Es un lindo restaurante en el casco antiguo de Altea que se distingue de los demás tanto por ser el único restaurante con puertas azules, como por su excelente servicio y la calidad de la comida. Hemos ido en varias ocasiones en una de ellas pedimos el arroz caldoso con bogabante que estaba delicioso con mucho sabor, como sugerencia, si quieres pedirlo, debes preguntar que días está disponible ya que es una especialidad fuera de la carta. La última vez que fuimos, pedimos varios platos todos estaban excelente, empezando con un Carpaccio de Wagyu con almendras y rugula, la Crepa de Salmón con su salsa cremosa, el Foie Gras combinado con el dulce de la mermelada es mágico, como plato fuerte seguimos con el Magret de Pato que estaba excelente además de ser una porción generosas y el Entrecote en su punto, para terminar compartimos un Helado de Café con licor, muy buena combinación para terminar.
Un lugar fantástico en el centro de Altea. El ambiente es elegante y acogedor, el servicio muy amable y la comida excelente. El magret de pato estaba perfecto: tierno por dentro y crujiente por fuera, lleno de sabor. Se nota que aquí cocinan con pasión. ¡Totalmente recomendable, volveremos sin duda!
Fuimos a este restaurante para celebrar una ocasión especial y fue todo un acierto. La cena superó nuestras expectativas: el pato estaba exquisito, la lasaña de langostinos deliciosa y la tortita de salmón, perfecta como entrada. Cada plato fue una auténtica maravilla. El servicio, además, fue impecable: atentos, amables y cuidando cada detalle, lo que hizo la velada aún más especial. Una experiencia realmente agradable de principio a fin. La comida está elaborada con ingredientes frescos y de alta calidad, y cada plato es un deleite para el paladar. La atención del personal es impecable, siempre atentos y dispuestos a hacer que la visita sea especial. El ambiente es acogedor y perfecto tanto para una cena en pareja como para una reunión con amigos. Sin duda, un lugar al que regresaré y que recomiendo a todos los que valoran un buen servicio y una excelente comida.

La comida estaba espectacular, me gustaron especialmente los crepes de camembert y salmón, una auténtica delicia. Se nota el cariño en cada plato y la calidad de los ingredientes. Además, recibimos un trato increíble por parte del personal. Me encanta poder conocer de verdad un lugar a través de su gente, y no caer en sitios turísticos vacíos de alma. Aquí fue justo lo contrario: cercanía, autenticidad y amabilidad desde el primer momento. Fueron muy atentos y siempre con una sonrisa, lo que hizo que la cena fuera muy agradable. Sin duda, cuando volvamos a Altea repetiremos. Muy recomendable.
⭐️ Excelente ambiente, atención, género y variedad de platos. Pasábamos por el Restaurante L’Obrador dirigiéndonos hacia nuestra reserva en La Capella y gracias a Carlos (el dueño) que nos hizo la invitación a probar su arroz meloso con bogavante, nos dimos la media vuelta para sentarnos en su terraza. Nos dejamos llevar por su sugerencias de entrantes, una 🥗 ensalada de bonito, tomate, cebolla y guindilla con un toque de aceite de calidad y unas anchoas con pimientos piquillo, estupendas. 🥘De segundo el arroz que la foto no hace justicia. Perfectamente cocinado y no uno si no dos bogavantes de buen tamaño, le daban un sabor estupendo. MUY RECOMENDABLE 🤩 Terminamos con dos postres, la tarta tatin 🥮🍨 y tarta de queso con un toque de queso azul 🍮 ibuenísimas! 🤝🏽El trato, estupendo, Carlos nos atendió como si nos conociera de toda la vida. Con esa cercanía y atención al detalle que caracterizan a un Bilbaino 🤍❤️ iAdemás cuidó de nuestro perro y no nos puso pegas para tenerlo con nosotros! iGracias! Volveremos 🤩

No entiendo la puntuación tan baja de verdad. Lo veo un poco injusto porque al final hay gente como yo que nos dejamos llevar por las reseñas, suerte que no vi ninguna reseña antes de comer aquí porque entonces no hubiéramos disfrutado de una deliciosa comida. Para empezar, destaco la amabilidad de Carlos que hace que disfrutes de una buena gastronomía. Trabaja en hostelería y es un oficio duro, pero siempre tiene una sonrisa y un buen trato con sus clientes, desde luego sabe como tratar a la gente. Nos recomendó su plato estrella (crepes de camenberg y salmón, delicioso). Yo pedí el entrecot y mi novio el bacalao. El servicio del restaurante también fue muy amable y educado. El local es precioso, tanto por dentro como la terraza de fuera. Ambos quedamos satisfechos y puedo decir con seguridad que volveremos. Muchas gracias Carlos!
Simpatiquísimos! No nos daban una mesa en ningún bar de las terrazas de al lado para tomar un vino y al pasar por la puerta (ya yéndonos de la zona porque era imposible) el dueño nos dijo que nos sentáramos a tomar un vino , nos trajeron un par de vinos tintos, con unas aceitunas muy ricas. Han sido súper amables y simpáticos, además de rápidos y serviciales. De verdad que da gusto dar con gente así de encantadora! Gracias!!
Fui con una pareja de amigos de Villa joyosa, (ellos van desde pequeñitos) me dijeron que me iba a encantar … y tuvieron toda la razón 😁, todo lo que pedimos estaba buenísimo , ( crepe de salmón de entrante , y de segundos , canelones de marisco , pasta de bogavante y rabo de toro ) para chuparse los dedos todo! El servicio fenomenal y el l dueño ,Carlos creo que se llama , que es de Bilbao fue quien mismo nos atendió y sirvió , atento en cada momento y un Crak , gracias por todo niño , volveré , muy recomendable y aconsejable!

Had the best entrecôte steak for lunch! I loved everything about this place: the enthusiasm of the owner and waiter; the delicious food, wine and gratis homemade digestif to follow. I saw fresh lobsters being delivered and now hope to return for lobster rice. The outside menu emphasises crepes and pizza but make no mistake, this is quality cuisine. The interior is quite beautiful so maybe I’ll make my return an evening. Recommended!
We’ve eaten here for over 20 years and it is our favorite. Crepes with meat or salmon are a great starter. The duck is amazing and the kids love the carbonara. Amazing people that always makes you feel welcome

Excellent food in Altea old town, we had delicious Seabass & Turbot. Our waiter Carlos was very friendly & accommodating. He made a big fuss about our party of 5. I highly recommend.

Had a cracking time at L'Obrador. Our waiter was so upbeat and made the evening much better. The food was spot on, especially the Spaghetti Arrabiata which had a perfect, spicy kick to it. It’s in a lovely spot in the old town as well, absolutely no regrets coming here. Prices expected for such location.
I have visited here, twice already this week and was surprised by the negative reviews I found here. The food tastes great, the limoncello is absolutely amazing (honestly it's like a lemon slush puppy with alcohol), beautiful building and the staff, especially the owner are the reason we've been back, and intend to go back again this week. It's such an amazing friendly welcoming atmosphere, and that is always the thing I remember the most, the atmosphere. The food and drink tasting great is definitely a bonus, but a great atmosphere is priceless 10/10
Myself and my partner stopped for dinner and the food was impeccable. She had the duck and said it was the best duck she'd ever had. I myself had the ox tail and it just fell off the bone, so tender and the sauce rich with flavour Service was outstanding, our waiter left no stone unturned, and tender to us like royalty. I understand a lot of places in the area can seem like tourist traps, but honestly I would recommend. It was the perfect end to our holiday

Lovely small pizza and sangria. But well over priced. We paid 60 Euro for two small pizza's and a liter of Sangria. Where we paid half of that at the reatuarant opposite for a huge pizza and a liter of sangria. Leason learned.

L’Obrador es una excelente opción para disfrutar de una comida en Altea. Destacan sus pizzas, que estaban muy buenas, y la sopa de cebolla, que fue todo un acierto. Los postres también estuvieron a la altura, redondeando la experiencia con un buen sabor final. Lo único que dejó que desear fue el cuchillo, ya que resultó complicado cortar las pizzas. Si mejoraran este detalle, la experiencia sería prácticamente perfecta. En general, un lugar recomendable para quienes buscan buena comida en un ambiente agradable.

La comida está buena, bien elaborada y los productos de calidad. No obstante, la cantidad para el precio que tiene lo hemos considerado un poco escaso sobre todo en las carnes (solomillo y entrecotte). Además, no sabemos porqué pero entre el entrante y los segundos platos hemos tenido que esperar más de 45 minutos. Eso sí, los camareros han sido amables y nos han tratado bien. Altea un pueblo muy bonito y tranquilo, y este restaurante de los pocos abiertos no italiano de esa zona del pueblo (donde la iglesia).

All this is before they add an extra 10% to the bill. Not clear what this was for even after he'd tried to explain - whether it's tax or service charge it's not mentioned up front, nor was it noted on the menu. Eaten out lunch and dinner every day for 10 days while in Altea - only time we weren't charged menu prices and only time we've felt we've been taken for a ride as tourists. Avoid - much better choices all around the old town.

Te abordan en la calle para que pases , una vez dentro intentan venderte lo máximo posible,es muy caro aunque la comida está bastante buena. Fatal experiencia la que vivimos en el restaurante. El dueño fuera de sí, es más o menos entendible porque en agosto no dan a basto. Nos metió prisa con los cafés porque quería sentar a otra mesa y hubo varios momentos de tensión m. Abismal!!!! Any Italian would sooner die than serve up this shameful inferior trash. The owner is laughing as he charges significantly more for considerably less than his competition. Avoid this place like the plague!! My parents and I ate dinner last night at this restaurant. I realised almost immediately that we had been taken advantage of. The pizza was exactly like the frozen ones you buy in the supermarket, very small, tasteless, dry and worst of all expensive. We left angry and disappointed. Go to Stromboli just up the street, it's far better and reasonably priced.
The worst restaurant of my Life. I didn’t know if I was eating a pizza or a pièce of paper. I would have preferred to eat plastic than the salad I had in my plate. And of course it’s expansive ! At least the waiters had the smile even if they took us in photo discreetly without our consent. And if you want to take a cofee you can’t, they don’t have coffee. Take my advice seriously, run away from this restaurant
So disappointing to be in such an amazing town and have such an awful dinner. The food really was terrible, very expensive and the service was even worse, and we really didn't appreciate the swearing because the card machine didn't work. I've never come across such a rude waiter.
What an absolute rip off! We ordered our food (pizza, which was more expensive than the restaurant opposite) and it was suggested by the manager/owner that we have two crepes for the three of us as a starter which we accepted. Admittedly we didn’t ask the price but when the bill arrived we’d been charged over €30 for the two crepes! We discussed this with the manager who wasn’t at all interested and only wanted the payment. He had a terrible attitude and was clearly out to fleece all of the tourists in Altea old town. What a shame. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
This place serves terrible pizzas. Pizzas are about half size as a normal Italian pizza, and they are not homemade at all as the waiter described when ordered. The bun tastes like cardboard mache. My guess is that the rest of the food is of same quality. We complained to the owner, but he dudn’t take it well. His answer «this is our pizza». Prices starts from 13 euros for cheapest pizza. Very low quality Cava from Euro 7. I’ve been to many restaurants, but this is probably one of the worst. My reccomendation: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. It’s a scam!
Don‘t go there - it‘s a trap (for tourists). Pizza salmon (not the italian way you know) in the size of a starter for 17€ plus tax is way too expensive. For my pizza (pizza alteana) they didn‘t even peel the garlic. Bad quality, bad service and bad price. They do everything to make you leave the table as soon as possible. It‘s less than one star. Killed my day.
