Avis sur Baker's Dozen Donuts Alpine
We stopped here for breakfast on our car ride back from Big Bend, and are so glad we did! The owner was super friendly. The glazed donuts were our favorite, they were so fluffy and delicious! The spinach kolache was also a fav!
Fat, soft, DELICIOUS DONUTS!! Everyone in our family loved the fresh softness. I personally loved the glazed donuts flavor. It tasted like vanilla sugar...mmmm
This place is so good, he always throws in an extra, super nice guy. Kolaches are to die for.
I’m from Europe and I was in Alpine for two days with my bf yet we managed to visit the store three times! This donuts are the best we’ve ever tasted and the customer service is also chef’s kiss! It’s been more than a year and we still talk about them!
Love this place. My son and I have been here five or six times in the past year as we passed through Alpine, and they are always friendly and have the best fresh donuts. My personal fav is the sour cream donuts with cinnamon sprinkles. Even when they're a day old, they are amazing. Stop by and get to know the owner. He has a great story to share while he's packing up your purchase, and has always given some extras to qualify that "baker's dozen" experience.
Absolutely some of the best donuts I've had regardless of what city. Incredible spinach cheese danishes. Your donuts can be filled on the spot with a choice of fillings such as Boston cream or raspberry. Great coffee. Other soft drinks. The kolaches were wonderful. The owner is a great gentleman and very hospitable.
Went in after spending the night at The Holland Hotel. Amazing! The best donuts I have ever had, filled fresh to order. Hubs got blueberry cake donuts and was surprised with extra in the bag. Probably a good thing we don’t live closer!
My family and I were in Alpine for a few days and stopped here every day. The owner is very kind and takes pride in his work. The donuts were amazing and not overpriced like I am used to in the bigger cities.
The donuts were so good that we went there again on the way out of town.
Our first visit was amazing. The gentleman behind the counter had impeccable customer service. The donuts smell amazing and he filled them while I was there! Next stop will be the sandwiches which also have good reviews and I am looking forward to going back later this week. Thank you so much for being so amazing!
The donuts are incredible and fresh! Super inexpensive too. It’s just a little unassuming shop, so your best bet is ordering at the counter and taking them on the road; not much in the way of “dining in.” The man behind the counter was very kind. You won’t be disappointed if you want a quick, delicious, indulgent breakfast.
This is some of the best donuts we have ever tasted. We aren't locals, We were taking our kids to the pool trying to find somewhere to take them to eat. We stopped here because they also had koleshes. 1st off we got 6 donuts which were delicious. Then we got little donut bites as well with 1/2 dozen koleshes. Definitely recommend. Great service!
I don't eat donuts at home, but when I'm in Texas I always get some. They don't have Dunkin' nor Krispy around here, it's all great little hometown shops like this one. The Airbnb I stay at is just around the corner, Baker's Dozen always had a good selection and friendly service. Take out only.
Came to visit family and stopped to get a dozen glazed donuts. These donuts are the best I've ever had. They're better then Krispy cream donuts! They're big, light, fluffy, perfect amount of sweet. 8.50 for a dozen and personally I think they're under balling themselves. That dozen could have easily been 10-12 dollars and would have been worth every pennie. I live in san antonio and a dozen here is 12 dollars and not nearly as big and yummy 😋 thanks for the experience!!
Happened upon this donut shop one day while in Alpine. Hands down the BEST donuts I have ever had!!! Not enough adjectives in the English language to describe just how good they are. Go taste for yourself, you will not be disappointed!
Absolutely delicious, fresh, real donuts. His chocolate covered chocolate cake donuts are the best. This is the only real donut shop in the Big Bend Region and we stop there every time we make the trek north to Alpine.
The best donuts and kolaches I have ever had. Better than Round rock Donuts hands down. This place is amazing.
These donuts have no reason to go so hard but they really do. The dough is perfect - crisp outside texture and fluffy inside, served warm and fresh. The glazes are perfectly sweet and cream filled donuts are delicious. Can’t go wrong here.
Amazing donuts and kolache! My girlfriend and I tried the blueberry donut, croissant donut, cinnamon-glazed donut and a jalapeño cheddar kolache (all for less than $5 total) and they were absolutely amazing! Pretty sure they put an extra donut or two in our bag - which some reviews mentioned. Donuts were soft and fluffy and we wish we’d bought more. Would definitely recommend them to anyone living in or passing through Alpine. Definitely worth it!
I love to walk in and see the owner, because he gives extras. Besides being generous, he makes good donuts too! One time I got a watered hot chocolate by the employee, but at my next visit, the owner gave me one free, and donuts.
Delicious donuts and pastries at a great price, went there twice in my trip.
The croissant donuts were spectacular! Pretty much the best I have ever had. The owner of this donut shop hand crafted 175 donuts for us for a wedding cake and people were raving for days about the deliciousness of these donuts!! The owner was responsive in all communications and really pulled through for us for this very special occasion!
Stopped by on my way through Alpine and had some of the best donuts of my life! Perfectly pillowy, great flavor and super fresh. I'd go out of my way to come back again if I'm ever in the area!
Came at 10 and got some blueberry cake doughnuts that were the most delicious, fresh and tasty doughnuts I think I have ever had. Excited to come back to Alpine for another chance to have real, fresh made doughnuts! They have other food if you need protein but we didn't order this time. Kolaches looked really good though!
Great little donut shop and friendly service. Always an extra donut stuck in the bag without you noticing!
Amazing lil shop of donuts, come quickly though for they run out quickly!! Ma favorite is the Jalapeño Cheddar Kolache! Their doughnuts are to die for! They all have that soft fresh buttery crisp to them that I love! Makes ma palette scream for joy 😊💗😻🤤 The staff are pleasant and very quiet lol, they hand out samples with orders from time to time, and that's very pleasing too!! I wish I could capture a photo or two, but as previously stated, they taste REALLY good 👍🏻😊 I have half a donut 😋🍩
We tried the Blaze donuts and the spinach and cheese one, and we can say that they are the best we have ever eaten. Wow, you really have to try them, they were fresh, crunchy and had so much flavor.
Best doughnut shop and kolaches ever! We stopped by here early this morning on our way back to Candelaria and got donuts for us and our ranchhands who were taking care of our ranch while we were out of town. Awesome food service and atmosphere as well as people as always. My wife loves the apple Fritters. Our daughter loves the donuts, and my son, as well as myself, love the kolaches I have to eat it at least once every time I'm in town! Wonderful people and place . A must try if you are in the area.
Stopped here on our way out of Alpine and so glad we did! It’s New Year’s Day, so this was our only option for coffee, and the drip was great. We ordered 2 kolaches, an old fashioned and a chocolate donut, and the owner hooked us up. Great prices and even better food!!!!
Great little hole in the wall! We stopped in here at 6:30 am on Thanksgiving and was not disappointed. The donuts were delicious and perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect texture. The man behind the counter was so friendly and even threw in 2 extra donuts. Coffee was great too!
BEST DONUTS OF ALL TIME!! We had Blueberry & Cinnamon Old Fashion. Owner is very kind and even gave us extra. Not to mention prices are unbeatable. MUST try if you’re in the area. 10/10 and not given lightly.
There’s no seating inside to eat the food. I’ve gotten the spinach and cheese croissant the last two times I’ve been in there and it’s always a delicious breakfast. The blueberry donuts were good too! They take cash and card. Staff is always super friendly. Support local business!
On a whim we stopped at this little donut shop at 5:45 a.m. because it was open. I’m so glad we did. My brother ordered an old-fashioned and a blueberry, and I ordered a chocolate-frosted cake donut and a pig in a blanket. The pig in a blanket was better than Mom’s, or at least as good, and the donuts were still warm and had a beautiful texture. I don’t want to eat a donut ever again that isn’t from this little hole in a wall.
The donuts here are really good, I really like the Red Velvet Cake one! They have a really nice selection when it comes to picking donuts & they also sell cold drinks to go with them. Their pigs in a blanket are great to! If you need a break, take it here & eat a donut. 🍩😊
I ate one of these glazed donuts at a wedding reception in Marfa. (Donut wedding cake!) it was so delicious that I had to find this bakery the next day and buy some more!
The apple fritter (bottom right of the box photo)is to die for, oh my goodness this is a masterpiece and an explosion of wonderful goodness in your mouth, bravo and job well done! Oh and blueberry cake is so fluffy and yummy too.

Passing by and stopped at this shop for a quick snack. Donuts are very delicious, owner was very nice and kind!
We had a variety of savory and sweet pastries and they threw in a couple free donuts. What's not to like.
Great donut shop - owner was jovial, and the donuts were well priced and tasty
The kolaches are excellent and the service is delightful. If you're on the road and looking for a fairly priced breakfast or lunch option, check out Baker's dozen donuts. The owner and the lady that helped us were very cool. The kids liked the donuts.
The owner was very respectful and very kind. He even gave me and my friends extra donuts. I recommend this place
Best French cruller donut I’ve ever had! Top notch service. Stop here on your way to big bend
My husband and I visited twice while we were in Alpine. The reviews were excellent and didn't disappoint. The pig in the blanket with cheese & the spinach & cheese breakfast pastry were excellent!! We also had chocolate, regular glazed and another cake like donut, they were all delicious and the owner was so sweet, we noticed he even gave us an extra donut complimentary, you don't find this kind of service, quality or value now a days it's rare and very much appreciated! I highly recommend his business when your in Alpine! Come early because this place is popular and donuts sell fast! The best value is the dozen but all the pastries are super inexpensive. Support small businesses:)
We changed our plans to get to buy the donuts again on our way back from the Big Bend. These donuts deserve more recognition. They’re simply excellent! I can definitely recommend to anyone travelling through Alpine. It’s definitely worth it!
Stopped by at 11a, limited selection at that point (another half hour more fresh would have been ready). Thoroughly enjoyed the donuts and friendly service. Donuts were top tier among those we've sampled from Alaska to Florida. 💛
Your favorite donuts and kolaches on the planet live here! Once you try one of their croissant donuts, no other donut will do. 😉 And sometimes they tuck an extra donut or two in your takeout box just because! 😍
Delicious donuts and pastries at a great price, went there twice in my trip.

If you want donuts drive any where else, oh that’s right, they’re the ONLY donut shop. This shop’s motto is “come back in 40” and you still wait another 20- if you’re lucky. You end up buying your stuff an item at a time over an hour and a half span.
My girls wanted donuts today. They only had old fashioned. They told me, "It's church day." It appears they try to make the exact number of donuts they are going to sell so if you don't order any ahead of time, you are probably out of luck! If it wasn't for my daughters, I would probably never go back!
We parked our 24ft rv in a shared parking lot near the road planning on doing laundry at the laundromat and getting a donut. The lot was less than half full and the spots next to the businesses were not used. We were parked for less than 2 minutes when the donut shop owner came out yelling we couldn't park there and threatening to call the police. All he had to do was ask us to move but he took it to 1000% from the get go. What a jerk! And to top it off the posted hours indicate the donut shop isn't even open after noon
It does not deserve a 1 star TOTALLY THE WORST FOOD, SERVICE, EXPERIENCE, EVER! The DONUT FAIRY FIED!
