We had our first Booked and Brunch book club meeting at Le Colonial. Its a large beautiful, inviting space and the ambience food and service were all 10 outta 10. I had the Signature Saigon Tea and Fried Rice and was very pleased with my selections. The staff was so attentive and accommodating, and graciously took pictures/videos of us when we requested. I appreciated the valet parking validation as well. I'll definitely return.
Arrived at 8:30pm on a Tuesday Night and it was crowded! I made the mistake of booking the reservation outside but the waiter was decent enough to get us a booth inside. The new waitress was nice but just ok. Maybe since we were the last table of the night. Food was great tho. We tried a few things. I wouldn't say its a Great date night place because its pretty tight quarters with people everywhere but still a nice cool restaurant with great food. Although we didnt like the chocolate cake dessert lol. Will a different one next time.
1st visit! I would highly recommend. The starters and mains were all very tasty. Red Snapper for the win! Lychee Martini was tasty. Great atmosphere
We had a wonderful experience at Le Colonial, thanks to Fatima. Her service was excellent from start to finish—very attentive without being intrusive. She made fantastic recommendations that we loved, and the food was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the entire staff was wonderful. Fatima truly elevated our dining experience, and we’ll definitely be back!
The food was very good and full of authentic flavors. Overall, it was a nice experience. I would just add a small note that a bit more attentiveness from the staff would make it even better. Still, definitely worth visiting for the food.
This is my new favorite restaurant in buckhead, GA. The French restaurant decor is diffently French style but the food is Vietnamese. It was a great combination. I loved the padi with tofu, and it was on the spicy side but liked it. I don't remember the appetizer when avocado and Cavier, but it was delicious. The staff were top notch that a high-end restaurant should be in this area. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will return again in the future when in town for business.
I came here to celebrate my birthday with my girls and I enjoyed myself! The food was great and the ambience was 10/10. My favorite items were the garlic noodles. Definitely recommend coming here if you haven't already.
I was so excited to try this Asian Fusion place which screams fine dining! This restaurant is so well decorated and makes the perfect spot for a special occasion. It is located in Buckhead village and also provides a 2 hour validated parking. I have been twice, once for happy hour and once for my birthday dinner. They are very strict with reservations on weekends so show up on time. The staff here is so kind and accommodating! They make the experience even better! The food was delicious, fresh, and flavorful. It is pricey but worth the money you pay! Their dessert menu looked absolutely phenomenal and I will have to check it out the next time I go.
Loved our experience here! It’s was our first time and our server Dylan took great care of us! He offered delicious suggestions off the menu and we thoroughly enjoyed all of our items. Would definitely be back :)
DELICIOUS FOOD & HIGH QUALITY SERVICE✨ Our server Saida went above and beyond for us and was very knowledgeable of the menu. She was honest and helpful. We tried the chicken dumplings, ceviche, salmon filet, and clay pot chicken. We finished off the meal with the Warm Dark Chocolate cake with a Rum Flambé. Oh!! And the cocktails are delicious. EVERYTHING tasted wonderful and cooked to perfection. There is something for everyone here. Very classy and intimate and reasonably priced for the quality. I will be back soon!🔥
This is THE date night spot. It’s classy, upscale, and intimate. To get to the restaurant you have to go up an elevator where you’re welcomed by staff. The lighting is dim and the tables are spaced out enough to where you don’t feel like you’re in others conversations. The staff are very knowledgeable and well dressed. The menu isn’t large but it doesn’t need to be with the quality of the food. Their lychee martini is top notch delicious and a total fan favorite. My favorite dish of the night was definitely the yellowfin tuna tartar, absolutely scrumptious. I can’t find a bad thing to say about this establishment. We went during the week but I would say make sure you have a reservation on weekends and a pretty penny to spend.
Le Colonial in the Buckhead area is truly one of my mom’s and my favorite restaurants! We come here often for lunch, dinner, and special occasions, and it’s always a wonderful experience. We had lunch here today and everything was exceptionally good as always. Our waiter, Dylan, was amazing — super friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations. The service was fast, the food came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor, and the team always goes above and beyond to accommodate us. It was our first time trying their lunch menu, and we loved it! My mom had her favorite salmon, which was cooked perfectly, and we also tried the pork and chicken roll, which was delicious. The shrimp stir-fry, fried rice, and lychee martinis are always 10/10. The ambiance is beautiful — fresh flowers on the tables, elegant décor inside and out, and an overall peaceful atmosphere that makes dining here feel special every time. They seated us quickly even without a reservation, and everything from start to finish was perfect. Le Colonial in Buckhead is consistently one of the best dining experiences you can have in Atlanta.
I can confidently say that Le Colonial is hands down my favorite restaurant in all of Atlanta. Every time I visit, the experience is nothing short of perfection. First off, the food is truly unique. It’s not just about the taste, which is always incredible, but the presentation is a work of art. You can tell the kitchen puts immense care into every single plate that goes out. It’s a feast for the eyes before you even take the first bite. The service here sets the standard for hospitality. The staff is always so professional, attentive, and knowledgeable without being intrusive. They genuinely care about your experience, which is rare to find these days. The vibes are unmatched—the atmosphere transports you the moment you walk in. Whether it’s a special occasion or just a nice dinner out, the location and ambiance are spot on. Despite being an upscale spot, the value for money is absolutely there because the quality is consistent. I have never had a bad experience here. 10 out of 10, every single day. Keep doing what you do!"
We came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and had such a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, Ruben at the host stand was phenomenal. She made sure we had a great seat and truly helped set the tone for the night. She made my friend feel so special right away. Our main server, Corey, was just as good. The service throughout the evening was thoughtful, attentive, and genuine. The food was delicious, but what really stood out was how we were treated. They made the celebration feel personal and memorable. We will absolutely be back, not just for the food, but for the way they made us feel.
I first visited Le Colonial in Chicago and had a wonderful experience, so I decided to visit the Atlanta location during my trip. The restaurant still has a great atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was good overall, but it wasn’t as impressive as what I remembered from Chicago. We ordered the chilled shrimp roll, pho bo, and a couple of other dishes, and everything was enjoyable. However, the noodles felt slightly overcooked, which affected the texture, and the pho bo broth lacked the clean, refreshing depth that I remembered from the Chicago location. Still a pleasant dining experience, but I was hoping for a bit more consistency compared to the original.
Le Colonial is basically a fancy PJ Chang’s, not that that’s a bad thing exactly. It’s a pretty restaurant, with a rich color palette and views of the buckhead village district. Mood lighting and fresh flowers to boot. Usually I come here with family who are from out of town and want to go to Le Colonial when they are in the city. This time, our bill was $400 between three of us. For that price, there are more sophisticated options nearby. Let’s start with the drinks. The party I was with had no complaints with theirs - (but they had nothing to say about their drinks either). If you are sober and want a mocktail though, the ones on the menu are basically $14 Shirley temples - kids drinks with a fancy name. I drank the second one on the list down quickly, not because it was good, but because I was waiting to see if the server would see the glass empty and ask me if I wanted something else. The server did not. I candidly thought this was insulting - not the server, but the mocktail. You can get a good mocktail at Lucian Books and Wine of all places. From there things improved. 1. The papaya salad was just okay (I’d pick a different salad). 2. The raviolis were tasty (so maybe pick those instead of the papaya salad, or get some of the table sharing items). 3. The shaking beef was good and eliminated the need for the papaya salad. Everything picked up at dessert, including the service. I had the sundae with a lavazza coffee and it was very decadent and satisfying. All in all, another pleasant outing, but this is not a foodie experience. I’d recommend it for the pho or for dessert.
The restaurant's ambiance is stunning. It truly feels like being in a Southeast Asian country. I blindly ordered five dishes, and none of them were disappointing. The pork short rib tasted very similar to braised pork. The ribs were a nice mix of fat and lean, preserving Asian dietary habits. Cocktails are all very delicious. The shrimp green curry had a rich coconut flavor, as expected. The ginger glazed chicken in a clay pot tasted a bit like three-cup chicken and was delicious. Highly recommended. The seabass had a refreshing, sour tomato flavor and was surprisingly delicious. The drunken beef was a bit tough. The beef pho soup noodle soup base was sweet. It was just the typical beef noodle soup flavor you'd expect. I don't think it was worth ordering here (it's a bit pricey).
If you’re looking for fine dining in buckhead, Le Colonial is a great option. Come dressed to enjoy high quality Vietnamese dishes and drinks. This restaurant has a beautiful conservatory lounge in the back for pre and post dinner. My favorite dishes are the chicken dumplings and shaken beef. The fried sweet chili fish also doesn’t disappoint but it is at market price. For dessert, I absolutely love the creme brûlée . Pretty much you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The restaurant is consistent in their quality of dishes. Their prices have gone up like any other restaurant in the Atlanta area.
Weekday Brunch Parking - Valet or self-park Service - phenomenal, we were constantly checked on that it truly felt like fine dining Drinks - delicious (espresso martini, lychee martini, pina colada) Appetizers - Tasted better than the main dishes (spring rolls, egg rolls) Salmon - plain, coconut sauce under it is overwhelming and not tasty Spicy chicken - tastes more like Chinese than Vietnamese, still better than Salmon Key lime - little too sour but tasted good (acquired taste) Beignet - hot and fresh, soft, fluffy, not too sweet and came with 3 dipping sauces which were pretty good (caramel, coffee, raspberry) Would I give it another try? Only for the drinks!
A couple of months ago, I would have said Le Colonial was the best restaurant in Buckhead. Tonight’s dinner, however, proved that impression was unfortunately fool’s gold. If our last visit was a 10, tonight was at best a 5. Both the food and the service (from our server, KB) were below average—to the point that we won’t be returning anytime soon. The evening started poorly with overcooked, lukewarm chicken dumplings and lukewarm shrimp and chicken egg rolls. My wife ordered the duck, which had been excellent on a previous visit, but tonight it was noticeably inferior. I ordered the Spicy Shrimp Stir Fry, and the shrimp were overcooked, rubbery, and again, served lukewarm. Unfortunately, the larger issue was the service. From the moment we placed our order, everything moved at a painfully slow pace, and we were never checked on after our food had been served otherwise we would have sent some dishes back. Near the end of the meal, one of the ladies at our table began coughing and needed water. After asking two servers who walked by, our server finally came over—only to ask if we wanted another bottle of water, when all we needed was any water, immediately. Earlier, we had also been asked if we wanted dessert and said yes. Fifteen minutes later, nothing had arrived. When I reminded our server, she responded curtly, saying, “I have to clear your plates first.” While that may be true, those plates could have been cleared at any point during the previous 15 minutes—by her or anyone else. Instead of enjoying dessert, coffee, and an after-dinner drink as we had on our last visit, we decided we had experienced enough frustration for one evening and chose to leave. It will be quite some time before we consider coming back.
