Very chill atmosphere, and the food was top notch. The wings were fried to perfection and their home sauce was delicious! The grilled chicken salad was also great but too big to finish. Overall great time, will definitely be back.

Last time we visited, we saw my sister here & she so happened to be on a blind date!! Totally acted like we weren't there so we embarrassed her 🤣 offered her a slice a pizza and her date thought I was some random dude...this visit we had some burgers n pizza n fries n onion rings n even some chicken wings! All fat we stuffed our faces with some delicious grub...can't go wrong with Babe's. Cashier guy was playing some great tunes and we thanked the cooks as we always do when we depart. Restaurant and restrooms are usually clean and prices are within budget. Plenty of parking and plenty of seats indoors and out. Maybe we will eat out in the patio next round...my family of five are for under $60. Thanks for another great experience.

I've been eating here for over 2 decades. The food has always been consistent. My go to items are the onion rings and the mushroom Swiss burger. Prices are fair, food always is made to order and comes out hot and full of flavor. Beer and drink selection here is pretty good as well. The atmosphere is nice, and I've never had any problems with the food or service over the many years I've been dining here. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good burger.

I love the food here. Vibe hasn't changed much since I was a kid. Food is still on point but what's funny is I love the shakes there and when I ordered one it smelled burnt, like the machine wasn't mixing correctly and when we informed the manager he gave a refund as I barely drank it but it didn't feel good when the manager basically didn't believe me. He said "we havnt gotten any complaints about it". Like, okay so you don't want to know when something is wrong? How will you know if we don't say anything? It just didn't sit right with me and I think the manager should've handled it better. All that being said, the rest of our food was great. We ordered the mushroom burger and the tenders.

Haven't been here in about 30 years and it is still pretty good. Had the old fashioned hamburger (GOOD) and a basket of half fries and half onion rings (GREAT). Not to expensive (less than $15 and took home a bunch of fries and o rings) I recommend for an affordable lunch or fast dinner. Definitely not fancy, but good.

Babes Old Fashoin Food is a hot spot for hamburgers, wings, and pizza. This location is not the newest but is more convenient to us. The beer is cold and now they have a selection of ice creams. We ordered pizza, chicken tenders, hamburgers, onion rings, fried mushrooms, and fried jalapeños. All of it was great. If your not careful you can find your way back twice a week. There is a patio on the street side but it's August and way too hot to be outside but it's great an a cooler day. The restaurant usually has sporting events on TV and they have a modern jukebox playing your favorite music. It was a little crowded today but that won't stop us for coming back. Good food Good prices! I posted a picture of the sign but Babes is not listed on it.

They drowned the burgers in Mayo so be aware of that. They didn't give pickles and onions to everyone that ordered burgers just one person even though we all asked for everything on the burgers. Young lady at register overcharged for drinks despite them being included with the combo special. Then she was hesitant to refund the money. The burger patties were delicious and the fries delicious. Onion rings came out pale practically white and zero flavor. Those were returned. Honestly it's better than McDonald's but it could have been great if they just gave some effort and attention to the orders. WOW service was lacking. Serve yourself yet they want you to put a tip?

I really wanted to love this place because it came so highly recommended by friends and locals, but unfortunately it just missed the mark for me. The burger was definitely the highlight since it had good flavor and was cooked well, but the rest of the food left me disappointed. The fries did not have much seasoning, and both the onion rings and fried pickles tasted undercooked, like they had only spent a few seconds in the fryer. Instead of the crispy crunch I was expecting, they came out tasting mostly of flour and oil.The booths were on the small side, which made it feel cramped for our group, and the bathroom could have used some attention when we visited. None of these issues are deal breakers on their own, but when added together the experience felt less enjoyable than I had hoped.To be fair, the burger and the chicken strips were solid, and they are the reason I did not give this a 1 star review. I think there is potential here, and maybe we just caught them on an off day, but based on this visit I cannot say I would be in a hurry to come back

The menu is on the wall. You order and pay at the counter. Then you find a seat and wait for your name to be called to go pick up your food. Note: they use a pre-tip system here when you pay for your order. So, not sure what I was tipping for. These burgers are huge! I got the mushroom and swiss and added jalapenos. It was good. Had to cut it in half. The onion rings were thinner than I liked and the fries seemed a tad over cooked.

I don't normally leave bad reviews but this place earned one. The food was disappointing at best. The wait was even more disappointing after the food came. It was flavorless and the buns were soggy. They left 4 items off of our order. Fried pickles were over fried and we're pickle chips. My pizza tasted like it was a frozen pizza. This location sucks. Ok timeline: we showed up at 645 and received our food around 8.

Burgers had NO flavor and super greasy. Fries were soggy and undercooked. The onion rings and fried pickles were ok. No clean tables when we got there, had to clean stuff from the table we picked. Music was too loud. Couldn’t even take a phone call due to it being too loud.

We ordered online at 7:50pm we went to babes and waited in line for AN HOUR!!! I recommend babes to my sister who is new in San Antonio because the food and service was great 2 years ago. This is the same exact store we returned to and waited in line for so long for a to go order that we received at 9:00pm..our food was so cold and unenjoyable by the time we were able to eat it (we live 5 minutes away) I’m so disappointed on the service and the wait… I really wish there was a better structure when it came to online ordering… sadly my sister had a bad first experience although I know the potential this company has I had no good experience to back up my expectations…. Very very disappointed we spent over $60 on cold food

This was $64 for delivery? Hamburgers were cold with thin, season less patties. Missing part of the order. What was delivered was rolled up into tiny paper balls. We were hoping to at least enjoy the carrot cake and brownie but sadly no. Both from a mix, cake like without texture and flavor. When you think of Old Fashioned food, you imagine home cooked style. This place takes short cuts and does it on the cheap. Do not recommend you order from this place.
