Avis sur Norma Jean's Coffee Aptos
Norma Jeans is the best coffee shop in Aptos. Don't go anywhere else! They have great coffee, tea, and delicious food. They bake most of the pastries themselves, and make killer breakfast burritos.
I just love this place! Great atmosphere. The barista is sweet. I have a particular diet that they can fulfill. Internet too. Coffee, tea, cool drinks. Check out why the locals love this Norma Jean’s
Owner home bakes the pastries every morning and they’re amazing! I love this little tucked away coffee shop. Best place to study and great coffee.
Great Aptos location w/excellent breakfast burritos & scrumptious pastries like morning buns and muffins, quiche and fresh fruit. Delicious coffee drinks too. Highly recommend!!!
Coffee and pastries are always on point. I also never have to worry about my kids getting burned from the hot cocoa it is always just right. Absolutely love coming here.
Awesome bagels, great pastries, friendly service, and organic coffee! Great one stop shop and all baked goods are made in house! Locally owned and delicious!
Skip the Starbucks across the street and treat yourself to real coffee and excellent customer service. Support your local businesses, this place deserves your patronage!
Great place for a coffee or a smoothie. Pastries were the best! Barrista was as cool as a barrista should be.
Couldn't be more satisfied with this place. Good selection of breakfast foods and drink, all at reasonable prices. I wish this was my neighborhood coffee shop.
Always enjoy this locally owned personal business. They make great chai and baked goods. I hope the big chains popping up around them don't push them out.
Best coffee and pastries in town. Most of their food is made in house with mommy love and all their coffee is freaking amazing and organic. Love em!
This was my first time at Norma Jean's. My coffee was good. Took it to go. Saved most of it to enjoy at home.
Always a pleasure! Great coffees and expresso. Quality food made fresh to order. Better than the corporate coffee house.
Most delicious drip coffee on town. Ask for the Sumatran. The pastry is all home made and top notch.
Comfortable coffee house, with local feel. Good coffee, great food and selection of sweets. Friendly staff with clean, comfortable decor. Buy local.
Excellent place to sit and relax whike having a coffee or tea. It has limited seating and van get crowded at times. Service is excellent.
Best scones in the world! Great coffee and food. The scones make me happy!
This cafe has a beyond casual vibe and decor which is a throwback to the overly comfortable environment of yesteryear when you went out for coffee to socalize and relax. The coffee is good. The pastries are home made. The service is quick. There is wifi. You can sit inside or outside. The outside seating is a big plus if you just finished a run or mountain bike in Nisene Marks State Park. This is the antithesis of the urban chic of get it and go. Go here if you enjoy spending time with your coffee and friends, or you just want to chill after your run or ride in Nisene Marks.
I love their Cranberry Coast smoothie and exotique selection of teas. All their pastries, sandwiches and other foods are housemade with super fresh ingredients. They have, by far, the best carrot cake. Norma Jean's goes far beyond the trendy new Cat and Cloud that opened a few doors down. Buy local!
One of the few places I will drink the coffee. Their salsa is awesome. I go for the bagel sandwiches. Burritos are good. Wish they would add omelettes. All-in-all, a good meal for under $12
It's always a pleasure to visit this coffee shop. Love the smoothies and Fraps, and the pastries are super yummy too 😋
Came here after reading the reviews and this place did not disappoint. The breakfast burrito (w/ ham) was delicious, as is the salsa that accompanied it, too. Coffee (dark roast) was perfect. Great place. Great atmosphere. Locals frequent this place often, which says a lot. Friendly environment and budget friendly.

Absolutely LOVE this little local coffee shop. Phinominal coffee and freshly made pastries daily (sooo good). Shop local!
Great customer service! I order a chai tea and didn’t know it was the spicy one. I wanted it sweeter. So they took care of me. Also the breakfast croissant sandwich was very good. Fast home made.
First morning of a 6-day stay in Aptos and I was looking for a friendly little cafe to have some light breakfast and coffee. Boy have I found a home. Cozy seating space, great selection of baked goods and self-serve coffee refills. The light roast I chose was full and very flavorful. Proprietor was friendly and attentive. Did I mention the self-serve refills? Thumbs up!
Love this coffee shop and their gluten free orange/cranberry muffins! Owner Kathy is so friendly, as are her ALL of her employees. Bonus: old, squeaky screen door w/jingling bell. ❤
support your local coffee shop! the owner is a fantastic human being and has been my neighbor for years. when Starbucks opened up across the street, I was worried that people were going to stop going to this gem and only frequent the corporate coffee place. I'm glad to see it's still open. they have also been offering aid and pay it forward type things for people who've been affected by the fires in the Santa Cruz mountains. I would always get a white mocha when I went here, best white mocha in Santa Cruz. if you're heading to Nicene Marks or driving around aimlessly and you end up in Aptos stop here for a cup of coffee or a latte and maybe a pastry. if you're hungry they have burritos as well.
Everything is made with love, you can’t go wrong. Some of my faves are the muffins and burritos. Try the Carrot muffins! Coffee is great too!
Best coffee shop in Aptos!! Originally owned by Paul Newman's daughter, resold a couple times and now owned by a wonderful, super hard working woman who actually bakes all the baked treats which are all really good...!! It's a down home Aptos local kind of place. It's not a chain, not corporate. It's a real, sweet, good little coffee shop that serves coffee and breakfast burritos, bagels, pastries and snacks. They even make cheese sandwiches in a brown paper bag if my daughter forgets her lunch at school... Nice folks. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
Great coffee, ALL PASTRIES, STEELE CUT OATMEAL, TAMALES MADE IN HOUSE by Kathy (Owner). Cinnamon roll is best I've ever had. Blueberry danish to die for. I have no idea why people go to Starbucks across the street.
A very nice local coffee shop. Its very warm and inviting. The coffee and pastries are next level. They also have some other food items like chicken tamales, which are delicious!!! I try to avoid the chain coffee spots as much as possible, and this is the perfect escape from them!!
Nice pastries paired with great coffee! I love getting a latte here then just walking around the area and enjoying what it has to offer. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and I have always enjoyed the coffee that I get there. They have some fun and quirky signs, and the staff are friendly! A great alternative to some of the bigger local chains, while still keeping its local charm.
Nice little place to get breakfast! Bean, the business Yorkie, greeted me at the door and sat with me while I drank my coffee. Word to the wise...don't mess with Bean while he's sleeping...even if he's on your lap...😆 🤣
Hate to throw down that 3 star on food but I'm honest to a fault and gotta keep it real. I will start with the positives as I'm habitually optimistic. The coffee was delicious! Hot, strong and robust with light and dark roast options. The Almond bear claw was FIRE! Straight up phenomenal 🤍 The breakfast croissant had so much promises but it missed the mark on every front unfortunately. Burnt ham, flat moist croissant, inedible egg microwaved into oblivion. Probably just over cooked it a couple minutes but dang if it wasn't disappointing. Crazy part, I'd order it again to see...
I've lived in Aptos for more than 40 years, & I never knew this place was here! But with prices through the roof at most coffee chains - I am happily surprised to have found this GEM. Service is out of this world, they have a beautiful selection of teas! The prices are fair, & the coffee is good! It's strong enough, & I am so happy to have found this place! I will be going back often - already have been back 3 times since I found it this month 7/2024!! So stoked, check it out!
Hands down best coffee and food in SC! Any where in the area for that matter. Their Kona coffee is the best, all kinds of fresh delicious pastries, açaí bowls, salmon bagels, breakfast burritos, all coffee specialty drinks. Sandwiched between three major coffee giants. Support your local small businesses!
Fabulous place for coffee, Tea, delicious pastries and such a nice ambiance with a friendly staff. Come and say hello to the owner Cathy. We are from Whittier, California and we would love a place like this in our area. We always try to support the independent owners.

Excellent coffees and teas . Coffee is stripped while you wait . They say or Letty is organic and there's quite a selection . Nice food menu including bagels, sandwiches very good oatmeal for breakfast and pastry . Friendly staff . And the music is played at a soft enough volume so as not to take away from your experience either dining by yourself to relax or talking with friends
We stopped in here while having a tire repaired across the street. Nice place for breakfast. They have a variety of teas and coffees to suit many tastes. Recommended.
I honor small businesses and resourceful, hard working people. Norma Jean's is all of that with wicked humor, great friendliness, and super coffee.
I really want to like this place. It's close to my house and I try to support local businesses. The coffee and food are great, but every single time I go in there everyone is so unfriendly, they all look so upset to be there and like you are inconveniencing them by coming in. It's a bummer.
Dirty! I sat by the front window. The window needs washed the sill has dust, food crumbs(that have obviously been there awhile), cobwebs, dead flies, live flies... food on the floor and it looked like it hadn't been mopped for awhile. My mocha tasted watered down and the breakfast burrito was PLAIN! The staff was friendly bit need some training in the cleaning department.
Got the non meat breakfast burrito and it was very bland for $10. Wouldn’t really call it vegetarian as apart a bit of potato there none. Look elsewhere for better options.
Hilarious that reviewers thought that this was a burrito. I have to second a previous commenter who said it was the worst burrito they had ever had, and that there were huge chunks of uncooked ham inside. I don't remember if there was cheese, but I'm pretty sure there was and it wasn't melted which is a big no-go for me. Great service. No complaints about the coffee. Waaaack burritos.

Quite possibly the worst breakfast burrito I have ever had. The baked goods looked ok but DO NOT get a burrito. Giant chunks of undercooked ham and they just toss them in the microwave to heat them up. The salsa is also bland as white bread.
Got a caramel latte and a mocha. The syrups in both were.... Not good somehow. I don't think it was the espresso that was bad because both had a similar coffee taste. But the caramel latte was weirdly bitter, almost like the caramel was burnt. And the mocha tasted watered down yet too sweet.
Employees are nice but the owner is so rude to her employees and customers. The place is dirty and definitely unsanitary/not food safe. The food is good but nothing special and the iced coffee I ordered was the worst coffee i've ever had.
The owner is incredibly rude. She buys everything for the cafe at Safeway. meat, cheese and bagels everything you could think of. She would treat me like I was less then her And would complain to my mangers and Bring up in a pretentious way that she owns a business in Aptos so she should be treated with the most respect. She’s in her 70s way too grown to be acting like a mean girl.
Espresso tastes burnt. Mediocre service. Croissant bad and 5$. Lemon cake not good. Sneaky charge 25cents for cups with no house cup alternative. Mistake to come here.
