Truthfully, one of the best and unique places I’ve ate at in the area. The variety of flavor choices you have is pretty large. They have other options if you aren’t a poke/raw fish kind of person. I ordered about 8 (since I live far and wanted the full experience of the flavors); however, 2-3 of these is more than enough for a single person. Perfect lunch/snack if you’re a health conscious person. The meals are packed with protein and a balanced level of carbs and fats as well! Recommend trying it!
Lovely little place! They're all really yummy, the tofuskin can be little less sweet imo so it doesn't take away the overall flavor. You get a good amount of fish/meat on top of the rice which I appreciate for $5 piece. Girl at the counter is super sweet, could get busy since the store is pretty small. Kitchen is bright and spacious. Will definitely be back!
I'm going to give it five stars but I didn't love these thingies, you get a tofu wrapper, some rice mixed with a light sauce and then a protein topping, I did bulgogi, octopus and salmon. They cost 4 bucks each. I had three and it was plenty of food for lunch. Reminded me of an upscale version of the spam/rice wraps you can get at Hawaiian/Polynesian places. Honestly, I didn't love the bulgogi or octopus but the salmon was very good. Interesting to try but not sure i would go back again. It's cool though that a place like this exists, at all, I believe it's the first of its kind in the US. Would be a good pick for to go/delivery because of the portability and compactness of the food.
First time I came here was on a Saturday at 1:30pm ish. They were already sold out but a worker came out to greet us, explained why they were sold out, and offered us drinks. He says they make a certain amount twice a day to keep things fresh and recommended to come during weekdays instead. I came around at 6:30pm on a weekday and weekend and they still had items in stock. I got the salmon, garlic butter crab, myungran crab, bulgogi, and spicy pork. The first bite and bites after were so astonishing. It was super delicious and I wish I got more. This made me understand why they were always sold out. My favorites are salmon and the myungran crab! Spicy pork ended up being too spicy but it was good! I would 100000% recommend this place but make sure you come at least before 1pm and before 6:30pm! Parking lot is small but I never had any troubles so far. I’ll be coming back for sure. 🤩
We wanted to visit this spot for a while and we finally did and it was amazing. I love grabbing inari at sushi restaurants so when I saw this place I just knew it had to be good. So tasty and fresh the tofu had a nice flavor. Fresh salmon is right it had nice bite and flavor. The lemon ginger tuna(I think) was sooo good. The flavors soak into the rice so it’s a double punch of flavor. I didn’t even use any extra sauce it was all tasty. We got there twenty minutes before opening and were able to order what we wanted, you basically order on the tablet yourself. Excited to go again one of these days.
Atoyubu is such a big hit! All of my friends were posting & talking about it. I had to try. It did not disappoint! It is very delicious and they are so creative! Who would’ve thought to put these ingredients in yubu!? Unfortunately, they were all out of the Salmon ones and spicy tuna which we really wanted to try. We will have to come back for it earlier in the day. All the staff were very kind and it’s a simple ambiance with a good seating areas for quick bites. I can’t wait to come back.
Randomly spotted this restaurant and upon looking it up, had to make a stop. I love inari and even more so, I love inari with toppings. Ranging from $5-6 per piece, each yubu comes with a healthy dollop of topping on top of sushi rice in a seasoned tofu cup. I tried the Fresh Salmon and Spicy Tuna which were both fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Spicy Tuna was really spicy for me but I have a kind of low spice tolerance; it was really good despite how spicy it was and the sauce tasted like it was made with Korean gochujang which was a nice surprise. I also tried the eel yubu which was well balanced and probably my favorite of the three. I can't wait to come back to try the other options! Space is clean and modern and feels like a cute cafe. Great for a quick bite if you dine in.
Delicious food, friendly service and nice atmosphere. Restaurant is open and clean! Most diners get this item for takeout, but I chose to dine in. I ordered Beef Bulgogi and spicy pork! Both were delicious and packed with flavor! I also enjoyed the miso soup very much. Can’t wait to come back to try different flavors!
Trying this viral Korean Tofu pockets and didn’t disappoint! $5 for a huge yubo with different toppings to choose from 😋 👉🏼 We ordered - Fresh Salmon, garlic butter crab, creamy myungran - New items ( Chipotle salmon, bulgogi on fire, sweet bbq gyro ) - Spicy tuna, myungran crab, grilled bulgogi Our favorite is probably the creamy myubgran and grilled bulgogi
The inari are absolutely DIVINE!! I dont eat seafood so I only had the bulgogi and chicken inari but both were outstanding. Wish they had more seafoodless options though. My mom and brother ordered a variety of inari with the salmon one being their favorite. The place is so clean and organized. And staff are very friendly/helpful. The order process is pretty simple- you queue and then on a touch screen order/pay and someone asks your name. When your order is ready they call your name. There is a self service water atation with both hot and cold water.
Boyfriend and I came out to Atoyubu based off an Instagram share. Their food is AMAZING. They ran out of everything by 7:20pm but they're also a new space (opened about 7 months ago on this date of review) and working out the kinks. They need a break between AM and PM shift to make more food and prepare. I havent spoken to them but thats how it was with my restaurant. Eventually we were able to expand our hours and since Atoyubu provides a small menu but delicious flavors, They too, will one day be able to expand hours as well. Their retail space in the commercial building is quite small and being in the restaurant industry myself, I can imagine that they do not have a lot of room for everything prepped in advance. They're also a small operation but effective. Parking cannot be helped, but you can park across the street where McDonald's is, and walk across? It's that close. Commercial real estate is expensive to rent. Parking lot holds about 12 spaces and shares parking with medical offices. We had the garlic butter crab. Their tofu skin is incredible. It's house made obviously as it's quite large compared to other inari/yubu offerings. Even though it's imitation crab, we appreciated the final touch of torching the top. Even though it's simple, it was so delicious and we Def have plans to come back here though the plan is to come earlier to try the other flavors. Keep up the good work!
Food was really good! They have lots of interesting and adventurous choices. The presentation of the food was beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. You can tell that they care about customer experience and their craft. Everything is super clean!
The name Atoyubu comes from the Korean words ato, which means “gift”, and yubu, which means “tofu skin.” Atoyubu specializes in yubu filled with rice topped with protein. Arrived at noon and there was a line out the door. The parking lot is really small, so finding a spot on a busy day will be challenging. Restaurant was indeed worth waiting for. Make sure you get the Spicy Tuna as it’s packed with a delicious kick to your mouth.
$5 Korean food??? Yes, you can find it at Atoyubu! It's a new and very popular spot famous for tofu pockets. There is rice inside the tofu pockets with a variety of toppings like salmon, tuna, Korean bulgogi, fluffy egg, and so on. It's such a unique spot that you won't find it anywhere else. I ordered: Free salmon Lemon pepper salmon Spicy tuna Fresh ginger tuna Myungan crab Fluffy egg(new) Small parking area, store is crowded at night, food tastes very delicious, so no complaints. Will for sure come back!
I recently stopped by Atoyubu in Buena Park, curious about all the rave reviews. I’m happy to report it’s as good as everyone says! The staff welcomed me with smiles, and the clean, cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. I planned to take leftovers but was so taken by the flavors that I ate every bite right there! From the perfectly seasoned dishes to the unique taste in every bite, it’s clear they put heart into their food. Yes, it can get busy, and parking might be a mini-adventure, but it’s all part of the charm. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
My first impressions were great. This Japanese/Korean-inspired food, similarly known as Inari sushi, reminded me of my trips to Japan. The staff was friendly and hardworking, with a clean and inviting space. There are a few small tables with a wall counter on one side. I noticed more people ordering for take-out as well. Ordering is through one kiosk at the counter, and staff was there to help with any questions. Easy enough to use and then wait for your order. Many yubu options are available, from fresh salmon and tuna to savory bulgogi, eel, and creamy crab yubus. The tofu pocket is an interesting and tasty way to carry the ingredients. The fresh-made rice was fluffy and fell apart quickly with every bite, so savoring all the ingredients simultaneously was challenging after that first bite. A few items we tried: - Bulgogi Yubu - savory and delicious, love bulgogi - Eel Yubu - tasted how grilled eel should, a decent option with a hint of smokiness - Fresh Salmon Yubu - definitely fresh and well balanced with the rice and sauce - Fresh Ginger Tuna Tubu - fresh tasting, with a hint of ginger and flavorful - Butter Crab Yubu - my least favorite, maybe because it was imitation crab or the butter mixed in. I'll give the myungran crab a try soon. Their open business hours are staggered for lunch and dinner. Monday-Saturday, Lunch is 11am-2pm while dinner is 4pm-8pm. Closed Sundays. **Note - The parking is very limited. It was nearly full when I went for an early lunch (11:15 am) on a weekday and there was already a line when I walked in. It took about 20-25min to receive my order after ordering at the counter.
The food is amazing but was sad they ran out of Bulgulgi before I got there. That seems to be the popular one! But everything else I ordered was still very good! Packed full of flavor! Nicely balanced taste and textures. I can eat 3 and be totally full but forced myself to eat 3 more cause I wanted to try as many flavors as possible. They all looked too good and didn't want to have to make another trip (even though I know I will be going back soon for that Bulgulgi!). All the ones I ate were all too good so I can't really say which one is the best... they all were that good! They also do a great job in making it to go. Cool little visiable packaging and utensils that came with a little lollipop 🍭 Definitely worth checking out! I ate in my truck cause it was a little crowded inside and music was a little too loud for me but besides that, it was an awesome experience 👌
Ya’ll! I stumbled across this restaurant because we were on vacation and staying Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel. I’m so glad I did!! We planned our vacation around exploring local restaurants, so we decided to try it. It was DELICIOUS. If you like sushi, you’ll LOVE the Korean version. The flavor profiles and textures truly delight the palate. I would DEFINITELY return to Atoyubu when visiting California again. I tried the fresh salmon (definitely fresh!), grilled bulgogi (dang!), grilled eel and fresh ginger tuna. All on point. Beautiful presentation and friendly service! Delightful!❤️
This is a really neat place and fun concept they’ve got going. The food is simple and good. Ordering is not completed, super easy. They provide soy sauce packets, which you really don’t need. Oh and also small ginger packets which is a nice touch. Only one minor issue, which is there isn’t a lot of parking; but there is an area where you can park across the street and walk over.
Starting with the food. I got the fresh salmon, popping salmon, fluffy egg, and grilled spicy pork. I liked the fluffy egg and grilled spicy pork the best. Fresh salmon is alright. It is what it is with basically poke quality salmon. Light and refreshing. Popping salmon has like sort of a buldak/rameny flavor for the marinade which I didn’t like but my partner liked. Not too spicy. Grilled spicy pork is fairly typical dwaegi gogi, which i like so i’m a little biased. i thought it was good with the yubu. Plenty of pork marinade seeping through the rice. Not very spicy. Fluffy egg did not have as much roe as the picture lead me to believe but it was good. It also had a few salmon roe for some reason but I liked it. Nice and savory. Egg was wet-ish and soft. nice. Prices are fairly reasonable. I’d say 3-4 would be a pretty filling meal for the average person. about $5-7 each yubu after tax. I’ve never seen a yubu restaurant before. Vibes are kind of grab and go but they have a decent amount of seating for like groups of 4-5 maybe (like 3-4 tables) Pretty okay neat looking modern place on the inside. I might try again if I was craving something in particular. I wanted to try the Garlic Butter Crab that other reviews were talking about.
I tried the salmon and beef and lamb sweet pocket. Had to use a spoon because they were so overstuffed. The salmon was tender and fresh, and I love the tofu pocket. The rice is dressed with mayonnaise, I think. The beef and lamb has barbecue sauce on it, but not too sweet, and with good flavors. Great prices, friendly staff, and quick service. Will be back for more!
I enjoyed this spot a lot. The line can be long, but the workers move really quick to get your order as fast as possible. Quality of everything is very high. The tofu skin has a lot of flavor itself. It tastes like it’s marinated in an eel sauce marinade. Anything should be a hit here. Our favorite was the eel one. The lemon pepper salmon was also delicious. But you really can’t go wrong with anything you order here. I would just recommend 2 per person. 3 if you’re a big back like me. These are stuffed with a lot of proteins and rice so you can get full very quickly.
Was in the neighborhood and decided to give this place a try based on the Google reviews. It didn't disappoint. Tried the specials, one with truffle oil. It looked small but I was actually full afterwards (lunch) from eating 2.5. Overall, 5* for the items that we ordered. Complimentary condiments.
I had the pleasure of dining at Atoyubu in Buena Park, and it was an absolute treat! This spot offers a unique Asian fusion dining experience, focusing on yubu—a popular Korean dish made with tofu wrapped around a variety of fresh ingredients. The menu is a fantastic fusion of flavors, with highlights like fresh salmon, spicy tuna, garlic butter crab, and creamy avocado. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, with the balance of flavors truly standing out. The quality of the fish was top-notch, and I loved how the garlic butter crab added a rich, savory depth to the dish. The atmosphere was also cozy and inviting, making it a great place for a casual yet elevated meal. If you're a fan of creative Asian fusion or looking to try something new, I highly recommend checking out Atoyubu. I’m already planning my next visit!
Soooo happy I went this afternoon this on a Facebook short last week. Took my daughter and her family for a nice lunch of something they’ve never had, but I was familiar with having grown up in Hawaii and Japanese inari sushi. This is the Korean version, Yubuchobap. Love at first bite. Seriously come and give this a try! We had the bulgoggi, spicy pork, eel, tuna and ginger, spicy tuna, bbq gyro for the kids. Amazing. Can’t wait to go back! Bear in mind it’s a tiny strip mall, 4 shops, so parking is extremely limited. We got there at the right time just before lunch “started” at 11:30. If you can do takeout, it’d probably be better in the long run with the limited parking. Online order thru Toast, preferably. There is seating inside enough for I think 30 people? We were able to sit after some people left. If not at a table, there are barstools along the East wall with plenty of space to eat. It got a little crowded but lunch had just started. When we left it had mellowed out considerably. There are only 3 canned sodas offered but water is free as are the utensils and handy wipes because you are going to use your fingers and get messy in the best way. I’ll recommend what I had which is the tuna and ginger, grilled Bulgogi, and the spicy pork. But the tuna and ginger was my favorite, probably go back just for that. Please note everything is made to order except of course for the tofu pockets so don’t expect fast food. It’s delicious food, plain and simple, and I’m so glad we went. We were three adults and two kids, ordered 13 pieces, no leftovers. None. And as a bonus to me, a Star Wars fan girl, a cool Storm trooper poster in front of my parking space. So, yeah, this place gets 💯
Indeed, this restaurant is a restaurant that presents attractive flavors that are both Korean and not alien to people from different cultures. It's a big size to eat all at once. The price is reasonable. It was a restaurant with good memories that I would like to visit again.
Yeah just go here. It’s so SO good. That spicy tuna is something else. They were honestly all good .
This place specializes in tofu pockets filled with rice and a protein mix on top. It's a bit messy to eat since they fill the pockets fully. But the place does provides gloves and hand wipes for your convenience. At the time of this review each pocket is about 5-6$ each. I myself got the bulgogi, garlic butter crab, and unagi(eel). All of which were delicious I would say the bulgogi was my favorite. Lots of filling compared to rice ratio. If you've never had Yubu, know that these pockets are on the sweet side as the tofu pockets are usually part of a sweet marinade. So if you have a friend who likes more savory food they may have mixed feelings about eating here. The menu lists out clearly what the flavors are so definitely take a look. The parking is small though, so please carpool with your friends instead of meeting to this location. Ordering is easy as they have a touchscreen for you to select what you want and pay by card/tap. And food service was quick and delicious. Definitely stop by for an easy and fast/casual meal. :)
Fantastic meal! The staff was helpful with ordering on the tablet screen and with some suggestions. They mentioned the spicy tuna being about habanero heat level which I think is right where it was. Tuna, bulgogi and spicy pork were perfect, with the little pocket containing just the right amount of rice. The pocket was also tasty and complimented the meats. I will be back.
Came here after seeing it on Instagram as a place to try! Atoyubu blew me away! The sushi was incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. I ordered the fresh salmon, grilled bulgogi, and spicy tuna every bite was delicious. On top of that, the prices were amazing for the quality. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
Spicy Bulgogi with fried garlic and Garlic Butter Crab are very good. The rest are not bad, pls note the spicy items are meant for those who can take spicy food (not too hot if you are used to).
5 stars for the food, interesting flavors and good quality. Affordable price as well
Excellent food. Loved them. Very efficient. Small parking lot but you will eventually find a space. Very good quality.
Casual Asian spot known for their inari aka fried tofu pockets filled with rice and your choice of toppings. Below are the deets! Pros: 12 different inari to choose from. We each had 3, which was more than filling. Really depends on how hungry you are. They do not skimp on the fillings here! We had the fresh salmon, lemon pepper salmon, ginger tuna, spicy tuna, garlic crab, and spicy chicken. We loooved the fresh salmon best! The spicy tuna was good, but maybe a tad too spicy. Watch out for the spicy sauce! Everyone orders on their own via a POS at the counter, though staff are readily available to answer questions/help if needed. Prices vary from $4.30-$4.99. Presentation of the inari is beautiful. Cons: VERY SMALL parking lot shared with a few other businesses. Some of the establishments have signs reserved for customers only. Though there is residential street parking not too far away. Lines can be long, so I suggest don't come toooo hungry. Otherwise you'll be hangry while waiting lol. We lucked out and only had to stand in line for 10 minutes and waited just a few more minutes for our food. All in all, great spot for inari with tasty toppings!
The checkout counter was an easy transaction. Service was great they just ask for your name and you just wait. There was a pretty decent amount of chairs to sit on. The high chairs are a little uncomfortable but just enough for you to eat and get out.
You have seen the menu by now. This is what I am looking for, variety of inari. Ordered bulgogi, eel, spicy tuna, salmon, garlic butter crab, and cod roe. My god, they taste so delicious. Totally not disappointed with the food. The wait was about 30 minutes when I got there around 11:30a on Saturday, a wait that I can deal with since I got to listen to k-pop music on their speakers. Every table was occupied and the ordering station was a bit long although the machine seemed to be very user friendly which made it fast order processing. The only watch out is the parking spots, very limited so prepare to find a street parking.
I have been seeing about this place and I was in the area so I decided to try it. I went there before 1pm. I would recommend coming at least 2 hours before they close since they were sold out a few minutes after I came. It was about 40 minutes wait for the food. The staff are all really nice and friendly. I tried the eel, ginger tuna, and bulgogi. The outside tofu skin was bean curd (yubu) so it's sweet. It complements with savory taste of rice and protein inside. My favorite was eel. Everything was fresh and yummy. 😊🥰

5 stars for the food, interesting flavors and good quality. Affordable price as well
Casual Asian spot known for their inari aka fried tofu pockets filled with rice and your choice of toppings.
This is almost as good or better than sushi. The wrap is made out of tofu. The tofu wrap is moist and flavorful. Every item Was delicious. The least favorite of the options was the imitation crab. Upon arriving there was a sign at the door that read that they were making more rice and to come back later. When they were taking orders again, the salmon option had run out so I didn't get to try that one. It is a small restaurant that offers what they have prepared for. Basically if they run out ... they run out. It was a bit crowded in there and sort of confusing when it came to getting in line or trying g to sit somewhere along the wall. I would come back hoping to try the salmon option next time. I hope they offer a drink menu some time in the near future ( there is water offered by the establishment though)
We saw this place on a tiktok and had to make the 2hr drive to come try it out. It was pretty good. Everything we got was tasty. The only thing we were a little saddened by was that the thing wrapped around it wasn't crunchy. For some reason we thought it was like tempura something. But we're dumb. Place is good! Give it a try! I'd come back for more if we had a place like that back home.
Atoyubu offers a tantalizing array of flavors with their super tasty toppings stealing the show. The bulgogi, in particular, stands out with its irresistible smoky taste, making it a must-try. This spot is a brilliant choice for Korean bites enthusiasts. However, navigating the crowded and hard-to-find parking lot can be a hassle. Additionally, be prepared to wait a bit longer to receive your food. While the service is okay, the culinary experience more than makes up for any minor inconveniences. The vibes are nice and space is small inside.
Love inari so was very excited to try these! Overall, friendly service, easy ordering system, and liked the variety they offer. My favorite was the fluffy egg myungran. The grilled eel and bulgogi was good, but the sauce was overpowering which made it really taste one note. Salmon and ginger tuna was fresh, but nothing exciting. Didn't try the other flavors because they use imitation crab. Would love it if they used real crab for one of the options. I ordered 10 pieces for 2 people which was very filling. Takeout presentation was great!
Each yubu piece costs around $5 to $6. The yubus are delicious and freshly made. The tofu wrap carries a delightful sweet kick. The toppings and fish are flavorful. The food is well presented. The cashier informed us of the expected wait time for our order, a thoughtful touch. There's a decent amount of seating available, although the parking lot is small. This spot is nice and clean.
Heard a lot of good things about this place. Wanted to say food was great... it was ok. Rice was kinda mushy. The fish topping was good 🤷♀️. I need a Lil more fish per rice ratio. Inside was nothing write about, 4 walls. But packaging was well thought out, very upscale with nice carrying bag with cute logo.
Overall, pretty yummy but a tad bit expensive. I ordered 2 and hubby got 4. We were just satisfied enough with the amount but you definitely need to savor it otherwise I could've stuffed my face with 2 or 3 more pieces. Highly recommended the munryang crab. Grilled eel and bulgogi was ok if it were a little more hot.
