Really good spot and the employee are great too. Definitely will come back again
Excellent food, warm ambiance, and top-notch service. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented—
Very good food at a great price! I like the Beef shawarma over rice
Halal Hub offers a small and simple setting with a big taste of authentic Indian cuisine. From flavorful curries to aromatic biryanis, their dishes capture the essence of Indian flavors. With warm hospitality and affordable prices, it's a hidden gem worth exploring. Highly recommended for a delightful Halal Indian culinary experience.
The chicken rice place was delicious, enough food for 2 meals, great price, and the service was fast and the cashier was friendly. There weren't many people inside, most were picking up orders, so it was nice and quiet for me and my friend who decided to dine in. It seems like they care about their customers and want to provide delicious food in a timely manner. Definitely try it!
I was craving chicken tikka and this place happened to be closest to me so I gave this a try. I ordered chicken tikka curry which came with rice and naan. Everything was amazing. Service is great. Staff is friendly. We also tried their samosa chaat which was great. I would be stopping by again whenever I’m in the area again.
So I was hungry late at night and the taco bell line around the corner was just so long so I took a flier on this spot and so glad I did! Ordered the #12 Chicken and Gyro wrap. It was well prepared and presented. Packed full and delicious. Of course I made a mess but it was delicious and the red sauce on the side was a spicy treat! I will definitely be going back. Recommend you bring cash...they give 10% discount.
Excellent food! Quick service. Will definitely come back again!!!
Amazing food! Must try. We had the over rice. I couldn’t believe how delicious and generously portioned everything was
I consistently get take out from this place, they do a good job while also being fast and reasonably priced. The times I've had it delivered it's been less than ideal, but that's the fault of the delivery people and not the folks working here - I live less than 5 minutes away, it shouldn't be cold when it arrives. It's hard to find decent food, open late, with a good value, and not bathed in grease. Sure I've had marginally better takes on the same dishes I've ordered here, but those places aren't close to home and open fairly late. I'm glad I gave them a try, it's been a great option picking up dinner on my way home from work.
Best place to eat when ya trying to get the gains up. Cool guys that work here always make it work for ya.
Ordered online. The food was amazing. The gyro meat and rice is very good and the sauces complement perfectly. Also had the samosas and they were perfectly fried.
I ordered the Chicken Shawarma over Rice, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly seasoned—juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The rice was fluffy and fragrant, a perfect base that soaked up all the spices and sauces beautifully. The white sauce and hot sauce combo added just the right kick without overpowering the dish. Portion size was generous, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Halal Hub is definitely my new go-to spot when I’m craving something flavorful and satisfying. Highly recommend!
Love this place I eat here once a week
The customer service was very good and the food was awesome. I would highly recommend this place if you like this type of food.
Attention all foodies! Just had a jaw-dropping Mediterranean/Middle Eastern feast from Halal Hub delivered by DoorDash, and it's like a flavor explosion in every bite! The chicken shawarma from Halal Hub? Pure perfection – tender, juicy, and bursting with authentic spices. And let me tell you about the masala tea – it's a warm hug in a cup. But the real showstopper? The Gulab Jamun! Sweet, syrupy, and utterly irresistible. Huge shoutout to the culinary wizards at Halal Hub for creating such mouthwatering dishes that are clearly made with love. And big thanks to DoorDash for making sure my food arrived fresh and hot. Trust me, you need to experience the magic of Halal Hub ASAP!
They make the best Gyros in Austin. I just wish they would give more spicy red sauce. That spicy red sauce is delicious and makes the gyro 100 times better! I highly recommend
The people working in this restaurant are respectful, very polite, and have high morals. The food is top notch, cleanliness is the most important thing to them, and the treatment is much better. I say about them that you are the best ever. I wish you more success and progress. Thank you, my friends, for making people love you
They're always really nice and the food is delicious. I like the fries and the combination plate. Sometimes I'll get two and pig out 😔
place is clean. staff are polite and helpful. food is the best part. definitely recommended!
Indian and shawarma food very good 👍 it's new to me so go 🚶♀️ 😋 buy there and check ✔️ I think you will love ❤️ it.
Food is always tasty and fresh! They have really great prices and the staff is nice.
Fire food, good portions and its like 2 to 3 dollars cheaper than most halal places. A gyro plate is only like 12 bucks, and if you pay with cash you get 10% off. I eat here all the time.
We stopped there for the first time after helping my son move from his nearby apartment. We couldn't decide what we wanted, so the man taking our order gave us a generous sample of chicken, lamb and gyro to try. I had the #2 gyro plate with rice and salad and my wife had the chicken and gyro plate. Both were very delicious with generous portions at a reasonable price. He even threw in complimentary drinks since it was our first time there. We've been back twice since then and will definitely return.
Halal Hub in Austin is hands-down one of the best spots in town for Halal food. I tried their combo plate with chicken and lamb over rice, and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and paired beautifully with the fluffy rice, crisp salad, and generous drizzle of white and hot sauces.
I wish they had better seating. But otherwise I love this place. So delicious!!
As good of a Halal place around here as there is. I go often for lunch, and they give a 10% discount if you pay cash. They also give you a complimentary soda when you order an entree, both very cool. The food is very, very good, I always get the combo chicken and gyro wrap, and with the chiIi sauce that comes with it, mixed with the ranch drizzled over top it is always so tasty, but messy 😋. Everything is available in bowls for people who don't want to get messy. I love the dolmas, and can never not get them when I go in... a very nice and different kind of flavored dish for most people, the combo of the oil and lemon with the grape leaves are something I just love. They have the best mango lassi I've ever tasted. It's out of this world. They also usually have great bogo deals on doordash and are open late. Highly recommend
Food it fantastic, authentic and well seasoned. Highly recommend! Staff is super friendly
I got the butter chicken plate which was delicious and came out fast. The place is pretty, bright and clean. Great spot for group lunch!
Was good but I’ve had better at the domain spot. Didnt put alot of white sauce but in should of asked for a lot and didn’t have to much meat.
Quick service and delicious food. We got chicken over Rice and gyro over rice. There should be more meat in the servings. Would recommend 👌
Dude I can’t even hate. 2 for 1 gyro wraps for $15 on DoorDash every day and they’re actually good. Insane deal, love what they’re doing here.
Really solid spot. I stopped in about an hour before closing, having just landed at the airport. Service was friendly, portions were solid, and the food was just really good. I have had a lot of no-frills Halal that simply "is food" and this is a clear cut above that. I will definitely make it a point to return when I'm in the area!
I was glad to see that this place was near my home and remembered it on my way home. I stopped by to order a combination plate: gyro and chicken. I was surprised to find the price lower than it's competitors for $10.99. Downtown Austin I would be paying more like $14.99 + tax. Obviously cost to operate is more costly downtown than in Lakeline (north Austin). The place is your typical box restaurant in a shopping strip but the store was fairly clean and roomy. There were eleven tables that could seat four comfortably. Cushioned chairs made it comfortable to sit. Men's Restroom was clean. That's important as I see the state of the bathroom as the state in which they care for the rest of the establishment. Now the food: Combination Plate - Gyro Over Rice. As reflected on the photos. I was impressed at how much they gave me. The tray was loaded! The moisture of the rice, gyro, and chicken were moist and tender. Perfect!👌it wasn't dry or over cooked. Just right! The vegetables were also fresh - not over ripe or soft. Just right! I also received an extra cup of creamy sauce and a side of hot sauce for those who like it spicy which I do. To summarize my experience: I'll definitely be back for more Halal here! It's a great place. Affordable and the quality is very good 💯
I know I normally take pics, but this food was sooooo good that I simply didn’t want to take the time. Here’s the deal though – not only is the food good, but the customer care is amazing. I have been a few times now and I have always been greeted with a smile and patience. That alone makes this a great place to grab lunch. If you don’t have long to wait for food on your lunch break, this is a place that will work for you. The food gets out very quickly and is always hot and truly tasty. Tip – ask for an extra of both the red and the white sauce – you won’t regret it. The location is a pretty easy in, however, getting out can sometimes be a bit more difficult – depending upon the traffic coming off of 183 (I take a left out of the side entrance, and even that can be tricky from time to time).
It was our first time here. We always love Indian and Mediterranean food. We were hungry and we saw this place, so we decided to stop. Being this was our first time here, we were having trouble deciding what to eat. The staff graciously offered us a generous sample of lamb and gyro so we can decide which one we like best. The food is reasonably priced, tastes very delicious and the portion was very generous. My husband has a big appetite, but even he couldn’t finish his food. We ended up combining our leftovers and took it to go for another meal. Their service is outstanding and all the staff are very friendly. We love the food here. We will surely go back if we are in the area.
Knew this place was had high potential when we were rung up by the sweetest kid behind the counter. Simple and clean restaurant, you order at the front and get your food when called. All meals come with a free drink. Ordered the Lamb Shawarma Over rice (#7) and Chicken Tikka Masala Platter (#19). They offer a few basic Indian dishes here, was intrigued to try and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Lamb Shawarma Over Rice- Heavily spiced tender slices of lamb. Rice and tahini sauce complemented the bold lamb flavor. Chicken Tikka Masala- Savory sauce with a slightly spicy kick, just enough for flavor but not set your mouth on fire. Chicken roasted perfectly, some smaller bits intermingled into the sauce with a few larger juicy bites of white meat. Came with two pieces of naan, super fluffy with a crisp charred exterior, lightly salted. The ideal naan texture to pair with the tikka masala sauce. You get a real bang for your buck here. Delicious food served in a no frills restaurant. Fairly large portions for the price. Looked like most people order to go instead of dining in. Quick service.
Amazing delicious food for an affordable price! Gyro over rice is my favorite dish I highly recommend! Very flavourful and the red and white sauces are the best! Mango lassi is heavenly! This is their second location and I’m so happy they expanded as we always go to their food truck whenever we make a trip to Austin. I want to also say that Tarif who helped take my order was incredibly kind and super helpful with recommendations. I really appreciated his friendliness and wonderful service.
Halal Hub provided an exceptional takeout experience. I recently ordered their Falafel over rice and French fries for pickup, and it exceeded my expectations. The falafel balls were crispy, the spiced basmati rice was flavorful, and the side salad was fresh. The signature white sauce and hot sauce added an extra layer of deliciousness. Despite enjoying the meal at home, the quality and taste were impeccable. The portion size was generous, ensuring a satisfying meal. I'm impressed with their efficient service and top-notch food quality, even for takeout. Halal Hub is definitely my go-to spot for Mediterranean cuisine, whether dining in or taking out!
Had a late night craving for buttered chicken/Nan. I am satisfied! I got a second one to go for lunch the next day. Will be ordering again!

My favorite Halal in Austin, TX. \nNothing beats the price and amount of food. Always good here! 10/10, would recommend!

Changed their name to Halal Hub. Came here for lunch. I initially ordered online but I think it was before they opened so they charged my card but never got my order. Going to keep an eye on whether or not the charge went through. Food was fine and service was fine just need to fix their online site.
The place is clean, the chicken over rice combo is really good.
Recently, we moved from New York City to Austin, TX. Finding a halal restaurant was a bit harder for us. I had to admit myself in the hospital just the day I moved here with my wife. While I am in the hospital bed, one of my colleague, came to see me in the hospital and bring two chicken shawarma for us from Halal Hab (From this location). We liked it so much and decided to get food from this store a few other times. But one thing we noticed that, salt on the chicken shawarma is getting more and more each time we tried it. And finally we had to stop getting food from here because, one day after getting food from the store, we couldn't eat it at all. We had to through it out to the garbage. We still like the food, but can't eat because the salt on the chicken shawarma is too too much. Hope some day we will try one more time and decide. Hope the owner will consider lowering down the amount of salt in the food.
Update 7/25 - went there again. This time ordered the Gyro over rice. The meat and the seasoning did not taste anything like Gyro. It tasted more like Indian Keema over rice. It wasn't bad... just didn't taste like Gyro. They should rename the dish to something other than Gyro. Original review 7/18 - first visit here... very good food. Will definitely come back. Ordered Chicken over rice.
The food is amazing!! I missed this kind of quick eat at night. However, being from Cali, good customer service would mean to not have an ear piece in your ear taking orders, and a better understanding and communication in English. Excitement to want to serve. The space is good for a sit in with friends and family to eat, but has fans to keep cool. Overall, I would still come back for the food, and the discount with cash is a nice touch
We waited about 10 minutes for our meal. Service was prompt, kind and courteous. Appreciated the discount for paying cash. The pita on the wrap is a bit thick and makes biting it difficult but a problem easily solved with a fork. The chicken shawarma was a nice colour and texture but perhaps a bit chicken stock tasting. The lamb shawarma platter was a bit small given the price. The flavour was very good with just enough spice heat its perhaps slightly over coated in spice. My favourite was the falafel but they don’t make them in house
This restaurant might not generate discussion because of its interior decorations but their tasty food definitely does. The beef shawarma over rice that I ordered really blew my mind; the beef strips were nicely seasoned and cooked, the rice and salad that came with definitely paired well with the beef. The chilli sauce that came with it was excellent and packed with some kicks. 😅 Overall, I strongly recommend it. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
My wife and I were searching for a quick, good Mediterranean food restaurant nearby, and Google recommended this establishment. We approached this corner shop with somewhat difficult parking and saw a storefront which did not appear as it was clean when installed. The interior was not much better, and resembled a public area in Calcutta. Oddly enough, the bathrooms were surprisingly clean. The owner was present the only one present, and appeared from around a dirty, bamboo partition when the bell on the counter was rung. Regardless, he took our order, and despite my misgivings about the cleanliness of the interior, the food arrived promptly and my wife and I took out places and commenced our meal with plastic tableware while country classics blared in our ears. The falafel was perfect, with a perfect crispness which opened with a fragrance when bitten. The French fries were a triumph, and worth purchasing separate. The gyro meat was pretty good as was the rice. I would return and definitely recommend for TAKEOUT rather than dining in.
I ordered 20 pieces of falafel on a bed of lettuce and the man tried to charge me and also tried to give me something I did not want and then I went on a price of charge more than I wanted to pay f…
Fairly priced but very lacking in flavor balance. The chicken tikka masala was stuffed with spices but lacked a satisfying tomato flavor and creaminess you expect in a tikka masala. I also had a whole star anise to chew on in my dish. It felt carelessly prepared. Lacked acid balance to round out fats, meat was not chunks but strings. Low quality feel. The 5 dollar trader joes microwaveable is superior.
The chicken and lamb combination over rice was really good when I had ordered that couple of days ago. I ordered a chicken over rice and lamb over rice plates. Both of the meat items, chicken and lamb were very dry and lacked flavors. I am not sure what happened between the two days that quality went so low. I guess the service was great so I may swing by just to give another try.
The quality of the food is definitely there but portions are on the smaller side compared to other chicken and rice halal places (though prices are lower here as a result). Just note that chicken shawarma and rice is just spiced, cooked chicken - not chicken that is actually sliced of a roasting spit. Also this place tastes more of Indian flavors than Middle Eastern - still tasty but just a heads up; the chicken was juicy and well flavored, just not the traditional chicken you'd expect.
Food was okay. Not very spicy. Bland. A bit overpriced. It seemed more like microwaved fast food than actual cuisine. Gyro meat was ground and not cut from a vertical rotisserie. The cucumber sauce in the gyro tasted like it had mayonnaise in it. A bit strange. Then again, Mediterranean and Indian food combined is a bit strange.
service was terrible, cashier was rude and straight up ignored everything I said or asked.
Getting smell from meat and I ordered extra meat but they gave me regular meat. Never gonna come back here
Got the combination plate today and the chicken smelled like fabuloso and tasted like soap 🧼. I would highly recommend going elsewhere. Currently dealing with a migraine and slight sickness from it.
We ate here in person. Pretty nasty stuff, and I’ve got a high tolerance for gross. Dirty tables and floors, rough smell, cold meats, sauce tasted more like ranch than tzatziki, fried foods clearly were cooked in old oil, 99% of the items were wilted lettuce
We ordered hummus and definitely got a spoiled one. When asked about it, we were told thats how it would be. No replacement , nothing. It has no taste , just a cold solid paste stored in refrigerator . Doesn’t have any salt or other ingredients etc. The oil over the hummus was frozen. If you’re going for hummus to this place, you should definitely skip it. Rest of the food is ok.
Bland chicken very dry on top of that employee did not want to give me my order that I had placed over 30 minutes in advance kept saying I had placed it at another location when I definitely placed it at this location very irresponsible.
Not worth your money food was hard and burnt. Small servings and bland food took forever just to be terrible. Do not recommend 👎
Food is good. But worst attitude and service by the people. The most pathetic is they don’t serve water or water cups and you need to pay for water too Shameful
The food is too cold and not at all cooked. I ordered food to my work place and never had this experience of uncooked cold food. They obviously dont have any concerns over food safety and I hope authorities to shut this down. Please don’t give away frozen food if you cant run a joint, just close it ffs.
Bad. Foods overpriced for how bad it was, it was burnt and rock hard, small serving sizes, took very long, bland and just not good. Definitely not worth it!
Absolutely worse decision i made in eating here . Tainted food and throwing up and fighting for my life all night . Contacted restaurant and offered to bring back their chicken shawarma wraps as i should have know by how gross and slimy the chicken and the lettuce was . Anyway the manager didn't even apologize or offer refund as i will not come back or recommend to feed stray animals . Definitely not for human consumption .
Absolutely disgusting. I ordered two dishes and both had hair in them. This is beyond unacceptable and shows a complete lack of basic hygiene and quality control. Finding hair in one dish is bad enough, but in two? That’s not a coincidence — that’s carelessness. This experience completely ruined my meal and my appetite. I will never order from this place again and strongly advise others to think twice before doing so.
I don’t understand why they have such high reviews. The food is mediocre at best, cheap quality meat. The worse part is when I walked in the store, it’s smelled like an old dirty rag, it was very off putting. The floors looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. I ordered chicken and rice, instead of regular garlic sauce, it came with ranch. Instead of being transparent and informing customers that they don’t have the white sauce, they just have ranch. It really shows that they don’t care.
I ordered through Uber Eats yesterday and honestly it was a total disappointment. They sent me a mini wrap, the quality wasn’t good, and it was mostly lettuce and vegetables with barely any other ingredients. I’ve ordered from this place before, and I don’t know if they changed the portion sizes and quality but kept the same prices. Honestly, I don’t recommend it and I wouldn’t order from them again. Such a disappointment.
I used to enjoy getting falafel over rice from Halal Hub, it was one of my go-to meals. Previously, they always provided a good amount of sauce, which made the food taste great. However, on my recent visits, they’ve started giving only one small half container of sauce with the meal, and the dish really loses its flavor without enough sauce. What’s more disappointing is that they now charge extra for additional sauce, even though the menu doesn’t list any price for it. The quality of the food is still okay, but the new sauce policy really affects the overall experience. I hope they reconsider this change or at least make the pricing transparent on their menu.
