Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Linden, NJ. What a treat Freddy’s Frozen Custard is! I love a good smash burger and Freddy’s has an amazing smash burger menu! I loved the classic original double and the patty melt was heaven. I love the old school vibe-a frozen custard and a burger is classic combo. Don’t miss the cheese curd side-so cheesy and squishy! 🌀Oreo Double Trouble Frozen Custard. 🌀Custom Frozen Custard with Gummy worms. 🌀 FREDDY'S ORIGINAL DOUBLE- Two steakburger patties, cheese, mustard, onion & pickles on a toasted bun. 🌀 FREDDY'S ORIGINAL PATTY- Two steakburger patties, Swiss cheese & grilled onions on toasted rye bread. 🌀 JALAPEÑO PEPPER JACK DOUBLE- Two steakourger patties, pepper jack cheese, sautéed jalapeños and Freddy's Spicy Jalapeño. I absolutely love their burgers and ice cream ! Plus the thinly sliced shoe string fries with cheese ! The customer service was great and the location was very very clean. It was nicely decorated with info about Freddy. Their burgers were thinly sliced with the outer slightly crunch which was different from your regular burger but sooooo GOOD! The place offers drive through and outdoor dining as well. Absolutely recommended !

I recently heard about this spot and had to try it out seeing it was nearby. I've heard a lot about this crispy edged patty and love a good matchstick french fry. Very reminiscent of Steak 'n Shake. I ordered a Freddy's original double combo with a strawberry and banana shake. The other person ordered similar, but with cheese fries. The cheesy fries were a slam dunk. Not too salty and the cheese melted nicely and was not hardened like some other 'unmamed' franchises. I absolutely loved my strawberry banana shake with real fruit. Caution to the wise, don't get a large shake..lol It was just a lot of calories, so a small will suffice. At least for me next time. My only minus was that the burger was a tad on the salty side. Lay off the salt on the burgers and this would have been a 5/5 food experience. This was a nice and conveniently located spot, staff was nice and the bathroom was clean! I know, that makes a difference too. Thumbs up! And sorry the photos are blurry, I was in such a hurry to take a bite.

Food was pretty good, had the California burger which is a burger with lettuce and tomato with a sauce comparable to big Mac sauce. They have shoe string fries which are great on the burger for extra crunch. I had the cheese curds which were great, little on the salty side but not too much incase you need to watch your salt. Also had their, I think it was, cheesecake shake which was excellent. Two meals and a reg shake came up to about $33 which is comparable now to the fast-food places. Definitely hit it up again for the cheese curds and shake alone.

It is a very pleasant and casual family atmosphere. I communicated what I wanted clearly and the cooks executed it very well. I am not a fan of the very thin shoestring fries, but they are ok. There are substitutes to replace them, if you desire. I ordered the patty melt with sautéed onions, however I suggest getting a double burger on it because the burger on it is very thin. The price is great and the service impeccable. My overall impression is I will definitely dine there again. You can also order custard, ice cream, and tasty deserts!

Not your typical burger joint. This place is different and the burgers taste like real burgers. I love their fries. Everything is different here even the fries. I highly recommend if you’re up to old school burger restaurants.

Classic! People complain about the mediocre food from fast food joints, but demand speedy service. Freddy’s is a cut above but they make your order fresh - so it will take a few extra minutes. It’s worth the wait!

I went to Freddy’s today and had the chicken sandwich it was really good. But the overall experience wasn’t great. The cashier had a dry attitude and acted like she didn’t want to be there. I also ordered a strawberry ice cream, and when they called my number, the young white guy gave me the ice cream and threw the spoon at me. He then stared at me, like he was waiting for a reaction. It felt very unprofessional and made me really uncomfortable. I decided to eat there, but the place wasn’t clean there were a lot of fruit flies, and the trash cans were full. The food was good, but the service and cleanliness need serious improvement.

I ate at Freddy’s today and overall, I enjoyed my meal. Although the restaurant wasn’t very busy, the condiment bar and trash area were a bit messy, and I noticed a few small flies likely due to garbage that hadn’t been taken out. With the number of staff present, I expected a little more attention to cleanliness. I ordered a double bacon burger with no cheese and no pickles, but it came with mustard—which I hadn’t requested. When I mentioned it to the staff, they corrected the order right away, were very polite, and even apologized for the mix-up. I appreciated how quickly and professionally they handled it. The prices are also reasonable, especially for a party of two—I didn’t spend much at all. With a little more focus on cleanliness and order accuracy, this location has great potential.

The first time I ate at Freddy's was at the North Brunswick restaurant. Food was good and hot. I decided to try this Freddy's in Linden after work for dinner. The first thing I noticed was the area packed with traffic and there were no cars and minimal traffic at this restaurant. Placed my order and I waited at the pickup window so long, I turned off my vehicle and sat..I ordered 1 chilli dog with onions, tater tots and a orange frozen drink. I got the drink and literally finished it before I got my food. $14😱..The tater tots were soo oily and salty I couldn't eat them(Luke warm). The chilli dog bread was oily on the bottom, chilli flavor and hot dog was good however the onions was soo strong it took 3 days to get the smell out of my truck. Never, NEVER again!!!

This was my first time trying Freddy’s, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. When I arrived, the restaurant did not appear to be busy. I noticed several employees in the back standing together and laughing, while no one was at the front to take orders. I waited about five minutes before anyone acknowledged me. When a male employee finally came to the counter, the interaction felt rushed and unwelcoming, and his attitude made me feel uncomfortable as a customer. Good customer service is important, especially when the store is not busy, and I felt the situation could have been handled more professionally. Because of this, my first impression of Freddy’s was not a positive one.

This is by far the worst place I ever been. Not only was my food thrown together with a soggy bun. The pickles and onions were basically on the side. For $40 I could have went to MC Donald’s and got a better burger than this. Not only that they didn’t even follow basic order instructions! No cheese on my burger. No sauce. Fries were pure awful. Cheese curds half way filled and awful and cold! My entire order had to be reheated and that made it even worse! I will never order from here again! After reading the reviews I decided to give this place a try! I regret the very moment I did that! It’s a shame for so much money they couldn’t even put the right stuff on my sandwich nor could it have been hot. Shoot I’ll take lukewarm but cold is insane! Never again!
