We picked the central bar, and honestly — I’ve never had sardines this good in my life. Crispy, juicy, and so fresh they probably swam here themselves this morning. On a quick pit stop, we also tried the super-sized, super-tasty oysters. You simply point at a mountain of them, and the guy opens them right in front of your eyes, adds lemon and spices, and voilà — straight into your mouth, sea breeze and all. Worth the crowd, the noise, and the smell of a thousand fish — enlightenment tastes like grilled sardines and salty oysters.

After years of regular visits, it remains a fixed stop on my Barcelona itineraries. Among the tapas I never fail to order, I highly recommend the chipirones and patatas bravas, the latter served with a sauce that reaches truly remarkable levels of excellence. Recommendation: Essential for those seeking authenticity and quality in the heart of Barcelona. An institution that maintains its high standards over time.

They closed at 0800 pm but I arrived at 07:45, We are tbe last customer and served out in quickly. All the seafood are fresh, delicious. Especially the scallops.

Excellent seafood. Once seated, we were served quickly and our food was also served soon. The waiter Chose was great! We were very satisfied here. The best thing is the atmosphere of the local market.

Came here again after 5 years and it is still worth the wait. The freshly deep fried anchovies are a must as it is only about an extra €2 compared to those sitting too long in the cone. I enjoyed the grilled sardines as well since they are not easily available in my country. Servers are always cheerful though they can be too busy to attend to you immediately.

Came by for lunch n the food was incredible!! It’s hard to get a seat so do make sure you queue at the right place and get a menu from the start so that the waiter knows you are in the queue. We ordered the following dishes (all grilled) 1. Razor clams - extremely sweet cos it’s really fresh. Best we ever had 2. Squid w chips 3. Prawns 4. Mixed veggies 5. Octopus - this tasted off n we told the waiter who then cancelled the item

Es carísimo pero bueno, es lo esperable de un lugar tan turístico. Le bajo una estrella por el precio. La sangría estaba fuerte y riquísima (7,5 €). El pulpito a la gallega muy rico también. Estaba explotado de gente.

Delicioso !!!!! Las croquetas son todo un éxito. Su comida es clave si buscas comida española típica y buena, lo malo es que esta muy caro al estar dentro del mercado más turístico

Un lugar muy bonito. Sí que es turístico pero vale la pena el ambiente. El pulpo gallego y los pimientos padrón eran riquísimos. La camarera que nos atendió fue muy amable 🤍

We stopped here solely to try fried anchovies made to order. They were okay, but they lacked that umami flavor you get with anchovies so I would not get these again.

Manchego board and scallops. Delicious. This manchego was such good quality. You can’t go wrong with a board full of quality cheese. The scallops were cooked perfectly. Covered in garlic and lemon and with a smokey taste. It’s also great to see your food cooked right in front of you. The staff were friendly here, and gave some good suggestions. I had a lovely time here.

Just so people understand, this is what 41.50€ worth of food (& 2 beers) is there. Pretty decent we are very happy from the service, Maria was very helpful and she did know how to speak and sing in English. 😊 seafood seemed pretty fresh the cooking seemed very professional, nice beers, the only reason why I would not do 5-star is because I’ve had exactly same dishes in Tenerife for better price and quantity. But still good for this place considering you’re in one of most popular places of Spain

Muy buen lugar para picar y tomar una buena birra, desafortunadamente nos tocó un horario complicado y el servicio demoró bastante, pueden olvidar un poco a algunos comensales. Las bravas son buenísimas y las tapas de jamón. Recomendado si tienes ganas de probar un pedacito del mercado, quedarás satisfecho.

Dentro del mercado la Boqueria se encuentra este restaurante con larga trayectoria. Los camareros increíbles y en especial Jose el chaval con don de servicio 10/10 👍🏻. La carta muy extensa, manejan tapas, paella, carnes y mariscos a la parrilla. No es fácil conseguir una mesa o sentarte en barra porque siempre están a reventar, bueno en general cualquier puesto dentro del mercado. Nuestro pedido: * Albóndigas con sepias: 11,50€ la salsa de tomate especular con mucho sabor, la sepia no pintaba nada en el plato porque no fue cocinada con la salsa 8/10. * Patata fritas: 3,00€ refritas nada agradable 5/10. * Pimientos de padrón 7,50€ muy buenos 9/10. * Gambas al ajillo 17,50€ parecían o eran de de bolsa 6/10 * Dorada 17,50€ sin duda lo mejor y la recomendación del camarero, súper fresco y correcto de sabor 10/10👍🏻. * Ensalada rusa 5,90€ muy normalita 7/10.

Visitamos el Bar Central en el Mercat de la Boqueria con curiosidad, y la experiencia fue algo irregular. Las papas bravas y el pulpo estaban realmente buenos, bien preparados y con buen sabor. Sin embargo, los fritos no estuvieron a la altura: pesados, con exceso de aceite y poco sabor. La camarera que nos atendió fue muy amable y atenta, lo cual se agradece en un sitio tan concurrido. Eso sí, el espacio es bastante reducido, con mesas muy juntas, lo que hace que comer allí resulte incómodo si se busca algo de tranquilidad. Una opción aceptable para probar algo rápido, aunque con margen de mejora.

Tapas por turistas todo muy mal esecutado croquetas totalmente fría por dentro boquerones que parecía ervido en aceite y no frito, las bravas muy decepcionantes, el camarero muy amable y simpático

We ordered a fish plate and a meat plate, with beers. The food arrived before the beer, because they forgot about the beer. Food was good and fresh. Upon payment they will push hard for a tip and also, there's a cheaper meat plate, and the most expensive is 20€. We ordered the cheaper one, ate it thinking it was the food we ordered, upon checking the receipt, they had given us the expensive one. We asked for it being explained and noted that they had given us the wrong order. Also realizing that the 20€ meat platter was not worth 20€. Either they did this on purpose or maybe it was an honest mistake. But I'd be careful, cuz the whole place is a tourist trap with very hefty prices.

Llegamos aquí con intención de comer pero finalmente nos tomamos la copa de vino y unas patatas para compartir. Ni nos gustó el ambiente, ni el señor que nos atendía, y menos las patatas recalentadas y con sabor a aceite a precio alto. Nos sentaron en la barra de cara al pasillo de turistas, donde te tosen de bien cerca y es incómodo. Nos fuimos y comimos en otro sitio.

These guys think they can sell a whole potato as “patatas bravas” for like 10 Eur. What a joke. The location is nice but the food is as bland as the staff’s attitude. Not to mention overpriced.

Creo que me dejé mal guiar por los comentarios de este lugar, la comida es pésima, no coman nada frito por que se enfermaran el aceite creo que nunca lo han cambiado!! Todo podría eventualmente pasar es parte de la experiencia, pero la atención de un Garzón llamado Jose es lo peor que tiene este lugar, el hombre no deja de coquetear con algunas mujeres mientras mal atiende al resto, se jacta en español con los compañeros de con cual chica quedarse, de pésimo gusto la situación vivida, esta situación fue lo peor que vivimos en este lugar, platos y porciones muy pequeñas aceites para freír en pésimo estado… pero todo hubiera sido solo un mal sabor de boca menos la atención de este tipo el cual deja mucho que desear. Es un verdadero atentado y peligro para las mujeres que entran al lugar.

Pedimos una paella y nos dijeron que teníamos que esperar una hora Pedimos para picar y las bravas buenas,las croquetas normales y con los chipirones fritos, nos estrellamos, muy aceitosos, el rebozado pésimo y sabían aceite muy usado Intentamos comerlos con muuucho zumo de limón, pero se lo comenté a la camarera y le pedimos que se los llevara

Lo peor de lo peor. Un engaña turistas. La comida carisima y muy mala. Las albóndigas secas y con sabor a quemado: plato de 3 albóndigas 12 euros. Echen cuentas. Eviten el mercado de la Boqueria en general y este sitio en particular
