Great rustic bar ambiance. Their mozzarella cheese pizza was delicious!!!!
Cool vibe, good drinks and good food. They also have defazio’s here, so hey, that’s pretty sweet. Bery cool courtyard area out back. Dig it!
★★★★★ Amazing cocktails and PIZZA! Unbeatable cocktails made by real mixologist's and a rad atmosphere! They have events and live music scheduled regularly and more people need to check this place out. I'm pretty sure the pizza is smuggled in through a prohibition era brick tunnel that connects DeFazio's to Albany Distilling. Go get some tasty pizza a few cocktails and support a unique local business. Five Shiny Stars! ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Charming space with great staff and cocktails. Held the welcome party for my wedding weekend and had an amazing experience. Highly recommend renting out for a private party or just stopping by for a drink!
We hosted our wedding at Albany Distilling and I can not speak highly enough of our experience. Natalie was amazing to work with and the staff were wonderful day of. All of our guests could not stop talking about the drinks, staff, and atmosphere. I would highly recommend for any event!
Very unique building with a patio area surrounded by other the other part of the building. There is also a bar area and indoor seating. We came for trivia and the drinks were great. The pizza next door from DeFazios was excellent.
We had our post-elopement "party" at Albany Distilling Company and could not have been happier with our decision! Natalie (the bar manager) went above and beyond to ensure our celebration was absolutely perfect. She really went the extra mile from the custom drinks, to the easy communication, to seeing our vision through. She is the best! All of our guests (130~ people) RAVED about how great the cocktails were and how kind and QUICK the bar staff was. The space itself is a great background and we spiced it up with some amazing decor from The Balloonary and florals that we put together ourself. In addition to all of that the fact that their in house caterer is Defazio's you really cannot beat it! I would HIGHLY recommend it for your next private event or just to visit for a delicious cocktail whenever you're in town!
The courtyard is amazing and has a really cool vibe and the service is always great. I love that there is a pizza place right next door and you can bring the food into the bar and relax. Their vodka is top notch and I'm always happy to support their business by buying a bottle or two. Their Knickerbocker Tea is quite scrumptious as well!
Great place. I'm from out of town, but saw a bottle at a restaurant in town and decided to try them out. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable about what they make. They also partner with a couple of businesses in town for some specialty liquors as well. The back uard/courtyard is awesome in the summer. Would highly recommend!
Everything here is made in NY. There is a reasonable price for Albany themed cocktails. They serve beer as well. The bar is clean and the bartenders are nice. The Knickerbocker tea (named after the old Albany newspaper) is delicious. The liquor is delicious. They have a private space and they will provide a bartender with an open bar for about 25-35$ person plus tip per hour. Very new establishment. There is an outdoor area in the back that used to be a stable for the old Nabisco Biscuit company in the 1800s. It's a large outdoor area with tons of space. Can't wait to check it out in the summer. Don't let the location put you off. This place is worth visiting for a cocktail.
Went for happy hour. The food wasn’t bad, but not the best. Felt like my chicken was a bit dry. The drinks were good. Overall had an okay experience but not sure if we would return unless for a good happy hour deal
Amazing, large and spacious patio with it's own bar. Inside has its own bar as well as games and plenty of tables. Unfortunately no food, but the great atmosphere and friendly staff certainly make up for it. Parking is on street and unfortunately in a not so great neighborhood (yet). Still very much worth the trip.
Nice little spot for a drink. Beautiful Rustic interior. Those exposed bricks looks beautiful, as well as those windows. The barkeep was professional, and gave us tips about local spots. The collaboration beer with the pumping station was a good call. Best beer I had in Albany during my visit. Great find; I recommend a visit.
I want to be super fair and clear about why and what for the review. Adorable space, kind staff, trivia started while we were there, which was fun if you like that. We ordered pizza next door and then came and found a cute table by the window and waited for the pizza. We were in before our show at Cap Rep. The pizza was super yummy! The staff that helped us with the pizza was super kind. They were honest when dropping off the pizza and apologized for the delay (30+ min wait for our 1-10 inch) something happened— no worries totally ok! I don’t think in that’s typical? Just for us maybe a little glitch but super yum! We just wanted friends going to the show to make sure to leave time for that. So the lower rating is just to let friends know, the two drinks we ordered were great looking! I’m sure it may have been maybe just a different interpretation for the drinks we chose? My friend ordered an extra dirty martini and I got the mango tango. I so wanted to love the cocktail, looked great? It just didn’t taste like what was described on the menu? Very strong but interesting taste? My friend and I both kept trying it but couldn’t drink it? My friends Gin Martini didn’t taste like and gin martini we have ever had? I’m sure it was us but is was super super herbish, floral I’m sure it was just the gin variety maybe? Tasted NOTHING like a dirty martini, we couldn’t drink it it was super harsh and not good at all. Again wanted to love the drinks and the space is super cute! But I guess maybe get something they are known for? I’m sure the other cocktails are great and the mango tango one might just not have been our thing? So the review is really trying to be honest an not give the wrong idea? So $22 for a 10 inch pizza (great portion for friend and I to share!) super yummy! And $30 for two cocktails (with tip) if you’re going before your cap rep show pick something off the menu maybe that’s “safe” or something canned? The cocktails again look great!?maybe just our choice wasn’t our favorite? DO NOT get a gin martini….go for maybe a staple or signature cocktail. Im sure it’s about knowing what to get or what you like? And again very cool cute place just warning those coming who maybe haven’t been. Super convenient spot for the show!
Tried to go to Albany Distillery on a FRIDAY NIGHT—the start of the weekend. They were closed for a private party. No sign on the door and no info on their website. This is a poor business model. Not impressed.
