Primera vez en este restaurante, y no la última. Éramos un grupo bastante grande, 37 personas, y el trato y el ritmo a la hora de servir no sufrió nada. Un menú a compartir, con todo, todo buenísimo… espectacular el lomo, el tomate con burrata con un sabor a tomate de verdad, las croquetas y el canelón!! Y para rematar un postre que no nos pudimos dejar… ojo a la tata de queso!!! Enhorabuena!
Fuimos a comer con reserva un sábado y unas chicas antes que nosotros entraron sin reserva, supongo que porque el restaurante es bastante grande o fue algo puntual, porque había bastante gente. En general bastante bien, la comida bastante buena y el personal cercano y atento. Los platos llegaban rápido y bien de temperatura. La única pega es que se pasaron de punto de la carne, ya que lo pedimos poco hecho y estaba al punto+. Pero por lo general recomendable y con buena ubicación.
Me parece un sitiazo donde comer producto de calidad, manjares de la Terreta. Es uno de esos lugares donde la materia prima habla por sí sola. Solo hace falta cruzar la puerta para entender la filosofía del restaurante: una vitrina impresionante de erizos, ostras y mariscos fresquísimos, junto con los numerosos jamones colgados y un maestro cortador trabajando con una precisión casi hipnótica. Es una declaración de intenciones: aquí el producto es el protagonista absoluto. Su bodega, amplia y muy bien seleccionada, ofrece una variedad de caldos capaz de acompañar tanto la cocina más tradicional como las elaboraciones ligeramente más contemporáneas. Porque aunque el recetario es clásico, está muy bien ejecutado, con ese punto de mimo que convierte cada plato en algo memorable. Entre los imprescindibles, el tartar es un acierto seguro, igual que el huevo a 65 grados, un plato que demuestra técnica sin perder ese toque reconfortante. Los arroces, cómo no, cumplen sobradamente, y los pescados muestran la frescura del producto que exhiben a la entrada. Pero la realidad es que cualquier cosa de la carta está deliciosa, y se nota que la cocina trabaja con respeto y cariño hacia cada ingrediente. Y si puedes, deja un hueco para el postre: el helado de queso es sorprendente, adictivo y absolutamente brutal. Otro punto a favor es la versatilidad del espacio. Puedes elegir entre comer en la barra, en mesas altas, o en un comedor más íntimo, adaptándose perfectamente al plan: una comida con amigos, una cena tranquila… o incluso una visita en solitario para disfrutar de un homenaje gastronómico sin compañía. En todos los casos, la experiencia merece la pena. En definitiva, La Taberna del Groumet es un acierto seguro en Alicante para quienes buscan calidad, producto y cocina honesta con un toque especial.
DONDE EL PRODUCTO HABLA… Y ALICANTE RESPONDE En pleno corazón de Alicante, en la calle San Fernando, se encuentra La Taberna del Gourmet, uno de esos lugares que no necesitan artificios ni discursos grandilocuentes porque aquí el producto se encarga de hablar desde el primer bocado. Y cuando el producto es el protagonista, lo único sensato es escuchar… y disfrutar. Aquí se viene a lo que se viene. A comer bien. A respetar el origen. A dejar que el sabor marque el ritmo. Empezamos con una trilogía marina impecable: mejillones, ostras y tellinas que llegan a la mesa fresquísimas, limpias, directas al paladar y a la memoria. Producto desnudo, sin distracciones ni maquillaje, como debe ser cuando se confía en la calidad. Cada bocado sabe a mar, a Mediterráneo y a verdad. Seguimos con un lomo ibérico con su pan con tomate que es toda una lección de sencillez bien entendida. Porque hacer algo aparentemente simple y hacerlo realmente bien es un arte. Pan crujiente, tomate en su punto y un ibérico que demuestra que la elegancia no siempre necesita complejidad. Y el jamón ibérico, qué decir: corte preciso, textura perfecta y ese equilibrio de grasa y sabor que invita al silencio respetuoso en la mesa. De esos momentos en los que sobran las palabras. El pase caliente mantiene el listón muy alto. Un solomillo con pimientos del Padrón jugoso, sabroso y honesto, sin más intención que la de ofrecer un producto bien tratado y en su punto exacto. Y como guiño al mar más nuestro, erizos que saben a Alicante sin necesidad de explicaciones, intensos, profundos y absolutamente reconocibles. Todo ello acompañado por un Tarima Hill tinto, redondo, amable y perfectamente elegido para acompañar una cocina que mira al producto sin imponerle nada, solo acompañarlo y respetarlo. La experiencia no sería completa sin un servicio atento, cercano y profesional, de esos que saben estar, leer la mesa y acompañar sin invadir. Y el espacio acompaña con coherencia: un ambiente en el que se respira Alicante por los cuatro costados, con identidad, sin poses y sin fuegos artificiales. Aquí no hay prisas ni modas pasajeras. Hay respeto por el huerto, por el mar, por las recetas con raíces y por una manera muy clara de entender la gastronomía. Llegas por las recomendaciones, te quedas por la calidad y el trato, y cuando te das cuenta ya estás pensando en cuándo volveremos, porque hay sitios que no solo se visitan: se repiten. Gracias a todo el equipo por recordarnos, una vez más, a qué sabe Alicante cuando se cocina con alma, criterio y muchísimo respeto por el producto.
Ha sido una experiencia increíble la comida estaba buenísima, probé el menu para compartir de 36 euros por persona y aún pienso que era demasiada comida para 3 personas.
Fuimos por recomendación y fue espectacular. Decidimos probar el menú de tapeo y no defraudo. Todos los platos nos encantaron y la atención fue perfecta. Volveremos seguro a probar su carta.
Cenamos en Taverna Gourmet y la comida nos encantó. Pedimos algunos entrantes fritos y el queso de cabra con miel estaba de muerte. Luego tomamos rape, uno con arroz y otro con patatas. El pescado estaba perfectamente cocinado, muy sabroso y en su punto. Las patatas bravas, en cambio, fueron lo único flojo del menú… no malas, pero nada especial. En general, una experiencia muy buena, fácilmente un 4 o 4,5 estrellas. ¡Volveríamos sin duda! We had dinner at Taverna Gourmet and really enjoyed it. We started with some fried appetizers, and the goat cheese with honey was to die for. Then we both had monkfish, one with rice and the other with potatoes. The fish was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The potatoes (patatas bravas) were the only letdown… not terrible, just kind of “meh.” Overall, it was a great experience, definitely a solid 4 to 4.5 stars. We’d happily go back!

Cenamos tres amigos y salimos muy contentos. La comida estaba rica y bien hecha, y el servicio fue de diez, atentos en todo momento. El sitio es agradable, aunque para nuestro gusto el precio es un poco alto. Aun así, merece la pena y repetiríamos.
Imprescindible reservar sobre todo el fin de semana. Fuimos unas amigas a comer y ha sido el mejor restaurante de todo Alicante. Servicio de 10, comida espectacular y con un precio acorde a su calidad. Los postres muy buenos aunque si es cierto que algo caros, aún así, espectaculares.
Un lugar fabuloso en Alicante donde, desde que entras, ya sabes que vas a disfrutar de una gran comida. Nada más abrir la puerta nos encantó el sitio: tenía una fragancia muy agradable, como a perfume, que te hacía sentir a gusto y con ganas de quedarte. El trato y la calidad de la comida fueron simplemente inmejorables. De entrantes pedimos una ensaladilla rusa con huevo frito y atún rojo que estaba espectacular, junto a unos calamares a la andaluza deliciosos. También queremos destacar el pan casero, que nos explicó el camarero que lo elaboran ellos… y estaba espectacularmente bueno! Como plato principal, la fideuá, impresionante en sabor y en punto de cocción. El broche final fueron los postres: una tarta de queso en formato mousse, original y sorprendente por su sabor, y la torrija, la auténtica joya de la corona, que sin duda está entre las mejores que hemos probado nunca, además con una presentación preciosa. Queremos destacar también el excelente trato de Fran, que nos atendió con una profesionalidad y una amabilidad insuperables, explicándonos cada plato con todo detalle. Fran, te damos un 10! Por destacar algo negativo, nos sorprendió el muy excesivo precio de la caña: 4,55€, así como los 2,30€ del café solo.

We had an excellent dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, but what really made the night special was our server, Yilenia. She was warm, attentive, and always made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the evening. Service like hers makes all the difference—thank you, Yilenia, for making our visit so memorable! We’ll definitely be coming back and asking for her again.
We had an excellent time at Palmitas with my lovely family! The Spanish dishes were absolutely delicious, with generous portions that left us more than satisfied. We enjoyed it so much that we came back for a second visit! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food and a warm atmosphere! 🤗
Everything was Nice but i would like to thank Arman speacially he was greeting everyone in the door and made sure we sit in a good place. He was so friendly and he asked us all the time if we needed anything i will give him a 10/10 in customer service. I will definitely be back.
Best restaurant I’ve been to in Alicante (especially sea food), the service is good and the location is beautiful, sitting outside is so refreshing and aesthetically pleasing. The food is so delicious also their Sangria is the best. As a dessert I recommend the crème brûlée, it was so tasty and original.

Restaurante situado en el centro de Alicante , un local amplio con una zona de barra de bar con mesas altas y otra zona mas de restaurante , un sol Repsol. Carta bastante amplia ,la mayoría de raciones aunque tienen algunos platos mas grandes Fui a cenar y pedí algunos platillos , la croqueta de pollo , tamaño normal , buen rebozado , bechamel cremosa y con buenos trozos de pollo , lo de la mayonesa no lo veo Una marinera , presentada en un pan finito crujiente , la ensaladilla bastante rica y una buena anchoa Media ración de sepionet a la plancha con una pipeta de salsa , estaban ricos pero salen algo caretes. 14€ la media racion Para terminar el bikini con jamon cocido y queso con trufa negra , no estaba mal. Resumen : Me quedo con la ensaladilla , el resto correcto Precio : 31,5 Puntuacion : 7.8
Taberna muy “coqueta”. Me encantó el ambiente de la zona de la barra, con mesas altas y luces. La comida me gustó mucho. Tendremos que regresar para probar más platos.
The food was actually pretty good. The paella is full of meat and seafood. But…the thing is the waiter is too loud shouting for customers passing by. And they request an obligatory tip for very basic service…they didn’t even have smiles on their faces
The food was great. The chicken cazuela was good size and flavourfull. The only negative thing was the bread that was like sándwich slice bread, maybe if it would be served toasted or hot would have been slightly better. Beasides that, everything else was decent.

Me pareció caro para lo que ofrece. La comida correcta, pero nada especial. Lo mejor fue la alcachofa, muy rica. Las croquetas solo sabían a bechamel, no noté el jamón ibérico por ningún sitio. Además, no entiendo lo de servir las salsas con cucharitas de madera diminutas, resulta incómodo. En general, una experiencia que no está a la altura de las espectativas ni del precio. Una lástima.
Hice una reserva para pasar un momento agradable porque ya había estado en otra ocasión y la comida estaba muy buena, el vino y la atención de 1 de los camareros. Llamarme quisquilloso pero estar escuchando 10min a la otra camarera recomendar a la mesa de alado otro restaurante y obviamente te quedes esperando a que te atienda....queda bastante feo.
La comida es buena, pero la falta de honestidad del servicio es vergonzosa. Éramos 3 personas (cuenta de 165€), y el camarero intentó cobrarnos deliberadamente el menú de 4 personas de la mesa de al lado. Al reclamar el error, el camarero tuvo la cara dura de decir que esto era "NORMAL". No, no es normal pagar por lo que no has comido en ningún sitio. Tuve que llamar al responsable para que corrigieran la cuenta. Es una táctica de estafa descarada. Si vienen por la comida, REVISEN CADA LÍNEA DE LA CUENTA. No dejen que les engañen diciendo que cobrar de más es "normal". Una decepción absoluta para un sitio recomendado por la Guía Michelin. The food at La Taberna del Gourmet is good, but the service integrity is a disgrace. We were a group of 3 (bill: €165), but the waiter deliberately handed us a bill for a 4-person menu from the neighboring table. When I pointed out that the headcount and items were wrong, the waiter actually had the audacity to tell me it was "NORMAL." No, it is NOT normal to pay for someone else's food in any civilized restaurant. I had to demand to speak with the manager (Leader) to get the bill corrected. This is a classic tourist trap tactic: overcharging and then gaslighting the customer when caught. If you decide to eat here for the food, CHECK EVERY LINE OF YOUR BILL. Do not let them tell you that overcharging is "normal." Truly disappointed for a Michelin-selected establishment.
Restaurants in the first row are unfortunately rarely good, and this one confirmed it. The food was okay, but the salad was already old something that simply shouldn’t be served. The service wasn’t convincing either slow, and you have to actively try to get someone’s attention. Paying by card is only possible inside the restaurant, which is annoying, and so is the extra question about tipping. I would not visit again.
Really busy place an because it is so crowded the quality is not good. The sepia was drenched in oil and unseasoned. The chicken was stil red on the inside but when I told them they gave us new chicken and extra fries so that was nice. When you get to pay the bill they will ask for tip and i really don’t like that. Wont recommend but maybe they have good paella because lots of locals where sitting there

Worst experience in a restaurant so far, waiters haven't a clue what they are doing. Brought us the wrong starters, we started eating them but they were cold, complained found out they weren't even ours then they brought us the actual starters. And made us pay for everything. We're so argumentative about it and rude. We paid but never going back, didnt stay for our main. If you want a good meal avoid this place. I'm not one for reviews but this place deserves a bad one.
Everything was literally shit. Pigeons flying overhead and walking on tables - staff don’t care about it at all. Waiters talking to each other amidst taking our order which was super uncomfortable. Carbonara’s sauce was dry and it wasn’t even close to carbonara, but more of a pasta with cheese sauce on top. Then we had to wait for 15 minutes to get the bill paid, and once I went to pay, got asked to leave a tip, which I did, but I felt cornered into doing so. Super unprofessional. Won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend to the others. I’ve read many reviews of this place afterwards and the replies from the owner himself is a disgrace. 0 tolerance for negative reviews which in fact should be something good to learn from. In general - from to bottom - from staff, service to food and environment it was like an episode from Gordon Ramsay’s “Kitchen Nightmares” series. Try and avoid it, then thank me later. ✌🏼
The service was shockingly poor. We had to wait literally 1 hour for a single paella. If you want salt or pepper or tissue or whatever you go and take it by yourself, because nobody is coming. And at the end they seriously asked us - how much tip would we would like to leave to them. 😂
Not recommended! After checking the menu, we decided to order paella, but were immediately told that the price would be doubled and that we were expected to pay twice as much. This is absolutely unacceptable and completely unprofessional. Despite this, we still went ahead and ordered the paella — and regretted it. The dish arrived with burnt edges, overly salty, and to make it worse, parts of the rice were undercooked. Overall, it was simply poorly made and unpleasant to eat. We also overheard that this place doesn’t accept customers who come only for a drink. For a restaurant, this kind of attitude toward guests is beyond unacceptable and shows a shocking lack of hospitality. Service: 2/5 (the waiter was not competent) Food: 1/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 (only because of the location and the fireplaces)
Very disappointing experience. The steak was tough, overcooked, and lacked any real flavor. The fries were absolutely shameful. On top of that, the waiters were rude and completely uninterested in serving guests. The whole atmosphere felt uncomfortable. Definitely not a place I would recommend or return to.
My wife and I decided to try Restaurante Palmitas after seeing their ad for Paella on the street, but the experience turned out to be quite disappointing. We were served by a waiter named Anthony, who seemed uninterested from the start. When we asked about the menu or if they could make small adjustments, he made faces and gave short, unhelpful replies. We wanted to try their Paella, but he said it could only be ordered for two people, meaning I’d have to pay for two servings even though I just wanted one. I decided to skip it and ordered the fritura mixta, a fried seafood platter, but the food was bland and lacked flavour. What made things worse was that after such poor service, Anthony still asked for a tip. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience bad food, rude service, and certainly not worth recommending.
I ordered a steak that cost 23.5 euro. When I got the steak it smelled rotten and tasted absolutely awful. We also waited 2 hours and service was really slow and when I complained and asked for a refund they started discussing it with me. I got so upset that I just paid and left. This is the worst food I have ever eaten at a restaurant. Would not recommend
This was probably the worst dinner we had in Spain. We were well aware that this restaurant is tourist trap but my son was tired and we didn’t walk too far to find a different restaurant The seafood plate was just ok, the baby squids were dry, very few calamari, and fish was unseasoned We found hair in the patata bravas (potatoes) but we did not make a big deal about. We told the waiter and he totally dismissed our complaint We asked for the steak to be medium rare and we received it completely rare, blood was dripping out of it The waiters preferred to argue with us instead of apologizing for anything, when this was pointed out they ignored our statement and continued to argue and acted very unprofessional towards us
