Came here for Valentine’s Day and was so impressed ! The seafood is honestly amazing. I got the grilled combo and could not believe the amazing flavors. This is how all seafood should taste. The soup and bread were perfection. On top of the great food, the service was just as amazing. We already are planning to come next week!!

Delicious food, great, attentive service, welcoming, friendly atmosphere. When we get a chance to get to Astoria, we regularly eat at this Egyptian restaurant. I think it is authentic and every time we've been here, there is usually at least one large group at a long table. We've never had a problem getting a table relatively quickly, even though it is a busy restaurant. In the warm months, there are tables in front. We always get the babaghanoush. The delicious bread is fresh. The portions are generous and so flavorful. The neighborhood is busy, so we usually park on the street a few blocks away but there is a bus stop on the block. Highly recommend.

This Egyptian seafood spot was amazing! The food was super fresh, seasoned perfectly, and cooked just right. You could really taste the quality nothing frozen or bland. The grilled fish was juicy, the shrimp had the perfect spice, and the sides tied everything together. The staff were friendly and made the whole experience feel welcoming. I’ve spent a lot of time on Steinway and somehow managed to neglect Sabry’s until today BUT DO NOT SLEEP ON SABRY’S. The calamari was so flavorful, the branzino was perfectly grilled, the octopus was extremely tender. And the perfectly cooked, pillowy soft, hot from the oven pita we used to dip all the buttery juices off of the plate was a true highlight. I’ll be dreaming of that pita for days. Highly recommend for groups, amazing for sharing. Super attentive staff.

Had always heard great things and I can confirm that they hold up. They have some outdoor seating so we took advantage of that. Ordered the Sabry’s Combo (shrimp, calamari and salmon) which came with salad, bread and rice. Also got the mixed Tajine (shrimp and calamari) which was incredible. Definitely be sure to save your bread to dip on the Tajine. While we were waiting for our food, the owner popped his head out to say that they had a special soup that day so we decided to try it. It was Molokhia or green soup which had shrimp in it. Everything was delicious and I’ll definitely be coming back

The food was delicious! We ordered the seafood combo and a grilled fish. The bread was so fluffy and non- oily. The octopus was perfectly tender and had a nice char. The Tajaine was PHENOMENAL! Definitely check Sabry’s out if you’re in the neighborhood.

Amazing place! Seafood soup is great for winter. Bread is soooo good! Scallops are fresh, juicy, tendon and flavorful! Rice so special and tasty! Love every dish literally! Made my Sunday! Highly recommend!

Sabry’s is a true gem. I come here a few times a month and always order the dorado - it's consistently fresh, grilled just right, and incredibly satisfying. While the dorado is my go-to, everything on the menu is worth trying. The restaurant clearly has deep roots in the local Egyptian community, but the staff is welcoming to everyone. The vibe is great, the food is excellent, and it always feels like a place people come back to for a reason.

It was a very beautiful day. The friendly welcome made me feel like I was part of the place, not just a customer, which meant a lot to me. Went to Sabry’s Seafood Restaurant with my friend yesterday, and I really enjoyed it! The service was great, we ordered a grilled Bronzino fish that came with a delicious salad and rice. Excellent dining experience! Ordered the Grilled Seafood Combo for 2. The portion we received could maybe even serve 3-4 people as you get full very quickly. For the food itself, it’s super fresh, delicious and honestly a steal of a deal. Considering all the fresh seafood, the salad, the rice. baba ganoush and pita that come with the meal. Our server Asser was very efficient and made sure our order came out a little extra charred which was our preference. 10/10 and would always recommend to anyone that lives near Astoria/LIC area

If I could give them 100 stars I would. The food here is so amazing seriously. We ordered the grilled combo, babaganoush, mango juice, and fries. Our grilled platter came with the house salad and delicious homemade pita. The pita alone blew my mind away. The seafood was absolutely delicious and the best I’ve had in my life and in the city. The quality is consistently excellent. This place makes us feel at home. The mint lemonade is really refreshing and one of the best we’ve had. We drive almost two hours to eat here, and it’s absolutely worth it every time. The staff is incredibly hospitable, and the service is always warm, attentive, and excellent. Fantastic food and service! The eggplant with tomato sauce and the red snapper were particularly great. The freshly made warm bread is also highly recommended. I loved that there was no rush and that we could spend some time there to sit with friends and enjoy the food.

Amazing food specially their lobster and brazzini. Ysser helped us so much and if you want a suggestion on what to order ask him his recommendations are super yummy! Definitely a place I love to come every single time. Their pita bread is heavenly, super soft and you can see the smoke coming out of it.

We went because some friends said we had to try the Shrimp a la Sabry’s. It was 10/10. We then saw what the table next to us got and had to come back the next night! (It was the seafood platter for two). So fresh and so much food at a great price. The servers are so lovely and fast. We want to be regulars!

I have been coming here a lot now and every time it is phenomenal. It is the restaurant I take my friends to wow them because most haven't had egyptian food before and they are always wowed. I always get the mixed seafood soup, mixed taojine, eggplant, and egyptian style bronzini. Prices are great too for eating like royalty. The owner/manager is very sweet too! Also the bread is absolutely phenomenal.

I eat fish most noticeably salmon outside the house at least twice a week. This definitely has become one of the better places on my rotation both for size/$ and quality/$. Generous portion sizes for a fair price and one of the best tasting salmon fillets in the area. I highly recommend this place. * Be aware though that your bill will come with a service charge that includes the tip. Great diamond in the rough! Went with my parents for dinner and shared the seafood platter for 2 with additional lobster. The seafood was perfectly cooked and the Egyptian spices on the seafood were delicious. The seafood combo came with rice, pita and a salad on the side. Really good value. Service was warm and welcoming, very quick and attentive anticipating our needs whether it was more tea or napkins from the messy seafood. Very relaxed environment, which was more suitable for our party (which included children) than the restaurant a few doors down (IYKYK). Came here on a Monday night and loved it so much I took another group of friends to Sabry’s the very next week. Loved everything we ordered. Do not sleep on the sides, we especially loved the hummus with the piping hot pita. The grilled octopus (not pictured) was also a highlight along with the grilled branzino.

We were seeking seafood on Steinway as a group of 6, and multiple places were full- we found Sabry's and they were extremely accommodating, setting up a table for us immediately. Their staff was very friendly, and provided lots of recommendations, and even gave us a few samples to try as we were curious. The manager/owner spoke with us multiple times despite the restaurant being busy, welcoming us, and ensuring we had a great evening. Very gracious hosts with a wonderful, community-oriented, atmosphere. It also was extremely affordable considering how much food we ordered!

Nice clean and ethnically Egyptian atmosphere. Very nicely done and at times creative accompanying dishes, like their eggplant slices with tomatoes sauce accented with sliced haves of mildly hot peppers. The accompaniment of puffy pita slightly crusty on the outside and deliciously soft a chewy on the inside was the perfect warm comfort on an evening with temperatures in the teens, as was the glass of tea with fresh mint.The grilled red snapper was very fresh and grilled perfectly. The service was competent, helpful and friendly if not outstanding. Definitely earning a spot on our go to list for good, satisfying and affordable seafood

Ate here last night because I was craving seafood. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere reminded me of the seafood restaurants in Egypt that I miss so dearly. Food was delicious, I ordered the lobster tail entree and it came with two lobster tails. The bread was fresh and a delight to eat with the baba ghanoush. Caveat: This place is no alcohol, no BYOB. PROS: We ordered branzino and shark stew. Both are delicious. 1st time trying shark meat, feels fresh with interesting texture. I heard their lemonade is great. CONS: If you decide to order shark meat - be warned, it may cause diarrhea. All in all, definitely worth the visit especially if you like chill environment, outside seating and moderate noise level.

Came here for dinner. Service is great. Very attentive and friendly. A bit rare in comparison with the other seafood shops in the area. I enjoyed the whiting fish the most, as well as red mullet and Dorado and their Mousaka! Would give them 10/10 and come back again!

If I could, I’d give Sabry’s Seafood a 10 out of 5. The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the place itself is just great—clean, comfortable, and inviting. The food was fresh and top quality, from start to finish. We had the Grilled Salmon and Grilled Bronzeiny as our main courses, and both were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The real surprise, though, was the shrimp soup—shockingly amazing and easily one of the best we’ve had. For sides, the rice was good, but the bread stole the show. It was so soft and tasty that we honestly wanted to ask for the recipe. To top it all off, we had the fresh lemonade, which was so good I ended up drinking four. Amazing food, great service, and an all-around fantastic experience. Highly recommend Sabry’s Seafood, we’ll definitely be back!

Went to Sabry’s Seafood last Saturday and for fresh seafood, this place was awesome. The service was friendly and welcoming, and they have a great selection of fresh fish and seafood that you can have prepared a number of different ways. We started with two orders of calamari, one fried and one grilled. The fried was good, but surprisingly the grilled calamari was the home run of the night. I’m not usually a big fan of grilled calamari, but this was perfectly cooked and topped spices that took it to another level. For our main, we had the branzino, which was also exceptional—super fresh and seasoned with a wonderful Egyptian spice blend. A great spot for seafood and one I’d happily return to.

We ordered the Seafood combo for two and we asked for it to be a bit spicy. The food was absolutely delicious! The seafood was fresh and the flavors were amazing. We were four people and this combo was filling because it also comes with salad and pita bread. The restaurant gave us complimentary Hibiscus Tea after our meal which was chilled and refreshing. The food was good the reason for my 4 star was a service fee charged with no disclaimer among a few other things. The food tasted very clean and fresh. Both my Bronzino and my wife’s Red snapper were excellent. The sides were rice and house salad which paired well with lemon and the fishes. We also had the octopus and the baba ganoush which were both some of the best I’ve tried. One thing I will say because it is not described on the menu is if you are trying to avoid burnt foods Egyptian style is burnt flower with cumin among other spices. It is very delicious however and with some lemon is great. One other thing is why plastic cups at a dine in? The server’s were very quick to serve and catered well. The prices were fair along with quantity and the quality was excellent. Parking near by is ok also but not great. I may give Sabry’s a second go but the service fee is highly off putting.

Came here for the first time a few days ago and the food was good. It wasn’t bad but needed a little more seasonings to it. They should also add the fish soup with cream. The the staff is very welcoming and quick service. It is hard to find parking! They also have fresh bread that tastes really good and their babaghanoush was amazing as well.

The service is the best all the works were friendly and kind. We went on the busiest day and they were quick. We ordered fried calamari it was delicious and mix sea food that has “ fish, lobster, calamari, shrimp and scallops” the portions were good over all except the he scallops it has only 2 pieces 🥲 and it was so good I feel they just need to balance it in a better way. The atmosphere was good. The prices are reasonable.

Delicious food and fast service. The seafood combo is amazing deal! Only thing is the tip is included on the bill but they tell you! It’s a bit shady

The grilled salmon was exquisite. Crispy and well seasoned. Was a lot of food so you get a bang for your buck. Everything was also extremely fresh and well prepared. Lemonade is a balance of sweet and tart. He did forget to mention there was a difference between entree size and app size so just be specific.

I love seafood and I was in the mood for it, my partner took me out to have seafood and we came across this gem. The food did not disappoint. My partner really enjoyed the tilapia. I enjoyed everything but of course the lobster and shrimps were my favorite. The cocktail drink was so tasty. The salad was so good and seasoned well. We really appreciate the hot tea that was given to us complimentary on the house. I look forward to going back soon

It’s basically a fish market that was transformed into a restaurant. This isn’t a place for looks or ambience. The focus is on the quality of food. If you want excellent seafood then this is the place to try! From the succulent whole grilled lobsters, to the perfectly cooked octopus, it’ll make you enjoy seafood like you never have before. For the drinks with meal people, no liquor is served here. I would recommend this restaurant as an excellent seafood place

5 Stars for service! Super friendly and very attentive wait staff. However, during this time on pandemic, only one wait staff was wearing a mask, everyone else including the kitchen staff were all not wearing one. We contemplated to leave when we noticed that. Food wise, it is definitely very reasonably priced with big portions. If you get the seafood platter for one, it comes with a lobster tail. If you order platter for 2, you’ll get a live lobster from the aquarium. The tagine tasted like marinara sauce with parsley. Side salad and pita bread are complimentary. We ordered the appetizer fried calamari but was charged the main course calamari. I try to write positive reviews and support local businesses but I think restaurants should do their part to keep their customers too and wear a mask; don’t speak over their food with open mouth. I am not posting any pics of the staff due to privacy and safety reasons but let’s do hope they will make it safer for their patrons.

I didn't enjoy my experience there at all and I don't belive I will go there again. The food wasn't tasty or tasted special. Below normal level. Fish wasn't fresh and tasted bad (red mallet) had to return it 😕 rest of the fish (bronzini) weren't even seasoned or well done. Also shrimps weren't tasty as it should be.

WHEN we arrived to SABRYS RESTAURANT IT WAS EMPTY.. NOW we know why!😡 I went to this place with a couple of friends…this restaurant is the WORSE sea food restaurant that I’ve been for my whole life… The Server very lazy and no sense….The seafood was unseasoned, unsalted and the worst a bad taste fishy…WE LEFT ALL FOOD IN THE PLATE. There’s another seafood restaurant next door…all tables were busy and a lot of beautiful plates and the people very happy with their food. WE ORDERED A SEA FOOD AT ABUQIR SEAFOOD NEXT DOOR RESTAURANT…IT WAS REALLY DELICIOUS.
