Ce que disent les clients de Lucy's Bar
Lucy's Bar is a classic dive bar in the East Village with a chill vibe, friendly bartenders (Ivan, Hannah, Hernan, Conner, Jon), and a working jukebox. It's known for strong, cheap drinks and pool tables, though some find the service haphazard and the pool tables subpar. Cash only.

Tip: Be prepared for a cash-only bar with an ATM that charges a fee. Go with friends to enjoy the pool tables and jukebox.

Avis sur Lucy's Bar Avenue A
the bartenders were sooo nice. even when it was busy they acknowledged and would say like, be right there, youre next.
Another great little bar, bar staff are a bit haphazard but hey, it's not a fancy place. Sit at the bar and have a beer and a Jameson.
Had a really good time here. Friendly bartender and crowd. Couple of pool tables and a good jukebox.
Hernan, and Conner, and Jon were very sweet. Please promote them. They are very nice!
Lovely dive bar atmosphere. Working jukebox with great song selection. Went during the re-opening week and they had great well drink prices, I don’t know if that’s permanent but it definitely made me stay much longer than I anticipated. Bartender was very accommodating and the bouncer Wilson was super kind. Can’t wait to return.
Lucy's is no frills & that's just the way we like it. Service from behind the bar is fast & friendly (they do offer Guinness). There is a pool table at the back. Most patrons stand & chat. Everyone we encountered was friendly & approachable. Prices are gentle. Decor is modest. What more do you need on a Sunday night around 11:00 PM ?
great dive bar if you wanna get into any type of grungy scene. the pool tables are absolute trash but that is half the fun. also the bartenders were fighting about some dumb young love shtuff that was entertaining even though it was a bit awkward. strong and cheap drinks. cash only.
Call this a dive bar alright - I dove down a couple of notches class wise .... Not for classy ladies ... alas ,, if you want a pint go ahead ,, juke box SWANGIN,,, LOTS OF MEN
They need to help the poor guy out behind the bar and hire another bartender or a barback. Sad how much that place has changed :(
I love Lucy’s over the years but hot dog tonight was rough. Not only was the bartender visibly drunk when I told her the order she kept pouring the wrong drinks. After the third time she exclaimed “why does it even matter?” Prettty rough. First time in three years I refused to tip.
I visited this bar one night relatively early, before the crowds started coming in. I managed to grab a seat at the bar. Here, you can't get beer on tap. They have a fridge on the side with some options that they can open for you. It's cash only, with an ATM that takes a sizable fee. This bar isn't really my scene. While their beer selection had some variety, I wasn't too impressed by the bar overall.
Had the rice ball at the festival . Nice sauce and filing but very stingy on the filling
Stay away!!! Go down the street anywhere else. Didn’t even get to go inside the bar. The bouncer outside was extremely rude and when I was confused when I couldn’t hear him, he asked “what are you not getting? Do you need me to say it slower for you?” Didn’t expect such hostility. Genuinely the worst security guard I’ve ever met.
Be careful going to this place they are notorious for having pick pockets. Was in there for 2 mins and my girls phone was stolen. And come to find out the employees are fully aware that it happens all the time. Found out 4 other peoples phones were taken that night.
I had a terrible experience here. I tried to get a drink 4 different times and the bartenders were super rude to me. They looked at me in my eyes and then ignored me. I kept waving them over and waiting patiently but it was obvious they were ignoring me. 10 mins later after giving up trying to get a drink ( it wasn’t even busy) the security guard came up to me with one of the bartenders saying i had to leave. And of course he used a racial slur. I’m a black man and I felt very discriminated by the white bartenders. definitely not a safe space. Be careful around here.
Went there last night and the older woman with curly brown hair was working. She straight up said “what do YOU want” mind you, I just came in and this was the first drink I ordered. After she made my drink I handed her cash and she quite literally threw my change on the counter. I truly can only come to the conclusion that she is clearly racist and did not want to serve me. If I weren’t celebrating a friend I’d make a scene in the moment cause girl, the attitude was so unnecessary and out of the blue. Maybe if you have a hard time serving BLACK PEOPLE, you shouldn’t be bartending in NYC
