Dinner on Saturday evening: the warm, friendly welcome at the entrance was already a good omen, and we already had high expectations. These expectations were confirmed with the arrival of the appetizer (very fast service; we chose the Garibaldi and Anita menus), both of which were delicious. It seems trivial, but it's not: the waiter asking if everything was okay is a plus not found in every restaurant. Fantastic, authentically flavorful first courses. The house wine was fantastic. The cheek was truly something you could cut with a breadstick.

By suggestion of the waiter we took mixed plates of piemontese starters. They were delicious, especially anchovies with green sauce, and vitello tonnato. Service was quite fast and kind. At the end they even gave us a small discount

Buon cibo, buon posto, buona localizzazione. In due. Antipasti, secondi, 2 calici di vino, acqua e caffè. Ci ritornerei. Da attenzionare il locale principale.

Locale nel pieno centro di Asti, all'ingresso subito accolti molto bene chiedendo se volevamo stare dentro o nel dehor riscaldato fuori, abbiamo scelto fuori perché dentro un po' forte odore di cibo. Nel dehor, servizio veloce ed accogliente. Cibo buono con porzioni gentili. Prezzi onesti. Bravi

Da circa 2 giorni, a pranzo e cena, veniamo con mia moglie al ristorante la Piola di Garibaldi. Buon cibo tipico della zona e buon servizio a tavolo. Da consigliare a coloro che cercano un buon ristorantino tipico.

Location in pieno centro ad Asti. Piatti tipici della tradizione locale con prodotti freschi. Il personale è molto gentile e accogliente. Unica pecca la cameriera (forse non fa parte dello staff fisso) che ignorava spesso i clienti quando la chiamavano (noi inclusi) e quando le si ordinavano cose banali come una bottiglia di acqua, se ne dimenticatava anche se poi glielo si faceva notare. Ce l'ha portata da una ventina di Min e dopo due volte che ci aveva detto di sì (con tanto di cibo in tavola) portando alla fine una bottiglia liscia quando ne avevamo chieste di gasate. E comunque c'era poca gente. Gli altri dello staff super gentili e attenti. Ci tornerò

Menù molto interessante con piatti tipici piemontesi. Possibilità di scegliere piatti singoli o approfittare delle varie proposte dei menù fissi. Personale cortese.

Restaurant in the center of Asti. Excellent value. We ate typical Piedmontese food: Nebbiolo braised beef with mashed potatoes, plin (a kind of pasta dish), and vitello tonnato (veal with tuna sauce). The wine and liqueurs are also local and very good. The service is friendly and not overly formal. The only downside: it was a bit chilly outside.

A nice place for dinner. And a menu with a good value for your money. The service is attentive but in busy times it can take a while. The location is in a busy corner of the city but still nice.

Restaurant serving traditional Piedmontese dishes. Service could be improved; we waited 35 minutes before we were able to place our order. A bottle of wine arrived after the appetizer. Good food. Not recommended for those with gluten or lactose intolerances; only three accessible dishes (mostly appetizers) on the entire menu.

Saturday noon, decided to try the restaurant because of the positive comments and the traditional local cuisine. Went at 11:50, got a coffee, and they mentioned they would open at 12:00 for lunch service. Came back at 12:10. The server was rude. Only three tables were occupied, and they mention to come back at 1:00 pm because there were no seats available and it was busy. Consider reserving or planning ahead if you want to visit the restaurant.

Very, very bad. After we were seating it took a quarter before we could order. A quarter later we got the appetizers, but only after a reminder we got 10 mins later the wine. Next, it took almost 3 quarters before we got the very moderate primi. We complained about the timing, so a quarter later we got the secundi. But alas, the fried meat was cold. So, not fresh baked but bad warmed. The staf did not enter any discussion when we left halfway the dinner

We have never been so disappointed in a restaurant in Italy. The terrace is beautiful, but the food is terrible! I never thought I would say this about an Italian restaurant. My husband had such tough and veiny meat on his plate that he simply couldn’t eat it, he only ate the potatoes and left the restaurant hungry. My meat was quite tasty, but instead of the promised vegetable side dish, they also brought me potatoes, but I don’t eat the potatoes. So I was also hungry. And none of the waiters even asked if we liked the food and if we were satisfied. We will never return to this restaurant and will not recommend it to anyone. There are too many wonderful restaurants in Italy to visit this one.
