What an amazingexperience. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Jenny is gorgeous! If you're in Barstow you MUST come here to eat. Their soups look amazing. We had fajitas and it was the best we've ever had, and we've had it all over CA and AZ!
We were out of staters meeting with a long lost cousin and he recommended this eatery. We are very glad he did because the food was amazing and the staff could not have been any friendlier. We even got a parting gift from the owner. Will certainly try to get here again but it’s a looong way from Wisconsin!

I'm happy we found this place while on a road trip. Barstow must be the fast food king. I prefer patronizing local, independent businesses. We were not disappointed.
Jenny’s opened up on Main Street Barstow 16 years ago and quickly became a hometown favorite! When the old Denny’s relocated across the street 5 years ago, Jenny’s moved into their old location. This offered more seating and more parking for their customers. Jenny’s is named after the owner “Jenny”. She is in-the-job cooking and serving customers everyday! Jenny’s is a family owned business and the girls of Jenny’s have been with Jenny’s every single day from the beginning. Walking into Jenny’s, the ladies recognize you instantly. You are greeted and pleasantries are exchanged, and life updates are lovingly told. If you are “New” to Jenny’s, you are greeted with a smile and the ladies are happy to explain the menu and offer recommendations. The Chili Colorado is a local favorite! There are salads, tacos, wet burritos, enchiladas, taquitos and weekly special batches of homemade Menudo and Pozoli. I am partial to the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail! It’s a large glass chalice with ample pieces of cooked shrimp, slices of fresh avocado, chopped onions, diced tomatoes, cilantro and served in a delicious tomato sauce! Saltine Crackers and fresh slices of lime on the side! Jenny’s has a bit of everything on the menu! Ample seating available for larger parties and plenty of parking including spots for disabled plated vehicles. This is a “For Sure” stop on your road trip if you consider yourself a “Foodie”. Tell them Bonnie and Herb sent you!
Jenny's Grill Steak & Mariscos has great food and great service. Prices are very reasonable the staff are so welcoming. They're even open on Thanksgiving day for a few hours in case you want to purchase salsa etc..
Absolutely recommend! Food was excellent and the place itself was nice and relaxing, clean and decorated tastefully. Can't wait to go back!
Every time we drive through Barstow we have to stop at Jenny's. We discovered Jenny's by accident when we pulled into Denny's across the street thank God it looked more appealing at Jenny's. I place it in my top four of all-time pancake favorites. Place gets busy before 11:00 for the breakfast specials even if you don't catch the specials it's a great value for the portions in the taste you get show up anytime. I'm picky on coffee and don't mind getting refills here especially in the Jenny's mugs which are oversized and I took one home for a small fee what day will catch it for something other than breakfast but we're hooked

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jenny’s Grill – A Barstow Favorite! This isn’t my first time at Jenny’s Grill and definitely won’t be my last! I make it a point to stop here whenever I’m driving through Barstow even if it’s a few hours out of the way. The food is always delicious, fresh, and comes out fast. What makes this place extra special is the people. The owner and her family are so kind and welcoming they greet you like family and truly make you feel at home. The service is top-notch, and you can tell everything is made with love. I’ve had the menudo (SO flavorful), the ceviche tostada (super fresh), a combo plate with chile verde, and their micheladas are a must. Even the chips and salsa trio is memorable especially the green salsa 🔥 If you’re headed to Vegas, Palm Springs, or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop at Jenny’s Grill. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit!
This place has delicious food, great staff they go above and beyond their duty to accommodate our needs, the ladies here are super sweet and kind they truly pay attention to their customers so much so that when we pull in to the parking lot they set up my grandsons favorite table have our drinks ready and know what my grandsons order dino nuggets and fries. The food is the reason we go but the customer service is truly what keeps us coming back ❤️

You better come hungry! We were welcomed with some nachos and dips. All of them really delicious. The owner was super helpful as we are not accustomed to Mexican restaurants she explained the dishes to us. They tasted really good and it was too much for all of us to finish. So better come hungry ;) I would come again and recommend this place! Prices are super fair as well for the quality and quantity of the food. Thanks for the super friendly service and delicious food!
This is not a restaurant, but some kind of magical establishment. Despite the fact that there were many visitors, our food was served very quickly. We have never been served so quickly before. As for the quality of food, that's a separate conversation. we ordered steaks and salads. they were of excellent quality. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a delicious meal. and the waitress was incredibly friendly and guessed all my preferences and wishes. thank you very much!
We ate here on our way to Vegas for the Super Bowl 🏈. We loved the food and the waitress was kind and friendly... we got an AWESOME (Sombrero) Mexican hat! Went GREAT with our teams gear. Thank you for it all.
Wow! This place is such a brilliant restaurant on ROUTE 66. Barstow is a rough and run down place. From the moment that you walk in you are greeted with a smile and a warm hello. They sat me immediately and within a few minutes I had a cold drink, chips and salsa and chilaquiles with red sauce and 3 over medium eggs with rice and beans. My waitress was spectacular and the owner and others greeted me and checked on me throughout my meal. All for $17.32! I am from Utah but I promise to stop by every time I come through!
We were traveling through Barstow today and we thought we would pick a Mexican restaurant to eat at.We looked up reviews,etc.,and we decided on Jenny's Grill Steak & Mariscos.We were definately glad that we did. We ordered the three shredded beef enchiladas with Red Sauce,rice and beans.The red sauce over the enchiladas had melted cheese as well.I also asked for a couple jalapenos that were freshly charred on the grill.The shredded beef enchiladas tasted good and were flavorful.The spanish rice was good with the beans.I think the beans were pretty good with the right amount of lard,which I like.I mixed the rice and beans together and I put the chopped up charred jalapenos in it also which tasted wonderful. We also got the Carne Asada Nachos which were good and had lots of Asada meat on them.The cheese on top went well with the meat and chips,and had the right amount of crunch.I was also glad that they served chips and salsa with red and green salsa and pico.The red and green salsa had some proper KICK to them when eaten with the chips.I thought to myself that this must be the heat level that they like around there in their salsa which is cool. I love when we go to a Mexican restaurant and you get that heat. The charred jalapenos were delicious,and quite hot and complimented both the enchiladas and the rice and beans.The friendly waitresses were quite courteous and supplied us with whatever we needed.From the time we ordered the food to the time when the food came out to our table was surprisingly fast also.I say Great Job Jenny's Grill Steak & Mariscos.Your food tastes Great,and you can tell that the people that work there care about producing Great Food.
Within an easy walk from the Rodeway Inn where I stayed and came highly recommended. Very unassuming from the outside, I wasn’t even sure if it was open but I tried the door and was warmly greeted. All the usual Mexican food on the menu and I ordered the vegetarian nachos and a corona. Food arrived quickly and the staff were super nice. In and out in 40 minutes on a Sunday night. Perfect!

Very nice surprise, looked online for a good restaurant and found this place for seafood, Mexican food. It did not disappoint. Great friendly service and food quality was authentic and fresh. This is not a grease joint. The seafood dish was huge and well prepared. If in the area it is worth a stop.
I love visiting longtime diners that serve genuine, authentic food like this one. The look is iconic right down to the patched up booths and the cluttered checkout counter. The staff was very friendly and the prices were resonable. The only thing is, and I hate to say this, the food wasn't very good. WARNING ⚠️ First I must say I love to travel and find places to help people on their journey. This visit was one of the worst experiences. There was nothing wrong with building. Looked like it used to be a Dennys. Booth was comfortable. We got chips and salsa to start and I must say it was a top 10 experience with that. Unfortunately it was all downhill from there... in photos you will see a napkin full of pieces of "meat" that was inedible from taco. The food had looked good when arriving but the meat was a very poor quality. I personally can't remember ever having meat this bad . I'm including taco trucks. The rice was a very light color and my instincts were right in it being very bland. Top 5 worst. The beans were not terrible. Average quality. When getting the check, we noticed a significant hike in price compared to the prices stated on the menu. The receipt wasn't clear why. They gave a terrible excuse that didn't justify actions. They said our regulars know the difference and that there are extra charges. I guess they don't like to do business with out of towners. I got ripped off with food and the bill. Try any other place than this one. I guarantee it will be better. I don't understand how this place has good reviews.
