Tip: The '3 for me' special is a great value. If going on a Sunday evening, be prepared for a wait, but the bar usually has space.

The food was good and came out in the appropriate time. Quality of the food was good and the portions were decent. Our server was awesome and checked on us often. He was friendly and came around often to make sure everything was good.
Wilson is the Michael Jordan of waiters and I feel unworthy to have been served by him. Truly a god walking amongst men. I will be calling in to ask if he's on staff before coming in because lord almighty, that was an experience everyone deserves to have at least once.
We had Tasia as our server and she was amazing! Super attentive, quick, and kind. Food and drinks were great as always!
Y’all weren’t lying. My friend and I went as a last minute—very hungry decision. And oh my gawd was this the best meal I’ve had in a while. We went on a Saturday, was expecting it to be busy, but we got sat right away and got our drinks in literal seconds. I can’t remember our waiters name, but whoever he was deserves a raise. The food was amazing and despite living an hour away, I’ve been wanting to go back since. Also the lava cake is to die for, I need 30 more.
I have been to a lot of restaurants in my life. Ranging from small burger joints to 2 Michelin Star restaurants and maybe its the lavacake speaking from the bottom of my heart, but the experience in this etablisment is nothing but breathtaking. The service, food and vibes were over the roof. If I was a local, I would be dining here everyday.
Wilson was one of the most attentive servers I’ve ever have. This was my first time visiting the 45th and Lamar location and I truly enjoyed it. Hope to be back soon!
I had the BEST experience today thanks to my server, Kylie! She was absolutely amazing so funny, sweet, and genuinely made my whole day better. It’s rare to have a server who can brighten your mood just by being themselves, but Kylie did that for all of us at the table. She was super attentive, had the sweetest personality, and created such a fun, welcoming vibe. Chili’s is lucky to have her! I’ll definitely be coming back hopefully to have her again. Like I want to be friends
Our experience at Chili’s was outstanding. From the moment we were seated, Sara took incredible care of us. She wasn’t just attentive — she was genuinely on top of everything before we even had to ask. You can tell she takes pride in her service. Hats off to the manager as well. There was a small issue, and he went way beyond what we expected to make sure everything was taken care of. That level of customer care is rare and truly appreciated. The food was on point. The Santa Fe Burger was packed with flavor, the Enchilada Soup was rich and comforting, and the wings were cooked to absolute perfection — crispy on the outside, juicy inside. Overall, a great experience from start to finish. Definitely coming back.
Our waiter was more than attentive! He kept the diet cokes flowing throughout our lengthy stay. We were catching up with old friends and never once felt rushed. The manager proactively gave my fiancé wet wipes just before she picked up the wings in her triple dipper. The service and food were impeccable. I can’t express how perfect everything was!
Went in for lunch with my sister and had a 10/10 experience. Our server Jose was attentive, friendly, made honest recommendations, and quick to anticipate our needs. The food was so fresh and tasty. Jose also made chilled green tea shots that were sooo smooth and good! I wish all locations provided such a flawless experience. Thank you!
We had to stop by and try the one and only, online posted, Michelin star rated Chilis in the USA (wasn’t sure if it’s true but…). I was just 28 years old last time I was at one and I was frankly surprised. Michelin rated, probably not, however, the service, speed, and general quality was as high as it gets for a restaurant that does not have a valet or a dimly lit space. That being said, what they do have is worth writing about. Unbelievably fast, friendly service, someone always looking over your shoulder to refill your drink and at price that does not eat up an honest days wages. The food was as you would expect and adjusted for price pretty darn good but not pretentious or over sold in a “too many garnishes” kind of a way. It was good, fried food for the most part that was great in texture, fresh frying oil crispness and of high quality overall. I give tonight’s Baby Back rib Saturday night experience a high five star review! P.S.The molted chocolate cake is pretty ridiculous (melted chocolate filling in the middle of decadent chocolate cake with a caramel drizzle topped with vanilla ice cream under a hard chocolate shell topping). Sorry we forgot to take pictures of the food but here’s the last bit of dessert…
The best Chili’s I’ve probably been too. Our server was kind and efficient. The food came out quickly and pipping hot. Not to mention that our food was also delicious. You just can’t beat the prices either. This is the only Chili’s I want to dine at in Austin. The rest do not compare. Very satisfied with my experience here for sure.

For what it's worth, the mozzarella sticks were the best we've ever had at that price point. Everyone was great value for the price. Service was quick and efficient. Zero complaints!!!

Can't beat Chili's, its a great place. We sat down and ordered a triple dipper. Mozzarella sticks were fantastic, a cheese pull that must be seen to be believed. The sliders were alright, a little tough, not my favorite. The chicken tenders were divine, perfectly moist and breaded. The bacon ranch quesadilla was pretty good as well, although I was already full after splitting a triple dip. As the Greeks say, "Know Thyself". I had a strawberry margarita too, it was superb. Our waiter was also really good, super on top of things and very friendly. Unfortunately I'm bad with names. Anyways I love Chili's and you should too.
Service was great, the waiter was super friendly and funny and we had a great time with him. The drinks came pretty fast and the food came relatively quick as well. Even on a Wednesday it was super full, both the parking lot and the interior. The food is more on the bigger end, especially if you order something filling like pasta. However, there are not very many options that are vegan or vegetarian, most of the menu is meaty or starchy. You're not going to find many fresh fruits or vegetables being used. The tvs playing in the background is also annoying, 8/10 times I looked up there was an ad playing. It's overstimulating. The mini iPad thing at the table was incredibly useful for splitting up payment as a group, but the other time it was at the table it was just playing ads. There was no napkin dispenser, and instead simply a pile of them in the middle of the table. The bathroom was relatively clean, fully functional which is nice. Overall I would come again with friends.
My experiences here have always been acceptable. Meals have been made to specification 85% of the time. Service has run the gambit from the very personable servers to the disinterested. Management has been responsive to concerns I've expressed. They run with some hiccups during their busy times, and I recommend you calling ahead to get on their waiting list, rather than just showing up at rush times. TVs are situated well in the bar and there is ample seating there.
So I recently started dining at chilis because there really aren't that many affordable casual restaurants in this part of Austin and sometimes I want to spend 12$ or less on a margarita and just e…

the ambiance is nonexistent. the lobby is lit brightly with hot white fluorescent bulbs and i'm overstimulated. food is great, service is great, my eyes hurt.
Been to this location twice in one week. The first time, my order was perfect. No issues. Second time (the next day) ordered the same thing (3 for me) & was slightly disappointed. My lemonade wasn’t filled. Had to ask for them to top it off, also the salsa was completely watery with no chunks of tomatoes… dipping chips was pointless. Also gave me ONE ketchup packet. Had to ask for me. Please be consistent with food & service. This isn’t a “don’t come here” review, just please note, CONSISTENCY MATTERS.
My problem wasn't the food or the service. My problem was the PRICES. $13.59 for a margarita and $13.39 for a burger and fries! How did the drink cost MORE than the meal. The bartender apologized as he wasn't aware and said he would have suggested something else. I didnt want the margarita of the month but I am sure they could have made me some kind of $6 drink. Very disappointing.
The wait times here are ridiculous, nobody should have to wait to eat at a chilis. But a $6 margarita is a $6 margarita.
I ordered the nachos and my partner got the triple dipper with the fried mozzarella, bone in buffalo wings, and the nashville hot chicken crispers . The nachos were subpar, it didn't have many to…
Are you even from Austin if you haven't experienced the Chili's on 45th and Lamar? Reddit told us this was THE date night spot to go. We ordered a round of drinks, some fajitas, chicken crispers,…
I grew up going to the original Chilis in Dallas on Greenville Avenue. It has been a staple in my life for a very long time. I was recently at the Chilis on Lamar Avenue in Austin and tried to order the skillet queso. What came out was NOT skillet queso. When I asked about why KT was different the server told me Chilis had discontinued it. I nearly passed out. I asked if they still had chili as a joke and she responded that it had been discontinued also. I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone. How could the restaurant I had know since I was a child discontinue what made them who they are?! Many years ago they discontinued the classic chicken crispers…you know, the ones with the tempura batter. All of these items were some of my favorite items and the sole reason I would go to Chilis. Now they are gone. So I give them good ratings for atmosphere and service but I have to take exception with Chilis removing the classics from the menu. Why would I come here anymore?
Saw the biggest roach I've ever seen in the bathroom and the queso was ice cold. Didn't even get a discount after telling the manager lol
They ran out the waffles to complete my order and got an attitude when asked if it would be the same price.. I already payed at this point and just asked for three extra boneless wings that went wi…
