Avis sur Toasted Yolk Bellaire
Waiter was very nice and right with a smile, the drinks were strong and well made, the food did not disappoint, the atmosphere got crowded and yet it was a nice vibe early in the morning.
We stopped in with a party of 6. First we sat inside but it was so noisy that we asked to move outside -much better! Food was good, portion size was good, waitress did a good job. We don’t have this chain around us but would definitely try another one if we see them along the way
The food was incredible!! But the service was the most notable thing!! We had Shawn as our waiter and he was so kind and pleasant and got our food out quickly and it was delicious!
Toasted Yolk in Bellaire is always great. The food is comfort food at it's best! And James who works the bar area always welcomes everyone in with a smile! Great food and great service!
I come to this location frequently the food is amazing always comes out how it should every time. The service is very quick and top tier. From the host all the way to my favorite bartender James . Make sure you come in and sit up at the bar to get the best service in the house by him. Also shout out to the manager who comes by and checks on you everytime . 100% recommend coming to this location EVERYTIME .
I could hear 3-4 times a week for a couple years and James has been my bartender. He’s amazing always has my drink of choice ready knows my order to the T and he always makes sure to ask me about my family and other personal notes I’ve mentioned over time. I love this place and James is the Absolute best!!
Nice breakfast cafe that has high quality food, ample room, and good atmosphere. Staff is kind and helpful, and food arrives soon after ordering. Their eggs Benedict here is good, but Houston does have a lot of restaurants with good eggs Benedicts, so decent but nothing to write home about.
My husband and I had such a pleasant experience today for brunch. I had to do a review because IT WAS JUST THAT GOOD! I am disabled. Sometimes people don't have a lot of patience when they're seating you when they're busy. Our server, Saron was absolutely wonderful. She was patient while guiding us to our booth. It was our first time eating here. The food was perfection!! It was beautiful and for the first time. I didn't have to add seasoning. Or ketchup to my potatoes. The Hash brown casserole was delicious! My husband did not like poached eggs that chicken sandwich with the poached. Eggs Benedict thing made him change his mind. The service was extraordinary. We didn't have to call our server for any reason. Saron frequently visited our table, filled our glasses and she was such a ray of sunshine 🌞. Pleasant, professional and accommodating. With food and service as such, I see why your ratings are good. Thank you for a very pleasant experience.
My husband got us breakfast from here and it was very delicious. My favorite was the ham, French toast with oats and apple pie and the hash brown casserole. The only thing I will say is that for the French toast, I would have loved if the oats was more like a granola crunch instead of real oats, but other than that everything was delicious. Can't wait to come back.
My girlfriend and I came here for brunch. The food was excellent. Our server was very friendly and attentive to our needs, despite being very busy. Our food arrived fairly quickly. The atmosphere was that of any typical Cafe or diner. I highly recommend this place.
I went to this location last month with my dad for my birthday. For a Monday morning it was rather empty. The waiter was very attentive to us. Shortly after I arrived he brought me birthday donuts, which were nice and warm. The breakfast portions were nice and large, plenty for leftovers. Everything was fresh!
The Toasted Yolk Café is a must-visit! The blueberry pancakes are absolutely divine, fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. The shrimp and grits are equally outstanding—perfectly cooked shrimp with rich, flavorful grits. Excellent service and cozy atmosphere make it a top choice for breakfast!
I came here for the first time for breakfast with a few friends and we had a great time! It was busy, but we were well taken care of. The menu had a large selection of delicious sounding meals to choose from. We all ordered something different and were surprised by the amount of food we received. The pancakes were my favorite with the Hash-brown Casserole being a close second. The restaurant is in a shopping center, so the parking is shared with the surrounding businesses. We went at a busy time, so the parking lot was a bit crazy. We had to park In front of the Crumbl cookie place a little way down, but it was no big deal as the walk was not far. Also the option of stopping in for a little cookie treat on your way to your car is nice, you know, just in case you happen to be super hungry and the huge breakfast portions weren’t enough for you. 😁 Our waitress was lovely, the atmosphere was fun, the portions were generous, and the food was good.
Great place to enjoy breakfast, I went with the two eggs and a cake. Eggs and French toast were great, the grits not so good but with spicy sauce it tastes better. The service was really good and the staff is friendly and helpful. The place is nice and comfy. Where the place is located there is a good amount of spots to park and easy to reach. They also have tables on the outside if you prefer. Thank you!!
Tried this place over the weekend and enjoyed it! Great egg options, good options for kids as well. I ordered the toasted yolk and my wife ordered avocado sandwich! Good to have this option in the neighborhood. The drinks were OK therefore I gave 4 stars. Great service too!
Came to try this place because my friend told me it was yummy. And it was! I try the Ruben with tomato basil soup. Food was delicious and my server was sweet. The only reason that I’m leaving a 4 star is because when I walked in, and sit down and I had to wait for a server to finally come and acknowledge that I was there for like 15 minutes. 3 different servers passed by me, and no one said anything, and also the Bartender saw me sitting on the booth, and did not even offer water or anything.
Parking a breeze in the plaza, staff a dream, and the place gleamed. My wife and son raved about their YOLKWICHES, and my classic two eggs & bacon hit the spot perfectly. Everything fresh, tasty, and cooked to perfection. Four outta five stars for friendly faces, fabulous food, and a positive experience!
Okay, so, this place had good food (at least the food I ate was delicious). It was family friendly, offered great parking, offered seating inside and outside. and the price was affordable. There was no line when I went but all of the tables were filled inside. I sat at the bar and shortly after that (around 11:30am) the place started to fill up and there was a line out the door. They have a good mixture of food to choose from on their breakfast or lunch menu. They also offer very yummy brunch shots that are some of your favorite snacks. 4 starts because I waited 15 minutes for the server to even acknowledge my presence at the bar. She only took my order. She did not offer me water or bring me the napkin/silverware. I received these only when my food came and I had to ask the person that brought out my food.
This was our first visit to a toasted yolk and all four of us loved it. Great minds think alike, my wife and I shared a brisket scramble with hashbrown casserole, an English muffin, our son and daughter-in-law got the same but added bacon, good move! Three of us got hot cappucinos and one got an iced latte. We were told we could get a plate of churro style donuts for free so we said sure.....we got charged for them. We got a to go order of shrimp n grits for our buddy, she's welcome. Other than the snafu on the donuts, we'll be back for more goodies. They also have salads and sammiches. Second Visit......We thought this place is better for breakfast food than lunch. My wife got the fried green tomatos, didn't care for them, she ate two slices and I wasn't crazy about the one bite I tried. My yolk burger was better, named after the franchise and they missed the boat by not offering a fried egg on it. The outside of the bun was greasy, cut it up with a knife and fork. If you serve a greasy bun, provide a wipe wipe to go with it. My wife had an iced mocha coffee drink that she liked.
Me and a friend went to The Toasted Yolk today Dec 21, 2025, our experience wasn’t so great. The hostess sat us pretty quickly, we sat in the booth waiting on a server for five minutes. The hostess sat another table of 3 they were caucasian of course the waiter came to them in less than 2 minutes. Me and him decided to just leave, cause excuse me sir we were here first, but yep we gave the hostess the menus back and said have a good day😌
The reason because I drink coffee in the morning is because I wanna feel better but as soon as I sit at the bar to ask for my coffee, this guy always have a attitude I gived a good morning to him his answer was just wait a minute… I drink my coffee I tip him and I left, not even like ..” Have a good day “nothing! the guy seems like he’s having a bad day every day. That’s why I’m not coming back. I don’t know if is because I spent so many years in Milano Italy , but I think is the same in all the World the greetings in the morning say good morning. It’s not a big deal it’s just education, 6 dollars for a coffee is not even cheap I better go to Minuti Coffee
The original waitress that served our table was extremely rude and neglectful. She took 30 minutes to put my order in (there was no wait, and it was not busy). She dragged her feet the entire time. When I alerted her that there was a missing item and incorrect item on my order after she brought it out, she hesitated and did almost everything else before going to the back to correct by order (bust tables, take other orders, talk with the bartender). By the time she brought out the incorrect item it was cold! I never received the missing item, all while the bartender watched without helping. When I spoke to the manager, he said he would investigate. I’m confused on what there is to investigate when you can clearly see the wrong items on the table and her still dragging her feet around the restaurant with such a mean attitude. Overall disappointed, and management did not accommodate for such an awful experience.
