Best indian food in the bay. Nothing else comes even close to it!
After being their loyal customer for 10+ years, I finally got pictures and write down my review.Their cheese Naan is heavenly. I don’t lie. It is so good that I probably get high eating cheese naan. That’s why I never got a chance taking a picture in so many years. Why now? Because I went during Ramadan, and Naan was ready 2 minutes before sunset. Yay picture time finally! Go enjoy their cheese naan. This is the only place that serves cheese naan like this in the Bay Area.
The food is great! You place your order and other drinks and tableware is self service. Really a pleasant experience. We had appetizer and naan bread along with goat buryani and chicken dish, all very delicious.
Great food and nice service! Really liked the lamb curry and the milk tea.
Their 10-11 dollar lunch comes with two heaps of curries and rice and naan and free masala chai! The food is delicious and I always take half of it home.

Perfect for everyone. I ordered the garlic nan and lamb beryani was very delicious and great customer service. Got my order less than 5 minutes. Reasonable prices. This restaurant will be my go to place. It was my first time here.
Great food, but if they're busy you might have to wait a bit. Two cooks in the kitchen, but on the Saturday night that we were there, they only had one other person to take orders, wait tables, and clean tables. It got a bit hectic, but the food was still worth the wait.
Good place for great food. The family have been coming here for their Indian cuisine and tea. The family favorite is the lamb tikkamasala and the naan. We have been coming here for 14 years now and the food and service have been great and consistent. Recommend it highly.

Prices alright for the quantity but you get what you pay for. FOOD We ordered Lamb Tikka masala, Cheese Naan, and rice. The Tikka masala tasted more like tomato soup but it was still good. The cheese naan is very filling and I liked it a lot as it was thicker than what I'd normally expect SERVICE This place is more of a self-serve place. We had to get our own water, plates, silverware, and drinks. That being said, the tea and sugar was complimentary and serving ourselves wasn't too big a deal. We got our food relatively quickly ATMOSPHERE Place has indoor and the tables outdoors has heating. Nothing too big to write home about As for the pictures. I forgot to take pics until mid eating but this is what we had left. We ended up ordering chicken Tikka on the side and it also tasted more like tomato soup. Still good though

Regular spot for curries and naan. Consistently good. A bit pricey, but worth it

I do not want to be unfair in my assessment of this establishment. The food quality is not great for what they charge. The take-out quantity is not great for what they charge. Each entree is 15-25% more expensive than it should be and they still charge for rice. If you dine in, the experience is pleasant; especially for a group that is willing to eat family style. The high prices will be less noticeable in a group... There are other options nearby that serve better quality Indian food without charging as much. The staff are great. Very nice people in the kitchen and at the register. I do not feel good about speaking ill of their labor. I kind of think they'd agree with me. Sorry but this is like the 12th time I got the chicken tika to-go and basically ended up eating a bowl of tomato sauce with 5 pieces of chicken. $15 for that if you don't buy rice or naan. Yeah.. actuallly- I have to give even fewer stars now. I probably wont be giving these folks my business anymore.

Food was very mid, and I agree with another review that the Tikka tasted like tomato soups from a can. The curry was also not great. The Samosa’s and the Naan were probably the best things we had here. Not saying it was horrible and the worst food I have had, but I wouldn’t com back again. There are way better options in the bay. I will say try it for yourself
Bhindi doesn’t taste fresh and Chicken tiki masala tastes like they used tomato soup from a can. They charge too much for low quality.
I used to like the lamb curry but when I got my food yesterday, it tastes totally different. They used sauce from some other dish and just put lamb meat in it and heat it up. You no longer toast the stew of the slow cooked meat. I won’t be coming back any time soon. I am going to agreed on some of the negative comments about this place. The cost-cutting measures is going to hurt their business.

This is not a biryani. It’s just a white rice with raw turmeric. Worst biryani ever tasted. Not any smell of single biryani’s masala. This was full of bell peppers.
I've loved this place for the last two years. It's been fairly priced, tasty and my favourite. However, the last two times I picked up food from here I had an awfully disappointing experience ( the last time was today). I feel the need to share my experience and urge the people thinking about getting food from here to look for an alternative. During my penultimate visit, the cardboard container with the pakoras was mushy and uncooked. I couldn't eat them and I took this issue as an occasional mistake. Today, I showed up at the time specified by the online order. The person behind the counter did not seem to understand me or have any idea of an order with my name on it. Eventually he told me to wait five minutes. After good 10 min. of wait, watching other orders being deliver, seen my pakoras put in the microwave and subsequently fried them (they were already cooked), watch the guy behind the counter helping with the cooking and pushing my food into the container with bare hands ( same hands used to accept cash); I received my order without any apologies nor the sauces. At home I tried to eat the burned pakoras. I felt disrespected and they managed to put me off curries (I didn't think this would be possible). I obviously made a mistake with this place. So please don't waste your time or money. Avoid it!
I saw here all good reviews, i think today’s my bad day,i ordered chicken tikka masala with garlic naan, thru uber eat, that was big chicken pieces in water, i only eat garlic naan,

The lady cashier is very unprofessional She doesn't know how to welcome and talk to customers. Also the prices on the maniue is deferent than what they charge you on. I ordered a chicken teka curry, and it was OK. 30 June 2024 at 5:50 PM
I was hesitant to write a negative review, this place came highly recommended. However I threw out everything I ordered after trying a couple bites. The samosas were only filled with potatoes (no peas or veg) and had a somewhat unpleasant spice mix. The chicken tikka was tough and sweet, the aloo gobi was also not good to my palate.
We've been ordering from House of Curries for many years but I won't be anymore. The prices have gone way up, the quality is way down and the last straw was the food poisoning my 8 year old just endured. On top of that, the delivery guy said he had to wait 40 minutes for our order. Get your act together, House of Curries!
