While traveling from Houston to New Mexico, I stopped there for lunch with my family and I was impressed with the buffet food . Butter Naan , Garlic naan , Butter chicken was awesome. Other non vege items were good. Vegetarian items (as per my wife) was 3 out of 5. Service was very nice. Worth stopping.
Great food and attentive servers. It's our first time trying Indian Food and was surprised with the quality and selection they have for their lunch buffet. Will definitely be back.
This is THE place for fresh, filling, delicious Indian cuisine! We had the Valentine’s Day buffet and enjoyed getting to sample a variety of dishes offered on the menu!
Immersive experience! Beautiful music videos are played via the large tv on one wall to delight the crowd. Lunch buffet lets there be a chance to pick a little of all the goodies. Pleasant to the eyes, divine smells, and tantalizing to the taste buds. Service is kind and clean. Any questions they are happy to answer if help is needed with knowing about the dishes served. Try them out! I have always left so stuffed when attending. Food comma happiness for the rest of the day.
We have eaten at 45 Indian restaurants in 14 states and 5 countries. Sai Indian Cuisine rates in our top 5 favorites! We enjoyed the variety of dishes on the lunch buffet. The food was flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return soon!! (By the way, Sai brings some of their food to the Northwest Texas Hospital cafeteria on Mondays and Tuesdays. This is where we first learned about the restaurant. The next time we were in Amarillo, we decided to go to the restaurant and try the buffet. )
Sai Indian Cuisine has one of the best Indian buffets I’ve had! For just $15.99 per person, the buffet is really awesome with a wide variety of dishes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well maintained. Amazing value for money — highly recommended!
We have been to Sai restaurant on our way to Colorado. I haven’t come across Indian restaurant in road trips which are very authentic. They have wide spread of India cuisine both veg and non vegetarian dishes. Ambience is good. Owner of the place is very friendly and warmly. I would highly recommend this place if you pass through Amarillo.
Very friendly staff and generous portions. Goat curry was deliciously spicy, butter chicken had so many dimensions to the flavor. Also surprise dish of the night was the chicken fried rice my daughter order, so many flavors. As always had to get a mango lassi. You won’t be disappointed.
We loved this place so much we dined here twice—it was great both times! The food is authentic and delicious. Don't miss the Chilli Chicken, Biryani, and Jeera Rice! The buffet offers a good, varied selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries. Even the Coffee and masala dosa were great. This is a highly recommended spot and a perfect place to stop!
We were passing through Amarillo on the way to Colorado and my wife really wanted Indian food so we stopped here. We enjoyed the buffet very much and the service was really attentive and good. The food was really good and when I asked if I could get the chicken tikka masala spicier, they delivered. My wife really enjoyed the vegetarian options they had. This will definitely be a place we hit again on our roadtrip home
Fantastic! Courteous, friendly service, quiet and comfortable atmosphere and the food was outstanding. We started with Idli (steamed buns) as an appetizer — it would make a wonderful lunch by itself, as the 4 buns are served with 2 curries plus a wonderful lintel soup. We then ordered 3 different vegetarian dishes and garlic naan. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.
I frequent every Indian restaurant in town. Figured I'd try a new one and was not disappointed. Wasn't planning for a buffet but was greeted with a smile and offered a look at the buffet before I decided. For entrees I tried the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and chili chicken and all were very well seasoned and tasteful. The buffet was missing spice, I asked the waiter if anything on the line was spicy, he stated no due to most that visit didn't want spicy. He offered me a mango spice mix that blew my mind! This restaurant is a must try and immediately moved to the top of my Indian cuisine list for Amarillo
Yesterday, we visited Sai Indian Cuisine, a family-owned and operated restaurant, and had a wonderful experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and truly delicious. As vegetarians, we were happy to find everything we wanted on the menu, and the staff even customized a curry to match our taste and preferences. The hospitality was warm, and the authentic flavors exceeded our expectations and cravings. This is definitely one of the best places to visit for authentic Indian food, and we’ll surely be coming back on our way back from Colorado.
Great Telugu Indian restaurant in Amarillo. We dined here twice and both times the experience was great Chilli chicken, Jeera Rice, Biryani, watermelon and curries were great . Buffet had a good selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Filter Coffee and tea were great too, good place to stop
This place was recommended to me and it did not disappoint. The food is Delicious and the portions are more than Generous. The supper I had here on 9.24.2024 was Amazing, and Bravo to the gentlemen that served me. I Highly Recommend this restaurant, and I will definitely eat here again.
The food was very good. Very authentic. Very spicy and hot too. The butter chicken even had a really nice creaminess and depth of flavor. However, the service was just off. I was asked 4 times to leave a google review, once by the server holding an NFC tag at me. Also, no refills on soda which is annoying at $3 a piece. I’m open to change my review after going to the lunch buffet, but for dinner I think this would be excellent take out.
Sai Indian Cuisine offers an exceptional dining experience with an impressive selection of traditional Indian dishes. With a remarkable 4.8 rating, this restaurant is known for its rich, flavorful curries, tender meats, and perfectly spiced vegetarian options. The menu features a variety of dishes, from aromatic biryanis to creamy butter chicken, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great place for both casual meals and special occasions.
Food was spicy for me, but very favorable. I assume spicy means more authentic, right? I enjoyed the lunch buffet with several options. The butter chicken was awesome. The gulab jamin (wheat flour balls soaked in syrup) was addictive! The syrup was warm. It was nice to have chutney and rice pudding in a separate cold case. Clean and comfortable atmosphere
I recently visited Sai Indian Cuisine in Amarillo and had a mixed experience. The service was great—the staff was attentive and accommodating. The food was decent, as some dishes lacked the authentic flavors I was hoping for. However, the ambiance is on par, providing a comfortable dining experience. One thing that stood out was their customer-first attitude—if you're not satisfied with a dish, they'll replace it immediately, which is really impressive. Overall, it's a good option for a one-time visit if you're looking for decent Indian cuisine and excellent service.
I ordered the Vegetable Biryani and Gobi Manchurian with the request to make them spicy Indian-style. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The biryani was more like plain rice mixed with frozen vegetables, and it didn’t have the authentic flavors I expected. The Gobi Manchurian tasted heavily of Sriracha sauce and didn’t resemble the traditional dish at all. On a positive note, the staff member who handed me my to-go order was very nice, and the restaurant itself looked clean and welcoming. If I visit again, I’ll likely try something else on the menu, but I wouldn’t order these two dishes again.
