The food is absolutely delicious. The corn tortillas are fresh and hand-made. The atmosphere is genuine and they have gorgeous original oil paintings on the walls. The picture uploaded is what was left on my plate after I ate about a 3/4 of the proportion they served. I didn't know I was going to like it so much.

All I can say is, this place is a phenomenal find! The Barbacoa Tacos are incredible! I ordered mine with their hotter sauce and a few extra roasted Jalepenos, and all I can say is I have been craving it ever since I left. Service is attentive and the food is great. Mexican Food? El Charro!!!

I had been here about 5 years ago on business and enjoyed my experience here. I found myself back in town on business yet again and wanted to see how they were doing. The restaurant was starting to fill up during dinner time but I was quickly seated. Brenda was my server and she was very polite and attentive. Chips and salsa arrived. The chips were just ok and the non-hot salsa was in a squeeze bottle. This did not work with the chips because the salsa was so runny and I made a mess on the table trying to eat it with chips. I ordered the chicken taco plate with rice and beans. The food arrived at a timely manner. A squeeze bottle of hotter salsa arrived and it was very easy to apply it to the tacos. 😁 The corn tortillas tasted so fresh. The chicken was good and the ingredients were fresh. The rice and beans were very tasty, as I added the hot salsa to them. I would definitely come back but just ask that the restaurant provides better table salsa for the chips. I would definitely recommend this place to Mexican food lovers!

Love LOVE the Chile Verde, it's the best in town (forgot to get a pic)!! The fajitas and tacos are very good and their Mexican rice is incredible! Service is hit or miss, but the food is still worth taking the chance.

It was nice but a drugged out lady came in and bugged the staff then came to my table and asked to use my phone then just hovered over our table staff told her to leave us alone but she didnt so much. Wish the staff would've either removed her or told her to stop being by the other customers. Weird experience would love to come back and try it again. Cause the food was pretty good!

Mixture of good and underwhelming. Service was very good. Ordered the AL Pastor taco plate. Chips and were complimentary. The chips were excellent, although the salsa tasted like unflavored tomato water. The food was prompt from kitchen. The taco meat was a bit dry and tasted nothing like traditional al pastor meat (no grilled pineapple). Even so, it was was still edible, especially with the special taco sauce that they provided.

BEWARE! Unauthorized funds were taken out from my debit card. In all of my experiences going to restaurants I have never had this happen to me. Please save your receipts and double check your bank accounts!

El Charro, in Amarillo. That would be a strong pass. Watered down salsa, stale, watery beans, (they dont do charro 6) plan chips, my chile rellenos was watery, chicky tenders were from frozen, my husband didn't like his at all. All the food seemed to have no flavor. 2nd disappointment at an attempt to find good Mexican food.
