The owner Joyce and Danny are not only wonderful people but their restaurant and their staff are also wonderful every time we go they always treat us like family they definitely spoilers we love the atmosphere and the people and the food as well thank you so much for coming into our lives love always Lucy and Danny from Florida
Far exceeded my expectations! Had an avocado peanut roll, and it was some of the best sushi I’ve ever had…
My partner and I came on a Saturday night after a long day, and it was great! We had seaweed salad, shrimp shumai, miso soup, and a few rolls that were super fresh. I especially liked the Hanada roll! Portions were generous and the price really wasn’t bad for the amount of food. Highly recommend!

The place is small and doesn't have much atmosphere, but we always get take-out. The hibachi chicken and the beef negimaki are our go-to dinners when (we want to think) we're eating healthier. I've also had the udon noodles, which is a good option. I hear the sushi is excellent, but we haven't tried. We sub the miso soup for mushroom soup, and the salad dressing is awesome.
The food at this place tastes yummy . My boyfriend and I were looking for food in the area , and you came to this Japanese restaurant. The food didn't take long to come out either . This was my first time in a very long time that I had fried ice cream . It was exactly how I remembered it being . I tried the Japanese soda for the first time, and it was amazing . The way to unlock the bottle is fascinating. I will definitely be returning soon.
Been here since sandy, love the food and how the recipe always stays the same, so I can enjoy the iconic taste of sushi and teriyaki. I love the hard dedication this restaurant gives since 2012. Love this place and I will keep coming till it closes.
Great place located 10 min walk from ferry and 10 min walk from beach. Fresh fish counter for sushi and all round well prepared dishes. Was my first visit to Rockaway on a short trip from London and my wife and I were very impressed. 9/10 would recommend
From the first sip of the Miso Soup, loaded with umami and not overloaded with salt, we knew we had a winner. We both went for the Lunch Boxes (11:00 AM - 5:00 PM); one Eel Teriyaki and one Beef Negimaki; both included Salad, Vegetables, Sushi, and Dumplings. Everything was superb, generous, but not overwhelming, portions. I noted that each had a different selection of vegetables, which showed an artistic choice of pairings. We will be back when next we are in Far Rockaway.
My daughter, son & I went to Osake for dinner. The food and service was excellent. I highly recommend this Location at B116 at Rockaway Park.
This place has been a staple of the community for years. The food is always fresh and good, prices are reasonable, staff is nice and the owners Danny and Joyce are great people and members of the community.

It has been about 10 years since my first time trying O'Sake. I have not been dissatisfied at all. I have had thier many dishes and all are very good. The combo box with teriyaki chicken, rice, salad and California rolls is my favorite.
I have ordered only to go. Inside it is okay but not fancy. Sushi rolls I have tried are good. Kani Salad is good but portion is too small. Miso soup is okay, seriously diluted. Tom yum soup is horrible, nothing like authentic soup, diluted, no tomato flavor at all, so horrible that it went to trash from the first sip. The website ordering is broken for some items like Kani Salad, when I have reported inside about issue, they have just ignored it :-)
Great combo roll for sharing with friends after a beach day. The rolls were tasty and the service good. The place is small but we were comfortable. The prices, compared to Manhattan, are really low.
I never really leave reviews but felt obligated to. I enjoyed dinner there last night with my friend and the sushi is so good. I have eaten here many times and have never had an issue. I did however order tofu teriyaki which was fantastic….until I found a bug in my broccoli the next day….now you can say I planted it and I’m looking for some sort of compensation. No, I just want people to be aware because that is a HUGE no no for me and I would want someone to share this experience as well.
I ordered chicken and shrimp teriyaki and the teriyaki sauce was extremely watery. I had to put my chicken and shrimp to the side so it wouldn't get watery. I called the restaurant and the service was friendly but this experience was so bad it drove me to write a review. I wouldn't recommended, save your money
