A small but thriving business in the heart of the university area in Oaxaca. It's run by very attentive and helpful people who make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. Their menu, while limited, is spot-on. In my opinion, it's better to have a small but flavorful menu than a large but bland one. The food, in general, is very well done. The meat is perfectly seasoned, and both the tortillas and tostadas taste fresh. The salsas are equally excellent; one of the things that really stands out is their quality. They have guacamole with a very mild spiciness and a very good red salsa. They don't use dried limes here; they're all freshly cut. The service is prompt and very fast. It took no more than five minutes from when I ordered until my food arrived. My favorite was the Tacotlayuda, which I think is the restaurant's signature dish. It's a tlayuda with the usual fillings, but instead of being flat, it's rolled up and filled with your choice of protein. Once heated, a seam of Oaxaca cheese is added around the outside, wrapping the taco. One is more than enough to fill you up. Overall, it's a great option for dinner, and the prices are quite reasonable.
