Nice hole in the wall with excellent 👌 service and home cooked meals try it it's great
Best chips and salsa, my favorite Mexican food restaurant in the area. Every time I eat here I see people coming in to buy salsa to go. They have a fridge filled up with gallon and half gallon salsa that people buy to go
I drive the distance for their crunchy ground beef tacos! Rice and beans are great, too! Delicious cheese enchiladas. Convenient drive-thru.
Great food and the salsa is one of the best I have had. I usually get the lunch special which comes with a drink. They also have an excellent chili relleno by itself or in a wet burrito.
Very small and drive thru is odd. Their food is very good with a unique taste. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Staff is friendly.
The chili colorado is to die for! Everything i've had there is amazing and they've always accommodated my 2 year old. Friendly staff, excellent food and decent prices. Love this place!
The Chili Verde burrito was delicious. Crunchy taco was very good. Service was amazing. Very nice and courteous.
I loved it.,Everyone was so friendly and our tacos dorados and the Burrito Ranchero were delicious. The horchata is authentic and perfect and the complementary chips and salsa delicious.
Best Mexican food on the Coast ! The Crispy Chicken and Beef Tacos are fabulous..and I come from Texas especially for the Bean and Cheese Burritos! Thank you to the cooks and staff! Definitely well worth it to stop at Buttito Loco
Super delicious tacos, classic California style burritos, some of the best salsa I have had at a restaurant. Chips were on point. Super great service and really nice people. Highly recommend.
Go early for the Chorizo Burritos because they usually sell out. Portions are big and I usually have to take half home as leftovers. They make their own tortilla chips and they are great!
This restaurant has some great deals. Fajitas Wednesdays are the best. Also you can feed alot of people with the carnita family meal, 1ib meat, huge portion of chips, salsa, guacamole, beans, rice, and tortillas for $24. This could easily feed 5 people. Everything I have tried here so far was very good and the service is always quick and friendly.
Great local Mexican food. Fast service, good prices. Special bonus, they give treats to your dog at the drive through.
Been good every time I go here. Chorizo breakfast burrito is really good. Love the enchiladas, nice and big, not too small, cheesy and saucy
The waitress was on top of everything! The Chili Relleno lunch tasted very good, arrived hot, and their iced tea was delicious. I even brought home leftovers for another meal.
I went there to meet somebody and when I was inside it was very pleasant and it looks like they may have decent food I was wrong the food was excellent the tacos were crazy good I would tell my friends and eat there again no problem ! Bigrick...
Yummy good and well cooked and seasoned. The price was great for the quality of good and the girl who helped us was very friendly. *side note she has very nice eyelashes and I wanted to ask her where she bought them from but didn't 😒
Had the breakfast burritos several times from here and they are absolutely the best! If you need something fast and easy to pick up and go this is your best bet anywhere in the five cities area for a great big breakfast burrito just the way you like.
Great and lovely workers. Food came quickly and was delicious! I seriously want more. The only thing is, the restaurant was really empty and there was amazing furniture and outdoor furniture so I hope that if your judging wether to go or not I really recommend it! The food was amazing so please go and there is a drive thru if you wanted to know.
Called in and picked up dinner for a party of 5. Food was ready in 15 minutes and hot and delicious upon arrival back at home. 3 people had 2 cheese enchiladas rice & beans and loved it ... the other 2 had burritos and their plates were clean. My favorite was the guacamole and salsa. Very fresh and flavorful!
Very nice lunch today!
This place is the best. Great salsa. Great chicken enchiladas. Awesome burritos. Very great service and always super nice.
The best Mexican food in this area. Authentic flavors and always hot and fresh. Their burritos are huge. Their enchiladas are soft and saucy. Their taquitos are fully loaded with all the good and crunchy, not chewy. They take a little bit but that’s just because they make everything fresh! Our favorite place to go. Also pregnant at the moment and was on the search for the perfect chicken enchilada close to our old favorite Mexican restaurant that closed- I went to 5 different places and this place is the only one that even compares. Hands down the best.
The cooks are great. The food was amazing and I loved the service there the people are so kind and helpful. The food was better than IHOP I love the Mexican food and I honesty will go everyday if I could. The cook Francisco was an amazing cook. He's a amazing at making tacos de chicken. I'm very hopeful for my sister to recommend me to go here. I made a good choice to come here.💙
I order at this restaurant through Doordash very frequently and I love their refried beans, and their chicken fajitas imo are the best in town. My kids love their chicken flautas, and their crispy fried beef tacos. Their house salsa and chips are great too! Their prices are reasonable and their staff is very kind and friendly. Keep up the great work and yummy food!
Great carne asada tacos. I used to live in San Diego so this is the style I am used to. Lots of meat! And their salsa is my absolute favorite!! I buy mild, but they offer hotter. Has lots of flavor. Been eating here for years, since they first took over that corner spot.
Stopped in here with my husband while we were on vacation. Had Carnitas burritos. They were excellent huge pieces of meat in the burritos well worth the money. Vanessa was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely stop here again.
Very delicious Mexican food! Their salsa is yummy and the best "homemade" chips. Authentic corn flavor! You can drive through, go inside or call for them to cater your next party!
Burrito Loco gives me a mouthgasm. It's that dang good. Food is made fresh as you wait, prices in the medium range (not too bad), and the best dang salsa in my opinion.
My wife and I eat here weekly. Best salsa and chips in town! Our go to is the chille relleno with green sauce. Fish tacos can’t be beat! The people working here are so nice.
Refried beans great flavor.
I stopped here on a whim since I was at the red light near here driving the 101. It's delish and the waitress was super nice. Only downside is the extra $1.99 if you want a second bowl of salsa and chips. HOWEVER, I will gladly pay that since the salsa tastes so fresh. Clean bathrooms and a great atmospheric music make this a must stop everytime I am on PCH going by.
Awesome food! One of the few who cook with lard
Ordered Burrito Loco for our staff at Miner’s Ace hardware. Lots of food and reasonably priced in my budget! Tacos, flautas, enchiladas, beans & rice were all phenomenal! Thank you so much!
We only went through the drive through, but the staff was polite and efficient! Their burritos were outstanding! We will always return to this establishment!
Small local restaurant with above average service and delicious food. The tortillas are outstanding. I really enjoyed the fresh salsa. The chips were ok. They kept both salsa bowl and chip basket full. The cheese enchiladas have a delicious red chili sauce with no heat. The refried beans are smashed and smooth. The rice is perfect!!! #allergygirl didn’t need anything modified.
Cute little burrito stop with drive thru, I ordered the egg and steak burrito and the egg was nice and soft inside my burrito.
Love that it's family run. The food is very good and so are the prices. When I have friends over and don't feel like cooking, I'll get one of their family meals. I can get five tacos, five enchiladas, a boatload of beans and rice, and 8 oz of guacamole, and get out for under $40.
This place is the best. I came up on it by accident, during my long ride on the Pacific Coast Highway but it should not be an accident that you should try it. The waitress was fantastic. The salsa is some of the best I've had, tastes great, and just enough heat🔥. I got the Chicken Chimichanga, I'm not exaggerating that it is probably the best Chimichanga I have had. Just look at the photos of how good it looked on my plate. To bad this only goes to five stars This is a must try place if you are in the area.
We were on the road, and craving a quesadilla. We drove through, the person that helped us was friendly, the food was good and we were back onto the road in no time!

Been coming here a few times a week for lunch! Love the drive thru! I love being able to call in order and pick up! Food and service are excellent! Love the chips and salsa!
Best Mexican food on the south coast. Terrific family-run restaurant with great customer service and absolutely delicious authentic food. Local reviewer - 10 stars!
The food was EXCELLENT in this small little diner. It was recommended to us. Great service.
Favorite restaurant! Food is great, atmosphere is great. The drive through is convenient and the staff are so nice 💕
We love eating here! Food is always GREAT and the family atmosphere is very friendly 😊 Definitely worth the visit!!
Good food and service! I would like a little bit more beans with the toga orders! I love the chips and salsa with the chicken orders and thank you for always hooking up the salsa!!!
Local place with friendly service and good value. A la carte items are good portion but we got the lunch menu which was plenty. A main item along with rice and beans. The horchata was legit too.

Authentic Mexican fare, cheerful service, and reasonable prices. Easy parking. Just a little out of the way, but well worth a visit.
The Food is really good and consistent..the biggest problem I have is they always seem to leave out a critical part of an order, you can’t search the bags to check because they are tied down,I find it difficult on large orders for my family and get home in Grover Beach after the trek up there and boom the orders not right this is the 2nd time this month it’s happened.Bummed!!!
Decent Mexican food, decent prices. Has a drive thru, for convenience, not speed. You can spend 15 minutes in line in the drive thru. The salsa is great.
Excellent carnitas chimichanga. Salsa is on point. Fresh tortilla chips. Very friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor dining and fast service. Highly recommend
This time it was very good -cheese enchilada had good sauce cover, filling tasty, full bean and rice portions. Good job!
The salsa is very good. I would recommend the Chicken taquitos were delicious. If you have a taquitos craving this is the place. Crispy taquitos with shredded lettuce and guacamole and sour cream on the side. Ask for spicy salsa. Huge delicious portions.
Pricey steak tacos, but good overall
First time here. The carne asada burrito I had was better than most you can find in SLO. Menu looks good. I come through the area for work so I will eat here again. I would agree that the service could be better. Had to ask for bill and refill. I likely would have been sitting there quite a bit longer if I hadn't spoken up.
The offerings are so fresh and fast. Inviting atmosphere with easy access of hwy 1. Parking lot is spacious. Outdoor seating available. Clean interior shows the employees take pride in their work. The cooks are very friendly and always seem to be having a great time crafting the most delicious items from the extensive menu. This is my new go-to with friends and family. Never dissapointed.
The food is really great. The only down fall is I had order 20 tacos got home and found out I was short 6 tacos. The nice thing is the guy who took my order told me that he was sorry and that he posted a note stating they owe me 6 tacos. Which gives me a reason to go back, for my store credit for 6 tacos. We all make mistakes right. Thank God they aren't that far from my home.
The food here is very good and authentic Mexican. I have been here many times. Never too crowded even though it is small. They also have an outside dining area. My favorite is the chicken enchiladas, with rice and substitute the beans with a salad. The prices are reasonable and it is only 15 minutes from my home. They also have a drive through.
We randomly stopped here on our way back from the Bay Area. We got a wet burrito with verde salsa. They give you a bag of chips and salsa too which was awesome. The red fresh salsa was so good I wish I had more. Burrito wasn't bad for a random drive thru burrito spot. Price was worth what we got. We shared and it made us both full. Probably a new favorite when we do that drive.
I had the super burrito loco, it was very good, the meat was cooked well and the meal was reasonably priced and I would visit again.
Burrito Loco is awesome! Great , hot food as good, or better, than any restaurant with a drive thru window! Happy dance every time. The pic below is of soft carnitos tacos. Ohh yeahhhh

I appreciate having at least one drive-thru restaurant in the Mesa, though it's not the best. Pretty much everything about this place is just okay.
The cheese enchiladas were honestly not that great. The rice was a little bland. But my husband said his Carne asada burrito was very good
I love their food but $6.00 for a soda on Doordash is crazy. It is listed as $2.25 on their menu.
They always short change me when I pay cash. It has happened several times... just .10 to .15 cents each time. When I order over the phone for pick up, they routinely try to charge me for chips whenI specifically say no chips. And you get free chips when you eat in. Food is good, just check your bill very carefully and if you challenge them they forget English very quickly.
I went just to get a simple burrito and a side of rice. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Staff was very nice. The rest of my family likes going here. It is family friendly, and there is a decent kids menu.
They have a drive thru, which is nice, but it takes very long to get your food. The quality of food is good for the price. My only complaint is the service. The girls that work the counter are always grouchy, except for Clarissa. She's always pleasant.
Average at best. I usually measure Mexican restaurants by Al Pastor, Guacamole and some kind of Chicken. It will be a while before I try them again. The salsa had descent flavor and wasn't to hot (good for those that don't like hot foods), Shredded Beef was good (I tried her tacos)... just not exceptional. We asked for both mild and hot salsa and received all mild. My friend had shredded beef tacos. I ordered Al Pastor with guacamole. Note that if I go back, I will try some kind of Chicken dish... perhaps on the next comet pass. Also, the menu is heavily edited with a sharpie and tape (understandingly so during these times) which makes it difficult to read since there was no lighting for the menu at the drive through. I think the strangest customer service moment ever was the dude taking orders asking my friend her name while we were in the drive through. She was the passenger.
I absolutely love the food and salsa but they tend to close way earlier than they are supposed to. I've showed up twice in the last couple of months 30-40 minutes prior to the closing time and the whole place is shut down. If you're planning on going there at night I highly recommend calling first so you don't drive there for no reason. Hopefully management will look into this, because they're paying employees who aren't there.
The food's great. But be aware there landscapers illegally blow sand on the passing cars not only illegal but highly improfessional. This Happened at 8:43AM on October 24th

2 stars because the service at the windows was great. Except I ordered enchiladas and got a cheese quesadilla. Beans were the worst I had so not sure if they were old or what. BF said the rice wasn't good either. $24 wasted and a hangry me is what he got to deal with 😂.
Don't get me wrong, the workers are very nice. But this place really lives up to its name - $45 for a small drink and two small burritos is crazy work 🤣🤣 Yeah that comes with three sauces and a small bag of chips, that makes up for it 🙄 Not to mention the pastor is meh, chewy. Burritos were barely warm when they were handed to us. This is highway robbery for a mid burrito with a ton of filler. Don't come here if you've been anywhere decent.
I Ordered asada burrito . The meat has a weird teriyaki flavor to it and the meat was not diced up properly. Also I bit into a HUGE bay leaf I found in the burrito. The beans were as cold as a corps . And the sope was soggy. Wasted almost 30.00$ Chingaow

EDIT: The female employee actually had the nerve to tell me "my tastes must have changed" because I explained their salsa recipe had changed?! After 6 years of patronage your employee claims MY tastes have changed. NO hun, you give watered down salsa to light skined customers now. That's NOT your customers fault. That's YOUR fault. Stop your bs or your only customers will be uninformed tourists. Mark my words, mouthy employees, your employer's business will go the same way as any other business on the hill that can't meet local demand, Out Of Business. Apply to Starbucks, brat. You'd be better off there. We used to come here regularly. We're done EVER coming here again. After 6, yes 6 years, of being customers we've noticed a severe decline in not only customer service but food quality as well. I've received chilè rellenos with American cheese barely melted inside, sodas with no carbonation, and today a staff woman with no respect for customers, salsa they specifically give my "Anglo looking husband" that tastes like sweet tomato juice when asked specifically for their HOTEST salsa (seriously, you clearly either changed your recipe or purposefully gave him "salsa he could hanlde" despite requests otherwise) as well as under cooked or dried out rice and beans, hard to tell. Not worth $30++ for a family of 4. Not worth the drama. Employees need to learn their place. Chefs need more training. We pay YOU, YOU SERVE us. That's the business. Tell your employees my hard earned money doesn't go to disrespecting me or sub-par foods.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Will mess up your order every time! & then when you call to let them know they rudely say that you’re wrong. I will not come here again. This restaurant only survives due to its convenient location on the Mesa.
I guess I got there to late, 8:15. Order cheese enchalada and got meat. Don't know what kind Was tasteless. Order.tomale was dry. What has happened to this place. Guess that what happens when it's a take out. Fill the bag with food they don't want Bbbbbbuuuuurrr4rrrr4ffffffffffff. Burfff. Check your bag before you go home. Good luck
Worst service I've ever had it's like they hate their customers. They just stare at you with a Blank face like they hate your guts and I'm pretty sure they're racist. Also an extremely overpriced burrito. But it does taste good
Extremely poor quality food and service. Previous location far superior. I would give this establishment(on the Mesa) a (-) 0 . Zero stars unless they choose to replace that horrid meal with something far superior!!!!Don't waste your money unless they do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been here 3 times now, I'm not going back. The food is mediocre, not terrible, but not worth the money. The service takes much longer than you would expect, and the price is surprising given the quality of what you get.
I always loved this place. I just got a breakfest burrito and it had a rock in it. So when I took a bite I bit down on a pretty decent sized ROCK. I will no longer eat there.
It took them 1 hour to bring out my food. They only had 1 cook. I ordered a green chile burrito and it was just filled with rice and beans.
They were incredibly rude to me, I ordered a taco salad. It was served with no rice or beans, and about two table spoons of shredded chicken and basically the rest was lettuce the tortilla was burnt so bad it was bitter and turned to powder when you tried to break off a piece..
Went for a breakfast burrito. Told them no potato add beans and rice. Waited for 30 mins way wrong. They added potato plus it wasn't cooked fully. So I went back to get what I ordered they put more beans than eggs or anything else. Then they minced up the bacon so small you couldn't tell if you even had bacon (hoping the brown pieces were bacon). Not happy for 2 burritos for $20. Ripoff. Those two burritos only took less than 10 mins. Won't be going back. I'll drive to Romos in Guadalupe for a fatter cheaper burrito
Waited in Drive through line for 25 minutes. Got to window and saw my burrito sitting ready and watched employees clear tables, wait on tables and help customers at counter while I waited another 5 minutes. The employee who got me my food offered no apology even after I said something about wait. She smiled and said have a nice day. Totally disrespectful and unreal. I'm never going back.
This place charged me $44 for 2 burritos they ripped me off! why they said it? because I wanted sour cream with my burrito? That, cost an extra $20, but they never gave it to me? then when I called they said " yes" I did get the sides which I did not! so apparently for 2 $1195 burrito they charged me $44 cuz I got a side of sour cream!? That should come with a burrito for no cost! Again! I did not get the$20 side of sour cream! An then look below at the pic of my bank! Instead of refunding me they charged me again!
Well, for starters, the "kid" that takes orders at the window didn't really know what she was doing, it seemed. Secondly, at the other window a rude, non enthusiastic lady handed me a bag with my burrito wrapped in it, said " have a nice day" in the most bland way ever. She didn't even look at me OR offer me any chips and salsa either. I will NOT be going there again. This is too many times of them screwing up our orders to give them any more of my business!!! They dont even deserve 1 star
Out of 10 times going through the drive thru, I've gotten home and my order has been wrong 5 out of those 10 time's even after having it repeated back to me. Today is it, I've had it. I said ground beef twice, get home and it's shredded beef. 10 bucks wasted. I shouldn't have to check and make sure everything is correct every single time. Check your order if you're using the drive thru!!!
I ordered a burrito and when I got it it was served with Brown guacamole and a pile of cilantro on top. The burrito description did not say there was cilantro added to the burrito I hate cilantro. I now have a stomach ache and am wondering if what they served me was old and should have been thrown away instead of serving.
I went for the all you can eat tacos. For the price they were ok. I asked if there were refills on the coke. " yes, you can have one." I asked for a little ice, I got a cup full. I had asked for a large drink, I got a 16 Oz glass. The coke is the reason for the one star. She did reflll it. But definitely did not ask again, but yet I could have got more tacos, Really? For this reason, will not go back.
They got new management and they raised the prices and also cheap as hell my horchata was completely filled top to bottom with ice and my burrito was super small for a 13 dollar burrito the was filled with waaay to much sour cream. Super disappointed because they use to be good
I live close, so I’ve eaten here around a dozen times for convenience. Almost every time, after I visit, I swear I’ll never go again. This place seems like they try to do bad business. The customer service is consistently rude and error prone. I think they get the order incorrect 75% of the time. They aren’t polite or pleasant when you visit. The food is basic sometimes, other times I wonder who thought they could sell that product it’s so bad. I hope that when they go out of business, someone who cares at least a little about having a taqueria opens up there.
My wife and I have eaten here for many years. Always good food. We have noticed starting last year the condition of the restaurant. Tables left dirty for long durations, floors not cleaned and dirty and the salsa changed. Last night we gave the restaurant another shot. We were shot down with disappointment. We will never return. As a past restaurant owner, I can describe the reason why this restaurant is failing. No oversight. It is being run by young people with no loyalty to owner. I called the owner a few years back and told them the same thing I am saying now. I guess they just don't get it. You can't have kids running your store and expect it to run correctly.
Came here for taco Tuesday, it's a myth. Taco Tuesday tacos are smaller-- that's given and standard in most restaurants. However, taco Tuesday promotion states "all you can eat". This is a lie. The waitress seemed very rushed, even though there was two waitresses in there taking car and dine in orders. She messed up both my order and my husband's which almost seemed on purpose. His meal was completely wrong and mine was only half wrong. Next thing we knew we were given the check and no option to discuss our dine in experience further Because she rushed out of sight. Living in Oceano I have a choice of other taco Tuesday nights. I won't be returning here. Really unfortunate. I never do "no tip" this was one of those times I didn't tip.
I went into this place and ordered a burrito, specifically telling them to charge me as much as they needed but to make it the size I requested. Instead, they brought me a small burrito that I could’ve easily ordered straight off the regular menu. When I questioned the size and asked why I was charged so much extra, their only response was, “Next time we’ll do better.” That kind of answer is unacceptable. If I’m paying extra, I expect to receive what I requested—not a standard menu item with a vague promise for “next time.”
Food was cold in the middle and server was rude! This used to be a great place but after today not sure we'd try it again.
In line at the drive thru and the driver ahead was talking for a long time with the cashier. They talked about work, when they got up that morning etc. Finally the ordered was placed and paid for. The cashier gave change and then they kept laughing and talking. After several minutes my wife called out the window that we were waiting. After another few minutes she tapped the horn the cashier looked at us like we were bothering him and the driver made some remarks but stayed out obviously on purpose. When he pulled forward I moved up across from the window and the cashier asked what my problem was. I said he kept us waiting for a personal convo. He said he would rather have a nice talk with that customer than wait on me because it was rude to honk. I went to Munchiez805 across the street and had a great meal.
