Ce que disent les clients de The Cornice
Cornice Pizza is known for its convenient location near Kirkwood ski lifts and family-friendly atmosphere with games. While some praise the pizza and service, others find it overpriced with mediocre food quality, especially the pizza crust. Happy hour and friendly bartenders are positives.

We stayed at The Meadows by Kirkwood Resort with a view of Lifts #5 and #6 and...Cornice Pizza! We were visiting Kirkwood during a blizzard where CA-88 was closed so no traffic coming in or out. Cornice Pizza was one of the few (maybe only) restaurants open and it was so fun. Our bartender was awesome! Very knowledgeable about the beers and we loved the South Lake Tahoe local hoppy beer we selected. We also enjoyed the Pizza! We got the Veggie and added bacon. Had tons left over for breakfast and lunch the next day. Highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing and fast pizza! Vegan and gluten is also great tasting

Great value for the bottom of a ski resort. Free games include pool, pac man, and fooze ball. Clean, good family friendly environment. Pizza, sandwiches, chicken wings, salads and meatballs all hit the spot after an epic day on the mountain. Great place for a cold beer and some food.
Really great service, good food and great overall value
Atmosphere and ambiance were on point. Pizza was delicious and came out on time, crust was amazing and the service was supreme. Make sure KAT makes your pizza!!

Food was great idk why people were hating on it. It’s alittle expensive but you’re at a ski resort. Great service, happy hour prices are nice and pizza was great.

The supreme pizza was a bit salty, but overall it was good and very filling! The crust was particularly good. Our waiter was attentive--great service! We went on a Thursday and it was family friendly, but I've heard it gets rowdy on the weekends
Cornice pizza is back for 2022-2023 after a pandemic hiatus. The service is great, and the atmosphere is fun (free pool, foosball, and other games). The food is pretty expensive and only adequate. Pizzas start at $35 and are made with precooked crust, but at least the cheese was nice and melty. We got 4 servings out of the pizza though, so the per serving price isn't terrible, especially considering the remote location. Draft beers are surprisingly reasonable at $8/pint.
Not sure why everyone else is so salty. It's average thin crust pizza (that yes bears some resemblance to frozen grocery store pizza) with reasonable service in a nice little space right off the mountain. Oh and the prices are obviously high because: right off the mountain. Price elasticity of supply, people!

Not many other choices to eat after the lifts close. We were staying here a couple of nights and figured we would go out one night. The pizza is decent but not great. The service was fast though. We had our pizza within 15 minutes of ordering. It’s a thin crust pizza which probably helps with the speed. We ordered the pesto pizza and supreme. We also ordered a house salad which wasn’t a whole lot more than lettuce and a few tomatoes.

The bartender was super friendly and on point. Prices on pizza for what it is are crazy. Hopefully, kirkwood doesn't become "that kind of resort." Happy hour specials are pretty decent.

This place is the unique combination of expensive and bad. I make the mistake of going there once every two years hoping that they've improved. Nope. Last visit was $160 for 3 adults and 2 kids for mediocre pizza and an appetizer. Save yourself the headache and head to the 7800.
The menu online is out of date. The new menu has fewer option and is expensive. We had 6 smallish mozzarella sticks for $12, a 16" pizza for $43, and a cesar salad for $15. It was, without a doubt, the worst restaurant food I've had in a long time. If you want to just drink beer ($8) and play games this place is ok, but I definately wouldn't return to eat.
Let’s start with the positives: the food came out fast and the atmosphere is ok (the pool table helps that). Now the negatives: we ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and pepperoni for $60 combined. It was possibly the worst pizza I have ever had. It was extremely dry, cardboard crust, and the chicken was horrid. I will never eat here again and advise you to stay away if you want to enjoy your food. But if you are coming to hang out at the bar after a long day in the slopes then by all means…enjoy yourself a nice drink.

Service is overall inadequate. Went there twice (because there aren't many other options), and both times had problems with my order being incorrect, as well as being told incorrect instructions for where and how to order food (stemming from general laziness it seems). Food is expensive and well below average. Has a reasonable selection of beer, but frequently runs out of most options.
Kirkwood, what a great mountain, the og owners always had restaurants open and food was good. Then the VAIL resorts purchased Kirkwood, closed all food service and over the year's have a few places open this year if you call the Kirkwood inn message says they are open but NOT, not able to update voice mail not important to them only place open in evening is the cornice serving the worst frozen grocery store pizza at $42 do yourself a favor VAIL close it. The general store now has almost no food but has the best selection of 20 oz beers you will find anywhere.
I will preface this by saying I rarely post negative reviews and I’m one the most low-key customers. I rarely get upset about anything. We used to love this place after a day on the slopes. However, on my most recent visit to this restaurant I had the most inappropriate interaction I’ve ever experienced at any place of business. The bartender was rude, borderline aggressive, and so unprofessional, and there was NOTHING to justifiably provoke his behavior. I was in shock. There should be zero tolerance for that kind of behavior. The manager on site was kind and tried to make it better, but we probably won’t be going back. I’m sure it’s slim pickings when hiring staff due to location, but as an owner of a business, I’d rather come in myself and work than have staff who run customers out. I hope this gentleman gets training. And counseling. 🙏🏼
This place charged me $26 for a chicken sandwich. I was exited, I mean how can you mess up a spicy chicken sandwich? Well this was the only impressive part of the experience - that they could. They brought me a frozen chicken cutlet in a disgusting cold bun with cold cheese. You cannot justify $26 for the worst sandwich/burger I’ve ever had.
Worst ski resort food we had in a long time. Both the very limited options of the menu, with almost nothing healthy, but also the quality was just horrid. Pizza dough was like smooshed cardboard, the salad was disgusting, and the rest was underwhelming. Definitely will not come back there again - they redefined what we thought was the low bar on ski resort food.
I got a pizza there Wednesday night. Had food poisoning within an hour and have continued suffering for the next three days, even after medical The doctor suggest fecal contamination. Never, ever eat at this restaurant. I have made a report to the Health Dept.
