Great open Air Sports Bar with a little more than you might expect! Food is up a big notch from regular "bar food". Try their Ahi Salad! Wow! Big screen TV's for sports but some cozy corners with good music if you're not into that!
Great place to hang out. The service was fast and the food was good. Full bar for mixed drinks. We definitely enjoyed hanging out here. Thanks guys for bringing something like this our little town.
First time in Pismo and I found this bar immediately😋Quite a tasty Bloody Mary and tacos👍👊
Stopped in for a beer and snack... service, food and beer was amazing!! Highly recommend.
Great orange beer and super fish tacos. Husband had Bria tacos. Super beach vibe. Sat at the side bar open to the street.
We go to Pismo, several times each year. We have our normal favorites that we always visit. On this visit, we noticed a new place that had big open windows and great ambiance. Once in, the bartender (Sarah) sorry no picture came over and had the sweetest smile and friendliest spirit. We ordered up some drinks, then decided we were going to try lots from the menu. After placing our first round of drinks, we then met Luke, a bar back (sorry no pic). As we watched him we thought this guy is doing everything (to be honest, I would have bet he was an owner). Anyway the food started coming out, we had the "Bar"cuterie, follow by the Yakatoru Skewers, then we tried some sliders. Oh man ALL were hitting the spot that went along with our drinks, music and atmosphere. Then we had a chance to meet what we thought was another staff member as it turns out she is the owner that has many years of hospitality experience. We even met a couple of locals who decided to come in and check the place out, I'm pretty sure they will be back both during the tourist and non tourist season. Special shout out to Brittany and to her staff. We will be back.

This was close to our hotel. We found it walking back and wanted a quick cocktail. The bartender and servers were immediately welcoming and I loved the electronic music that playing. Was a super cool vibe. Loved the drink selection as well. I’m always a happy girl if there’s a smoky Mezcal drink on the menu and they had a watermelon one. So yum! Can’t speak to the food but will probably stop by from breakfast on our way down to the beach. We will definitely be returning!
We went here to watch Sunday night football. I had the best non alcoholic drink of my life. Something with lime and jalapeno, it was incredible. The house salad was great because it was actually healthy. Great place to watch the game.
Great place walking distance to the beach. Always friendly staff. Good food and drinks
We loved it! They only opened Tuesday yet our meals and drinks were flawless. Loved the Jamaican hand pies and sliders. Drinks and food are very affordable. No wonder it was packed. Can’t wait to go back!
The bartender put the game I wanted to watch on the TV. The place was pretty chill.
This is a newer spot in pismo, I had not been here before. I did not realize it's basically a sports pub, the food is definitely elevated from other sports bar type places, and I really enjoyed the Casual rustic vibe. But there are a lot of screens. If you're looking for a place just to connect with your friend, and there's a game on, this might not be the place for you. The food was stand out, I got the birra fries, and it definitely satisfied.
Came down here accidentally during corgi weekend, but they had space to get us in quickly. Really friendly staff greeted us immediately and got us menus. I didn't have high hopes for a place that seems like it should really just draw in the tourists, but they have a nice set up. Prices are quite reasonable for the location. The space is really nice and open and the patio was nice to hang out with our dogs. Nice and simple menu and a lot of good looking drinks. We decided to just try each of the sliders since a proper sandwich would have been too much probably. While we were waiting for the food to be prepared they checked on us regularly and kept my water topped off. The sliders came out in probably about 10 minutes which was great. Both were good size and on hawaiian buns. The smashburger slider looked and tasted the part. It seems like they had home made pickles on it, really good burger. The spicy chicken was nice and crunchy, had a hot honey flavor to it. Wasn't too spicy but had a nice crunch and well balanced sweet and spicy flavor. We both agreed that their fries are among the best we've had. Whatever spices they use I want to know, absolutely delicious. The shape is unique too, it probably lets them trap more of the seasoning. Definitely a nice spot in Pismo, good to catch sports, great service and really good food.

Waitresses/Bartenders were awesome great food & service going back soon

We had a great easy, casual dinner at The Break. We went on a Wednesday and it seemed we got there before things started heating up for the night. Things we loved: - food was fantastic. My husband ended up with the quinoa bowl that was super flavorful and very hearty. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was really great – super tender and juicy. Our son got the burger and literally devoured it. - fries were great! - service was fantastic. We had already had a couple beverages on the balcony before we headed down for dinner so we didn’t feel like drinking more at the moment. That did not affect the level of service that we got. Our waitress was kind, funny, polite, and really on it with making sure we had everything we needed. - was pretty chilly when we were there so the big rollup windows were down. I really appreciate that. Sometimes you go places and they have those things wide-open, even though it’s freezing outside. - Easy to walk to from downtown Pismo hotels but not in the midst of all the crazy that happens right at the beach.
Got the birria tacos they were yummy and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Very good vibes in here
Super chill pub to have a drink. We didn't order food during our visit, but the menu looked great. Loved the vibe of the place, especially reggae music they had playing.

I looked at the menu that was a month old and was anticipating getting their name sake burger, the Break-Fast Smash burger. I arrived ordered my beer and told the bar tender what I wanted to order. My mistake was not looking at the menu until I had already ordered. My burger of choice had been changed, cheese downgrade from cheddar to American and the avocado was not included without a $3 additional charge to a burger that a month ago was $18 with avocado is now $20 without it. EDIT (after revisiting the menu the price increase now includes an option of fries or salad where before it was $4 for a side) My biggest issue is that as the namesake burger with a breakfast theme it should be served with a properly cooked egg as described in the menu, as medium. My medium egg was rare, with the inside white being clear and uncooked. I told my server/ bartender and about the egg and she offered a new egg which I accepted. I did hear some comments from the chef (fry cook) when my replacement egg was requested. I received a replacement egg that was properly cooked on the inside but the outside was rather crispy. Unfortunately after hearing the cooks snarky remarks prior to preparing it I was reluctant to put it on my burger once I received it. Not a very professional response to a problem that was his as the cook. The Frys were excellent and the burger was good other than my disappointment in the changes and the egg preparation. The bartender basically ghosted me with respect to service after my replacement egg request/offer… not sure why but I obviously came on a ‘local’ night and as a tourists by their definition I didn’t feel very appreciated. I was excited to see this place so close to where I was staying and the menu and reviews had me pumped, but sadly they have made a VERY bad first impression on me. I will be in the neighborhood working for the next couple of weeks and I may give them another opportunity for improvement on a non-tourist day to see how my service is. If improved I will update this review. UPDATE: I went back and ordered the Phish’s-O-Fillet sandwich which was good, my only critique is that it was heavy with black pepper and the cheap American cheese did nothing to enhance the sandwich. The fries were a little too seasoned compared to the previous visit but still good. The server/bartender from my previous visit was not working which honestly I was glad to see. I was taken care adequately and the service was great and no unfriendly people! I would go back again to try another menu item. The atmosphere was also good being Monday night football night again. All in all the food is not excellent but good and if they made a few adjustments to work on consistency in preparation and with seasoning it would be much better. Which is what my second visit was, much better!

Food was ok. We really should have looked at the menu before deciding on here because we wanted fish and chips and this was one of the places that came up. For $25 you get two small pieces of halibut split in half and a ton of fries. Fish wasn’t anything special (in terms of flavor) so for the price…elsewhere that gives more for your buck would have worked better if you’re really hungry (checked other places to verify this afterwards). My family and I ordered birria fries which were ok too, chicken tenders - and that dish actually came with a lot of protein, and a burger. So nothing really stood out in flavor but the ambiance was pleasant and we enjoyed eating together. Place was clean, restrooms were too. Very cold in there, including the service but overall we were hungry and place was not too bad.

We went Saturday about noon. Food was great and the atmosphere was good. Service was horrible. The server just seemed like he didn't want to be there that day. Maby he was having a bad day but good service is key to maintaining a prosperous business.

It was such a mistake to stop here today. I thought the location was convenient but nothing was good about the experience. The service was terrible the food never came out, I had to ask for it to be removed from our check. The drinks were okay, but it's beer so how do you really compare?
