Tip: If you're trying the seafood boil, be mindful of the spice level; some found 'spicy' to be too intense and recommend opting for 'mild' instead.

Good food at a fair price. I'll be back next time I'm in Amarillo TX. Update 2/18/26; Been here several times now and the food is always hot, delicious and fresh. I'd recommend the "Perfect Storm" meal. Be sure you come hungry, it's alot of food! Ask for Jamie, she is awesome!
Some of the best Cajun food I have had in a long time, and this coming from someone who always celebrates crawfish season a little too much! Sit at the bar and ask for Dillen. I never went 30 seconds without a refill when I needed one! Also a really great value- especially for the size of the boils!
Went for my son's birthday. His choice was the Cajun seafood boil with clams, crawfish and lobster tail with garlic butter sauce. It also comes with corn and potatoes, which also are very flavorful. Having been cooked with the garlic butter. We had the calamari, appetizer, which I've had calamari in the past, and it's proved to not be my favorite. But this was pretty good.
The food was very good. The Catfish Cowboys were excellent and our grandaughter enjoyed the Mini Snowcrab Boil. Our server was quite efficient and friendly. The decor is unique with its nautical and fishing theme. The prices were not outrageous, but, then again, not cheap either. Overall, it was a pleasant seafood experience.
Food : main dishes were delicious. Would not get the clam chowder again, not the best I've had. Hubby had a boil with crab, shrimp, potatoes, and corn on cob. Was delicious. I had fried shrimp and sweet potato fries. Shrimp was huge and very tasty. Waitress was wonderful.
Wonderful food! First time with Hook & Reel food, we Door Dashed catfish baskets with Cajun fries, and an order of hush puppies. The food arrived quickly and the fish was so fresh it was almost too hot to eat! Fabulous crunchy breading on the fish. Excellent fries. Hush puppies are moist, flavorful and crispy. Tarter sauce is tasty. Looking forward to trying other selections from Hook & Reel!
In town passing through on vacation. Well worth the trip!! Food and drinks were delicious. Service ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Mac served us with a smile on her fa e and very respectful. Stayed on top of service without over lingering or most importantly, without missing a beat. Atmosphere was relaxing and smell was inviting.Thank you MAC
As soon as you enter the doors you can smell how good the food is. I ordered a Creole Creamsicle and some fried calamari to start. I really liked the Cajun seasoned salt rim. The calamari was cooked perfectly, nice and crunchy batter on the outside. The shrimp without heads, crawfish boil with spicy garlic seasoned butter was delicious! Only came with 1 piece of corn and 2 hard boiled eggs, lots of sausage pieces, crawfish, shrimp, & seasoning. Definitely a good price! My waiter Zayy was incredible, friendly, and kind. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Amarillo.
This place has one of the best seafood boils I have had. We tried several items on the menu being that it was our first try. Everything was excellent, and great service. We went with "spicy" on the boil, and it was a little much for us, we would get mild in the future. Other than that it was a great experience. We will definitely be back.
I’ve been here 2x and ordered Grubhub 1x The times I have been there I was a little disappointed with the service. The servers don’t really like to hang around. I don’t know if that is due to customers saying they hang around too much, but both times I was there I didn’t get a drink refill until the check showed up. I was a little sad by that because I drink a lot while I eat. The food is top notch though. Absolutely amazing tasting. The only complaint I have about the food was my last order. I ordered clams, mussels, and shrimp. Most of the clam and mussel shells were empty. I got maybe 1/3 of each with something in them. I was very disappointed because the food is so amazing, I wish the shells hadn’t been empty. But the flavor of the food is to die for. No complaints there.
As a bar and restaurant establishment, it's quite comfortable and the atmosphere is very nice. I really enjoyed the lobster plate with sweet potato fries. Hushpuppies as an appetizer couldn't have come any sooner. We were very hungry after taking my grandson to the kart racing track outside of the city. He wanted to create his own boil plate. He just loved the snow crab and the crawfish boil. The gumbo, clam chowder, and the lobster bisque were very delicious and fulfilling. They had good service, although she could have checked on us more often. They keep their bathrooms very clean and well stocked. We found this place a cozy, enjoyable, relaxing restaurant. Prices are a bit higher but well expected. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was not that good. It did taste as though it was a boxed item and thawed in the box it came it as well.
Ordered the crawfish was pretty disappointed, extremely small crawfish and very little flavor but my server was very nice and attentive
Calamari was decent, wings were good, crab legs must've came from Ethiopia by how skinny they were, Po Boy had more lettuce and tomato than a vegan buffet hardly any fish.
I ordered the "Combo Platter" with fried catfish and shrimp ($16.50). I upgraded my side to crabmeat fries ($4.00). It was an okay meal served hot and fresh with ample portions. It is not something I'd order again. The fish has a fried chicken type batter. It does have flavor. It is not the cornmeal coated flaky fried catfish I prefer. (If you prefer the same, I suggest Da Weekend’Z, Sam's Southern Eatery, or FatCat aka Freddie's Fish and Grill.) The fries were bland, but I liked the crab meat and its sauce. The fried shrimp was not flavorful. I also liked the cocktail and tartar sauces. I sat at the bar. I like the vibe of the restaurant. The bartenders were nice and attentive. I will give Hook & Reel another try for the seafood boil.
⚠️ DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE⚠️ After our dining experience today, I can confidently say that this has been the worst Experience here to date. Not only was the food that I received borderline stale, my server Brittanie C was hands-down rude, checked in on me only 4 time total and took over 45 minutes to give me the check after I was done eating. Was super passive aggressive when I was placing my order with a “that’s it?” When I was done ordering. Not only was she rude to me, but she was also rude to my fiancé! To add the cherry on top, my fiancé overheard her complaining to a coworker of hers stating that “people are spending hundreds of dollars and not leaving me a tip” I wonder why! You can at least pretend that you care about your job, especially when you are expected to be tipped! Needless to say my fiancé and I will not be back anytime soon for the foreseeable future! *Edit* It was discovered this morning that after eating here last night, my fiancé and I have developed a mild case of food poisoning, so we will DEFINITELY NOT be back!
Usually have good experience here but today me and my friend ordered the crack and peel to share (which comes with 2 potatoes and a corn) and all we ordered extra was sausage and a side of rice. Our server misunderstood us and our boil came with 2 corns and no potatoes. We had already started eating when we noticed that we were missing the potatoes so we asked our server if we could get them since that’s what we really wanted since we don’t usually eat the corn to begin with. Our server then asked to take out the extra corn so she could take it back into the kitchen which we found really weird because we had already started eating out of our boil so we asked to speak to a manager, who then proceeded to tell us they have to do that to prove to the kitchen that we weren’t trying to get “free” food. In all actuality we just wanted what was supposed to come with the boil. I’ve never been to a restaurant where they take things out of a customers plate because of a mistake on the servers part and mostly it just seems unhygienic because do we really know if they are throwing it away. We couldn’t care less about the corn it’s just the principle of them taking something back to the kitchen that we had already touched around.
The greeter, she was rude. She gave me a dirty look when I came in & when I left. She didn't speak at all. The cashier, she had a nasty attitude. She just eyeballed me with a dirty look as i was paying You need to train your workers with better customer service skills. The food was sloppily prepared. It look like they just threw it in the box. Very nasty ppl. They just seemed surprised that someone like me was coming into their restaurant.
