Avis sur Sa Mossegada Alcúdia
Great place this is, Only popped in a few times for an evening drink, and a slice of cake. Lady behind the bar is very friendly, and happy to make you any drink, even if not on the menu.
We found this one of the best restaurants in Alcudia so far. We were there with 5 peolpe and each meal was delicious. The location is a beautiful courtyard, with a huge rubber tree, and warm inviting lighting. Friendly and good service (all this at very reasonable prices, - surprisingly lower than the avarage restaurants around)
We went to Sa Mossegada to celebrate my friend's 30th Birthday and it was amazing... we couldn't believe how amazing! We were greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne to mark the occasion and the setting was so beautiful! The food was great and the staff went above and beyond.
An wonderful experience. The place is like an oasis, a very beautiful garden. It accomodates places for having dinner and also for enjoying a drink. We had enjoyed a very tasty dinner, well presented and also very good value for money, considering the quality of food and ambience. Totally recommend it!
Stunning location, inside the medieval walls of Alcùdia fortress. We enjoyed sitting and dining in the beautiful back garden, admiring the Roman ruins. The food was substantial in portions and delicious! We also enjoyed the coffee and cake after lunch :) would recommend for the atmosphere and the great food!
Walking past the place when walking around Alcudia, we were temped but decided to walk around. We found that a lot of places that were full looked mediocre or were just too touristy. We nearly ended up elsewhere but the place was full. Decided then too spontaneously come back to Sa Mossegada. After sitting down only had we read the reviews and were a bit worried as some recent ones were quiet negative. Luckily, none of it was true in our case. The place has an absolutely stunning back garden with a separate bar, surrounded by medieval walls. Waitresses were very nice, mostly prompt, with a little wait, but nothing out of ordinary. We ordered a few starters and tapas and all were hot, tasty and plenty. 5 of them between us filled us completely. Worth adding that we do eat a lot and have completed a 30km run beforehand... We had a nice bottle of wine, one dessert with a coffee and paid an absolutely decent €90. It was a great experience overall and I can wholeheartedly recommend the place.
Called in for coffee and cake, didn't see many cakes on offer just breakfast pastries so just had coffee. Had to wait a while as they were quite busy but not full. Coffee was good and worth the wait. Shame they didn't have any cake to go with it.
Nice restaurant with a hidden tables in the back. Then you come away from the street and it is calm. We had to wait for the menus and then we had to wait again before we could order. The staff was busy at lunchtime and they had not expected that many customers. But they were friendly and the food was good.
Trying hard to look fancy… but doesn’t quite make it 😅ordered a free range grilled chicken, got a strange cube of minced meat, paired with sweet potato liquid puree, apples, almonds, dried prunes… Taste wasn’t bad, but the idea and the combination didn’t convince.
I had high hopes for this place, but it was just okay. The menu featured a variety of Spanish classics, from grilled meats to lighter fare. I tried a pork dish with roasted vegetables. The pork was juicy but the sauce was overpowering, and the veggies were soggy. The wine was decent, with a nice white that paired well. The service was polite but disorganized, and we had to flag them down for refills. The atmosphere was cozy with rustic touches, but it got noisy, and the seats were uncomfortable. Prices were fair, but I’ve had better for the same cost. It’s fine if you’re nearby, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.
Nice location in the old town of Alcudia and close to the bus station. The service was very good but the food was just average and the price high. The mushrooms and batatas bravas had hardly any flavour. I ordered huevos rotos with tumbet but in came with fried eggs instead of crumbled eggs. I think I will not return again.
