If you’re looking for hot tea or a gluten free breakfast, come here! The hot black tea was decent quality and brewed properly. They offer eggs Benedict on sliced avocado instead of bread, which was fantastic.

I LOVE this place. Easily one of my favorite restaurants in CDMX. The food tastes fresh, clean, and delicious - I’ve literally never ordered anything I didn’t like. The drinks are great as are the pastries. I love how it’s on a quiet street just a few blocks away from Coyoacan centro, the vibe is easy and chill and it has a slight Mediterranean feeling to it.

We had breakfast here on the patio upstairs among the plants. I had the huevos benedictinos (awesome hollandaise sauce) and my partner had a special called huevos santa Maria. Also comes with great coffee and jugos. Excellent service as well.

A rustic little coffeeshop with a nice terrace. The food was excellent and the service attentive. It's worth getting there early as the place fills up quickly.

My cousins and I recently visited Fortunata Cafe and had a wonderful experience. We sat in the balcony, which surrounded my so many beautiful plants. The owner was very welcoming and took time to come talk to us and explain the menu to us. The food was one of the best we had during our stay in Mexico City. Everything was tasty and beautifully presented. The coffee and juice were also very tasty. Highly recommend this quaint cafe!!

R

Exceptional breakfast experience. The staff is so friendly and the food is phenomenal. We ordered the Tres Leches hot cakes, chilaquiles, espresso, café de olla, chocolate caliente, tea, and juice. 100% recommend. Thank you!

This is the best breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in Coyoacan. We went here four times during our stay in the area because we couldn't get enough. The owner is a sweetheart, he's also the owner/chef of Santa Lucia next door. Both are fantastic, but Fortunata stole our hearts and stomaches. Get the scones and lemon lavender cake. The chilaquiles de mole with arrachera is one of the best dishes I had in my two weeks here. Sit upstairs in the outside patio surrounded by plants and you'll be in heaven.

On a recent trip to Coyoacan, we visited this resto and its sister location, Santa Lucia, four times. Delish food, welcoming service and lovely atmosphere. Chef/owner Sergio made us feel welcome and even gave us a present of homemade honey with honeycomb to take back home. Highly recommended!

The place is awesome, especially the terace behind the building. For breakfast they offer typical Mexican dishes. Further, the internet is excellent and we could even work a bit there.

Cute cafe with excellent cake and food. Good opportunity to earwig some foreigner chats as well, if you are so inclined. It’s one of those places where if you ask for milk, you’re confronted with the burden of choice - soy, coconut, almond or ordinary

We loved this little restaurant, especially our table on the second floor with a view overlooking the park. We had the tres leches pancakes and the chicken enchiladas with mole. All excellent. The meals come with a sweet to start, juice and coffee. A good deal! Our server was gracious and very patient with our attempts at Spanish. A great place to linger before walking through Coyoacan.

Food was absolutely phenomenal, some of the best huevos rancheros I have ever had, but coffee was mediocre at best. Watered down espresso drink, not great quality. Would come back but for food only.

Love the setup of this cafe. It's like a tree house for spot. Very nice, natural, and hospitable. I ordered the salmon bagel which came with yellow watermelon (tastes like cotton candy). And then I also ordered the lemongrass tea which came with real lemongrass herb in the mug. It was really refreshing. This is one of those spots you go to for more natural, lowly processed foods and a good ambient. It also wasn't super busy and a block or so away from the center park so it felt really peaceful.

In looking for a good brunch spot Fortunata Cafe showed up in my Google search with relatively positive reviews. This is a very cute cafe with a nice outdoor seating area upstairs full of plants. While the outside seating area is a bit cramped it is a little oasis in the city. We found service to be very good - the cafe was not busy & we found wait times to be very reasonable. Staff were attentive & made good recommendations. Food was very good & came out hot. 2 mineral waters, coffee, fruit & 2 meals came to 455 MEX - very reasonable.

Don't get me wrong, the food here was definitely tasty. But the prices I feel, didn't quite equally represent the quantity of food I was getting. If your looking for good atmosphere with your food, this is for you. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat that won't break the bank, you might consider other places. Would definitely recommend this place for a first date.

Cute little quiet place with nice staff. The Greek salad and pasta was very good. Would not recommend the pizza. 1 star for that.

We had breakfast here on 2025-10-05. Good place, good food, reasonable price, just one of the servers was not really awake yet. Molletes with aguacate were really good. Coffee on the weak side for me but would come again.
