Lobby was absolutely disgusting. We had to clean off our own table as not a single one had been wiped down recently. There was good under the tables on the floor and I actually slipped on an unmarked drink spillage on the floor. Employees were playing on phones so there was time to clean lobby.

Dirty. Very Dirty and I was there 15 minutes after opening no clean tables at all and I think I was the first customer for dine in. Definitely not a crew that likes to see customers coming in

Waited for over 10 minutes at the drive through with no response. When I called to ask why, I was told they don’t put on their headsets until 10:15 even though they open at 10. I asked why they didn’t have a sign up to tell people that and I was hung up on. I call again and ask for the manager since the employee was no help and told them what happened (no apology for the initial hang up btw) and re-asked my original question. I was told that they did have a sign up but the owner told them to take it down because it “wasn’t a good look” so I ask: “well don’t you think that may be part of the problem then?” To which I was told “yeah and it you” and was hung up on yet again. Rude, unprofessional, lazy staff. Don’t waste your money.

Placed an order on 2/20/26 around 750PM.. The order was SUPPOSED to be ready by 8 but went to pick it up and the girl at the window was EXTREMELY RUDE and just said "WE'RE CLOSED!" And slammed the window shut in my face! I was CHARGED for food I NEVER GOT!! WILL NEVER BE BACK EVER AGAIN!! ID RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY AS THEY ARE THIEVES AND RUDE!!!

Last Friday on 1/30/26 this KFC would not answer a phone (all day) . Apon arriving at 6pm the building was completely dark and nobody around. If this business is closed please update Google so people know. Thank you.

I went to the drive thru at kfc tonight and Chrissy was at the window and was rude as hell about saying they were closed and I told her that need to update there hours and she that has nothing to do with her and that’s on the owner and slammed the window shut!! I will never go back to the location again

Always out of everything some of the workers are lazy not all! Never have stickers to tag their orders! Awful!

The chicken we ordered was original but when we got to the window they were sold out. So we took the 8 piece crispy chicken bucket. When we got the chicken home, the chicken looked humongous but after pulling all the skin off there was very thin meat.. We wasted money going there!

We ordered KFC Athens, AL- last night 1/15/2026 in the 6pm hour online using the app. It was an 8pc original recipe with mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac and cheese, biscuits, plus a chicken pot pie. Paid online, and husband went to pick it up. He got there and messaged me- they had no original recipe, no Mac and cheese and no way to refund us without jumping through hoops online. We are easy going people, so we said just give us the extra crispy chicken and 2 mashed potatoes and gravy & the pot pie, they packed it up and he came home. When he got home they had forgotten the pot pie. So he went back to get it. The chicken was horribly over-cooked, breast piece was fair, but the rest was hard and dry, wing was like jerky, like it had been sitting out for a long time in the warmer. Mashed potatoes were fair, gravy seemed thin and was sparse. Biscuits were the best part- they were actually quite good. But they sent 8 individual containers of BBQ sauce when we never asked for it. Wasteful. When husband arrived back at KFC, they said,”what did we forget?” as if it’s a common occurrence. Now look- I’m not a confrontational person but this is ridiculous. What chicken restaurant is out of original recipe chicken and Mac and cheese at 6pm with no chance of making another batch when they don’t close for a few hours? Husband asked if they had been really busy tonight and got no response at all. The app is terrible, if they’re out of something it should show that BEFORE you order, but that’s on corporate. I’ve ordered pot pies before and gotten a phone call from this KFC saying they’re out and the options were always the nuggets/potato combo. The owners just spent a ton of money making the outside of the building look great, but the business model is terrible, it needs a serious overhaul. I’m done wasting my time and money at KFC Athens, AL.

Placed an online order for a family meal 12 piece bucket with 6 drums and 6 thighs, with 3 sides and 6 biscuits. Picked up order and did a quick look at everything. All sides were there and just opened the bucket of chicken, from what it looked like, it was right at first glimpse. Come to find out, all the drums were on top and underneath there were 4 wings and a beast. So not only was it the wrong pieces of chicken, it was 11 pieces. Thats completely unacceptable especially considering the price at 40 bucks. I tried calling them 3 times and no answer. So I decided to go back up there which is about 25 minutes from us. They were unapologetic about it. We got what we came back up for but again I spent 40 bucks and had to come all the way out again to get what we initially paid for. So sick of the food industry now.

This food was not good our food was not cooked all the way by the time we noticed they where closed already they need to make sure and cooked their food right next time it’s not the first time it has happened the food inside is red

Drive thru experienc.I ordered a 4 piece chicken strip and mashed potatoes. I paid extra for Mac and cheese, that I did not receive. I got 3 burned, dried out and un-eatable chicken strips. $13.89 for garbage.

Went through drive-thru once it opened in Athens Al off of HWY 72 and Jefferson St. No one responded so had to walk in to order. I watched the server in back serving mashed potatoes and gravy. No gloves were being used. The server had his bare thumb in the little dish holding it while he was pouring the gravy, and got it on his thumb. He then wiped his thumb on his apron and proceeded to do the same with other orders. Where are the gloves, and why isn’t he holding the dish in the palm of his hand? That’s just nasty!

Be careful eating here my husband took a bite of his chicken and I think it my be hard plastic but it was in the chicken. The staff didnt seemed to concerned

Flat drinks. Got replaced and gave an extra FLAT DRINK. Lady who gave us food was nice. Managers walking around slower than a turtle doing nothing. Food was cold.....just skip on to the next kfc seriously

The fries were really bad. It didn't taste good. I ordered around 8 sauces including gravy. They didn’t give me even one. It was a drive through order. I didn’t have the time to check everything. I ordered $30 worth things and cant they give some sauces? Not going there anymore

Got 8 pc. dark bucket, there was about 1/4" of grease in bottom of bucket, the chicken was soaked in grease. Disgusting no excuse for that. Been eating at KFC for decades never again. $32 to be thrown out.

My son didn't get his fries or his extra fries. He didn't get his sauce. We didn't get straws for our drinks. Prices go up and service goes down. Makes zero sense.

Colonel Sanders would roll over in his grave if he could taste the chicken this place serves. Here's why. ABSOLUTELY No TASTE. What happened to the ELEVEN HERBS AND SPICES they are SUPPOSED to cook with the CHICKEN NOT TO MENTION IT WASN'T EVEN SALTED.

Placed an order online. It wasn’t ready when I got there. Since it wasn’t ready I asked for thighs and wings. I got 7 legs , 3 thighs and 2 breast. I tried to call and it went to a message saying voicemail wasn’t set up. The chicken was super greasy and the skin was falling off. I never got anyone on the phone. Dreadful, absolutely terrible. They deserve negative 0.
