The chicken was really good; it was very crunchy, flaky, juicy, and was seasoned well. I smelled it the second I walked in. The jumbo tenders are about a third to half of a chicken breast each, so if you get a big combo you’ll more than likely have leftovers (I got the six piece meal combo for $14). The building itself is very clean, so I felt very confident in the chicken’s quality. I talked to the owner of the J&J market/Mobil gas station for a bit and they were a joy to talk to. They have a lot of aspirations for the property, and I’m sure that the business will do fantastic in the long term. Will definitely be coming back!

So good! Best chicken in town, hands down! I've really missed good fried chicken since I moved out of the South. Krispy Krunchy hit every note. As close to perfect as it gets. We ordered a four-piece box of chicken with jambalaya and red beans and rice. The jambalaya is seasoned well with lots of sausage, not soupy, not undercooked. As good as any I've had in Louisiana. The red beans and rice are delicious; nicely spiced, with a perfect texture. I could have made a meal of it by themselves, but we came for the chicken. I had the drumstick, which was large and meaty. It ended up being more than I could handle, so my husband finished it for me. The chicken was fresh out of the fryer, and we had to allow it to cool a bit before eating. The skin and breading is exactly what the name says - crispy and crunchy. You can hear and feel the crunch of the breading as you bite into it, followed by the juicy chicken inside. The mix of textures and flavours made the chicken extra delicious. The chicken must've been marinated, because the spice seems to run all the way through the meat. The chicken isn't super hot, but is still a little spicy. I think my children would be able to eat it. They were out of biscuits tonight; we would have liked to have tried them, but they'll have to wait until next time. I'm not sure if they have sauces. We ended up eating in the car, but we'll take it home next time. Pretty substantial menu with different sides, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, tenders, fried potatoes, and apparently shrimp and gizzards. I love gizzards, but they're absolutely a acquired taste. We're already planning to take a box of chicken to my in-laws next time we visit. The store was clean, the man at the food counter was nice, and service was fast. Great experience. Perfect chicken, perfect sides, everything was so good. We have finally found a place for good Southern chicken and sides.

Decent chicken over all. The wings were a little dry, but the legs and thighs were juicy and flavorful. The side options are a little light and were just ok. Probably due to sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Overall not bad for gas station chicken.

Very disappointing. Ordered 8-piece expecting to get 2 each legs, thighs, wings and breasts. Received no breasts. Got 2 legs, 3 wings and 3 thighs. Daughter only eats breasts so she was out of luck. Was not crazy about the cajun seasoning on chicken. Only the wings had crunchy coating. Mac and cheese was as basic as it gets and biscuits were flat and dry. In fairness, food was door dashed, but still warm. Hoped it would have been good, as there are no fried chicken fast food options besides KFC and Popeyes and they should be closed.

A lot of build up from comments on a Facebook page so, against my better judgement, I went and picked up a chicken tender family dinner yesterday evening. It seemed like the busiest time of day but the chicken tenders were not fresh, they were about as dry as could be (not even hot sauce helped) and definitely not crunchy in any way. I'm not as much disappointed in the restaurant itself because I knew gas station chicken would be about like this, more disappointed that so many people raved about it on Facebook and I believed the internet. My bad but yeah, if you order here, expect the same old chicken you'd get at any gas station with a little extra seasoning.
