oh my god so worth the hype. the tomato cream cheese bagel is the stuff of my dreams. the texture of the bagel is perfect and toasted beautifully. the smooth and rich cream cheese combined with the acidity from the beautiful beefsteak tomato is like heaven in your mouth. i would eat this everyday for the rest of my life if i could.
Bagel was fresh and delicious, definitely very unique and flavorful 🙏🏼✨ Would come back soon to try more kinds!
Sinfully delicious bagels! Incredibly well risen dough, almost like sourdough, hearty and chewy without being overly dense. The everything bagel was perfectly seasoned. I don't usually enjoy bagels at all, but I've been getting cravings for these weeks later! Delightfully generous on the cream cheese - HIGHLY recommend the scallion, which was absolutely delicious. Appreciated how they have a simple and stripped back menu, but they get every part of it right. No lines in the morning around 8:30am, so would recommend going for breakfast to avoid the queues.
Don’t come for me, but Apollo Bagel is elite. I went to the Williamsburg location. There was a small line, but it moved fast. I ordered the tomato and cream cheese on an everything bagel and honestly… it slaps!!! The bagel had the perfect crunch-to-soft ratio. Not too dense, not too airy. The heirloom tomato slices were fresh and ripe, finished with an olive oil drizzle and cracked pepper that pulled everything together. Simple and delicious! Obsessed!!
Just landed in nyc. Super hyped to be here. My cousin recommended this spot so I went. It’s pretty cold outside, definitely not used to the cold. It feels like Tahoe when it snows. I think it’s just all snowy weather. But regardless, I got the salmon sandwich. Really good. I liked how they prepared the bagel. It was crispy but inside a bit more chewy. The salmon was great. I also like the sauce they put on. It had a nice acidity to it which cuts through the fat very nicely. The cream cheese was good, not a lot but a decent amount. My Beli gave it a 7.7 and I think it could be higher but overall very solid. Definitely a great place to go!
Everything bagel was crispy, and the cream cheese was light and not too rich, which I really liked. It was a bit crowded during lunchtime. 📅 Visited on 3 Jan 2026 w/o reservation 🍽️ Ordered Everything w/ Scallion Cream Cheese and Tomato USD8 Fresh Orange Juice USD6.50 💸 Total USD15.78 (Subtoal USD14.50)
Casual setting. Quick and friendly service. Today was my first time trying their bagel- I had an everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese. As a new yorker I've had many good bagels throughout my lifetime. This bagel was GREAT. A solid 10/10 rating. It was the perfect texture with a soft filling and crisp outside. Perfect amount of cream cheese and solid scallion flavor. Honestly I was very impressed and will be returning.
My daughter loves this bagel spot but I was skeptical because I'm more of an egg and sausage kind of guy. Still, we took her advice on a recent trip and I was blown away. Be warned, that they have a limited menu beyond a bagel with cream cheese / butter, but that didn't ruin our experience. They have a tomato or salmon option and we tried both, equally enjoying both. A lot of bagel places with slather cream cheese to the point where you can literally tub the extras for home, but not this place. So if a bagel overflowing with cream cheese is your thing, be warned. BUT, the lack of filling did nothing to detract from the bagel experience. It was a tasty, balanced flavor. I really loved the dill pieces on the salmon bagel and the bagel itself was the star. Toasty, crunchy, soft and warm. PERFECT! Stop by to have a great bagel.
Topping I liked the most was the tomato. They somehow got the tomato to be savory and taste/feel like an egg. Coming in second is the smoked salmon. I wouldn’t get the white fish since it’s too salty. The place was spacious and the line moved quickly for a Sunday morning. We went to this bagel place twice this trip just for that tomato. The first time the bagel was perfectly crispy, second time less so. I’d ask them to brown it a little more next time
Everyone has hyped this place up, and honestly, it lived up to the expectations. The bagel is a work of art. It’s made fresh, thin, well flavored, and the ratio of bagel to cream cheese is perfect. The toppings were fresh and incredible. Staff was helpful in ordering as well. Place gets busy (for obvious reasons), so aim to find a seat if you are with someone.
My favorite, and from an unbiased perspective, the best bagels in NYC. Even a plain sourdough bagel is glorious to behold, and just listen to the crackle! If it’s not the most classic, then so sue me, I don’t want the most classic. Also I’m addicted to the lox on a sesame bagel. Help.
Their bagels are the best toasted bagels I’ve ever had in my life. They just made it hard for us to find this same level of toasted bagels back in our hometown.😅 We ordered 2 opened sandwiches: Tomatoes ($7) and Smoked Salmon ($15). Tomatoes ones are the MVP for us. The bagel is toasted till crunchy. Tomatoes are sweet and just a little sour. Top with olive oil, black pepper and salt. They are just the best combinations. Smoked salmon one also tasty with a balance between Salmon, cream cheese and red onion. It was just as good as it looked but nothing beyond expectation.
Visiting Brooklyn? Make Apollo Bagels your first stop. Their smoked salmon is out-of-this-world, velvety, flavorful, and easily among the best I’ve ever had. Wash it down with their crisp lemonade infused with a subtle kick of ginger, and you’ll be set for the day. The staff is quick, the space is spotless, and the AC is cranking (a blessing in the summer heat). Whether you’re exploring the neighborhood or just looking for a great bite, this place is a must-try.
It is definitely worth the hype! These bagels were fantastic fresh and tasty. We had to wait about 20 minutes in line. They said it would be longer. It went very fast so don’t be turned away by that… a few people left because of it but they are organized and quick. There’s a nice park across the street so we went there to eat them. Don’t miss out on this gem! Loved the salmon and cream cheese with capers and fresh dill and the tomato and cream cheese. Yummmmm!
This is my third time back and I can say with full confidence that this place has consistent quality and excellent service every single time. Staff is very kind and seating is clean and spacious. 10/10 bagel shop; I rank the freshly squeezed orange juice as my all time favorite in New York City :) This is my bagel ranking here so far: 1. Cream cheese & tomato 2. Jelly & butter 3. Smoked Salmon 4. Everything with scallion cream cheese
Not your typical bagel shop, but as a lifelong New Yorker, I know bagels, and these were fantastic. Normally I would never get my bagel toasted, but I just went with what they were offering, and it was crispy and crunchy and oh so good. You have to get the everything bagel. Is there ever any other choice? The whitefish seemed salty, but it all went together. I was surprised to see dill on the salmon, but it worked. No atmosphere but plenty of tables and a working bathroom.
I had been seeing a lot of buzz about Apollo Bagels and finally decided to check it out. Walking in, I have to admit the overall vibe and aesthetic were really cute definitely one of those spots where you don’t mind snapping a quick picture before digging in. The presentation of the bagels themselves is also really nice, and you can tell they put thought into the look of the place. As for the food, the bagels have a really unique texture. It’s not your average New York bagel, and that part actually impressed me. The chew and crispness stood out and showed that they are doing something a little different from the traditional style. Flavor-wise, the bagels were solid, and I can see why people enjoy them. That being said, if you’re going here expecting a hearty breakfast that will keep you full for hours, you might walk away disappointed. The portions felt a little light for the price, and even though the quality was good, it just didn’t have that satisfying, sustaining factor I usually look for in a bagel shop. Overall, Apollo Bagels is worth trying once for the unique texture and the aesthetic experience, but for me it falls short on value. Cute place, tasty bagels, but not the kind of spot I’d rely on to start my day feeling full.
The line was nearly out the door when we got there. But it went quickly. Their menu is small: three types of bagels (plain, sesame, everything), your choice of butter, cream cheese, lox, or tomato, and that’s it - simple, delicious bagels. Very nice crust, but I prefer a less airy, more dense bagel. They have plenty of seating but it’s not the type of place to get comfortable. Understandable since they are so busy.
Got the salmon bagel. The bagel itself is fantastic. The cream cheese and salmon were fine but nothing special. Rest of the topics were the same. But the price for what you get is ridiculous. Worth getting the raw bagels and making the sandwich yourself with better quality toppings. Otherwise just skip. Seems like the kind of place that was smart with paying influencers and got into main stream discourse for being good (but not great) and then doubled their prices.
