Ho scelto questo posto per la cena del mio compleanno e non avrei potuto fare scelta migliore! Ci siamo accomodati fuori, dove si poteva godere della splendida location sul mare che incornicia benissimo il ristorante e posso dire di aver gustato una delle cene migliori di sempre! Materia prima ottima e piatti davvero squisiti, e cosa non meno importante, un servizio davvero inaspettato, accompagnato da tanta disponibilità e gentilezza. Un posto davvero unico. Un compleanno che non dimenticherò mai.

We ordered a seabream from the seafood counter for two people to share. The fish counter was amazing - everything was fresh. The fish was delicious and reasonably priced for two people sharing. It was cooked Puglia style over potatoes, vegetables and olives and deboned at the table by the server. The chef made us some traditional pasta Assassin as a starter that had just the right amount of crisp and spiciness, even though it was off menu. The servers seem to share duty here as we were served by three different people while we were there. The dining room is finely appointed, it was a bit loud, but there were two tables of 8 nearby us. The water view is somewhat obscured by the traffic and the parked cars.

Just arrived in Bari and popped in for a beer and an aperol spritz around 1400. Wonderful service! They bought us complimentary tasters (focaccia, savory biscuits and a deep fried artichoke bite). Cocktail price comparable to Australian prices, beer a little less.

We had an amazing experience, I don’t know the name of our server but he offered the best service we’ve got here managing to make us laugh and feel welcomed and even went out of his way to fry up some cuttlefish we couldn’t finish raw after we realized it wasn’t on our taste. The white wine he recommended was excelent complimenting the sea food course wonderfully. For desert we got the lemon pastry and the tiramisu which was the best tiramisu we’ve ever tasted. Both me and my wife were pleased with the service atmosphere and food, 10 out of 10 would certainly be dining here again when returning to Bari.

We walked in without reservations, luckily we got the table If there is 6 stars I wanna rate the 6 stars they are beyond 5 ⭐️ The food are super fresh I picked Octopus and sea bream from the fresh seafood corner !!! OMG It’s so nice and so fresh Actually, every dish is so good. Whilst there are many tourist restaurants in the old town La Battigia was the best for quality seafood. It was not too busy so the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great selection from the menu. We chose pistachios pasta to start; mixed grilled fish as our second plate. Then lemon sorbet & tiramisu for desert.

6 stars out of 5! That’s how really good this place is. If you want a table, book it in advance, or try to get there before opening time, maybe you’ll get lucky with a place outside the terrace like we Did. For what I saw and recommand, it’s only for the people who likes fish and pasta, all kinds, but not for steaks Oysters, octopus, fish, everything looks so fresh and tastes absolutely fantastic! Locale curato, apprezzo che anche all'esterno non si senta freddo, ma l'interno è indubbiamente più bello e ricercato. Cibo buono, buon pesce, prezzi adeguati, piccolo appunto al servizio, che ha calcolato male i tempi, prima togliendoci i piatti degli antipasti da sotto al naso perché pronti due dei 4 primi, e poi facendo mangiare due di noi da soli, per le attese bibliche fra un primo e l'altro. Sicuramente ci sarà un'altra occasione per testare di nuovo il locale, magari non nel weekend.

Took lunch here. It was a good experience with pasta (pasta with con vongole and pasta con gamberi&pistacio). The waiters were in a rush, running all the time from one table to another. It was like an under pressure lunch. There were many clients inside and outside, maybe the reason is that they focus is on quantity, not on quality. But overall, the food was good.

Locale abbastanza ricercato, banco del pesce fresco da poter scegliere ciò che vuoi mangiare… ma ti siedi al tavolo e ti rendi contro che è entrata sporcizia dalla finestra leggermente aperta che dà sulla strada e nessuno se ne accorge. Il locale viene segnalato come medio spendente ma è tutt’altro, 3 antipasti e 4 secondi, 3 dolci e 1 calice di vino €350, neanche se tritone aveva pescato direttamente con il suo tridente il pesce. We went here for my birthday . We were in 5. The greeting at the door was ok. But we were not asked if we would like our big heavy coats taking. (The table next to us was asked!!). Our waiter was not smiley . We were left for quite some time offered only water and bread. I actually had to ask for a glass of bubbles in the end. I recently ate here. Once inside there was only one more party that was pretty loud, screams, and had loud FaceTime calls. We kindly asked for sit outside seeing 3 empty tables outdoors, with the reply that they are fully booked. These tables did not get filled during our stay at the restaurant. We expected a very different experience in this place. The waiters were very rough. They wanted us to eat all the same food. The pasta was very salty.

Sono a Bari di passaggio e volevo approfittare per un assaggio delle tipiche delizie del posto, ma sicuramente non è questo il posto giust!! Cercando su Google in questo ristorante appare la famigerata "tiella alla barese" che a gran sorpresa non viene invece servita, anzi alla mia richiesta del piatto c'è stata una smorfia come risposta da parte del cameriere. Ho deciso di restare a cena lo stesso per un risotto ai frutti di mare che reputo ben cotto, ma nulla di memorabile. Nota decisamente negativa è il personale alquanto poco professionale(piatti tolti senza neanche chiedere se avessi finito ad es.) e distante dalla calorosita' che caratterizza la bellissima città di Bari. Prezzi sopra la media, locale sicuramente suggestivo. Non consigliato.

Il locale è molto carino e l’atmosfera piacevole, ma purtroppo il servizio non è stato all’altezza delle aspettative. Antipasti crudi buoni, ma abbiamo dovuto attendere oltre un’ora per un antipasto cotto e dato che ormai ci aspettavamo arrivassero i primi abbiamo chiesto di non portarlo più se non era già stato cucinato. Ed infatti non è arrivato. Aspettiamo altri 20 minuti per il primo e sono arrivati ormai quasi freddi. Può capitare una giornata di difficoltà, ma sarebbe stato apprezzato almeno un piccolo gesto di cortesia, ma nemmeno i caffè offerti, o almeno una scusa.Speriamo che si sia trattato solo di un episodio isolato, perché il potenziale c’è, ma l’organizzazione va sicuramente migliorata.

Siamo arrivati in questo locale con un gruppo di amici e grandi aspettative, ma l’esperienza è stata deludente. Uno di noi non ha mai ricevuto l’antipasto e nessuno si è premurato di rimediare. I primi sono arrivati dopo quasi un’ora, tiepidi e poco curati. Infine, abbiamo pagato €.380,00 in sei persone senza ricevere scuse o un minimo di cortesia sul conto.

Looks great but costs a lot and leaves you wondering why. The service wasn’t warm, more “plonk it in front of them”. My crayfish was €70 and overcooked. The pasta lacked flavour. And there was a table with a loud barking dog. Wished we’d gone one block in to the lively streets with packed restaurants.

Don't go to this place unless you are Italian, or want to spend €500 to be well treated!!!!!!! The service is horrible, they make you feel unwelcome. We asked if we needed a reservation, they told us that everything was reserved, except a table (the worst surprise of all), two people waited on us, the adult woman was super unpleasant, the man with glasses was initially better than the first woman. They told us we couldn't have dessert in the restaurant. The only person who made you feel welcome was the man at the oven, he was an attentive and polite person. It took them 30 minutes to bring the bill.
