Amazing experience. The bartender Lia makes the best drinks and is very attentive and knows her stuff...
Gorgeous restaurant with amazing food and drinks. The staff was very accommodating for a party of 8 without reservations. Excellent service and atmosphere.
Copper Crow recently hosted a company Christmas party for us and our staff had nothing but fantastic things to say about the event. From the food to the atmosphere to the Copper Crow staff, all around we had an amazing experience. The restaurant is spacious but cozy at the same time, and there is plenty of places to mingle in the bar, lounge, and dining area. There was a wide variety of food options to accommodate different dietary wants and needs, and everything we had was delicious. Definitely check them out if you are looking to host a party or even just a dinner out.
Went here for dinner on a Tuesday a few weeks ago. I got the Reuben. I'm not typically a Reuben person, but this one was phenomenal! The little potatoes it was served with were tasty too. Need to try a drink next time. Great date night spot.
- Delicious Craft cocktails - Extensive Whiskey selection - Super chill atmosphere
We attended for a family birthday dinner, the staff were so accommodating and extremely professional. I only wish i remembered our waiters name to call him out and give him the praise he deserves. The food was good, the drinks were great.
Extremely happy with the food and service. Keith was very attentive and respectful. Will definitely be back!!
4.5 Stars – Mother’s Day Delight with Incredible Staff We stopped by The Copper Crow on Mother’s Day with no reservation and were still seated right away at a fantastic table, thanks to the amazing Onix (spelled O-N-I-X!). From the moment we walked in, Onix made us feel welcome and taken care of—an absolute gem. Our server Tracy was equally wonderful—warm, attentive, and full of helpful suggestions. She recommended the mushroom risotto (not quite my favorite), but the roasted cauliflower was absolutely delicious. Tracy’s kindness and professionalism made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. We also had a great interaction with Jason, who was super friendly and checked in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves—just a really nice guy who clearly cares about the guest experience. And shoutout to Kailey—spelled K-A-I-L-E-Y—who made me one of the best chocolate martinis I’ve ever had. She clearly knows what she’s doing behind the bar. The mimosas were also fantastic, and the wine and beverage list is enormous—a real highlight. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, and there’s convenient parking, which always earns extra points. Only downside? The menu could use more variety. It felt a little limited, especially for a spot with such a great setting and staff. Still, I left happy, a little buzzed on chocolate martinis and mimosas, and grateful for a lovely Mother’s Day. Onix, Tracy, Jason, and Kailey made it memorable—we’ll definitely be back.
This place is absolutely amazing! The drinks are superb, food is great, service on point! My wife and I have been 4 times now for date night and leave full and happy everytime! It is rather expensive, our bill for the food and drinks just for the 2 of us is around $200-$250 with tip included. But in my opinion it's well worth the money spent. I usually get the crab stuffed haddock and my wife likes her steaks. Try the blackberry sour without the smoked sage, it's friggen amazing!
I felt like I got a plate from home with gourmet food on it. The Chef's should be proud of themselves. The drinks were not what I was expecting, before I knew it I had three. Believe it or not, it was my server that left the best impression. She noticed my garnish in my drink was wrong, tiny detail that was easily missed and she caught it. Great place, will being going again.
This was our first time here, my wife took us for Father's Day Lunch!! I've been dying to get here & oh man it was worth the wait!! We started with the Crab Rangoon dip, could eat that by the bucket full, lol!! I got the Ropa Vieja, I'll just the meat was so tender & the depth of flavor was deep & rich!! The rice that comes with it also had an amazing depth of flavor!! My wife got the Reuben which she said was simply amazing, I tasted it & agree!! We ordered a side of their fingerling potatoes for our son, which were tender & had good flavor, as did that Aji Verde sauce that came with them!! Our server(Hannah?) was very friendly & extremely attentive, she was great!!! The place big, clean & has a cool vibe to it & we loved the way the aesthetics to it!! We are definitely coming back very soon!!
Very impressed. The service was exceptional and the food was great. We started with the Manchurian cauliflower which was unique and very good. My wife’s burger was well seasoned and cooked as requested. I had the catfish sandwich and loved it. Both came with fried fingerling potatoes which were perfectly cooked and not at all greasy. I only hope next time I come I can try the duck bahn mi because they were out last night. Fortunately our server guided me to that awesome catfish sandwich
Incredible food, did 2 small plates and WOW! The calamari pairing with the pineapple garlic sauce so good. Wonton wrapped mozzarella sticks with harissa tomato paste also GREAT. Beer menu filled with beer staples. Prairie Bomb, St Bernardius ABT 12 and Maine Lunch. Also had the something Boulebard signature cocktail that was really tasty. Great service although we sat in the "lounge" came with napkins, silverware, plates, checked in. Coming back for entrees.
Great spot! Drinks were excellent, the food was tasty, and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
The food at Copper Crow has really elevated since Chef Gordon has become Executive Chef. I highly recommend you go and try the Coconut Curry Salmon... Unbelievable! Albany finally has a gift.
It’s too bad they only have five star ratings. This one deserves a six star. Jason has done a magnificent job and continues to do so. I’ve had dinner with friends and familyat the Copper Crow about five times and Intend to continue. Find dining with a great atmosphere and people… Best around. Enjoy.
Found this gem of a restaurant. It is nicely decorated and the staff was very friendly. Our waitress Julie was attentive to a food allergy and very accommodating! (Truly appreciative) Chickpea salad was so tasty. The steak was delicious. Fingerling potatoes was awesome as well. Too full for dessert. A must try!
I loved it. Super interesting menu mixing a few different cuisines. I was skeptical at first because it's hard to mix German with Asian but they do a great job. The Tom yum spaetzel was awesome. Great servers. Nice looking place. Good prices. Great drinks. I loved it. Would return.
First great thing - there was parking, second - food was delicious and the third service - server was amazing attentive to the requests and professional.
Amazing experience! I have gone there for multiple types of occasions and they have always accommodated each event! The staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. The service and food are consistent and something you can rely on and expect every single time! The drink menu is incredible and the food menu, as it changes with the seasons is remarkable. The Copper Crow is your go to getaway in the Capital Region!
The service and cocktails were excellent, but it would be helpful if the business updated their hours on Google, especially for Sundays. It currently says they're open until 12am, but we were given the check around 8pm and told they were closing soon. It was a bit confusing.
Wonderful! My kids and I are in from out of town and we have dietary restrictions that include: celiac, vegan, and a picky 8 year old. They accommodated everything and the food was the best we’ve had out in a very long time (we have high standards and usually cook at home). I absolutely love that there was tofu on the menu - as a vegan, I greatly appreciate it!!!
Out for a business dinner, the environment was excellent, the Staff was above average. The food was a showstopper! Folks, if you’re looking for a place that does affordable amazing cocktails, this is your place!! My cocktail was so good that I had a second one. Appetizers: cauliflower, Brussels Were exceptional covered in Parmesan cooked with pistachios And other delicious nuggets; So good we ordered a second one! Seared tuna appetizer, excellent! — Dinner salads were plentiful and carefully crafted, we also had an entrée of a street Corn pasta and others. Dynamite spot. Get here!
The Copper Crow is one of my and my partner's favorite restaurants in Albany. It's a first choice for a special occasion when we want something nice. Their dishes, including "The Burger", have really interesting and high-quality ingredients, and they are rather accommodating and polite about allergies, which I appreciate. And of course, the fried fingerling potatoes are an incredible side!
Frankie was amazing! I had the fingerling potatoes and fish tacos. I appreciate how much patience you displayed with my questions you are the best.
Great place to stop for a drink! We came in quite loud and fast, immediately asking for some top notch drinks and the bartenders didn't skip a beat. They served us calmly and smoothly while making sure we got what we wanted without overserving or letting us drink $100+ whiskey and dashing (which apparently is a thing that people do?). Would definitely go back here for the drinks and atmosphere, in a large group or for a small date night, I highly recommend it.
I was skeptical. I am not a fan of most of the places on Broadway. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Copper Crow. The building has been beautifully restored. The food was delicious and fresh, the prices reasonable. Most importantly, our server, Hannah, was exceptional. She was friendly, conscientious and after I told her my dietary restrictions she went above and beyond to accommodate me.i definitely recommend the Copper Crow. I will go back again.
The Copper Crow was perfect for our crew of four. My brother wanted a tonic with a small amount of alcohol - perfect. The water was replenished by carafe - perfect. We started with this special shared appetizer that everyone enjoyed- oerfect. My bud Carl said his Rueben was a best ever. My brother and Mike each had some odd sandwich. They both enjoyed it - perfect. I ordered a very unusual meatloaf with greens & garlic mashed potatoes. It was pretty good and a generous portion - I'll say close to perfect. Overall - winner !
Service was great considering there was on one server for a large floor. Both mojitos I ordered were awesome. The food itself was spectacular and well presented. Overall this was a great experience
Lia was my server & she was a pleasure. Professional, attentive and very nice. She made sure I was taken care of the entire time I was there & she made my experience very enjoyable. Also she’s gorgeous, easy to talk to and good to be around. I’ll be back for the vibes for sure. Drinks were good & food was good as well.
We were pleasantly surprised by this hip, upscale brewery in Albany. Stopped for lunch and I highly recommend the seafood Newport chowder as a starter. I got the Cubano melt with fries and it was incredible. Portions are very large so I ended up taking half my sandwich home (love that I got a second meal out of my order). The real surprise was the drink selection! Great place for a beer or cocktail. Copper Crow was a hit!
I went here because my wife likes Moscow mules in a copper mug. I figure we would get some bar food while we were there. I am a foodie, I know what I’m looking at and I know what it takes to make a good meal. I was NOT expecting this. Calamari that melts in your mouth, not rubbery. My wife’s steak was superb, perfectly rendered fat bathed in a delicious seasoning. I ordered a duck confit sandwich, because why wouldn’t you if given the chance? It was INCREDIBLE. The SIDES to the dishes were masterful. I took one bite and knew that it wasn’t a line cook making this food, it was a chef and a lot of help. Take all my money Jason and the crew at the copper crow…and don’t change a thing…oh…and amazing staff and atmosphere as well!!
This is a place that my husband and I will definitely be returning to. We were seated by owner in front of some really cool artwork which he told us some of the backstory about as well as some cool history of the building! The artwork on the outside of the building is also by that same artist and it is just too cool. Our server was incredibly friendly and checked in with us the perfect number of times. 👌🏼 The real star is of course THE FOOD! We didn’t wait long enough to snap a picture of our Thai Beef appetizer, but it was so beautiful and packed with flavor! The perfect size for us to share. My husband got the Duck Bahn Mi (the reason we had decided to go there lol) and it was definitely the favorite of everything we had. It was just so delicious! I got The Burger which was almost as good as the Duck Bahn Mi. The addition of lamb to the patty really elevated the burger experience. We enjoyed everything so much that we even decided to get desert, which is quite rare for us. We got the Fried Fruit Pies and holy cow were the great! They come with two so again, perfect to share. We also couldn’t believe how fair the prices were. With quality of food, service and ambience, we expected it to be a pricier bill, but instead we got it all, plus a beer each for $81 before tip. I can’t say enough good things about The Copper Crow. Everything on the menu looks so fun and delicious, so we’ll definitely be back to try more!
There's many places in this area where you can eat and drink. So this visit was a "try out" with a buddy and I. Soooo glad we stopped to eat. I got the Nashville hot cat fish sandwich and nothing but compliments across the board! My buddy got the seafood chower and steak sandwich... Highly recommend you trying this place out. If you enjoy beer - you'll have a selection to choose from, if you like cocktails the bartenders know exactly how to make a perfected drink! Now I will say - the only negative was the bartender my buddy and I had - semi great service hence the 4* service rating and definitely looked like she didn't really want to serve us. I say this because I witnessed others walk in and she was happy go lucky with them. I've worked on the industry for YEARS so im never disrespectful or rude or anything... We tipped 20% but with that kind of service I can go elsewhere with MUCH better service. Copper crow definitely worth the try!!
Swung by after a show for a drink, so delicious, had great service by John. We loved his personality and his expertise helping us decide our drinks.
Went to Copper Crow for the first time last night and had the best experience with our server and food, along with the warm ambiance! I believe our servers name was Sharon (or Shannon) and she was so LOVELY!! She really helped make the night anmazing and was so sweet and attentive! 💕 Excellent experience and will be back!!
The Copper Crow is an absolute must-visit in Albany! The menu is creative and packed with bold flavors, and every dish is beautifully plated. The cocktails are expertly crafted, with unique combinations that perfectly complement the food. The staff is attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do, making the whole experience feel special. The warm, stylish atmosphere makes it great for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner. Truly one of Albany’s standout dining spots!
I’ve been here a few times, once we sat at a table, another time at the bar, and another time in the lounge for a birthday gathering. Everytime was equally amazing! The service is great, everyone is very attentive. The food this AMAZING!! As someone with a gluten allergy it can be super challenging to find good food and be confident that I won’t be sick. This place is great so sooo reassuring! They have so many options and are soo knowledgeable.
Lia, bartender, is fabulous. She knows by what you order, what you may like off the drink menu. Thats rare that true bartenders know. The atmosphere is speakeasy. The inside is gorgeous..the outside makes you wonder.
The food here is excellent. Our server didn't come by as much as we like so we sat waiting for our check, water refills etc. And it was very loud. With a little baffling on the walls or easily hidden in the ceiling this wouldn't be an issue. It's a charming ambiance though and the host was extra charming and helpful. It is definitely a place to visit despite the very small negatives.
Went with some friends to Copper Crow in Albany this evening, and we had a great time from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the building itself added to the experience, and the service was fantastic. We started with appetizers like calamari and seafood chowder, and everything was excellent. Our dinners were just as good, and we even ordered dessert because we didn’t want the night to end. The drinks were fantastic, and our server was attentive, friendly, and made the whole evening even better.
Lovely experience dining at the Copper Crow. Every dish was bursting with flavor. Loved the pistachios on the Brussels sprouts and the cauliflower can only be described as masala meets sweet and sour. It was so good! The chickpea salad with tofu was light and refreshing - the tofu had a wonderful wood-fired aroma. My personal favorite of the entrees was the Korean bbq short rib, which was packed with flavor. Cocktails were also wonderful and not too sweet, which is just how I like them. The “rose is a rose” was perfectly refreshing.
The Albany area has so many restaurants but so few stand out. This restaurant is definitely one of those. Phenomenal. They *get* flavor at this place. Every bite was a delight and I actually can’t wait to come back and try more dishes. The Thai beef soba noodle salad was the most balanced, delicious dish of that type I have ever had, period. This place is a must visit.
The staff are impeccable!! We were served by Tracy and she is a gem! She was knowledgeable about the food and drink options . The service was quick and attentive. I would recommend this location for anyone visiting Albany! The food is top notch . The decor is modern and comfortable! Well done Copper Crow team !
I loved this place. The ambience is awesome and food is very good. Portions are big and the fries were so good! We had a burger (very regular, it was good), the Korean short rib was very good, meat was very soft and tasty and it does comes with a bunch of things (rice, some kind of bread), pollo a la brasa was very very spicy, it was good but we weren’t expecting it to be so spicy, and the Korean cheesesteak was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, no cap.
I ordered the street corn pasta since that’s one of my favorite dishes on their menu, it tasted amazing and was super filling. However my friends burger was extremely dry and had no flavor at all to it. The potatoes that came with it were very hard too. I felt guilty for having such a nice meal and they didn’t and barely touched their food. Our waitress didn’t come by to ask how the food was once and we never got a refill on our water. I’ll be back, but hoping for a better overall experience next time.
Had a great night! Vibes and music were lovely! Food was delicious! Tracy was so sweet and had amazing recommendations, I’m pretty picky and she was very accommodating! Especially with the sauce selection ;) Definitely will be back!
Had an incredible birthday dinner at The Copper Crow for my sister! Our waitress Danna was AMAZING providing excellent, kind and timely service. Along with great humor 😂 All of the food was great and I recommend trying anything and everything! For this special night we had the following: Appetizers: Manchurian Cauliflower Bites, Brussel sprouts, Friend Calamari and Eggplant Caponata Mains: Ropa Vieja and Ribeye Steak Dessert: Flourless Chocolate Cake and Dulce de Leche Cake (not in photos, too tasty 😋) And a few tasty drinks, the specialty cocktails were delicious, as well as the 1856 premium whiskey 🫠 Highly recommend!
I can't say enough about how incredible our experience was at The Copper Crow. We needed to make it happen in under an hour, and the team absolutely delivered. Our drinks and food were on the table in just 10 minutes – talk about speed! But it wasn't just fast service; the food was PHENOMENAL, bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. And the drinks? Even better! Every sip was a delight. This place definitely earns a 100-star review in my book. Can't wait to return!
What a gem in downtown Albany! We were about to leave the area the head back to our home state when I decided to search for a place to have lunch with good cocktails. I wondered how many people will not get a chance to visit because they may not pass by that part of the city. The Copper Crow had really cool vibes inside and an interesting menu to match! I loved the lamb and beef mixed burger, the catfish tacos, the cauliflower bites, and my blackberry sour. Friendly service, clean restrooms, plenty of parking, and an overall great atmosphere. In fact, we found ourselves lingering a while before we realized we needed to get back on the road since we had hours left to drive...
Fun, stylish, upscale brewery. I was on my way to Boston driving on I-90 and I wanted to have dinner at a classic diner. The diner was closed so I decided to continue driving through the downtown Albany and look for another restaurant. I searched for restaurants and saw The Copper Crow pop up on the map. It sounded like a hipster place and figured it had creative brews and food and it did not disappoint!
Ambiance was lovely, service was good, and food was awesome. The Brussel sprouts were on the specials menu and were delicious. They were crispy but still had body and crunch to them! So good. Main entrees were also delicious. I had the ribs which were not very tender but had great flavor. The kimchi collared greens are genius and the addition of the corn bread perfectly takes down the heat. The Ropa Vieja was delicious and decadent. The one complaint we had was that the beans lacked character! Everything was stellar and we’re excited to return.
The duck banh mi with the taro chips was delicious and they sat me where I wanted to sit, which was great. I have noticed that some of the menu items that they had when I was last here have been taken away for some reason….maybe customers were not ordering them? Overall the waitress was nice and I would recommend this restaurant/bar!
Excellent experience although they didn't know how to make long island iced teas.. would definitely go again
Sunday evening seriously understaffed. Waited 1.5 hours for our food. The waitress said the had 1 bar tender and 1 chef. The house manger could have helped but sat at the bar doing nothing. Might want to limit the number of customers you allow in to ensure you don't stress out staff. Cute place and really good food.
Extensive drinks list, imaginative menu. Food well presented. Staff attentive. Despite restaurant only about 1/4 full set us next to a very loud table. We could not hear each other speak.
I had a pretty great experience, so did my party of three. From the moment you enter your greeted by a very friendly and professional staff. The table as well as the area was very clean and presentable. Which is something you cant always say for most restaurants these days during the late rush. The best part of the night was when My main order wasn't up to standard. My Seafood Jambalaya was lacking flavor and a good portion of seafood wasn't present. It took no time at all before my waitress and the manager were at my table to rectify the issue with kindness, professionalism and understanding. We came to a great resolution and continued on with the night the rest of the food was great, the flavors were hitting all the right notes, presentation was just outstanding and above all the desert sealed the deal. The cheesecakes left us wanting more ( Sorry Cheesecake Factory). I can't state this enough even with a mishap I was still left with a very positive out look on the Copper Crow and definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking to have a good time.
Not from the area, had a recommendation to go to The Copper Crow, and it was a good choice. The food was good, service was as well. Bartender also did a great job on the cocktails. One strange quirk there is their reso seating software. They seem to seat everyone right next to an existing table at the back of the empty restaurant. Other than that, it was great.
very interesting menu. Asian American fusion it seems like. the mushroom spetzel appetizer was amazing. definitely recommend getting that. also the steak and fries was good. very kids friendly staff, both to our child and others. the decor was beautiful. we loved the different types of lighting and exposed beams. the complimentary valet was much appreciated as it stormed during dinner. the drinks were excellent. love the touch of getting a postcard with the bill.
Been a minute since I've been in this area of Albany. A foodie spot to check out. Met up with friends and a great interior atmosphere. Solid drink menu. A good number and variety of sandwich/burger options vs main entree. Prices standard for the quality and creativity on the menu. Off street parking lot next to the restaurant which is nice. Would go back!
Nicely decorated restaurant with a fun history. It was busy for a Wednesday night and loud as happy hour was winding down. Food is pricey. Everyone in my party had a sandwich. The fingerling potatoes are delish. The Korean beef sandwich is very good but stay away from the duck ba'me. Service was good. We got in and out in time for a concert at the MVP arena.
This was our first visit, and overall, we had a great experience! The atmosphere was beautiful — upscale without feeling pretentious, and I loved the historic photos of the town throughout the space. The drinks were creative and delicious. I tried the Strawberry Passion Fruit Sakerita, which was fabulous, though a bit on the pricey side. The only downside was the bar service, which felt a little cold, but otherwise everything was very enjoyable. I’d definitely come back for the vibe and cocktails!
Had a pre-show dinner here tonight, and overall wasn't too bad. The food is upscale bar-food, burgers looked good, but no fries! I had a catfish sandwich - good, but a little spicy for my taste. I'm sure there are those out there that will love it. Would have liked a side of slaw of some kind. Fingerling potatoes were surprisingly good.
This was the first time I tried this place and honestly am only writing a review so management knows how great their staff is. We sat at the bar and immediately felt at home with the friendly staff. It was a busy Saturday night but they always had our drinks full and were fun to chat with. The food on the other hand was just eh. We got the cauliflower shared plate, it was ok but just really a saucy mess. The calamari was a very small portion and wasn’t crispy at all. The star of the show was the cheesy egg rolls. Those were tasty! I would return but honestly only because the staff was such a great bunch of people.
It was definitely ok of an experience to go but not sure I’ll be back. The waitress didn’t seem to care much about serving our table or she just didn’t care to be there at all. The burger was decent but the calamari was very lacking. For the price, they were very thin and small with a nasty sauce on the side
Food was sub par the steak in particular left a lot To be desired . Very salty side dishes , would definitely go again hoping For a better outcome everything else was good
Pictured below are The Burger and Korean BBQ ribs. The Copper Crow feels like an upscale place, but may not be quite there with the execution yet. Both dishes had excellent flavors: the parts are all there. Food tasted fresh across the board. The "cook" on both meats unfortunately were not quite up to par... the burger, ordered medium, came out cooked completely gray and borderline dry. The ribs were tough and chewy. Sides were fantastic (cole slaw and fingerling potatoes). Beer on tap were of good quality and delicious. The Copper Crow obviously puts a lot of emphasis on presenting different cuisines' highlights on their menu. The idea is fantastic, and it would fill a void that the closing of New World Bistro has left in the Albany culinary space... but the offerings here are not quite where they need to be in order to command "upscale" pricing. The flavors show potential, but the final plate misses the finesse and creativity that would make the menu more appealing at current price points.
Good parking. Nice ambiance. Went for my birthday. The menu looked great and I loved the fusion, but the execution didn't live up to expectations. The flavors were really mild, to the point of being bland. I think the sandwiches may be the better items to get off the menu, as the chicken katsu sandwich was good. The flavor and portions weren't worth the price overall though. I'd have preferred spending the money somewhere else.
Going here we expected an eclectic menu but upon ordering the Tom Yum Shrimp, Harissa Cavatelli, the Sushi Roll salad and the Ribeye we were underwhelmed and a bit disappointed. For me the Harissa was too spicy not indicated on the menu that it would be. The Tom Yum was too experimental and tasted weird to most of our party. The Sushi salad was the biggest disappointment being a huge bowl of mostly lettuce and ginger and hardly any salmon. The ribeye was the only dish really enjoyed. Service was average our drinks were refilled timely and we were given 2 pitchers of water at the start which were needed. But for the price we paid for our dishes we were left unsatisfied. Also the wait was exceptionally long as we waited 45min-1hour between ordering our mains and receiving them.
Let's start with the positive, the atmosphere was great! It's wasn't too busy, actually it was quite empty when we were there, which would make you assume that service should be quick, catering and prompt. Unfortunately, the food took more than a half an hour to be served and the amount of time it took for the waitress to take our order, deliver our drinks and food was very disappointing. We ordered the [Cubano] special, banh mi and the salmon salad. The salad was okay, the banh mi was fine, but the cubano was below average - wayyy too much mustard, completely took away from the rest of the sandwich. Sad to say the overall experience was very disappointing. We received many sorrys but no compensation. Would not recommend.
Made a big deal when we needed an extra chair. Took over 20 min to get menus then 20 more min for a single round of drinks. Steak in my Korean steak and cheese sandwich was completely burnt to a crisp all the way through, borderline inedible. Even if it wasn't burnt, the rest of the sandwich was not flavorful. Too much bread and cheese and was not balanced. Wouldn't have been good regardless. Short rib was dry and not well seasoned. Potatos and mozzarella wontons were pretty good. Automatic 20% gratuity brought my share to $43 without even ordering a drink. Will not be returning
So .. this was the second time I was here, first time I had food and drinks with a few friends and overall it was an ok night. I was there the other night after work and interacted with several members of the staff, all of which had that I needed to smile, but don't want to cause you aren't a regular. The one thing I am is always transparent in my experiences, and while I don't wanna dog any place that works hard to stay open and do the right thing, I did not have a good experience this time. Bartenders seemed offended when I asked their names as to personalize the experience. Funny thing is as a former bartender I always wanted to get my patrons names, and "get to know them"... Well not here. The establishment is just not for me, and unless I have a work outing I won't go out of my way to give them my business. I won't knock you for trying the place at all, maybe you will have a better experience then I did. See you somewhere else! Vin Vin
This place had great reviews online, but it was really only average. First of all I had reservations at 6 o’clock on a Saturday and we were sat at a tiny, uncomfortable table in the very back closest to the kitchen. We asked to be moved and were moved to a high top. Only then did I notice that there were tons of open booths that weren’t reserved. I just thought that the whole seating arrangement was rather bizarre. The drinks were fantastic, but the food was nothing special— disappointing given the price point. Our server was lovely though so good job on your staff.
Cute ambience, decent parking, but that can’t make up for the mid/subpar food. Calamari was gooey. The pork belly in my bao bun was the thinnest slice of pork belly I’ve ever had. It was literally like bacon. It’s apparent that their favorite seasoning is salt.
Was really looking forward to this place and was very disappointed. Our server disappeared mid meal and we waited forever for someone to realize and take our food order. The $50 steak was not good. The $35 stuffed haddock was cold, mashed potatoes cold so we asked for it to hot. Came back 2nd time plate was still cold as it took forever for them to heat it up..I didnt even eat it after that. Apparently gratuities is included for a table of 5? Just very strange and disappointing experience.
The Good: The place really looks amazing. I loved the look of the building with the crows painted on the walls. The inside has a great atmosphere, great lighting, great decor. (Booths could have been a bit more comfortable) We started with a couple of signature cocktails which were both pretty good. The Bad: Crab cakes tasted okay but were served to us still a bit cold in the middle. Still the best food we had all night. The Catfish tacos were bland with stale tortillas and felt like they might have just came from a frozen bag of catfish nuggets. I've had much better catfish tacos at much cheaper restaurants. It was also served on a bed of super wilted arugula. We were laughing about it since we weren't planning on eating it. The falafel salad was a surprisingly large portion but the falafel was inedible. I ate one out of the three pieces. (I eat falafel usually once a week in different restaurants as I travel a lot for work and these were by far the worst I've ever had. In fact the first time I ever cooked falafel myself it was better by far) the sauce seemed like it might have just been plain unflavored yogurt. I dont like to waste food so I tried to eat around the sauce and falafel. The cauliflower had okay flavor (not great) but we didn't care for the texture. Might have been better if it was more crispy. The calamari wasnt great either. Neither of us liked the dipping sauce and we felt it could have been fried longer. We were excited to try this place but it was frankly terrible. To be fair it was New Year's day so we thought maybe the chef had the day off and they were just heating up food. For the price there are tons of way better restaurant options in the area. I won't be back.
Glad we had 7 pm reservations on the weekend because the place was hopping when we arrived. We kicked off our dining experience with the generously proportioned Wonton Rolls, though they left something to be desired. The rolls, unfortunately, were somewhat bland and lacked the anticipated crispiness. The accompanying sauce, rather than enhancing the dish as an adjunct, felt more like a necessity to elevate the overall flavor profile. The main courses, The Dry Aged Pork and the Wandering Cowboy (ribeye steak) left much to be desired in terms of flavor. Despite their ample servings, both meats leaned towards blandness, missing the opportunity to captivate the palate with a more robust and savory profile. Just as hope wavered, the dessert arrived, rescuing the meal from the abyss of mediocrity. The apple pie was more of a Apple fritter donut like dessert, but it was a delightful conclusion to an otherwise lackluster dinner. In addition to the culinary lows, the service, although commendable, had its drawbacks. The waitress, though friendly, seemed overly eager and brought out the dishes with surprising promptness. While efficiency is appreciated, the rushed service detracted from the intended leisurely dining experience. The overall impression was further dimmed by the underwhelming performance of the cocktails. Sadly, they failed to deliver on the establishment's promise of expert craftsmanship, tasting more like commonplace concoctions found in any bar. In summary, The Copper Crow presents a tale of mixed experiences. The dessert stood out as a favorite, and we appreciated the nice food proportions. However, the lackluster performance of the appetizer, pork, steak, and uninspiring cocktails created a notable imbalance. Despite the friendly service, the overall taste of the food falls short of inspiring a return visit, compounded by the rushed manner in which the dishes were served.
Went to Copper crow for a dinner date and was served nothing but disappointment... We ordered drinks then received them, put in our appetizers order only to never see or hear from our waitress again. After 45 min of empty drinks and plates did we call a different waiter over to check on our appetizers. Once she put our order in did we get greasy under cooked brussel sprouts. Not once did we get checked on for drinks or food again till I waved down someone for the check.. Mind you, there were 9 tables seated and it took over an hour to get a bite of food. Never will I be held as a hungry hostage at the Copper Pigeon again
I'd like to say I tried the food, but the restaurant called us the night before our reservation to cancel on us, even though we had made the reservation two weeks ahead of time. I guess they preferred to do a private party and cancel the others.
From the moment we walked in we got such bad vibes. I went here today with my parents and my sister to celebrate Mother’s Day. My parents and I live about 5 hours away from each other. We both decided to drive towards each other to celebrate Mother’s Day together so we each drove about 2.5 hours and this was our meeting point. When we walked in we weren’t greeted. an employee finally came over to talk to us and as my sister began telling him we had a reservation he yelled in her face “WHATS THE NAME” super loud. We didn’t think much of it and laughed it off. Then when we were seated at our table, one of the tables they put together was extremely wobbly. I asked the same employee if we could fix it so it wasn’t shaking so much. He rolled his eyes and yelled at me “GIVE ME A SECOND”. We all got quiet and weren’t sure how to react. He came back and moved us to a much nicer table right next to us. At this point we ordered some drinks and began browsing the menu. After about 10 minutes with the menu the waitress comes over and informs us that they had a few things they were out of and proceeded to list off half the menu! I was shocked since it was Mother’s Day you’d think they would be ready for that or have some kind of fixed menu with what they did have available. We still wanted to give it a try and put our order in. About 3 minutes later the waitress comes back and tells us that 2 out of 5 of the dishes we ordered were also sold out. One of which was my dads. He’s a picky eater and was made to feel forced to order a burger he didn’t want. At this point we’re all having a horrible time. We ended up paying for our drinks and cancelling the food order. The waitress was very apologetic and sweet but the man who kept yelling at us and treating us like we were a burden put a very sour taste in our mouths. I’m sure the food was probably great but the service was horrible. As someone who has been in high end restaurants for over ten years I’ve never walked out from a place before because I always give it a chance. But not having more than half the menu available was the last straw. If you know your gonna be slammed for a national holiday maybe make a set menu for that day or don’t open at all. Ended up going to a chain restaurant and had the time of our lives.
Two of us went to have dinner. There were empty tables, and some seats at the bar. The hostess said no tables and the only seats available were at the bar. She said we could eat at the bar and sit there, order drinks and wait 45 minutes to order dinner. If we could order drinks why couldn't we order food too. No thanks to the no-hospitality!
