Avis sur Clover Club Albee Square
We came in without a reservation and found seating at the bar, a bit surprised at how busy a Monday was. The service was excellent. Started with the clover club and deviled eggs (good, but nothing too special). For dinner had the steak on toast, loved! Super tender, great as an entre or for sharing. Ended with the clover girl (preferred the volver club, but bother we’re great)! Definitely will come back and recommend.
I came to Clover Club to try a NYTimes rated best manhattan. Clover offers an impressive and unique variety of cocktails, from frozen to hot drinks. The manhattan was delicious (accompanied by cheese, yum), although a bit sweet. My friend’s espresso martini was superb. The burger was ok. Sexy dark lit venue.
A cool vibe bar in Brooklyn: I quite liked the ambiance of the place, a great place to take a date or for celebration, the bartenders/staff was very cool and chill, and their menu is quite good. Had a Clover Club of course, the Gin raspberry sour classic, quite lovely. Also had the Smoke and Mirrors, a spirit forward bacon washed tequila, smoky and quite unique. Definitely a bar to try, they got all the fundamentals covered.
Clover Club is one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn. The cocktails are amazing, the food is really good, and the atmosphere is always great. The staff are friendly and know what they’re doing. It’s a perfect place to hang out with friends or grab a drink after work — always a great experience every time I go.
What a great place! The food and service here are both 5 stars. Our group enjoyed every single part of our meal including the dessert and drinks. The place is on the smaller side but it doesn't feel cramped which is good. They don't accept reservations so it can be a long wait during peak hours. We went off peak and were seated right away thankfully. I can't wait to go back!
This place hit on all levels. The space is very nice. They also have a beautiful backroom with a fireplace. It's a neighborhood bar but they are very welcoming. The service is amazing. Tav and Gus were very nice and welcoming. The Cocktail Program is one of the best I've seen. I had the Oysters. They were fresh and 😋. The Happy Hour is very good. The prices on items that are not on the HH Menu are reasonable. I have to go back and try some other things on the menu.
Food perfect. Everything perfect. BEST fried chicken biscuit I’ve ever had. Sweet and savory without being overly sugary. Pancakes perfect. Simple, fluffy, real maple syrup, yum. Spongy but not too spongy!! Burger perfect. American cheese was homemade. Onions were marinated and grilled, but not too acidic. Afternoon buzz was like an irish coffee and an espresso martini had a baby. Perfect. 5/5. Will come again. Might be the new regular spot!
We swung by Clover Club while we were in Brooklyn. It's one of the top 50 best bars in North America, and it didn't disappoint. The neighborhood had a fantastic vibe, even though we were there at night. I can totally see why folks love it. The bar was buzzing, but it was a tad dimly lit for my taste. However, the cocktails were a hit. They've got quite an extensive menu. Sadly, our bellies were already bursting, so we couldn't dive into the food. But rumor has it, their grub is top-notch too.
Pulled up here because I watched Drink Masters. Our table had this sweet leather couch. Loved the classic aesthetic. We enjoyed every single cocktail after trying half the menu. My personal favorites were the Clever Girl and the Clover Club! Will definitely be back with family. Service was great.
Great bar with wide selection of cocktails and food/snacks! For snacks, I would recommend the Crisps the most! The truffle cream for dipping is super savory. The chips that are fried with duck oil is also super crispy and tasty. As for the cocktail, the Clover Club is really refreshing with raspberry. It is a bit sweet to me, but overall it’s pretty good! A recommended bar in the downtown Brooklyn area!
Great spot to grab cocktails in the neighborhood. It gets quite busy on the weekends but there’s a reason why. The inside has a nice dark vibe to in and there’s always good music and loud conversations going on. The cocktails are a bit on the pricey side, especially for the okay quality but the vibe definitely makes up for it. Would recommend if you’re in the area and looking to grab a drink.
We've had several good meals here so far. Recommended: - Bloody Marys - Any burger - Mac & Cheese w/ smoked bacon (SO GOOD!!!) - Steak tartare - Fried chicken biscuit (or sandwich) - Clover benedict - Breakfast burrito If it's crowded, the structure is such that it can be a bit hard to hear the conversation of those you're with, just fyi. If you're going for just the cocktails/food, or for their live music (certain nights), then go for it!
4 stars for drinks 1 star for food. Came with three other friends and we ordered two rounds of drinks and two food items to share. Drinks are decent, not exceptional but given the convenience of a Brooklyn location, the creativity and presentation of the cocktails, I would say they kinda justified the Manhattan price, would totally down to go back just for the drinks. And in regards to the food, not sure what exactly happened or maybe the chef was just having a bad day, but we ordered the steak tartare and the spicy clam with spaghetti, and both tasted like they just came out from a salt bath, the level of saltiness for both dishes are roof breaking and that's a collective statement from all four of us. Handmade pasta legit taste like play dough with this mysterious chewy texture, not to mention the pasta took more than 30 mins to arrive at around 11pm, good thing we only ordered two items and weren't that hungry. Excuse the picture quality and half bitten food as I took both in shock after getting hit by that sodium. Overall, decent drinks, terrible food, will come back again but will definitely stay away from the food.
The drinks were top notch — creative, beautifully crafted, strong, large selection of classics and the new twists. The bar food was pretty nice too. I was ready to give this place 5 stars. But then finished few apps and waited for main entrees for over half an hour. The waiter never even came to say anything. No good. And then there was steak… we asked for medium rare and not only was it medium at best, it was so tough to chew it was almost inedible. Very surprising considering all the other dishes were so good. Suggestion to chef is to try the quality of meat before serving.
I never write bad reviews. Until now. My parents are in the industry so no silver spoons here, but this was by far the most uninviting and hostile service I've ever experienced. We went there Saturday to celebrate our engagement with family (don't bother clicking on an event type when rsvp'ing btw, they couldn't possibly care less). It was so bad that we were actually getting a laugh out of it (like "what's next", I think we even had a bet about whether the waitress would roll her eyes on the next rare pass of the table), from "I hate you" attitude right out of the gate to wrong orders... you name it, it was there. There must be a lot of masochist regulars because I have no idea how this place is in business, or has a rating above 2 stars. They even bounced our payments at the end (I tried mine first and then had to ask a friend for help afterwards, which as a newly engaged husband to be trying to pay for his new family is kind of embarrassing, especially with the attitude from the hostess (think slow apathetic vocal fry)). His didn't work either and he thought of calling his bank (chase) because apparently they didn't trust them as a business. My advise would be to keep the bartenders (they seemed nice), and the kitchen staff, (food & drinks were above average for sure, interior design as well), but my god get rid of the waitresses and hostesses on that time slot, they were begging to be anywhere else. But my guess is that there's some "It starts from the top and trickles down" economics at play here or they wouldn't have the nerve to be like that. Avoid this place at all costs unless unless your sitting at the bar, ordering takeout ot just want to wait 40 minutes for a drink in an empty room and feel like a jerk for asking.
So where do I start? We walked in at 3:55. They told us live music will be for another half hour so we chose our seating based off that. There was no live music after we arrived… they gave us menus as we sat down. Nobody came up to us for another 15 minutes, at which point we were asked what drinks we’d like to order, so we ordered. We tried ordering food as well but were told that the brunch menu is no longer being served. Ok, no problem… we were then given the dinner menus. 5 minutes later she comes back to ask us what drinks we wanted again because she forgot to put them in… and turns out those drinks are no longer being served either. At this point, we were also told that the dinner menu u is not yet being served. We ordered new drinks from the menu that were available. They were initially delivered to the wrong table. It was 4:45 when we finally asked for the bill… then asked again another 5 minutes later… and for a third time another 5 minutes later. Left much hungrier than we arrived, and no longer in a good mood. Pretty ambiance though. Will not be returning. Sevilla across the street was wonderful.
