Thanksgiving at BoomerJack’s — A Texas Home Away From Home If you ever want to know what real Texas hospitality feels like, spend a Thanksgiving at BoomerJack’s in Arlington. This was my first Thanksgiving away from my family in 34 years, and somehow… these folks made it better than any Thanksgiving I’ve ever had. The people, the staff, the atmosphere, the literal love and compassion they poured into every moment — that’s the kind of thing you can’t fake. That’s Texas. As a New York born, newly minted Texas transplant, I walked in feeling out of place, and walked out feeling like I’d been part of their family my whole life. BoomerJack’s doesn’t just serve great food — they serve belonging. They made a day that could’ve been lonely feel meaningful, warm, and unforgettable. I’ll never forget the way everyone treated each other, strangers laughing together like old friends. It felt like the entire building agreed we were all in this life thing together. And listen… to the bartender who said, “Cowboys can’t win twice in one week.” I told you they’d win because I was here 😏😂 Sure enough — they won, and now I’m officially a lifelong, loyal Dallas fanatic. Blame BoomerJack’s. They converted me. To everyone at BoomerJack’s Arlington: thank you for giving a guy far from home a place that felt like home. You made Thanksgiving something I’ll never forget. And after 3 days straight of BoomersMeals plus the vibe here, you may have a new applicant for employment. 😏🤭 Texas, you’ve got my heart for real. 🤠💙

For starters, everything was wonderful, but what what is the best was our server SERENITY she was extremely attentive, kind, professional, and even given us details on items that we were confused about and wanted to order, and she was very informative and helped us choose our entrées. Most waitresses sometimes have attitude and she did not at all convey that she gave off great energy and professionalism, and that was greatly appreciated. We came to this location because the one in the Highlands is closed down. We will be back, especially if Service continues to be like this

The food was excellent. Everything in my party of 5 that was ordered was delicious and plentiful. The value is definitely there for the food. The atmosphere was to be expected after a cowboys game, lively and energetic. The waitress unfortunately rushed us through our order and didn't refill drinks once. She also took quite awhile to bring the check and return my credit card after payment. Overall great experience.

Boomerjack’s is a special place nestled in the arena district of Dallas. It’s a safe place to watch sports if your with a friend who often prone to “pop off” on another opposing fan while eating some wings. The bar was undeniably delicious… which is a weird thing to say about a building, but here we are. They’ve got these giant puffy pretzels dangling from metal hooks like it’s a carb-themed art exhibit, and everyone keeps walking by pretending not to stare at the doughy chandeliers. The drinks are so good they should probably come with a warning label, because after two of them you start thinking, “Yeah, I could totally lasso a longhorn.” It’s the kind of Texas bar that’s so tasty and cozy it makes you forget you came to criticize it but don’t worry, I’ll say it anyway: the only thing missing is a nap station for when those pretzels hit like emotional support bread.

We stopped in on a Saturday understandably busy. Service was very slow. By the time our server came to our table we were ready to order. I ordered the Monte Cristo it was over cooked but never saw the server to get it fixed. Great atmosphere, love the cowboys theme. Nice to see the fire pits on the patio. Took 15mins to get a Shirley Temple. Maybe this location is understaffed and overworked, every table around us was filled with dirty dishes. Management looked unhappy, they walked right by us a couple times without table touching. The hostess look bored or tired they dont smile.

We came on a Monday for the three dollar drinks we were charged six dollars per drink after we took a picture of the three dollar drink, but because it was not explained, they said if the drink has multiple alcohols in it or if It it is in a taller glass you’re charged double which is not explained. I told them it’s not a problem, but it’s the fact that you had us take a picture and choose from the menu of cheaper alcohols to still be charged the regular price not to mention it’s additional for each flavor so we honestly paid more for a cheaper quality. I will not be coming back anymore because it’s not OK. We changed servers because the first server was extremely rude and was not attentive. The manager chose to service after that so the fact that this was not communicated it’s just horrible customer service when there’s no communication be upfront and honest. I had six drinks six lemon drops and I added on my brother-in-law and my sister‘s one drink so that was a total of eight drinks but it shows 15 and she stated that’s how they have to charge it. That’s how it has to ring up according to the system.

The first waiter was rude as hell and had an attitude did not give the table water until I asked for it. The next waiter started out good and was attentive and good until we got our bills then it came a problem because we do not need to read the receipts at all the manger is trying to except explain it but it does not make sense at all. Visited on Saturday night, Jan 31st, at 7:30ish. Food was good, but that’s where it stopped. Service was horrendous. Waited 15min to get a drink order. We got three drinks and two shots… the two shots were Lemon Drop, menu stated Deep Eddies Lemon only, it came out as zero alcohol and only lemonade. Ridiculous for an $9 shot. I ordered a Mexican Candy… our waiter never even put it in. Good, their bartender obviously doesn’t know how to make drinks. Our three other regular drinks had VERY little alcohol. Not what you want to encounter at a BAR/RESTAURANT! We sent the Lemon Drop back and the middle aged blonde manager had the GAUL to come and challenge us on the damn thing!!!!!! Seriously? If you’re not making drinks good, you WILL get crap sent back! Do NOT challenge customers on drinks, if they aren’t quality then refund it, it costs you NEGLIGIBLE AMOUNTS CONSIDERED TO BEING JERKS ABOUT YOUR BAD SERVICE! Thanks BoomerJacks… we will NOT be back. OK place to watch games. Had great service the first couple visit. Our servers Miranda and Deanna were awesome! Visiting for a Cowboys game and been to BoomerJacks twice. Post game review: After the game, we were excited to return for food and drinks based on prior positive experiences. Unfortunately, the service was a complete letdown this time. What had previously been very attentive was noticeably absent. We were ready to order drinks and spend time there but couldn’t get a server’s attention. Disappointing, because the place has real potential—but based on this experience, we won’t be returning. Won’t list the name of the last server. Moral of the story: avoid after games; vibe downer. BTW: careful with the reviews because they offer a free drink (wooden coin) valid after 10 which is actually not honored. Explains why there are so many reviews.

My husband and I walked in to have dinner before our movie next door. We waited 20 minutes and no one even offered us a glass of water. I was putting on my sweater to finally leave and this woman with a light pink silky robe walks up to our table and asks us if we were waiting long. We said yes but we are leaving and she said ok and walked off. I went up to the guy that seated us and asked him for her name and he looked at her, she made some kind of signal to him and he stayed quiet. He didn't give me her name after I asked twice. He then asked ME if we wanted to be seated inside and I said no. Will my service be better if I'm inside? Or is it because I'm Hispanic and my spouse is white? She walked by us like 5 times and even looked our way and didn't stop to at least say "I will be right with you." Nothing. Not coming back. We were sitting next to the soda machine out on the patio in front of the bar.

If I could give a zero star I would! I ordered a 30 piece wings to go! I asked for them to be well done just for me to get home and see that my wings were under cooked had so much feathers on them I couldn’t eat them and they weren’t tossed in the sauce! I called to speak to the manager named Aaron he was very nonchalant and didn’t care about the complaint he said I had to bring the order back after driving 20 min home! He said he couldn’t do anything unless I bring it back! I then drove back 20 min to return the order! Upon arriving he wasn’t apologetic not once all he said was you had to bring it back because people lie about their order which also means this is a common issue he wasn’t surprised at all ! Then he just refunded my money and walked off! I will NEVER EVER recommend this place and I don’t know how this person can be a manager of a whole restaurant!!
