We absolutely love the food and the service at this place! Such a great restaurant! Thank you for our lunch. Wishing you prosperity and more grateful & satisfied customers
Excellent food and customer service. They accommodated us as we wanted vegetarian options. They also brought us three varieties of salsa with varying spice levels. The waiter was very friendly

The Central Coast kind of occupies a no man’s land in regard to its taco shops. Often having more of the “mission style” flavors/ingredients, which I don’t care for. I prefer the San Diego-style taco shops that I grew up with, and Papi’s (now El Guacho) nails the flavor in the carne asada department. It’s the only place in the region that takes me there. And while that might be less objective, they deserve the rating. Excellent each of the handful of times I’ve been so far.
Very good Mexican foods, and the staffs are very friendly and patient.
When we come to a horse show in the area, we make sure to eat at Papis during our stay. You get a lot of delicious food for reasonable prices. The murals make you feel you are in Mexico. They are very colorful. The food is fantastic. We have tried different things, and it is always great and plentiful. Staff is very nice and serves is very good.
Had the chicken, asada, and fish tacos, which were all excellent! Served with chips and salsa verde, for no extra cost, a really nice touch. The salsa verde was one of the best I’ve had anywhere: fresh, tangy, salty, and perfectly spicy. Highly recommend trying this place!
I always go to the laundry mat rite behind here (which side note the Swish and swirl laundry mate is the best) but yesterday I showed up kinda late to wash clothes and figured I would go get dinner from here when I was done. For one there asada was so fing good like really good I got the plate with rice and beans . Highly recommended and their they're green tomato sauce was bomb like worth going back just for that pretty sure you can put it on a shoe and it would make it taste great 🤙
They have great Mexican food. You need to try their Tortas! The service is great. Anytime you ask for something made specifically to your liking the cook and the server do their best to not only meet but exceed your expectations. You have to try their flan!
very casual place with outside tables (+ small inside area). Btw two people had two fish tacos and two Birria tacos. Fish was tender, Birria tender and great flavors. We both thought that they were the best tacos we've had in quite some time. (Saw other patrons with massive burritos, for those who want a larger amount of food). Friendly and helpful wait staff. Close to freeway off ramp and so easy to get to. We will look to come back.
The food is absolutely divine. The flavor is spot on and so far the only worthy Mexican restaurant in SLO county. Our order was chicken fajitas & shredded chicken torta. The salsa bar is a flavor land. Very personable atmosphere 11/10

Food always tastes good as it was this time. However everyone has an off day and maybe the cook was having one this visit. The meal tasted very good but was a little over cooked and tough. This won't prevent me from going back because like I said before the food always tastes good. Normally I'd give them 5 stars but an off day took one away.

I ordered the carnitas burrito. Hardly any meat, no flavor, mostly beans and rice. Salsa had not flavor either fish burrito same thing. Hardly any fish, mostly beans and rice and bland. This establishment is under new ownership. Hopefully they step up their game because the previous owners had excellent food. Customer service was good that’s why I’m giving 2 stars
My wife and I went to visit town. We love small restaurants. Honestly, this place was bad. She saw the cook and just order a bean and cheese burrito. I ordered a steak dish. Dam over cooked or reheated. Rice was stall.beans yuck. Im sorry but dame the only good I can was the service. Foods D-. I wanted to get a refund or something different. But I just don't want any from here. Different cookneeded

We used to go here frequently until last year. Whomever was at the counter that day treated me extremely rudely and tried to charge me $5 for one tiny container of salsa. Their loss; we probably visited half a dozen times in the year before that and now we will likely never go back. If they don't treat you rudely, the food is fantastic. We're just not going to give our money to organizations that don't treat their customers right. For restaurants that have excellent food AND service, try El Taconazo, La Parilla, and/or Que Pasa.
Food is terrible. Boy oh boy they need to step it up. The beans taste like they are canned and need more salt. The french fries taste like they are from a frozen bag. The asada tasted old. Like when you leave the raw meat in the fridge for a couple of days. Salsa also needs flavor. Really really wish the food would of been delicious but this is my first and last time. I have visited quite a few Mexican restaurants where ever I travel and locally in Atascadero, Paso, Templeton, Morro, and in slo and this is at the bottom in taste/flavor. This is coming from someone who grew up with homemade Mexican food. My grandparents have had a restaurant for close to 50 years and my mom taught me how to cook at a young age. But everyone has a different opinion and to others it might be delicious which is respectful.
