Crystal Springs Inn B & B

This place feels like staying with relatives you did not know you were about to love. We stayed in the Jade Room after a snowy drive over Donner Pass, and Jenn and Jodi had everything warm, spotless, and ready when we arrived. The house was glowing with holiday lights and felt immediately comforting. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the famously named “damn apple cake,” which absolutely lives up to expectations. After breakfast, I had a spirited tug-of-war match with Bouncer, their absurdly cheerful bulldog. I lost, happily. They are very proud of their water, and they should be. Bring containers and fill a gallon or two before you leave. A cozy, welcoming, genuinely special place.

We loved our stay here, the hosts were so nice and very hospitable. Jenn offered to make us muffins in the morning, we felt like we were right at home. There were lots of great movies on dvd and the kitchen was well equipped. 10/10 would recommend especially if you’re on your way to Tahoe and I-80 is closed in the winter. :)

I didn't stay there I just met a friend there but soon as we pulled up there and rolled the windows down it was the most beautiful smell I ever smelled in my life the pine trees and the Christmas tree thats all u smell is the trees

You will know this place is special the moment you drive up. Jenn and Jodi are so welcoming and treat you like part of the family. Not to mention Dot, the fully enthusiastic four-legged greeter. The place itself is gorgeous with historical charm, thoughtful decor, and special touches like in-room fireplaces, crystal accents, thick fuzzy towels and yummy smelling bath products. My room even had a heated mattress pad which was sheer bliss on cool nights. Then there are the views, the property is surrounded on all sides by pines sending out their lovely fragrance in the sun. There is also a pool out front and a lake just down the road with boat rentals, which I'm sure is incredible in the Summer months. The location is perfectly situated in the Sierras just minutes from pretty much any outdoor adventure you can imagine. What really takes it to another level are the delicious family meals, porch socials, art nights and being immersed in the overall warm positive vibe that Jenn and Jodi have created. We will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for an experience and not just a place to stay!

Highly recommended! Was treated like a king by Jenn and Jodie. Beautiful old house with modern updates. And they have this awesome heater on the porch. You can sit on the porch in 30 degrees and comfortable.
