuff. It’s nice when people actually take price in their local area.

WOW! We are really impressed! Ordering was easy, Delivery was fast and the food was Amazing! Meatballs are big and juicy! The cheese loaf was delicious and crispy! We usually do not like marinara sauce, but this was really really good! Pizza was perfect, Nice thin crispy crust and loaded with toppings! We will definitely be ordering again!
Went in around 9pm on Saturday night. Was in town for the weekend. First time having derby City pizza. When the pizza was ready I found out it was cut in squares. I told the manager that my family wouldn't eat it that way. He had it made over for me with no attitude. The pizza was delicious. Thanks so much. When we come back to Indiana I will definitely be eating there again.
I went specifically for the gluten free crusts (gluten free and broccoli and cheese crust) and they were very good! The buffalo chicken was perfect and the plain cheese was delicious too.
The garlic cheese sticks are absolutely amazing. They're marinara is top notch. I had a meat lovers pizza without hamburger and added bacon and it was absolutely hands down one of the best pizzas I've had. The other members of my family had their own pizzas and also said it was extremely tasty. Kerri was our waitress. She is charming, pleasant and on top of everything with your order. This was our second visit and we will gradually come back again.
I visited this location last week for lunch and was pleased. One of the Cooks answered a couple questions for me. He said his name was Landon. It’s really nice to see the youth of our community working and being very respectful. I also noticed him wearing gloves and noticed after he had touched the countertop he took them off and tossed them away . My spaghetti and meatballs were delicious and the salad was nice and fresh. Feeling like you are in a clean atmosphere means a lot to customers. A+

Got a Supreme it was wonderful...
I didnt sit down for my meal. I ordered carry out. The cashier was friendly and the pizza and side salad were fantastic.
First time to Derby City Pizza! Let me say we eat a LOT of pizza and this pizza is GOOD. I would put the crust up at the top of any we have had! Thin and crispy!! The toppings had great flavor. It was light on the sauce which was fine and I know that is important to some. Our only small negative was our server was busy doing other things. Maybe helping in the kitchen.. lots of to go orders. But there were other servers that weren’t busy or didn’t even have a table. It seemed more like we were just something else that had to be done. It was a bit challenging to get our server. But let me say we will be back for the great pizza!
Pizza was a decent thin crust style. They weren’t busy when we were there but our service was lackluster. Waitress didn’t seem to understand questions I asked so I didn’t get exactly what I intended. Will go back again to try a pasta dish. Wheelchair users beware: most tables are high tops. Very little seating at regular height tables.
I had the chicken ranch pizza. It was a delicious pizza. I ordered a large and that was more than enough to feed two people. We also had the spaghetti and meatball and it was okay, not much to say about it. Service was fine, kinda slow on getting menus and coming back for drink refills but other than that we had a very nice server. Would come back. 🍕
veggie pizza was good. my only complaint is the price, $19 for a medium 12 inch pizza.

Kinda pricey
Waited way to long for our take out and the staff upfront don't seem happy about their jobs nor did they offer me a drink for my wait
Service was weak, thin crust pizza crispy was excellent
I did not get the dish I paid for! I ordered jumbo meatballs and spaghetti, nut got only spaghetti and cheese. No meatballs!
The pizzas were very good. There was a delay in us getting our pizzas, once our last pizza arrived our server asked us if we needed boxes, as she was sitting the pizza on our table. Then she brought our check 10 minutes later and while we were looking the check over she came over and said here is your total you need to pay. This was more than 2 hours before closing, so it’s not like they needed to clean and shut down for the night. We will try them again in the future hopefully the service is better.
The Pizza and wings are great. The girl that took my order wasn't very friendly and didn't know anything about the menu. I asked if the spaghetti and meatballs come with bread stick or 2. She just said I don't know and didn't offer to ask or anything The spaghetti and sauce was not but thats my opinion and I was gonna do the lasagna but cottage cheese instead of ricotta just sounds disgusting. Definitely doesn't belong in lasagna
Derby City Pizza is a great place to watch your favorite game, but the food is average at best. When I ordered the large garden salad, I expected to have some tongs or something to serve it into my plate. The staff had to retrieve a pair of tongs from the cooking area; they don't offer tongs on a normal basis. They use paper plates bought from The Dollar Store, and we had to ask several times for some eating utensils. This is not my favorite pizza parlor.
Average pizza. Good, hot, good amount of toppings. However, it was waaay too expensive for pizza, especially carry out. We had 2 small (10") pizza with thick crust. His had ham. Mine had ham, mushroom, green peppers. That's it. No drinks, nothing extra (because they upcharge for EVERYTHING). Was it worth $45 (before tip)? No, it was not. SERVICE WAS GREAT.
It did the job! Nothing memorial. If you're looking for an average pizza you can find it here. I do like how there was a large number of toppings to select from and they were kind enough to let me split the pizza for the different tastes at the table.

Pass.
Two of three items were incorrect- ordered an Italian sub and got a ham and cheese sub, ordered a bbq pizza that came with no sauce. The third item - sausage/pepperoni pizza was good but average, carry out service was quick.
Pizza was cold and crust was chewy. Servers were complaining and on disgruntled. Not impressed with food, service or atmosphere
Arennies with more set's my first and last time there. One hour wait for cold pizza and soggy wings
BBQ chicken pizza looked and smelled amazing, but sadly, it was terrible. The chicken tasted reheated. We couldn't even eat it. Wings were ok. Lasagna had WAY too much sausage. We'll be back, but we will definitely try something else.

First pizza was cold in the middle. Cheese not melted. Made us a second pizza that wasn’t much better. Charge you for having it hand tossed & almost 3 dollars just to add pineapple. Only gave us a 3 dollar discount on our order when all said & done. We will not be back! Nor will we recommend to anyone!!

Not in Derby City
Worst pizza we have had it in really long time
Bad service, ok at best food, menu is bland.
Just moved over hear on brownsboro seen derby city pizza and was hoping they could be the family’s new favorite pizza place called ahead and ordered when I got there one of the workers didn’t have shoes and was walking around ,my order was wrong and they tried to argue with me about making it right when I finally got home and ate the food it was cold and soggy and tasted like water pizza terrible experience I tried the cinnamon sticks they were a 1/10 to !!would not recommend
Tried to eat here. Walked in and the sign said seat yourself. Sat down. Waited 15 minutes and no one ever served us. Got up walked out without even a peep from any of the staff. I was watched coming in and watched leaving. Very strange place.
Order buffalo chicken pizza. Terrible, chicken dried out and awful. Advised server, Cassie, didn't ask if we wanted anything else or take off bill. Won’t be back.
Fix your hours so people know what time you are open. Your employees clearly seen us waiting for you to open. For 15 minutes becuase online shows 11am and we walk in and are told you don't open till 12.
Food is really bland, seems like it is all cooked from a tv dinner in the microwave. Menu is blah. Service was mediocre. This why we cook at home.
We were the only people in the restaurant besides a group of drunk people at the bar at 5:30 p.m. Servers saw us walk in and sit down but never came over. We should have gone to the Jeffersonville one. We will not make that mistake again.
I had horrible experience. First off the service was horrible. Server seemed lost at times. She gave us food with no silverware. Then she brings us paper plates and plastic silverware. My fork broke. So I walked to the bar asked for another one. She asked if I wanted a real fork. I said yes please. Then the food. The wings were great. The pizza was decent. The toppings fall off after one bite but taste was decent. The quality of some of there toppings were poor. Then the bill 50 bucks for one pizza wings and 2 cokes horrible for lunch price. I don't mind paying that for quality not quantity. The ultimate price I paid that made me give you a 1 star was feeling sick after eating there. Me and the wife both had issues all day after eating here. Knowing that we probably won't come back.
Extremely overpriced for the product. Costing $31 for a 3 topping 14" pizza with extra cheese which apparently cost over $7 dollars by its self. Then they didn't bother to put the extra cheese on. If I could post the picture of the receipt and the pizza I would. Truly a disappointing meal. Oh by the way I have never left a review on any product before but was that disappointed.
I have never rated a restaurant in my life, but that mystery meat chicken wing platter that they served was an absolute, horrible experience. Not to mention, they forgot to give me a fork. It seemed like they were warmed up in a microwave from frozen. The meat was dark, discolored, and slimy. Example in the photo. Additionally, this was not isolated to one wing. Most of them look like this. Needless to say, I was unable to eat the rest of the wings.
Over-rated & overpriced... I ordered 2 pizza hoagies, took 20 min to get order (was not busy). It was an open hoagie bun with 10 very thin slices of pepperoni sitting on a little cheese & pizza sauce. Tasted ok, but nothing special, cost $20 for 2 Side note, we both felt sick & extra bathroom visits after eating here

Ordered for the first time using Grubhub. The order was delayed and when it arrived, the lasagna was so cold, it was almost solid cheese on the top. We asked for utensils but they weren't included. I haven't addressed the super salty taste because it varies per person. Very poor first experience.
Just stopped for a pizza. Did not get ANY service. No acknowledgement of my presence, no drink order, and never even got to order a pizza. Also accosted by a so called service dog. Decided to leave and server smiled as my said thanks for coming!! Unbelievable! I’m now at Pizza King. Should have started here!!
Pizza was way overpriced. My wife and I ate here for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was mostly empty. There were 2 other tables with people who already had their food. We ordered an appetizer which took a while. The appetizer was pepper jack cheese "chunks". Basically something you could buy frozen at the local grocery. We ordered our pizzas. After close to 45 minutes the pizza was finally delivered to our table. I did see a couple of "to go" orders picked up in the meantime. There is no excuse for this long of a wait with the restaurant being so empty. Even our waitress apologized for the wait and said she didn't understand why it took so long. To top it all off was the bill. 2 people. Two "medium sized" pizzas. One small appetizer. 2 soft drinks. Nearly $65! Our waitress was fine and the pizza was ok, but the wait was ridiculous and way overpriced. This place was 10 times better and cheaper when it was Rapid Fired Pizza. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. We won't be back.
The customer service is great here but the food wasn’t. I don’t know if it was just the veggie pizza but it was horrible, hard pieces or stems of something on the pizza… Also the crust has same texture as cardboard.. The garden salad also wasn’t good. Dressing tasted like slaw mix from the grocery store. I really wanted to love this place but the pizza was not it.
